LOTS of Tulips- a sneak peek!

Check out this beautiful card!  This is one that was one of the make & takes that I made at On Stage. We used NEW upcoming Mini Catalog products to create it!

Check out these gorgeous tulips & the coordinating punch!  Aren't they just so pretty!

The punch matches the large tulip & the popped up leaf.  The little tulips I had to fussy cut out using my Paper Snips!
I stamped the pieces for this card at On Stage, but assembled my card at home.  I added some ribbon & an extra little strip of card stock to it- so make it more of a Susie card.

If you look closely at the tulips, can you tell that I added some Wink of Stella to all of them for some added sparkle?

This card reminds me of my Grandma Cox.  She had a beautiful tulip garden in her yard.  Oh how I have so many fond memories of staying at my Grandma's farm.  I sure hope our grandkids can say that about us someday!

stamp set:  'Timeless Tulips'
card stock:
  • Pear Pizzazz- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4" & fold for card base
  • Rococo Rose- 5 1/2 x 1/2"
  • Whisper White- 2" strips for tulip, leaves & words; 5 1/2 x 3 1/2"- stamp stems, leaves & tulips on this for card front; 4 x 5 1/4"- for inside of card
inks:  Pear Pizzazz & Rococo Rose
other:  Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon- 4" & 2 1/2"- just scalloped edge & tie in knot; Timeless Tag Punch (and I trimmed a little off of the top & bottom of this to make it more curved & oval shaped); dimensionals; Wink of Stella; Tear & Tape; Tulip Punch

Yesterday was a busy day of cooking, stamping & being with family!  We enjoyed our lunch & afternoon with my family for a huge Thanksgiving dinner!

I will be stamping all day today, getting ready for my team meeting that I have tomorrow, here at our home.  Tonight I'll be a farmer.  We load hogs at 6:00 p.m. & then some more at 10:00 p.m.- so I'll be going outside to help Deke.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Last night we all went to Ottumwa to our annual Movie Night.  We went to see Frozen II.  I think the kids all liked it alot & us moms, but I am not sure any of the dad's liked it.  The music & outfits & scenery in it were just amazing!  I would like to watch it again.  I am sure we'll buy it on Netflix when we can.

There is no school today & I have the day off of work!  I have LOTS of cooking for tomorrow & stamping for my class I have this weekend to get done.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

Modern Heart

Last week was Manda's birthday!  And I finally got to stamp & made this special card for her!  I think it turned out pretty cute!  It looks like her!  She said she liked it!

I LOVE this Modern Heart stamp set.  Modern is exactly what it is.  The words & the font in this this stamp set are fun too!  Check it out on page 51 in the Annual Catalog.

If you look closely at the card you can see that I used the swish stamp 2 times.  I stamped it off & over the heart image & then stamped it again full strength behind the heart.

I love Wink of Stella, as you can never have too much sparkle!  I added it over some of the triangles in the heart image & then over the top of the 3 little hearts too.
I used several new product that I just got! So it was fun creating this for her.

The cool die cut "Happy" words are from the Word Wishes Dies.   They too are super cool!  Check them out on page 197 in the Annual Catalog.

I purposely added 3 hearts & 3 rhinestones onto her card, to represent her 3 boys- Brody, Drake & Trey.

stamp set:  'Modern Heart' & 'Well Said'
card stock:
  • Highland Heather- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4"- fold in half for card base, 5 x 1/2"; 2 3/4 x 2 3/4"; 1 1/2" strip- die cut words "Happy"
  • Purple Posy- 5 x 3 3/4"; 2 3/4" strip- stamp heart onto this & fussy cut out with Paper Snips
  • Whisper White- 1/2" x 1 1/2"- stamp words "birthday" onto this; 4 x 5 1/4"- for outside layer of card; 4 x 5 1/4"- for inside of card
ink:  Highland Heather
other:  Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon- 6", Noble Peacock Rhinestones, Wink of Stella, Paper Snips

NOTE:  There is no ink pad to go with the Purple Posy ink pad.  But do note that the Highland Heather ink pad is a great accent color to go with this card stock!
 +++++++
Yesterday started out early for us- selling hogs & then working all day!  I took the Seeley boys to school & spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.  Last night I worked on stamping stuff!

This morning I'm headed to Manda's.  I'll take the twins to school & then spend my day with Trey & Ainslee.  Tonight the Wood Gang are all going to our annual movie outing.  There will be 17 of us- Josh, Kacie & kids; Nathan, Sarah & kids; Manda, Steve & boys; Deke & me- again this year!  (Everyone, but Brayden, as he can't join us this year- darn). We'll go to McDonald's for supper & then to the $5.00 movie night.  We are going to See Frozen II- so I can't wait!  I will probably like it better than the boys do.  After that movie is over with, Midway is playing for the late movie.  Deke suggested that he & I stay to watch it.  I'd love to......but not sure we can stay awake that late, as it is a long movie.  We'll see.  It is a movie that we'd both really like to see.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

The very first time I looked at the Holiday Catalog- this Snowman Bundle was my favorite!  I love snowmen.  But I was just truly wowed by the whole suite!  It is totally adorable!

If you came to one of my many Christmas Stamp-a-Stack classes in November, then you got to make this card.  I gave the option on whether you wanted to make it with the scarf or without the scarf!

The scarf if from the Let It Snow Embellishment kit that is part of this suite!
This snowman's smile just shows joy to me!

If you look closely you can see how I embossed the Pool Party card stock, using the Winter Knit Embossing Folder.  Check it out on page 19 in the Holiday Catalog!  It too is part of this Snowman (Let it Snow) Suite!!  WOW!
I added Wink of Stella on the snowman & underneath him- to add a little shimmer & make it look more like real snow!

Today Deke will be home to work on the farm all day!  Brayden is hoping he gets to go out & help him.  I'll hang out with the little ones.

A little treat!

This is a little treat that I took to give as favors when I went to On Stage last weekend.  It is always fun to give out little gifts to my friends!

The little pouch is great to hold candy or any other little gift that you'd like to put in it.  A gift card, money & many other things would probably fit in it!

My dear stampin' friend LeeAnn Greff, shared the measurements on how to make this.  She had made one with a Christmas theme.  So this is my version of her idea!

LeeAnn & I met many years ago at Founders Circle.  We became friends right away there.  We talk & share ideas with each other all of the time.  Almost on a daily basis we are stamping together.  When we need someone to spring an idea off of for suggestions, we message each other for help.  Thank goodness for texting & emails!  I just love it that we can stamp together so often, even though we are states away from each other.  We only get to see each other in person 1-2 times each year. She is a great friend & stampin' sister!

stamp set:  'Itty Bitty Greetings'
card stock:
  • Crumb Cake-7 x 4"- score as I have noted below-
  1. 7" side- score at 1, 1 1/2 & 4 1/4"
  2. 4" side- score at 1/2 & 3 1/2"
  • Old Olive- 1 1/2" strip- punch out leaf
  • Crushed Curry- 2" strip.  To make one daisy= punch out 2 daisies & stick them together with glue dots.  I took my bone folder & curled the end of the petal upward a little & then added a Perennial Essence Center to it
  • Whisper White- 1" strip- stamp words onto this & punch out using the Classic Label punch
designer paper:  Pressed Petals Specialty DSP0 2 3/4 x 2 1/2"- for the inside back of your treat; 2 3/4 x 7/8"- for bottom outside box flap.
ink:  Old Olive
other:  Leaf Punch, Medium Daisy Punch, Perennial Essence Centers, Classic Label Punch, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

This is what it looks like when it is all scored & ready to assemble!

NOTE:
My sample is Rich Razzlberry card stock,
not the Crumb Cake cardstock shown on my treat.
As I always try to make my samples a different color than what I'm actually using,
so that it doesn't get lost in piles of other things on a table at a class.

++++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Last night Brayden, Masen & Ainslee spent the night with us.  They went out with us to load a semi of hogs.  They have all been out on the farm to help us with baby piggies, but never big pigs.  They were all good & it went well.  When we got in, I hurried to finish supper, everyone got baths, we read books, played a game & went to bed.

This morning Deke is up to chore & head to another meeting today!  It is in Fairfield.  He'll work late on the farm again when he gets home from that.  I'll get the 3 kids ready, fed them all fed breakfast & take Brayden to school.  I'll then spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.   Brayden & Masen are going to the Uni-dome tonight with their Grandpa Doug (Sarah's dad), to watch a cousin play football.  Doug will bring them back here after the game.  So it will just be Ainslee hanging out with us tonight.  And then all of them will still be here tomorrow.

I hope you have a FABULOUS FRIDAY!
Happy Stamping!

This card is a swap that I made for my SU! On Stage last weekend.  I used the 'Rustic Retreat' stamp set from the Annual Catalog- pg. 49.

Look at the pile of these deer cards laying on our kitchen island, as I was creating last Thursday night.
I did a fun door fold card here too!  It is super easy to do & something fun & different!  You all know that I love fun folds!  This is one of my favorites- as it is so different.
How did I make that fold?

Yesterday was a busy day with Masen, Ainslee & Acea.  Nathan was in Des Moines for a meeting all day it was about 6:15 when he got home.  They were headed to town for Brayden's basketball practice.  As Sarah had a meeting in Fairfield.  When the kids went home I picked up toys, answered some emails & did bookwork.  Deke got in late, but the corn is finally all picked & he got 60 big cornstalk bales made.  I made him a late supper & we called it a night.  Our whole week is literally just crazy!

This morning we are up early.  Deke is off to chore & head to Ottumwa for another meeting.  I'm off to Manda's.  I'll take the twins to school & spend my day with Trey & Ainslee.  All of the boys will ride the bus out after school.  The Wood kids are here for the weekend, as Nathan & Sarah are out of town until Sunday night.  Tonight we load a semi of hogs at 6:00.  The 3 kids will go with us & we'll see how that goes.  We'll eat a late supper, take baths, read a few books & it will probably be time for bed.

I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

A notepad gift- using the Let it Snow Specialty DSP

Look at this SUPER CUTE Note Pad that my sweet friend, Sherri Peters gave to me last weekend!!  I love it!  What a special gift it is!!  Look at all of the detail & love she put into making this!  It made me feel so special that she gave it to me.
This is what the front looks like.  She used the Let It Snow Specialty DSP, along with the Stitched Be Mine & Layering Circles Dies.   Look at the ribbons, Enamel Dot embellishments & all of the little extras!
And she didn't stop....check out what is on the inside!!  She made 2 little pouches, to put receipts into.  And the other side, she has attached a note pad.
Look how she added more snowmen & pieces from the Let It Snow DSP.  It is just adorable!

It was a busy day & night with kids here.  Last night we played games, read books & shot hoops.  Deke worked in the field all day/night, as they are finally picking corn, but not having good luck.  As the combine broke down, the rain messed up getting cornstalk bales made, etc........so it was a short night here.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for a meeting.  He'll then come home & hopefully get cornstalk bales made- if they are dried out enough.

I'm off to Manda's this morning.  I'll take the 3 Seeley boys to school & spend my day with Masen, Ainslee & a friends little girl, Acea will be here too today.  The 4 big boys will ride the bus here after school.  When all of the kids have gone home I have lots I have to get done tonight.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

A stand up Post-it-Note holder!

DON'T MISS THE
On Line EXTRAVAGNZA SALE
that starts tomorrow- 11/20/19-11/22/19!
++++++++
Look at this cute post-it-note holder that I made for a retreat that I attended in September.  I made these for everyone that was there.  I thought they turned out cute!!!

I love the fall theme & colors that I used!

If you look closely at the depth in the leaf.  I used a sponge dauber & my Cajun Craze ink.  I added ink directly onto the inside of the leaf & then cut it out with the die.  Can you see how it shows the dimension, with the veins in the leaves popping out.  Neat huh!
This is what it looks like opened up!

How did I do it?
  • I started out with a 4x4" chipboard.
  • I covered it with a 4x4" piece of designer paper.
  • I made a cover for the post-it-note & covered it with card stock.
  • I decorated the front cover of it.
But the cool part is that this actually stands up!  I modified some clothes pins, so that they were "legs".
So it can stand up on your desk, bookshelf or table- super easy!
Check out how I hot glued these clothes pins onto the back of the chip board!

stamp set: 'Gather Together'
card stock:
  • Pretty Peacock- 4 1/4" x 3 1/8"- score at 3 1/8" & 3 1/2"
  • Cajun Craze- 4 x 1/2"- flag ends with Paper Snips; 2" strip- sponge Cajun Craze ink onto leaf die & cut out with Big Shot
  • Whisper White- 1 3/4"strip- stamp words & punch out
designer paper:  Come To Gather DSP- 4x4"
ink:  Cajun Craze, Pretty Peacock
other:  1 1/2" Circle Punch, Linen Thread; Basic Pearls (colored with my Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blend); Big Shot,  Magnetic Platform, Gathered Leaves Dies; Champagne Shimmer Spray, Stampin' Spritzer, Sponge Dauber, Paper Snips, dimensionals, glue dots, chipboard, clothes pins, hot glue. Post-it-Note pad

++++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Last night the Seeley family came out to visit & eat supper with us, so that we could celebrate Manda's birthday!  I made ham balls, cheesy potatoes, corn casserole & a yellow cake!  The 3 boys & I made wooden snowman.  They had fun making them!  And they turned out cute!

This morning I'm off to Manda's.  I'll take the twins to school & spend my day with Trey & Ainslee.
Tonight Masen & Ainslee will be here with us for awhile, as Nathan & Sarah have a meeting & Brayden has basketball practice.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Look at his felt hat & scarf.  They are from the Let It Snow Embellishment kit on page 19.

Here is a picture that Frenchie took of us on Saturday morning.  We had just got done eating breakfast.  The guys were off on the day & us girls were off to attend a fun filled full day of Stampin' Up! things!

Deke & I got home about 3:00 yesterday afternoon.  He chored & I unpacked & started laundry.  We then went to Brayden's basketball game.

A GORGEOUS red glimmer cardinal!

I have a GORGEOUS Cardinal to share with you today!

Check out this beautiful Toile Tidings Suite in the Holiday Catalog on pages 6-9!  This sweet has endless possibilities!

This was another one of the many cards that everyone made at my Holiday Extravaganza class last month.

Check out the sparkle on this cardinal.  I used the Red Glimmer paper underneath a stamped Window Sheet to make this awesome look!
stamp set:  'Toile Christmas' & 'Tidings All Around'
card stock:
  • Thick Very Vanilla- 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 4 1/4 & 5 1/2"- fold in half for card base
  • Very Vanilla- 4 x 4"- for inside of card
  • Garden Green- 4 x 4"; 4 1/4" strip to stamp wreath onto & cut out with die
  • Real Red- 3 3/4 x 3 3/4"; 1 1/2" strip- stamp words onto & cut out with die
  • Red Glimmer- 3" strip- cut out with cardinal die & use Paper Snips to cut off the fee;
  • Crushed Curry- 1/2" strip- stamp beak onto & fussy cut out with Paper Snips
  • Window Sheet- 3" strip- stamp cardinal onto using Black Stazon & then cut out using Cardinal die
designer paper:  'Toile Tidings DSP- 3 1/2 x 3 1/2"
ink;  Black Stazon, Garden Greenother:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Christmas Cardinal Dies, All Around Wreath Die, Red Rhinestones, Real Red 1" Ruched Ribbon- approx. 16", Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Paper Snips, Tear & Tape

NOTES:
  • I adhered the Red Glimmer to the back side of the Cardinal Window Sheet.  I also used a glue dot & adhered it under the beak.
  • BE SURE YOU USE STAZON ink, as Memento will not dry on Window Sheets- no matter how long you let it sit!
I made this fold to be like it was a book opening!  This is a view of it while standing up.  I used Tear & Tape underneath the ribbon to hold the end of the card secure & stuck together.

Christmas Crowd Etch-a-sketch!

Today it is simple Saturday!!  And check out this super cute card......

Oh my gosh......I LOVE this Etch-a-Sketch card!  I used the 'Christmas Crowd' stamp set in the Holiday Catalog on page 10 to make it.

Our boys totally love Etch-a-Sketches & they all have one.  They are so fun to doodle & draw with. When I showed this card to them- it totally met their approval!

I got a swap, similar to this card, from someone in the monthly group I'm in with Carols Group.  I am so sorry- I don't remember who made this- but if you know, please message me, as I'd like to give her credit.  I just loved it & knew when I saw it, that it would be a perfect card for one of my many Holiday Extravaganza projects.

Pop up inside present, with #Elfie!

#Elfie
Look at this cute elf!!!  He just makes me smile!!  All of the images in this #Elfie stamp set are adorable!

This is one of the fun fold card that everyone made at my Holiday Extravaganza class last month.

I used the Winter Knit 3D Embossing Folder & the Let it Snow Specialty DSP on the front of this card too.

But check out the inside of it.
On the inside I added a little pop up Christmas package.  The card lays flat when it is shut, but when you open the card up, the bottom of the box goes down & the package is opened.

You could add some cash or a gift card to the inside of the package if you wanted to!
It is neat doesn't it!

Would you like to know how to add a package like this to your card?  Read on- I have step-by-step photos & instructions so that you can do it too!

What are the measurements for this package?
  • Whisper White- 8 x 2"- score at 2, 4 6"= base piece for package.
  • Whisper White- 2 x 2 1/2"- score at 1/2"= add on piece for the box of the package.
  • DSP- 4 x 3/4"= fold in half before adhering to the Whisper White card stock.  Be sure to link up your center fold with the center fold of the Whisper White card stock box piece.
How do you do it?
  • This is what you want it to look like- when you have it all adhered together.
  • Add 4 strips of tear & tape as shown.
  • For the package bottom- add a strip of tear & tape to along the top score area, right along the top of side of the scored line.
  • Stick this face down onto the back side for the strip.
  • Add the strip of DSP along the front center edge.
  • Flip the bottom square up so that it is in between- when it is folded up.
  •  Now peel off the 4 tear & tape strips, fold in half as shown below.
  • Turn it over & adhere it to the inside of the card (bottom) center.
  •  You now have your package added to the inside of your card!
ENJOY making this!  If you have any questions- don't hesitate to contact me!

stamp set: #Elfie
card stock:
  • Real Red- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4" & fold in half for card base; 4 1/4 x 2"
  • Whisper White- 4 x 2 1/4- stamp elf on;  4 x 2 1/4"- stamp inside greeting on; 2" strip- for inside tag using oval tag die; 1' strip- stamp words onto & punch out using Classic Label Punch

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Then Ainslee stayed with me last night while Sarah was gone & Nathan, Brayden & Maswen went to 6th grade boys basketball practice.  Deke worked late on the farm & I burnt the midnight oil stamping.

This morning we are up early & on the go.  Deke is off to chore & I'm finishing up my swaps & packing.  We are headed out the airport soon, as we are going to our fall Stampin' Up! On Stage event.  It will be a fast trip out & back.....as we won't be there long, but I'm thrilled we are going!  My adopted downline, Lynda is meeting us at the airport & flying out & back with us.  And my downline, Becky P & her husband will meet us at the event.  Tonight the 3 of us have a swap with some demonstrators that my friend, Rhonda is hosting.  I'll then go to a leaders Centre Stage supper & event.  Deke will hang out with some of my friends husbands.  And then tomorrow it will be an all day demonstrator On Stage Event!  WOO HOO!!  I can't wait to see everyone!  AND I can't wait to see the upcoming Occasions & Sale-a-bration Catalogs.  We'll see lots of demonstrations!!  I hope I learn lots of new things to bring home & share with all of you at my upcoming classes.

Are you planning to come to one of my many Annual Calendar classes in December?  If so you'll get to use lots of new products then- making your new 2020 4x4 chipboard calendars!  And you'll then get to see sneak peeks of NEW products that will start on January 3rd, 2020!

I will have quick posts each morning, with a project to share with you while I'm away.  So be sure you check back by tomorrow!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!
