Hello There

WOW- this card is gorgeous!!  It is one that my downline Dawn created for us to all make when we were together in New York last week!

She used the Noble Peacock Specialty DSP, along with the Tasteful Backgrounds Dies & the words are from the 'I Say Hello' stamp set!
It was so much fun for me to get to stamp & not have to create everything, the night we all stamped together.  I just love how this card turned out.

New York

This is a photo of us taken last Wednesday when we toured Alexadria Bay by a big boat.
We took a tour of the Thousand Islands & sailed up into Canada.
On our way back we stopped at the Boldt Castle.
Isn't it just gorgeous here!!
The water was so blue & pure looking.
The rocks & all of the stone walls/buildings- were amazing!

I am finally home!!  Lynda & I had a delayed flight getting home through Chicago, but thankfully we made it!  I walked in the door about 2:30 yesterday morning!!  Now to play catch up on my piles of many things!

I had a WONDERFUL time with my Downline that I spent last week with in upper New York!  Lynda & I flew to Syracuse- where my downlines Rory & Dawn picked us up at the airport.  We drove to Watertown (in Northern New York) & spent 4 days at Rory & Dave's home.  They were awesome hostesses & totally spoiled us!  We did a little site seeing almost every day!  Wow- there is just sooo much history & beautiful country up there so see.  I LOVED it!  I had never been to New York before.  We did a boat ride, light house tour, shopping, museums, restaurants, winery's, and the list goes on & on!  We went to a different little bay town each day.  And of course we stamped a little every day too!!  Some of Rory's team were with us each day when they could join us!  Then on Thursday evening, many of Rory's downline came over for supper, some card swapping, stamping & sharing of questions/ answers about SU! things!  I took my NEW Holiday Catalog products with me that I had gotten on our Greece incentive trip & they all got to play & create with some NEW SU! products too! (Which was sooo fun!)

Yesterday I spent my day trying to catch up on things.  I can honestly say that I am beat!!  I need to find a burst of energy so that I can get caught up!  It is just amazing how much happens at home when you are gone & the piles I now have to get done.  After supper last night Deke & I ran my car to town, as I have an oil change/repair appointment for it today.  We stopped by the Seeley's to see the boys, Manda & Steven & then stopped to get an ice cream cone at Walkers' on our way out of town.  And then we watched a good war movie on tv, before getting to bed.

This morning Deke was up early to chore & head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.  I got up when he did & created this card!  I'm working on laundry, paying bills, answering emails, etc.....and have to get my July class project boxes all emptied & put supplies put away!

The Wood family (Nathan, Sarah & kids) have been on vacation in Branson & they return today.  So I don't have any kids today & I don't plan on leaving the house- other than to feed my animals & water my outside plants.  I hope I get a LOT done that is in my piles & I have lots of stamping I need to get done too.

I am such a home body & this month has been sooo busy & I've been gone alot!!  I have enjoyed my adventures- but I am very happy to be home, sleeping in my own bed & being with Deke, our family & pets again!

I have a jam packed week- which includes baby piggies too on top of everything else going on!  So what is that old saying- "There is no place like HOME"!

Goota run........I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

As you are reading this I'm off to the airport & flying to New York.  My side-line Lynda & my downline Dawn are joining me.  We are going to go stay with my downline Rory.  We met Rory when she lived in Iowa.  We don't get together very often since she moved back to New York.  So we are all looking forward to spending the next few days together.  We'll be stamping too!!  I am so excited to meet Rory's team & spend time with them too!!

So I pray we have a safe trip.  We are flying through Chicago (which I am so dreading).

Have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!

There isn't much stamping on this card, but with this DSP- you don't need much.

I got a card similar to this one from my dear friend Sandy Carlson & I LOVED it- so this is my take of hers.

Yesterday was a wonderful day full of stamping!  Ruth & Sandy were awesome hostesses with yummy treats & great help!  And BLESS Heather, who ended up staying late to help us too.  She needs a big shout out & we give her lots of thanks for her extra hands to keep thing moving along, stamping & getting cleaned up & out of there in time.

Last night I picked up a Casey's Pizza for our supper on my way home.  I only did a few things & finally called it a night.  We went to bed about 9.  We were both just beat!  Deke has been moving pigs & powerwashing the past few days/evenings & this heat has been tough & draining.

This morning we are looking forward to a little cooler weather.  Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.  I'm up early to unload my car full of stamp stuff from yesterday's classes & then work on placing orders- until the kids get here.  I'll spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.  Tonight I'll be a busy bee working on placing order & stamping!

Delightful Tag Topper Punch!

Where did I get this fancy scalloped edge circle that I used to layer with here?

Keep on reading & you'll find out!
I used the Delightful Tag Topper Punch!

I cut a piece of card that that measures 2 1/2 x 2".
I slid it into the Delightful Tag Topper Punch.
I punched one end.
And then put the other end in & punched it too!
NOTE:  When I punched the 2nd end- I was careful to make sure that it was centered in the punch, so that it punched evenly.
I used my fingernails to hold onto it & help center it.
You could use a paper piercing tool too to help slide it, so that it is center.
And this is what it looks like when both ends are punch!
Cool huh!

'Beautiful Friendship' with Faux Silk technqiue!

Check out this pretty Hydrangea card!!  It is one of the cards that everyone joining me for my July monthly classes will be making!  I used the cool new stamp set called- 'Beautiful Friendship'.  Look at page 123 to check it out!

If you look closely at this card, you can see that I did a Faux Silk technique over the flower/leaf images.  It is really hard to see in the photo, but in person it is really pretty!

How did I do the Faux Silk technique?
  1. Stamp flowers/leaves onto the Whisper White card stock.
  2. Take a piece of tissue paper & wad it up.
  3. Carefully open up the tissue paper, but do not flatten out- leave as many wrinkles & creases in it as possible.
  4.  Use a glue stick & rub it all over the entire piece of card stock with the flowers/leaves stamped onto it.
  5. Lightly press the tissue paper over the flowers/leaves images, so that it sticks to the glue.
  6. NOTE:  BE sure you leave the crinkles in the tissue paper.......that is what makes it look cool.
  7. NOTE:  BE sure that the tissue paper is a little bigger than the size of your card stock.
  8. Take your Paper Snips & cut around the edges of the card stock, cutting off any excess tissue paper.  (OR you can tuck it under & onto the back side of the cardstock.)
  9. I added some Basic Pearls over the tops of a few of the flowers.
So what do you think?  Do you like it?  Don't you too think it is pretty?

This NEW In Color called Sea Side Spray is a new favorite color of mine!!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  It was super hot & humid & we ended up getting rain.  So the races were cancelled.  Deke worked late & I worked on bookwork.  Manda, Steve & the boys stopped out to see us for a few minutes too.  We are still so tired & not adjusting well to the time change & jet lag.  We ended up going to bed about 10:30- which is early for us.

This morning Deke is up early to move pigs & hopefully get alot done before it gets super hot.  I'll be working on stamping stuff until the kids get here & then spend the day with them.  Tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil cutting card stock, when the kids go home.

I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!
