Florals In Bloom Sympathy Card

 

Check out today's card.

Lately I have been needing a lot of sympathy card.

So here is one I made last night.

 

I used the 

#167041- Prayers & Promises stamp set= $20.00

(Be sure you check out this stamp set, as it has great words in it!)

 And I also used this pretty floral DSP.

#165175- Florals In Bloom DSP= $12.50 

Notice the Rhinestones?

You can't tell by the photo, but it person it really shows. 

As I colored the Rhinestones using my Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends so that they are a light purple.

• Fresh Freesia- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4" & fold in half for card base
• Peaceful Pine- 2 x 5 1/4"- emboss using Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder

• Peaceful Pine- 3/4 x 3 1/4"

Lovely Arrangements "Triple Stamping" flower card

WOW!

Check out this pretty flowery card!

I love the way it turned out.

 

I did the 'Triple Stamping" technique. 

 

HOW DID I DO IT? 

Here are the 3 different sizes that the Basic White cardstock is:

• 4 x 5 1/4"
• 3 x 4 1/4"
• 2 x 3 1/4

Then lay the 3 pieces of these cardstock, on top of each other, so that you have even spacing around each layer.  

NOTE:  Add a TINY bit of adhesive to one corner of each of the 2 smaller Basic White Layers, so that they don't move.  As you will want to carefully pull them apart after you are done stamping.  Don't use too much adhesive- as you don't want them stuck together too tightly.  You are just trying to keep them from moving around during stamping. 

Then you stamp over the top of all of them at one time- as if they are just one piece of Basic White card stock.   
NOTE:  If you have a fine line along the edges (between the different layers of card stock) that doesn't get quite stamped well- no worries!!  When you add your Fresh Freesia layer piece behind the Whisper White stamped flowers- you won't be able to see that little edge that doesn't have a crisp stamped image on it.

Frightfully Fun Quilted Pumpkin Decor

 

BOO! 

Check out this cute pumpkin framed decor I made.

It looks like it is quilted doesn't it!

I just love the way it turned out! 

 

I used these July Online Exclusive products-

#168168- Frightfully Fun DSP= $13.00  

#168230- Stitched Stocking Dies= $41.00 

 

How did I do it? 

I started out my die cutting the black pieces.

I then die cut the Pumpkin/Timid Tiger pieces.

I then laid out all of my die cut squares onto a piece of cardstock

to see what it looked like & if I had enough pieces all cut.

And then I adhered each of the die cut squares directly to a piece of 

Basic Black card stock that measures- 6 1/4" x 8 3/4".

Then adhered to a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock that measures- 7 x 9 1/4"

And lastly to a piece of Basic Black card stock that measures- 8 x 10".

And I put this into a 8 x 10" wooden frame.

CUTE Sour Cream Halloween Treat using Spooktacular DSP

Check out these cute HALLOWEEN TREATS! 

The tubed one are called Sour Cream containers.

They are each to make & fun to add a little gift or treat to. 

 

I used the

#168219- Spooktacular 6x6 DSP= $13.00 July Online Exclusive

 How did I do it?

#1- add Tear & Tape along the edge of the DSP 

#2- roll the DSP & adhere together with the Tear & Tape you added along the edge to make a tube

#3- add Tear & Tape along the bottom edge of the tube

and squeeze the tube shut so that the sides are attached to each other

#4- now is a great time to add a little snack/treat or gift to your container 

#5- finally add Tear & Tape along the top edge of the tube & squeeze together so that the 

front & back of the top are attached together other.

"Spooktacular" Halloween Banner

You all know that I love Halloween.

So I just couldn't wait to created with this!

 

Check out this adorable pumpkin!!  

 It is a 6x6" piece of DSP that I cut using the

I love how the back side of each 'face' are stripes!

 

So out of this DSP I made a banner to hang on our fireplace. 

Isn't it just adorable!!

 

My dear friend, Amy Storrie inspired me to create this banner!

How did I do it?

 I used the largest Banner Die & put it like this to die cut it out!

 

This is what it looked like when I cut it- so there is very little waste!

I then punched holes in the corner tops & weaved the ribbon through it.

Purple Begonia Belle card

 

WOW! 

Check out this fun z fold card doing the masking technique.

 

Notice how I did not add words to my card front.

I always add words- but I couldn't find a spot/placement for them that I was happy with 

so I decided to omit words from the front & just add them to the inside of my card.

 

Isn't this just a gorgeous flower!

I made this card using the July Product of the Month the-

'Begonia Belle' stamp set.

The flower/leaves are both 2 step stamps.

I made these using 2 flower stamps & 2 leaf stamps.

Both of these 2 flowers were made using the same stamps.

But I just stamped the order of them differently.

I prefer the flower on the left.

Which one do you like better?

  How did I stamp the flower & leaves?

Check out my chart above that I made.

#1. stamp the flower/leaf image full strength

#2. then ink up the other flower/leaf stamp

#3.  stamp it off onto your grid paper 

#4. now stamp it over the top of the full strength flower/leaf image that you stamped first.

 

Next I made a MASK of the flower using a sticky post-it-note.

As I stamped the flower images onto the post-it-note & then fussy cut out around it using scissors.

I put the post-it-note flower image over the top of the stamped flower on my card front

AND THEN I stamped the leaves.

Once you have both leaves stamped you pull off the post-it-note flower.

It now looks like the leaves are behind the flower.

This is called the masking technique. 

Cool huh! 

Isn't this masking technique easy & fun to do!

I love how detailed the flower/leaves are how they just pop!

stamp set:  'Begonia Belle'- July Product of the Month

card stock:

• Gorgeous Grape- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"- z fold for card base
• Gorgeous Grape- 1/2 x 5 1/2"- adhere to white card front (underneath stamped flower) & then trim off using scissors
• Old Olive- 3 3/4 x 5"
• Basic White- 3 1/2 x 4 3/4"- stamp flower/leaves at the top of this for card front.  Then adhered the angled DSP to the bottom of this Basic White CS piece.
• Basic White- 3 1/2 x 4 3/4"- for inside of card

designer paper:  Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP-

• 3 1/2 x 3"- diagonally cut in half at the 1" mark from both ends 

inks:  Gorgeous Grape & Old Olive

other:  glue dots; Paper Trimmer; scissors

now retired:  Mossy Meadow & Gold Ribbon

Non SU!:  Post-it-Note paper
