Boo To You!!

I LOVE this cute monster & I love this fun Halloween Treat project!

This box is one of the many projects everyone will be making with me at my upcoming Halloween Treats classes this month!

I used one of our Acetate boxes, made an inside liner for it & then decorated the outside of the box.

I thought that this box would be perfect for many different types of treats......including candy, cash, gift card, pencils, etc.......

And this box would just have to be for Halloween.  You could just change the colors & the stamp set & it could be used for many different occasions!
You can see the glare from the acetate box in this photo.  But isn't this cool!  I love the library books with this monster.

stamp set:  'Boo To You' & 'The Raven' (words)
card stock:
  • Pumpkin Pie- 5 3/4 x 10 1/4"- score 1/2, 1, 5 3/8 & 5 7/8- then turn & score at 1 1/2"

Brayden's football game got cancelled due to the rain yesterday- so literally I stamped & did stamping bookwork all day/night.  I got caught up on alot- but still have many boxes left to get done in the next couple of nights.  Deke worked outside all day, moving pigs & powerwashing.  We are getting ready for new baby piggies that are coming in the next couple of weeks.

This morning we are both up early.  Deke is off to chore & head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.  I'm up early to get some stamp things put away- that are all laid out in my family room (so that the room is ready for kids).  I'm then headed to Manda's, will take the boys to school & spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.  The other boys will ride the bus out after school.

Tonight I'll be stamping!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday I spent the whole day stamping!!  It was chilly & wet out- so it was a good day to be inside.

Today Brayden is suppose to have a football game.  I was planning to go to it, as today is the first Sunday I've had off the past 3 weeks.  I assume with the rain- it will get rescheduled.  So guess we will see.  I have lots of stamping for my October monthly classes & Annual Holiday Extravaganza to get created......so I will be a stamping fool!

I hope you have a SPECIAL Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

I used the awesome new tree stencil from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks.  Check it out on page 35 in the Holiday Catalog!

Does this card look spooky?  Probably not.....but it sure is a super cute card!!

You could change the colors of it to brown or even just the words & it could be a card used for other occasions too!

This is another one of the cards that everyone will be making at my upcoming Halloween Treats Classes.  Are you joining me at one of my Halloween Treats Classes?

A Snow Front - wooden tag!

I found some cute wooden tags at our local Dollar General Store & stamped on them!!  Stamping on wood is something I don't think I had ever done before.

It was easy!!

NOTE:  I did learn that when you press the stamp down onto the wood- you do want to hold it down with pressure for a few seconds- so that that ink will absorb into the wood.

This is a fun tag that I made for my nephew & his fiances' couples bridal shower bag gift.

I used the 'Snow Front' stamp set, along with the 'Make a Difference' alphabet stamp set.    This 'Make a Difference' stamp set has the alphabet & the numbers both it in!
This 'Snow Front' stamp set is just totally awesome!!  It is a stamp set with endless possibilities!  It is definitely a stamp set that has all seasons in it.
stamp sets:  'Snow Front' & 'Make A Difference'
card stock:  NONE
inks:  Early Espresso, Garden Green
This is what it looks like hanging on their gift bag.  I told them that they could use it as a Christmas ornament on their tree!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Trey, Ainslee & I ran to Osky to deposit a hog check.  We played for awhile outside when we got home.  The 4 other boys rode the bus here.  We played outside a bit- it was just a gorgeous day!  I took supper up to Deke'e parents & then worked on stamping stuff all night.

Today I'll spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.  Tonight we were suppose to go racing in Memphis, but the rescheduled them due to the predicted rain.  So I hope I get lots of stamping done tonight & tomorrow for my upcoming October classes.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Halloween- spooky ghost!

I love fall & I like Halloween!!  There are tons of cute Halloween products in the Holiday Catalog!!   I have used this drawer card layout many times over the year!  It is fun to change it up a bit, using current products!

Check out this one that I made yesterday.  I think it turned out cute!!
So what do you think?

stamp sets:  'Wonderfully Wicked'- (Spider Web); 'The Raven' (Words); 'Spooktacular Bash' (Mummy); 'To Every Season' (bat)
card stock:
  • Basic Black- 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 5 1/2"for card base; 1 x 3 3/4"(x3)-for drawers
  • Whisper White- 4x4"- for inside words to be stamped on; 2" strip- to stamp mummy onto & fussy cut out; 2" strip to punch out large ornament & cut to make 2 ghosts
  • Pumpkin Pie- 2 1/2 x 3/8"- stamp words onto & snips ends using Paper Snips
  • Smoky Slate- 3/4" strip- stamp bat onto & fussy cut out with Paper Snips
inks: Black Memento, White Craft
Stampin'Write Marker:  Black
other:  Everyday Label Punch, Frosted Epoxy Droplets, Paper Snips, Large Ornament Punch, Dimensionals, Sponge, Monster Bash Enamel Shapes (small black circles for ghost & mummy eyes)

So I was wanting a ghost.....and there aren't any current ghost stamp images.  I searched the Annual & Holiday Catalogs to try to find something I could use to make a ghost.  So check out below what I came up with & how I made this ghost!
I used the Large Ornament punch & cut off part of it- making 2 ghosts out of it!
Look at how I did it!
And then I used the smallest black Enamels from the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes for the ghosts eyes & I drew his mouth with my Basic Black Stampn' Write Marker.

If you have any questions about this......don't hesitate to contact me!

Gather Together!

Here is a cute jar mug that I decorated for fall- to give as gifts.

I thought that this mug was perfect for holding almost anything- including your stampin' supplies- like your glue, bone folder, paper piercing tool, etc.

I found these jars at the Dollar Tree, while I was there looking for something else.
Check out how pretty this leaf is!  I stamped it using Pretty Peacock ink, onto Pretty Peacock card stock!!

Do you see the sparkle on the leaf?  I used a Champagne Shimmer Paint Alcohol Spray on it to make it sparkle!
I love these colors together for fall!  And the Pretty Peacock new In Color is one of my favorites!  It just goes with so many different colors!  Doesn't it just look great here!

stamp set:  'Gather Together' & 'Tiny Keepsakes' (for the word)
card stock:  Pretty Peacock, Cajun Craze & Whisper White
designer paper:  Come To Gather DSP
ink:  Pretty Peacock
other:  Come To Gather Ribbon Combo pack (Cajun Craze twine), Gathered Leaves Die, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Die, Layering Circles Die, dimensionals, glue dots

I just had to share these photos.......as
Trey & Masen are both in pre-school this year!
They go all day long, but the go opposite days.
It will be great for them, but it has been hard getting into a routine.
They both love it!
It is always great to see them each morning when I drop them off!
And then hear all about it when they get off of the bus here after school.
I can't believe that they are growing up so fast!

Natrhan Wins!

Last weekend was the Fall Challenge in Osky.
It was the first time I had missed that special race in over 30 years.
I was gone for the weekend to a stamping retreat, so couldn't be there.

But Nathan WON!
Here is a photo of my family- minus me & Brayden.

My Haunted House!

Check out this awesome Haunted House.  My inspiration for this decor came from my demo friend- Melissa Davies.  She shared one she had done & I made this one!!

The house is covered with the Monster Bash Designer Paper.  I then used various other images out of the Monster Bash DSP to put images in some of the windows.

I also used-
  • The Cat & Spider Web images from the 'Wonderfully Wicked' stamp set.
  • The Words & the Bat images & small punch from the 'To Every Season' Bundle.
  • Wicked Die & Spider Die from the Wicked Dies.
Here is a little closer up photo of it!!!  I just loved the way it turned out!

stamp sets:  'Wonderfully Wicked' & 'To Every Season'
card stock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Black Foil
designer paper:  Monster Bash
ink: Black Memento
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Wicked Dies, Every Season Punch Pack (small bat), Champagne Shimmer Paint
NOTE:  The Big Bat doesn't have a punch for it- so I fussy cut it out using my Paper Snips.

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  The boys all rode the bus here, but Manda & Steve were here waiting on them.  We then headed out to Grinnell to Brayden's football game.  He had a great game & the boys looked great!  They won!

I worked on Su! things when we got home a bit & called it a night.

This morning I'm up early to stamp before I head out the door.  Everyone has early meetings- so I will have all of the kids.  Take the 4 boys to school & then spend my day with Trey & Ainslee.  Tonight Masen & Brayden will be here after school.  And when everyone has gone home I'll be stamping!

Gotta run.......

Come to Gather- fall card!

I love this card!!  It is a totally Susie card.

I used a folded baby wipe & ink refills, to stamp into & get this rainbow of different colors on the leaves.

Can you guess what colors I used for the ink refills?
  • Soft Suede
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Crushed Curry
  • Old Olive
Look closely at the embossed leaves.  I used a sponge dauber & Soft Suede ink.  You add the ink directly to the detailed (cutting side) of the die, lay it face down onto your card stock & cut it with your embossing folder.  It is so cool that just a little color can add so much dimension to the cut out leaf!
Look at both of these cards.  Which direction to do you like better?  Vertical or Horizontal?

I'm sure you already know that I like the horizontal one the best!!!

How did I do it?
1.  Randomly add dots of ink refill onto the baby wipe.  Leave a tiny space between them or have them barely touch- as they will run into each other as they absorb into the baby wipe.
Here are the 4 colors I used- Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede
2.  Press your stamp directly into the baby wipe.  Notice how I used a sour cream lid under my baby wipe & then I also have my paper piercing mat under that- so help it get an even coverage.
IMPORTANT:  You want to go up & down to ink your stamp in the same spot.....do not turn or go in various locations or you'll add different ink colors on top of each other- which will make the colors muddy!
3.  Then stamp them onto your card stock.
4.  Reink your stamp & stamp another leave onto your card stock.

Check out my pile of cardstock pieces I did here!

stamp set:  'Come to Gather'
card stock:  Old Olive, Soft Suede & Whisper White
ink pad:  Soft Suede
ink refills:  Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry & Soft Suede
other:  Baby Wipe, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Gather Leaves Dies, Come to Gather Ribbon Combo (Cajun Craze twine), dimensionals, Glue Dots

I hope you like this card & you'll give this fun technique a try!

Sunflowers!!

Wow is all I can say!!  I just think this is gorgeous!!  I am so happy with how everything for this project turned out!  I just love it!  It is so totally Susie for sure!

Open up your Annual Catalog to page 23!!  There is a daisy easel there- that is similar to this one.  I copied that one- but I totally changed the colors!  I made mine so that it looks like fall!  Just look at how pretty these daisies are!! And the daisies are just made with punches!!

This was a fun project to do & it didn't take very long at all!
And I used some of my favorite words in the center of this too!!!  "Blessed" & "Grateful"!

I will share more about this project......sometime in the next few days!  I've been swamped this week with lots going on with stamping, kids & pigs.  So be sure to read over previous posts sometime next week so you can get more details!

I want to share with you how I made the flowers, what products/supplies I used & fill you in on more of the details of this!

I am hoping that next week will be a little calmer (as that is the plan anyways right now).  None of us here are quite back in the grove yet.   I know we are all tried!

Ainslee got to ride a couple rounds in the field with Papa today!  She loved it!

Yesterday was a busy day!  Deke got some pumping done on our neighbors field.  And I spend my day with the kids.  We were outside for awhile in the morning & some in the afternoon too.  It was a beautiful day!!  The weather was great!  It was cooler- which also meant that school didn't let out early for a change.  So the bigger boys rode the bus here after school.  Luckily Grandma had made some oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies- as everyone was starved.

When the kids went home I burnt the midnight oil working on projects for my weekend!  As I'm getting together with some friends.  We'll be stamping, visiting & doing some painting!  I can't wait & I'm looking forward to it.

It was a short night for me.  As we are up early at 5:00 to sell  hogs.  We'll head out to mark, sort & load them.  I hope we have a good trucker again.   And I'll then spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.  The 3 Seeley boys will rid the bus out after school- so I'll see them then.  Tonight my family will all be going racing.....for the Fall Challenge in Osky.  I hope that Nathan has good luck!!  I'll be patiently waiting to get my text updates, since I am not able to go with them.  I will be sad to miss it- as this will be the first Fall Challenge I've missed in close to 30 years.

Gotta run.......
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Come To Gather

Yup- fall is definitely on my mind.....I'm lovin' all of the cool fall things I am seeing!

Have you checked out the Come To Gather DSP on page 48 in the Holiday Catalog!
Well- that is what I added to these wooden pumpkins that I found at the Dollar Store!
Doesn't it look cute on them!
So see- our SU! products can be used for so many projects (including home decor)!
I also really like the color of this pumpkin- it is a great match to our Cajun Craze- so that worked out perfectly when pairing it with this DSP.

And then check out the tag!  That is one of my favorite saying.....Thankful, Grateful & Blessed!  I love all 3 of these words whether used alone or together!

++++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  I took the 3 Seeley boys to school & then spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.  School got out early again due to the heat- so the boys road the bus here.  We played outside & they helped me pick some corn from the field.  Hopefully I get them all tied together & I'll use them as fall decor on the fence in our yard.

Last night the twins had a football game that we went to.  When it was over with Deke went to Nathan's to help him work on his race car & I made a quick trip to Osky to deposit a hog check & pick up a few groceries.  I came home & burnt the midnight oil again stamping!

I'm off this morning to Manda's.  I'll take the twins to school & spend my day with Trey & Ainslee.  Tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil again stamping!

Gotta run........I hope you have a great Thursday!!
