I love black & white cards.....and this one has a splash of red added to it too!  

I used the 'Music From The Heart' stamp set.  It is on the RETIRING LIST!  I am so bummed....love it!  It is on page 57 in the January- June Mini Catalog.  Be sure you check it out!  It has endless possibilities!

I used my Versmark pad & embossed the words onto the Basic Black card base, using my White Embossing Powder.  And then I used my Versamark Ink Pad & embossed the piano, using my Shimmery Black Embossing Powder!  I love how this makes them so defined!

How did I do it?

 *Crushed Curry- card base= 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 2 1/4 & 7 1/2"

*Whisper White- inside pull up/pocket= 3 1/4 x 7"- score at 3/4 & 5"

*Use your bone folder to fold all scored lines on both pieces of card stock.
*Add 2 Tear & Tape strips along the top 3/4" of the Whisper White card stock.
*Shut the Crushed Curry top fold.
*Use your bone fold to curl (lightly) the Whisper White piece, so that it will slid up & down easier.
*Add 2 strips of Tear & Tape to the bottom sides of the Crushed Curry & shut to make the pocket.
*Slide your Whisper White piece down into this pocket.  

*And it will look like this when done!

How did I diagonally cut the dsp? 
1.  4x4"- put in paper cutter so that the top corner is at the 1" mark & the bottom corner is at the 1" mark- between the cutting blade track.

 2.  Close the cutting bar.

3.  Cut it.

4.  It looks like this!

5.  Adhere the top piece of the DSP to the top half of the So Saffron card stock.
6.  Adhere the bottom piece of the DSP to the bottom half of the So Saffron card stock.

7.  It looks like this!

More Bonazna Buddies!

This card is sooo fun!!  And I used such a cute stamp set- 'Bonanza Buddies', to create it.  I'm sure having fun creating with this Bundle!

Check out this toucan.  He is an image in the Birthday Bonanza DSP!  He is actually going the opposite direction of the die.  So I used an old Stampin' Up! Light Box I had, to help me cut him out.  

Keep scrolling down to find out how I did it!

• I plugged in the Light Box & turned it on.

• I laid the DSP, so that the patterned side was up & & the toucan was on the underneath side.
• I laid the die over the toucan- that I could see through the DSP, because of the light. 
• I used some washi tape to help hold the die in place.  
• I carefully picked up the DSP & die & placed it onto my Magnetic Plaform, on my Big Shot.
• And I cut it out!

•  This is what it looked like after it was cut out.

• And I flipped it over & this is what the toucan looked like.  
• NOTE that he had a hat on.  I cut the top part of the hat off.  Since I stamped a birthday hat to put onto him, it didn't matter that just a little bit of the hat image from the DSP was there.

ALSO:  If you do not have a light box, you can use the sun shinning through a window.  This will work, but it is just harder to get the die lined up this way, since it isn't laying on a flat surface!  But if you don't have a light box- no worries- you can still cut reverse image like this out.  

 Look at the pile of toucan's I cut out......some are facing right & some are facing left!

They they will work either direction when placing them on this card.

Awhh.....I just love this daisy card!!  And honestly, these are not a normal color combination for me!!  But I wanted to use this Garden Lane DSP!  So this is what I decided to create with it!  I am very happy with the way it turned out!!  It is a very pretty card!

NOTE:  The words & the leaf stamp- are both in the 'Painted Harvest' stamp set!  It is awesome that this leaf coordinated with the Leaf Punch!  I love the sunflowers in this 'Painted Harvest' stamp set.  It is on page 128 in the Annual Catalog.  Check it out!!  If you are a stamper that attends my monthly classes- you probably already have this stamp set, as I've used it a lot over the past few years!  I will sure miss it!  And I'm going to really miss the Leaf Punch, as it is an all time favorite & go to punch of mine!  If you don't have either of these.....you might want to get them before they are gone.

This Little Piggy with his Covid-19 Mask!

Awhh......this is totally a Susie card!!  Me & my little piggies!  This is an adorable stamp set that is dear to my heart!  I can't wait for the kids to see this card today.  I know that they will all love it!  As I have a feeling we might be making more of these piggy cards!

So.....I put a little Covid-19 mask on my 'This Little Piggy' card today.  

How did I make the mask?

• It is a TINY piece of white card stock that measures- 3/8" x 5/8"- & I score it every 1/8" on my Simply Scoring Tool.  I then cut 1/8" strips of white card stock for the straps.  
• The mask has a dimensional behind it.  
• The straps are adhered with a glue dot on the end of them & tucked in under the mask (since it is popped up with the dimensional).  
• I bend the ends of the straps to the backside of the pig & then used Tear & Tape to hold those ends down.
• This mask is easy to make!  
• And I think it turned out so cute!

• Early Espresso- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4"- fold in half for card base; 1 1/4" strip- die cut using Stitched Rectangle dies
• Whisper White- 3/8 x 5/8"- score lines every 1/8" to make mask; 1/8" strip (2) for straps; 2 1/2" strip- stamp pig onto this & fussy cut out with Paper Snips; 3 3/4 x 5"- for outside; 3 3/4 x 5"- for inside of card
• Crumb Cake- 3 1/2 x 4 3/4"- emboss using Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder
• Real Red- 1/2" strip- punch out hearts using Dog Builder Punch

Today is Brayden's birthday!  Can you believe that he is 12 years old already!  WOW!!  He will be in the 7th grade (Jr. High) next fall when school starts.  What a great young man he is!  We are so proud of him!  
His birthday card is very similar to my pig card above.  I have his card posted below.  I used the words from the 'Bonanza Buddies' stamp set.  I can't wait for him to see this.  I think he'll love it!  As he has 12 4-H pigs again this year.  They are right behind our house.  And all of the kids are lovin' being with these pigs each day!  Our piggies are pretty tame!  And it is so cute watching the kids spend time with them.
