Chalked leaves.....aren't they stunning!

Here are some beautiful chalked leaves that I did.  This card was one of the 6 cards I created this month for everyone to make that joined me for my October monthly classes.  This was a really fun & easy & card.  It is just stunning in person!
I've made lots of cards using the cool stamp set of various leaves.  And they all are beautiful.....yet different in many ways!  This is a very modern stamp of leaves.  And I do love it!

Did you notice that I didn't chalk the Blackberry Bliss leaf.  I did stamp the leaf image using the Soft Suede ink onto the Blackberry Bliss card stock & cut it out with the framelit.  I should have saved the first one I did where I did use the chalk marker on it.  It just did not look good.....looked it was a mess....thus.....the Blackberry Bliss leaf became a background shadow look instead!

stamp set:  'Lighthearted Leaves'
card stock:  Thick Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Delightful Dijon, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White
ink:  Soft Suede
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Leaflets Framelits, 2" Circle Punch, Woodland Embossing Folder, White Chalk Marker, Gold Cording Trim, Gold Glitter Trim, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Yesterday was a pretty much a carbon copy of our past week.....chores, meetings, boys, stamping & working in the field.  Deke & I both burnt the midnight oil working.  Sarah visited for awhile after work when she picked up Masen & then Brayden, Kimi (his mom) & little brother Jacobi stopped by to visit too.  They brought me a beautiful big rock with a dog paw print on it that says- "always in our hearts" in rememberance of Nestle.  Brayden is going to help me find a spot in our yard to keep it.  Nestle is buried behind our house....but I'm sure Deke doesn't want to mow around the stone, so we'll find a nice place in the front of house in our rock landscaping to put the big rock they brought.

This morning I'm off to pick up the boys & head back out here to our home.  My Aunt Kathy is coming down shortly to stay at our home with Masen.  As we get more baby piggies today....so the 3 Seeley boys will head outside & be little farmers today with Papa & G'ma.  The boys are excited to get to see Joe (our feed salesman) & Josh (our truck driver- which just happens to be my 2nd cousin too).

This afternoon I'm planning a trip to the animal shelter to pick up our new dog!  And I'll be taking the 4 boys with me to meet her.  I pray that the adoption goes through or we are going to have 4 really disappointed little boys & a sad G'ma & Papa too.  The boys have all seen photos of Cocoa & I have my fingers & toes crossed she comes home with us, is a good dog & fits into our family well (which means she likes our cats & piggies too).  She has big shoes to fill following Nestle.....so we all need to be patient in training her & getting her adjusted to her new home.

Tonight is the same old routine again around here.....although Brayden is staying with us all night too.  He is super excited to get to go to the field & ride in the tractor with Papa for awhile.  As Deke will be working again until after midnight.  And I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping!  Woo hoo!

I hope you have a very special Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

A beautiful Poinsettia card!

I wasn't sure that I really liked this poinsettia set when I first saw it in the Holiday Catalog.  But boy.....let me tell you that it is one of my favorite sets now.  I love 2 step stampin' sets & this one is just a perfect fit/layering one.  It is super easy to use & it is just beautiful when you are finished stamping.
This is one of the cards you can make for my upcoming Christmas Card class!!

I created it for Julie's Christmas Card Stack that I did last Saturday.  Check out the shadowed poinsettias stamped in Real Red ink onto the Real Red card stock.
stamp set:  'Reason for the Season'
card stock:  Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
ink:  Basic Black Archival, Real Red, Mossy Meadow
other:  Big Shot, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Circle Framelits, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Gold Sequins, Dimensionals

This layout is an all time 'old' favorite of mine.  And I haven't done it for quite some time.  I have ideas for another card using this layout- so be on the look out for it.
++++++
Our day yesterday was a full one.  My mom enjoyed spending time snuggling with Masen while the other 3 boys & I helped Deke on the farm enjoying/playing with our new baby piggies.  My mom stayed for awhile when we got back to the house & read books to all of the boys.  I so wish I would have gotten a picture of them all.  While she read to them I made a quick trip to town to the post office & got our wedding invites mailed out.

After work- Sarah, Manda, Jen & I went to Sharlene's for wedding dress alterations.  We had a nice time.  It was great to see Sharlene & she is so good at what she does.  I'm thankful for her friendship & talent.  Over the years she has altered many wedding/bridesmaid dresses for me.

When I got home from Sharlene's I spent a few hours working on farm bookwork.  I also made a quick trip to Osky to the night deposit with our hog check & picked up some groceries at Walmart.  One of the benefits of grocery shopping at 11:00 p.m. is that there aren't too many people in the store.  Worst part about it is putting away groceries at 1 in the morning.  And Deke burnt the midnight oil working the field again last night.

This morning Deke is off early to chore, go to the office & then he is headed to Mt. Pleasant for a meeting.  I'm off to pick up the boys & spend my day with them.  Tonight I'll be stamping & Deke will be working in the fields.  Gosh.....kind of a broken record isn't it.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Love this!

Here is a fun photo of my dear friend LeeAnn & I at the Tuscan Theater in St. George, Utah last month!  The camera guy was sitting at the end of our row & hollered at me to look......this is the picture he captured of us.  Oh what fun times & great memories we all had together in Utah.

Look at the My Paper Pumpkin Boxes for this month!! I can't wait for mine to arrive & see what is inside of it!

This weeks- "WEEKLY DEALS"- October 13-19th, 2015!

Nathan & Sarah's wedding invitation!

What have I been doing every spare minute I've had the past week??  I've been making 200 wedding invitations for Nathan & Sarah's upcoming wedding.  And they are FINALLY DONE!

Steven, Amanda, Sarah & Aunt Kathy have all had a little hand in helping me with them in one way or another last week.  But last night I got the belly bands on all of them, they are in their envelopes, the postage stamps & the address labels are on all of them.  And they will all be going to the post office today & to get mailed out!  Woo Hoo!!

My very talented son-in-law Steven, designed the map (inside) & the monogram on the front on the invitation shown here.  He did them in his print shop on the computer.

Sarah's colors are Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla.  And the tables at the reception will have burlap on them- so I embossed the belly band to add texture to them to go with that theme.
I used our new Trio Corner Punch on the outside flap & inside of the invitation to help add some dimension.
So what does 200 wedding invites look like?  Well- there are 100 of them shown here in the box- all ready to do.  And there are 100 of them laying on the table that I still had to finish getting finished & in the envelopes.
++++++
Oh my....we've had a rotten week so far..... as our dear Chocolate Lab Nestle passed away yesterday.  She was between 12-14 years old.  We aren't positive how old she was when we adopted her several years ago.  It was really tough on all of us!  The passed away peacefully in her sleep.  So that is a blessing in itself.  The boys got a quick lesson in death & burying.  The twins weren't really old enough to understand it all.  I'm sure they'll have alot of questions & will still be talking about it today.  Brayden took it really hard.  Nestle was definitely part of our family & she will be greatly missed by all of us.

Thus....my friend Katy found Nestle for us several years ago......and she's been on a hunt to help us find another family dog.  We have a few dogs we are inquiring about at local animal shelters.  I bet we'll have a new dog before the end of the week.  Nestle can't ever be replaced........but we hope to find a new addition to our family to love & enjoy for the next several years.  So I'll share our venture on dog hunting with you in the coming days.

Deke worked late in the fields.  Nathan, Sarah, Brayden & Masen were here for a bit going over wedding things.  And I then burnt the midnight oil & tried to get caught up on a few things in the house after I get the invites all done.

This morning I'm headed to town to pick up the boys.  Deke will be on the farm all day.  We are all excited that we'll be getting new baby piggies today!  My mom is coming to our home this morning to keep Masen for me & the 3 Seeley boys will be going out to farm with G'ma & Papa today.

Tonight Deke will be working the fields late again.  And Sarah, Jenn, Manda & myself are going to get dresses for the wedding altered by my friend Sharlene.  I'll then be burning the midnight oil when I get home working on stamping stuff.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

Deke worked late in the field last night with the tractor & tank.  I rode one round with him & took out his supper.  Then I burnt the midnight oil cutting cardstock for today's classes.  Lorrie & Chris are my hostesses for my 2 classes I have today.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone & getting to stamp again today!!

I'm headed out bright & early this morning......

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!

A sparkly poinsettia!

Here is another poinsettia card.  This is one of my Christmas Card Class options too!  It has lots of sparkle in it with all of the gold.  It is very pretty in person.
stamp set: 'Reason for the Season'
card stock:   Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Gold Foil, Whisper White

Yesterday was a full day with all 4 boys.  Then last night Sarah stamped return addresses on invites & rsvp's, plus put on postage stamps.  And Aunt Kathy & I assembled wedding invites, since I got them all cut last night.  We are gaining on getting them all done.  I burnt the midnight oil again working on them last night.  I'll hopefully get them finished up on Friday night so that they go out in the mail on Saturday.

I'm off early this morning to pick up the boys.  Both Manda & Nathan have early meetings today.  Deke is home today & will be putting back together nursery's- as we are gearing up for our new baby piggies to arrive.  I am hoping maybe Papa will take the twins with him for a couple of hours sometime today, as that would only leave me with the 2 little boys.  Brayden is going home with Aunt Kathy so he can ride in the combine with Uncle Jerry after school today.  So I'll see him later tonight.

My UPS man arrives about 4:00 pm for deliveries & today he'll be bringing some card stock & ribbons that I need to hurry & get cut & folded for tonight's class.  As tonight is my monthly Stampin' Night here at our home.  I have a house full of friends coming to stamp with me!  Everyone will be making 6 cards.  So today is going to be another super busy day!!  And I pray that I can get everything done.

Gotta run....
I hope you have a special Thursday!!

A snowflake card!

This is another one of the cards for my upcoming Christmas card class.  So what do you think?  Isn't it pretty!  This is a totally me card.....love the colors & snowflakes are a favorite of mine too!  And whenever I can use a punch with something....that is a huge plus too!

Check out the little gold sequins I used inside the snowflakes.  I did this so that the card was flatter & you wouldn't have to spend an extra 22 cents to mail it.  I used the new fine tip glue pen to attach them.

stamp set:  'Flurry of Wishes'
card stock:  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
ink:  Soft Suede
other:  Gold Sequins, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Snow Flurry Punch

I was just beat last night!!!  We had a fun day together yesterday.  Brayden didn't have school, so his Papa Mark brought him out to our home right after lunch  The boys played outside all afternoon & I sat on the porch & watched/listened to them while I placed some orders.  My wireless internet worked as long as I didn't go father than the porch.   It was a beautiful day out & we all enjoyed it!

Last night Manda helped me figure out the printing for Nathan & Sarah's wedding invites.  And I got the invite itself designed too.  I ran into Nathan & Sarah's house to show them the invite & get their approval on it.  Now I need to find time to get them all printed, cut & stuck together so that we can get them mailed out soon.

This morning I'm headed in to pick up the boys.   After Brayden gets dropped off at school I'll be headed back out here to the farm with all 4 boys- Brody, Drake, Trey & Masen..  Deke is home all day working on the farm.  He has 3 buildings to get power washed this week.  We are trying to get everything done & ready for new baby piggies that arrive next Tuesday & Thursday.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!

Yesterday I had another fun day of stamping with lots of friends again.  Some of them stamped with me on both Saturday at my Halloween Treats class & Sunday at my October Card Class.  Woo Hoo!  It was great to see everyone & share.

I got to stop & visit my dear friend Judy on my home from my class last night.  I enjoyed our chat!!  It was great to see her!  We made her a set of cards from our class & I gave them to her.  Her favorite card was the reindeer one......I'll post it for you to see tomorrow, so be sure to stop back by & check it out.

Nathan made some Lasanga Soup & brought it out to us for supper, so I just had to warm it up, make a salad & some garlic bread to go with it & our supper was done!  (I trained him well didn't I!)

I spent my night entering orders & answering emails- catching up!

I still have tables/chairs & stamps everywhere from my Halloween Treats class.....so I got up early this morning to work on at least getting the family room all back to normal before I got get the boys & bring them out here.

Deke is off to chore & then he is headed to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off soon to pick up the Seeley boys.  We have some errands to run this morning & I hope to make it to What Cheer to the bank too.  The boys will be excited to get to play in the park while we are over there.

Tonight Deke has a meeting in Fairfield.  And I will be working on wedding invites.  I have an idea for them & Steve & Manda have been working on the font/wording for them.....so I hope it all just clicks & works out as we have envisioned.  The card stock & supplies arrived on Friday!  We are using Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla card stock.  Once Sarah approves them- I'm planning on cutting & putting them together tomorrow night.

I'll be burning the midnight oil tonight placing orders from my weekends classes & catching up on some farm bookwork too.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!

Season to Season Wreath Kit

Here is my Halloween swag I made & put on my Season to Season Wreath.   This is a kit & all of the supplies come in this kit (except the stamp set & ink pads are add ons).  There are pre-cut images for you to stamp on, twine for your swap, ribbon for your hanger, foam wreath & pre-cut leaves too, plus more.  There are also leaves for Fall/Thanksgiving & trees for the Christmas swags.
It is cute & was lots of fun to make.  Now I'll be able to trade out the different swags & ribbons for the other upcoming holidays.

Yesterday was a long day!!  It was full of lots of stamping!!  I enjoyed my day with everyone that joined me for my Halloween Treats class.  As soon as everyone left I headed off to the races.  Nathan started 12th & finished about there too.  The track was pretty much a follow the leader one.  At least there were no wrecks all night & nothing got torn up, so I guess that is a plus.  It was late when we got home.

My night was a short one, as I was up really early this morning to finish cutting card stock & getting all packed up.  Today is my monthly class in N. Liberty & Denise is our hostess this month.  So I'm loading the car & heading out soon.  We have a big group coming today to stamp!  I can't wait to see everyone & share.  I have 6 super cute cards created for everyone to make.

Tonight when I get home I'll be cleaning up the tables/chairs & things from yesterdays class- so I'll have our house back in order & ready for my boys coming tomorrow morning.

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!!

'All Ye Faithful'

I made this card with some of the left over pieces laying on my counter, after I was done creating Christmas cards for my annual Christmas Card Class on Wednesday night.

I really like this stamp set- 'All Ye Faithful'.  It is beautiful!  It is just a very modern, yet stylish- just an elegant stamp set.
If you look closely here, you can see the new Boughs & Berries Embossing Folder that I used around the outside edges of this card.   It too is pretty cool!!

card stock:  Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Gold Foil
ink:  Early Espresso
other:  Big Shot, Boughs & Berries Embossing Folder, Circle Framelits, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Dimensionals

Last night was a late night on the farm helping Deke.  When I got in I started stamping!  I burnt the midnight oil & got all of my cards created for this months classes before I went to bed!  I had great mojo last night & I'm thankfully everything clicked.  Now to get everything all cut for them.   I will get pictures taken of them & get them posted here on my blog sometime in the next few days so that you can see them!  I look forward to sharing with everyone joining me this month to stamp!

This morning I'll head out early to Nathan & Sarah's home to get their boys.   Sarah has to be at work early everyday & Nathan has an early meeting again today too.  Their boys & I will then go to Manda's & get the 3 Seeley boys.  We'll all take Brayden to school & then the 4 boys & I will head back out to our home on the farm for the day.

Tonight is the first night of the Southern Iowa Fall Challenge Races.  I am still up in the air whether I will have enough done to feel like I can go with my family or not.  Whether I go or not I pray that Nathan has good luck!

Gotta run.....I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!

Here are the cards for my upcoming Christmas Card Class!

WOW!  I burnt the midnight oil last night creating these cards for my upcoming Christmas Card Class.  This big annual class is a favorite of many- including me.  It is a fun day of visiting, listening to Christmas music & creating together!

I tried really hard this year to make my Christmas cards clean & simple......as I didn't want to have them be bulky & have additional postage have to be paid for the mailing of them.

I think they all urned out cute!  What do you think?  Which one is your favorite one?  Which one are you going to be making this year for your Christmas card?

Deke was a very good critic for me last night.....as I asked him lots of questions on what do you think honey?  This one or that one?  This color or that color?  This direction or that direction?  Etc, Etc, Etc.  Bless him- he is awesome!!

I am not sure which one of them is my favorite one.  It is actually probably the Soft Suede & Crumb Cake snowflake one.  I am a huge snowflake lover.....and this one is in non traditional colors, as I love all shades of brown.  But I really like the Nativity one in the grays & vellum too.  And then of course the Mossy Meadow Pine Tree one is one of the cards everyone made at my September classes.  It was a big hit at my classes & I've had a few requests that some wanted to make that for their Christmas cards this year.  So I granted their wish & it made it easier for me too not having to create another card too.

Brayden's last FB game of the year was fun!  There were tons of people there & there were 3 FB games going on all at one time.  They played on the high school football field!

This morning I'm off to pick up all of the boys & spend my day with them.  Tonight I'm a farmer again helping Deke.  And then I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping again!!

I hope you have a very special Thursday!
Happy Stamping!

A witches broom!

Here is a little witches broom I made as an alternative project with pieces in my September My Paper Pumpkin kit!  Isn't is cute!
And I added washi tape around the top of it &I made a cute little witches hat too!

+++++
Last night was another late night burning the midnight oil stamping.  I am bummed....as there is no way I'm going to be able to go to the races this weekend.  I just have too much to do to get ready yet for my upcoming classes.  I'm going to try really hard to be able to get to go at least one night.....but right now that doesn't look too promising.

This morning I'm off early again to pick up the boys- Brody, Drake, Trey & Masen.  Deke is up early to chore & he is in the office/meetings at the Courthouse today.
Brayden has his last football game at 6:00 tonight- so we can't miss that.  As soon as we get home from it we are headed outside to work on the farm.  I'll be a farmer tonight & tomorrow night, helping Deke move & sell piggies.  I'll burn the midnight oil stamping again when I get in.
On top of everything else we have going on- we are trying to get things all cleaned & ready for new baby piggies to arrive next week on Tuesday & Thursday.  Thankfully Deke doesn't have too many meetings this week- but next week he is swamped again with them.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!

This weeks- "WEEKLY DEALS"- Sept 29- Oct 5, 2015!!

A clean & simple card I made when in Kanab for Founder Circle!

This is a really sweet card that we made at Kanab at our Stampin' Up! Office when I was in Utah a couple of weeks ago for Founders Circle.  Isn't is pretty!  It is a very clean & simple card.

Be sure you look closely at the base of this card.  We used the cool Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Paper on pg. 142.  It is Tip Top Taupe colored, but has an embossed (raised) woodgrain texture on it.  I never would have thought to stamp directly onto it & use it as a card base.  But let me tell you that it was easy to do & is a real wow to look at in person.

We also used the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Paper with the Envelope Liner Thinlit & put it inside the envelope laying here so that they coordinated with the card.

stamp set:  'Watercolor Words'
card stock:  Very Vanilla
designer paper:  Color Me Irresistible Specialty
ink:  Night of Navy
other:  Big Shot, Envelope Liner, Medium Very Vanilla Envelope, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Linen Thread, Banner Triple Punch, Classy Designer button

We had a busy day yesterday......and enjoyed the beautiful weather outside.  Our son-in-law Steven got a new aircraft yesterday.  So last night he tried it out by flying it around on our farm.  If you'd like to check his video & see our farm/house- it is very cool!

Sarah started back to work yesterday.  So I made 3 pans of Taco Pie last night & sent home with all of our kids for them to bake & have for supper.  I told Sarah I'd send supper home with them all week to try to help her out.  I remember how hard it was to go back to work after having a new baby.  We are blessed that Masen gets to stay with his G'ma Julie on Mondays & then he'll be here with us the rest of the week.

Last night I burnt the midnight oil working on projects for upcoming classes.  I have LOTS of stamping to get done this week!  I have 3 classes coming up this weekend.  I pray I get it all done! As this weekend is also the Southern Iowa Speedway Fall Challenge.  We'll be racing on Friday & Saturday nights.  This has been a huge family favorite event for us for years & years.....and there isn't any way I an miss out on going with my family.

This morning I'm off early to go to Nathan & Sarah's to pick up Masen & Brayden.  We'll then head to Manda & Steven's home to get their 3 boys, take Brayden to school & then head back out to our farm.  Nathan & Amanda both have early meetings today & tomorrow.

Tonight after the boys all leave I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping again!

I hope you have  TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Gosh....I've been going 100 mph since my planed landed late last Sunday night!  This coming week is going to be a really busy one too!!

Yesterday Sarah's bridal shower was very nice!  It was a perfect day spent with family & friends.  It was at the Wagon Wheel Winery by Keota, and let me tell you that this is a gorgeous place & they had a few yummy wines too!  The day was enjoyed by all!!  After the shower we went to Deke's parents home for a bit.  My sister-in-law Darci, Aunt Kay, cousin Mary & Aunt Kathy stopped by to visit so that they could all see Masen & the other 4 boys too- Brayden, Brody, Drake & Trey.  Last night I burnt the midnight oil trying to catch up on bookwork for the farm & orders too.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & he'll then ben heading to his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to pick up the boys.  We'll all take Brayden to school & then head back out to our home.  Brayden will ride the bus here after school too.  When everyone leaves..... I am planning on being home all night working on upcoming class projects for this week/weekend.  So I pray that I have good mojo.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!

This is one of my "Halloween Treats" boxes.  It is made with the Curvy Keepsakes Box Thinlits.
I LOVE IT!!!  It is just absolutely adorable!

stamp sets:  'Sparkly Seasons' & 'Chalk Lines'
card stock:  'Tangelo Twist, Black Glimmer Paper

This is one of the cool projects I made in St. George last week when I attended a stamp class at Susan's home.  I think that Janet designed this awesome little witch hat for the pumpkin.  I so enjoyed going to their class & getting to make 4 super cute projects!

I'm headed to Cedar Rapids here soon for my Halloween Treats class.  I've been a stamping fool this week getting ready for it.  This morning several gals will be joining me for a "KITS" class to make either the Witches Hat (which is now sold out) or the Season to Season Wreath.  Then this afternoon some more gals will be joining us & everyone will be make LOTS of Halloween treat boxes, a cute card & a 8 x 8 (or 12x12) framed Halloween sampler.

My Aunt Kathy is riding up with me & stamping today too!  So it will be nice to have some company in the car.

I'm off to take a quick nap & then get up, shower, load the car & off I go!

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!

A Halloween Treat bag!

At convention in July a treat bag like this was shared on main stage by Stampin' Up during an on stage presentation!  I thought it was super cute!  And loved the way the polka dots popped out when ink was rubbed over them.  Doesn't this bag remind you of candy corn?  It sure does me.

This bag is one of the many projects that everyone joining me at my upcoming Halloween Treats classes the next 2 Saturday's will be making.
Check out the ribbon handles I added to my bag.  I think this bag is just the perfect size for many different items to fit inside of it.  What trick-or-treater (or co-worker) wouldn't like to have gotten this from you?

stamp set: 'Howl-o-ween Treat'
card stock:  Whisper White
ink:  Basic Black Archival, Pumpkin Pie & Daffodil Delight
other:  Spider Web Doily, Big Shot, Boo to You Framelits, Stapler, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Sketched Dots Tags & Bag Gift Bags, Stampin' Sponges

This Sketched Dots Tags & Bag Gift Bags are on pg. 151- #138316- $4.00 for 10 bags.

It was a late night on the farm.  Brayden & Nathan were here for awhile in the shop.  I came in right after we were done loading hogs (a couple of hours before Deke did).  He statyed out & moved pigs & rinsed out pens in the old finisher.  It was right at midnight when he finally walked in the door.  Nothing like making tacos for supper at that time of night.  I worked on sorting orders & making projects for my Halloween Treats class last night.

Deke is finally home all day today with no meetings, so he'll be working on the farm.  The boys will be excited he'll be here to eat lunch with us, as we've missed him.  He has lots to catch up on outside. He is going to move piggies from the nursery to the old finisher this morning if all goes as planned.  And spend the afternoon grinding feed & mowing.  I'm off this morning to pick up the boys & spend my day with them.  Then tonight everyone in our family is going racing in Memphis, Missouri (which is my very favorite track to go to).  And I'll be home alone cutting & cooking- getting ready for tomorrow big Halloween Treats class.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

A 'Wonderland'!

Here is a very pretty card that everyone stamping at my September classes this month got to make.  It has a vellum over lay on top of the stamped tree images.  It is just stunning in person.

How did I attach the vellum card stock here?

I just used glue dots on all 4 corners of the vevllum.  If you touch the vellum directly to the strip of glue dots & can leave the glue dot as the circle & flat (as they come) they show less on the adhesive when you go to press it down.  The vellum overlay is the exact same size at the Whisper White card stock above it.

But attaching our new vellum DSP is another story.....it is thinner & no matter how I've tried attaching it- the ahdesive shows.  So you'd need to hide this if possible- like I did on the ORNAMENT CARD I post a few days ago- I put mini brads over the glue dots to help hide them.

stamp set:  'Wonderland' & 'Wetland' (words)
card stock:  Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Vellum
ink:  Mossy Meadow
other:  Big Shot, Softly Falling Snow Embossing Folder, Extra Large Oval Punch, Satin Crumb Cake ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

It is a fun fold door card too!  Isn't it just beautiful!!
++++++
It was a long day & a very late night last night.  I got groceries after the races & then had to put everything away when I got home.  I am just swamped & can't keep up!  I was behind before I left for Founders last week & now I am buried with piles & piles of work.  I have too many jobs.  And just because I wasn't here didn't mean that things just stopped & waited for me- nope they just kept piling up.

I got some of my farm bookwork done late last night before I went to bed, and the rest of it will have to wait until next week.  I finally got caught up on all of our laundry from the past week & half of it is now put away.....the rest of it is folded & laying on the couch, waiting for me to get to it.  And I literally have stamps all over our house!  The UPS man has delivered lots of boxes this week that I need to get opened, sorted & delivered.  Plus I have project boxes from this months classes that still need to be all put away.  And I have projects for my upcoming classes that need to be created & cut.  Oh yeah.....and our wedding invites need to be created & cut & mailed out as soon as possible too.

We are up early again today....Deke is off to chore & then he is gone again today for meetings in Ottumwa.  I am off to pick up the boys.  When they leave tonight I'll be headed out the door, as tonight I am a farmer....so it will be another late night working outside.  And somehow I have to get lots of stuff cut & things ready for my upcoming Halloween Treats Class.

Gotta run.....I hope you have a very special Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!
