'Hey Chick'- I love it!

OH my gosh....my grandparents raised chickens & I have very fond memories of lots of time that I spent growing up on their farm.  Gathering eggs, butchering chickens, milking cows, feeding pigs, working in the garden, canning vegetables, pasteurizing milk, weeding flowers, etc.

So......when I saw this stamp set- 'Grandma' is one of the first things that came to my mind.  This stamp set is super cute!  The chickens in it are so fun.  The one with the wild hair looks like he is a wild & crazy one that likes to party!  I'll have to find time to make a card using him sometime soon!
This is one of the cards everyone at my monthly classes made last week when they came to stamp with me!

Here is a TIP for getting a more true RED color with the Watercolor Pencils.  I think that that the red pencil has an orange tint to it.  So when I used the Red Colored Pencils & Real Red card stock together I combine the Real Red Colored Pencil & the Melon Mambo Colored Pencils together!

Here are the supplies & the measurements for this card.

How did I make the chicken wire image?
  • I inked the top/inside lid (that has the words on it) of the Hexagon Embossing Folder with the Memento ink.
  • I then laid the Crumb Cake card stock in the embossing folder.
  • I shut the embossing folder & firmly pressed down all over the whole outside surface of the embossing folder- pressing the ink for the folder onto the card stock.
  • I opened up the embossing folder & removed the chicken wire image card stock piece.

Yesterday was a fun day with the boys!  Last night Deke, Masen & I went to Deke's parents & took supper to them.  Masen stayed all night with us.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for the morning.  Masen & I are off to pick up the Seeley boys!  I'll get the twins ready & take them to pre-school for the day.  Trey, Masen & I will head back to our home.

Tonight I'm a farmer & will be helping Deke with the piggies!  I will be working on stamping stuff when we get in.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs-
SUSIE
