Yesterday was a bitter sweet day as the Wood family was all together- except for us all missing Dan....which was so hard.  His Celebration of Life was very nice- the service, the luncheon & then our time together on the farm afterwards.  There were lots of fond memories shared throughout the day.  And the little kids all made some new fond memories together riding gators, crafting, fishing, playing in the bubble machine & playing in the puddles of water after the rain.

Today we will just hang out on the farm with family again........enjoying our time with our family that is here from Pennsylvania, before they have to go back to their homes.

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!
Happy Stamping!

Thursday night we went to Deke's brother Dan's Celebration of Life Service, at their church in Decatur, Illinois.  It was a beautiful tribute to him!  It was very sad, yet very comforting.  My sister-in-law Sheryl is an amazing person & she did an awesome job with sharing about Dan & their life.  He was such a great guy & he is greatly missed.

We have enjoyed our time spent with Deke's family the past couple of days.  Thursday night we all stayed in the same hotel & many of us stayed up late visiting.  We had breakfast together yesterday (Friday) morning & then all headed out on our drives back to Iowa.

Last night Deke & I went to Brayden's ball game.  His team won!  Manda, Steve, their 3 boys, Aunt Kathy, Sarah, Nathan, Masen, Sarah's parents & Brayden's Papa Mark were all there too.

After the game , Deke & I ran over to the What Cheer cemetery & cut down some little trees growing in the ditch.  We came home, ate a late supper, got some things done around the house & finally called it a night.  We were both beat!

This morning we are up early.  Deke is off to chore & I'm going to do some cooking.  We'll then head out the door, as this morning we're having another Celebration of Life for Dan, here in Sigourney at the church.  And we'll spend the rest of our day/evening with The Wood family!!

I hope you have a SPECIAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a busy day!!  The twins graduated from Pre-School!  It was a really nice ceremony.  Their teacher did a great job!  The boys did a good job too!  And I can NOT believe that they have grown up so fast.  So much in my life changed when they were born.....and how blessed I am that I got to spend this time with them the past 5 1/2 years!  We had planned to have a picnic & play in the park, but it was cold & rainy- so hopefully the weather is good next week & we can do this to celebrate.

I made them some cute graduation cards.....so will share them sometime next week, as I need to get a picture of them.

A beautiful lattice card, using the Succulents!

This is one of the cards everyone made at my May monthly classes.  It is a lattice fold & I just love how cool they look!!  I just think this is a stunning card!

When I first started stamping 17 years ago- this is one of the first fun folds that I learned to do.  I still have the pattern on how to make it & that is the same pattern I used at my classes too!

Check it out- I like adding the little strip of cardstock on the inside of the fold, so that is shows through & adds extra color to the card!

Here are some other cards I've posted doing this fun fold!  Be sure to click on them & check them out!
And yes- I used the 'Oh So Succulent' stamp set again, along with the coordinating framelits!  These are both just awesome!  And I'm so sad that they are both RETIRING!  They are just so versatile!!

We had a busy & long day yesterday!!  I was totally shocked & amazed at all of the thousands of people that came to walk in the JDFR in Des Moines yesterday morning.  It was a beautiful day!  We were getting hot & tired by the end of it though.  We stopped to eat lunch together on the way home in Pella.

Here is a picture of us at the end of our walk!
Deke drove to Osky & left his car on our way to Des Moines, so he came right home to work on the farm & I got groceries & a few things.

I came home, put groceries away & planted a few of my flowers.  We then all headed to Bloomfield to race!  Nathan won his heat & got 5th place in the main- he started 9th & it was just one groove with no where to pass.  It was late when we got home.

This morning I'm up early & will spend my morning in the kitchen cooking!  We are having lunch at Deke's moms & I'm doing the ham balls & grapenut muffins.  We'll eat with his family & then I plan to spend my afternoon/evening- planting flowers & stamping!!  The guys are going to Vinton racing.

Yesterday was a busy day!  The 2 little boys & I went to H&M & bought some flowers.  We were outside almost all morning.  We planted flowers for Sarah & Deke's mom for Mother' Day gifts.  I now need to find time to go buy more flowers for myself, Manda & my mom & get them planted.

After school all of the boys were here for just a little bit together & they had fun playing together outside!!  Uncle Steve was pitching balls to Brayden & he was hitting them!

We then had ball practice & races too.  Nathan won his heat & got 2nd in the main!  I didn't end up making it to the races, as ball practice lasted longer than we thought it would.  So I came home & worked in the yard again until dark.

Today is a special day.....as this morning all of our family is up early & doing something that is very dear to our hearts!  We are headed to Des Moines for us to do the JDRF Walk for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  We have several family members that are Type 1 diabetics.  Our grandson Brayden; our nephews- Matt & John; Sarah's mom; Sarah's boss & my cousins- Karen & John.  So we are walking together as Team 52 for this great cause.

Here are the family members walking today- me, Deke, Sarah, Nathan, Brayden, Masen, Manda, Steve, Brody, Drake, Trey; Deke's sister Darci; our nephew Josh & his family- Kacie, Collyn's, Coleson; Sarah's parents- Doug, Julie & Sarah's boss.
