Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all great guys out there!  I hope it is a great day for all celebrating this special day!

I made a few different options & then they are all super cute!
Here is another one- again using the same pieces, just laid out a little differently!
And check out this 3rd option too!  They would all work!  This is just a great guy stamp set!

Which one is your favorite image from this stamp set?

Yesterday was a busy day.....I finally took time to squeeze in a hair cut.  And then I spent the rest of the day stamping!

Last night Deke I ran out for a quick supper.  We had hoped to get to Menards, but it was raining too hard- so we'll get there sometime this week yet.  We need to get some stuff to make a dog kennel for Cocoa.

Today is a very sad day.......not only is it my dad's 77th birthday.  It is also the 12th Anniversary of his passing.  Yep- 12 years ago today on Father's Day we found him dead.  It was a nightmare of a day that I'll never forget.  I miss him so much & not a day goes by that I don't think of him & wish he was still here with us.

This will also be the first Father's Day that we will have since the passing of my step-dad Dick.  We miss him too!  He was also a great guy!

But I have to also think of the positive & remember the great guys I still have in my life that we will be celebrating today- Deke, Nathan, Steve & Deke's step-dad & my uncles- Jerry, Joe & Larry; plus several nephews & some brother-in-laws!

We are up early this morning.....I am hoping to get some more stamping done while Deke chores.  We are then headed to Des Moines to spend the day at Adventureland with our family!  Nathan, Sarah & family; Manda, Steve & boys; our nephews- Josh (Kacie) & Matt (Cheryl) & their families; Deke's sister (Darci); & Deke's brother (Doug) & girlfriend Chris will all be there!  It should be a fun family day with this big crew from the Wood Family!!  The kids are super excited!  We'll have lots of laughs & I'm sure we'll make lots of great memories!

We had quite a thunder storm (rain) last night, but today the weather is to be beautiful!

So I hope you have a very special day!!
ENJOY!!!!
Happy Stamping!

Little Truck!

This is the little truck that Drake & I made earlier this week for Trey's birthday!  Drake is my stamper!  He loves to stamp & stamps almost every day that he is here.

Isn't this truck just so cute!!  I love 3D items & this bundle is just adorable!  There are endless possibilities when creating with it.  This truck is pretty clean & simple.....Drake cut it out, glued it together with glue dots & fussy cut the wheels, windows & balloons.  I think he did a great job!

This truck from the Ride with Me Bundle- stamp set & dies!  They are on page 55 in the Annual Catalog. Check them out!
Look how we stamped the balloons, fussy cut them out & wrote Trey's name on them!

In this bundle there are a Christmas tree & pumpkins too, that can be stamped (& die cut if you want)- to put into the back of the truck.  Or you could put candy, make boxes, gifts, or many other things in the back of the truck.

Yesterday morning we were up early to sell hogs.  I then went to town & I ran some errands.  I then spent my day withe Brayden, Masen & Ainslee.  Brayden & I worked with his 4-H pigs & cleaned out his show box.  The Keokuk County Fair is a little over a month away.   So Brayden has been slopping his pigs.....as we want that rate of gain to be good.  His pigs were minimum weight when he weighed them in March- so hopefully then end up gaining good.

Last night we went to watch the twins play baseball.  They did good.  It was chilly!  Who would have thought we'd have been wearing sweatshirts & had blankets at baseball games in the middle of June!

This morning I'm up early to go get my hair cut!  I'll then spend the rest of my day stamping & helping Deke do some things outside on the farm.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!!
Happy Stamping!

Trey is 5 years old!

Last night we had Trey's 5th birthday party with lots of family joining us!  There were about 30 of us!  The weather was nice & we enjoyed a great evening together on the Seeley's backyard patio.  We had walking tacos, watermelon & yummy cupcakes that my friend Cherie made!

Trey's birthday theme was super hero's.  So here is Captain America's shield- which is a 'quicky' card I whipped up right before we headed out the door.  He liked it!  So that was good!  I thought it turned out cute!!
Here are the products that I used-
  • The words- from the 'Perennial Birthday' stamp set & it is still currently available!
  • The star- retired punch.
  • The circles- 1 1/2" Circle Punch & then the next 2 are from the Layering Circle Dies & then the biggest one is from a bowl out of my kitchen cupboard that I traced around & fussy cut out with my Paper Snips.
  • The DSP- is retired.

Yesterday was a busy day with 4 of the kids.  It was nice & we were outside for part of the morning & awhile in the afternoon too.  The 3 little ones took pretty good naps & Drake got to play games on the ipad, while I browned meat for our birthday party supper.  Brody spent the day with his mom, helping her pick up the cupcakes, clean & get ready for Trey's birthday party!

We sold hogs last night after Trey's party.  The semi got here 9:30 p.m.  So it is a short night for us, as we are up early at 5 this morning & headed back out to mark, sort & load hogs again.
I'll then spend my day with the 3 Wood kids.  And tonight Deke & I are going with the Wood family to Memphis, Missouri racing.  The Seeley boys have a baseball game & I hate to miss it, but we'll go to one of their games next week.
Gotta run.
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  We played outside & I finally got my 4 pots of flowers planted.  Last night we all went to the races. It was Trey's birthday, so we had cake afterwards in the pits!!  Nathan won his heat & got 3rd in the main.  It was late when we got home.

This morning we are up early & on the go.  I'll spend my day with the kids & try to help Manda out in getting some things ready for Trey's birthday party they are having tonight.  We'll go to Trey's party & then hurry home to sell hogs tonight at 9:30 p.m.  It will be a short night, as we sell hogs again early in the morning too.

Yesterday I spent my day with Brayden, Masen & Ainslee.  I didn't think Brayden was going to be here, as he was going to 4-H Camp.  He went to camp, but not until 6:00 last night.  So he was here to work with his 4-H pigs & help Papa on the farm again today.  He loves being a farmer!

Last night we all went to Brody & Drake's baseball game.  My mom & Deke's parents went too.  We then all went uptown for supper afterwards, sat around the fountain at the courthouse & got some ice cream!

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for most of the morning.  He'll then head to Mt. Pleasant for a meeting.  I'll spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.

Today is Trey's birthday!!  Can you believe he is if 5 years old already!  Wow- where does time go?  We'll celebrate his birthday tonight at the races together- cheering on "Uncle" Nathan!  We'll have his birthday party tomorrow night at their home & celebrate then.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!

DSP samplers!

Ok- check them out!  Here are 9 different Designer Paper Samplers that I made.  I'll be taking these to my classes, so that everyone can actually see what each DSP pack looks like & they will also be able to see which card stock colors coordinate with them too!

I also had pieces for these all cut & ready for my downline team to finish assembling a set of them, when I had my team meeting a couple of weeks ago.  It was fun listening to them assembling them & talking about which ones were their favorites & why they liked them, etc.

There are a few more pkgs of NEW DSP that I haven't gotten yet.....so hopefully I'll find time to make a sampler for each of them (like these) when I get them too!
NEW 2019-2021 In Colors
Bird Ballard DSP
Mangolia Lane DSP
Come Sail Away DSP
Woven Threads DSP
Garden Lane DSP
Follow Your Art DSP
Perennial Essence DSP
Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP

So let me know which DSP sampler shown above is your favorite?????
Humm- which ones is mine?  That is honestly a hard question & one that I can't answer.  I really love several of them.  And the more I get to create with them, the more some of them have changed my mind!
+++++++++
Oh my gosh.....what a Monday!  It was crazy!!!  I know I was beat when I went to bed last night.

All 6 kids were here......and sometimes they get along perfectly & sometimes we have some conflicts.  Our day started out with some arguing & so I split them up, had them do certain projects, etc......and our day went much better!

While the 3 little ones were to be napping, Drake & I stamped!  We created a super cut little truck from the NEW 'Ride with Me' Bundle.  We put balloons in the back of it & spelled out Trey's name too!  I'll hopefully get some pictures of it downloaded in the next few days to share with you!  While Drake & I stamped, Brayden & Brody cleaned out the 4-H pig pen & Grandpa helped haul it away for them with the skid loader.

Last night Manda & Steve got home, so the 3 Seeley boys got to sleep in their own beds last night.  Brayden played baseball, so Deke & I went to watch him.  His team lost.  They just weren't clicking together....and I felt bad for them.  They started out really bad & ended up looking much better as the game went on.  My mom & aunt Virginia were there too, so that was good to get to see them & visit some.

Today I just have Masen & Ainslee.  I hope to get my flowers planted (that I bought before Memorial Day) & work outside some too & the kids can play!  Tonight we'll go to watch Brody & Drake play baseball!

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

This weekend was a whirl wind.......4 stamp classes, kids, cutting.....and I was just exhausted last night.  We are gearing up for another busy week around here!

I had a great group of ladies stamping with me yesterday & they all went home with 6 pretty cards that they got to create!!  I hope they all had a great day together making their cards!!  Rita & Peggy were super hostesses.  They did a tropical theme with decorations on their food table & yummy treats that coordinated with that theme too.  (So cool!)  And they (along with Ruth) were great in getting everything picked up, packed up & ready for me to load up after the classes!!  They knew I needed to hurry home to meet Deke & take his vehicle to town to pick up the 3 Seeley boys from their other grandparents.  We got a Casey's pizza & soft serve ice cream cones for our supper.  And then we watched a movie together.  We were all tired!  As it had been a crazy busy past week/weekend around here!

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.  The 3 boys are sleeping in & I'm trying to be quiet & catch up on emails & things at the moment, before the other 3 kids get here.  We are going to have a craft day together after bit- so I'll share more sometime this week on our project(s)!  And then hopefully we'll get to enjoy the sunshine & play outside alot today too.  Tonight Brayden has baseball game that we'll all go to together too!  So we have another jam packed day ahead of us!

Gotta run......
I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!

Yesterday was another jam packed day full of stamping, as I had 2 stamp classes! (And Ainslee).  I had a house full that stamped with me in the morning & then a few friends also came for my afternoon class.  It was a great day of visiting, stamping & sharing!!!  Last night Nathan, Deke, Brayden & Masen went racing, so Ainslee spent the night with Grandma.  I burnt the midnight oil cutting cardstock & finishing things up for today's 2 stamp classes!  I'm headed out soon for Cedar Rapids.  I have a morning stamp class & an afternoon stamp class!  I look forward to seeing everyone & sharing!!  Rita & Peggy are my 2 hostesses!  I'm sure it will be a great day!  I can't wait!

'Floral Essence'

The Rococo Rose NEW In Color is so pretty!  And I just love the NEW In Color DSP.  It has 4 different designs......but yep- the gingham is my favorite!

This is one of the cards that everyone stamping with me at my class last Sunday made!

My card was inspired by an idea that my dear demonstrator friend, LeeAnn Greff shared with me!  She lives in Minot, ND.  We became friends years ago when we met at a Stampin' Up! Founders Circle event.  We stamp & talk together almost every day by text messaging.  She also was a Million Dollar Achiever & we got to celebrate our achievements together in Minneapolis in April!  You can see my posts on that celebration with her, by CLICKING HERE!  We get to see each other again in July at our yearly SU! trip & I can't wait to see her & all of my SU demo friends then!

Yesterday was a busy day with all 6 kids.  We played outside most of the morning.  The twins had a baseball game last night, so Deke & I took them to their game.  They did a good job with hits & getting on base.  Their whole team has improved alot since the beginning of the year.  After the game the boys went home with their other grandparents.  Deke & I came home & I burnt the midnight oil cutting card stock, as I have 4 stamp classes this weekend.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone joining me!!!

Nathan, Sarah & the kids went to Columbus Junction last night racing.  Nathan won his heat & he won the main too.  I am sad that Deke & I weren't there......but so happy that he won.  Maybe he is finally getting this car figured out a little better.   Their big smiles say it all!

'Good Morning Magnoilia'

This is an awesome bundle!!!  This bundle is jam packed full with LOTS of great coordinating products- big & small flower images, several words (I love the font), cool coordinating dies, beautiful designer paper, pretty ribbon & twine, a neat embossing folder, cork embellishments & Memories & More pack!  WOW!!!!!!!

I first saw this bundle when I was at Stampin' Up! On Stage in Minneapolis in April.  I can honestly say it wasn't my favorite bundle out of the ones that they showed us.  But I had alot of my Iowa Inkers team with me & many of them my team loved it!  I told them that they were going to make me like it!  And honestly.....the more I play with it & use it, the more I love it!!  There are tons of ideas using it that I've seen & they are all just gorgeous!

Yesterday was a busy day!  We were on the go all day long!  The 3 big boys are done with this weeks basketball camp now.  So we won't be going back & forth to town today.
Last night the 3 Seeley boys stayed all night with Uncle Nathan & Aunt Sarah, as we sell hogs early this morning, so I needed them to help out with the boys.  Last night I worked on catching up on my farm bookwork & then cutting card stock.  Deke worked outside on the farm catching up & he finally called it a night & came in about 10:00, for a late supper!
So we had a short night & are up at 5 this morning & headed outside.  We'll mark, sort & load hogs.  The trucker pulled in here last night about 10:00 & slept in his truck.  So we'll wake him up when we are ready to start loading.  When we are done I'll hurry into the house & get ready for Sarah to bring all of the kids here at 8:00. Tonight the twins have a baseball game.  And after that I'll be burning the midnight oil cutting card stock!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Happy Stamping!

A gorgeous 'To A Wild Rose' lace card!

WOW- this is a clean & simple, yet gorgeous card using the 'To a Wild Rose' stamp set, along with the new lace cards & scalloped edge envelops (that are from the Bird Ballard Laser Cut Cards & Tin)!

This stamp set is a 3 step stamp when you make this detailed flower.  It is easy to line up & stamp!  And just gorgeous!
I love both of these......the laser cut (lace) card & the stamp set too!

The light purple card stock is a NEW In Color called Purple Posy!
This is a card that I did at my class last Sunday!  Everyone that made it loved it!

NOTE:  Since the card front is the lace- we had a Purple Posy die cut label from the Wild Rose Dies on the outside-under the flower & also another one on the inside of the card (on the back side of the front one).  Here is a picture showing how I did this.
And then I adhered the Gorgeous Grape card stock directly to the inside of the card- so that it showed through the outside, but it wasn't attached to the front lace part.

stamp set:  'To A Wild Rose'
card stock:
  • Purple Posy-
  • Highland Heather-
  • Mint Macaron-
  • Crumb Cake-
ink:  Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Mint Macaron
other:  Laser Cut Card & Scalloped Envelope in a Tin; Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Wild Rose Dies, Purple Posy Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Wink of Stella, dimensionals, glue dots

Yesterday was another jam packed day!  The Seeley boys are staying with us all week, as their parents are gone.  So I had all of the kids.  The boys all had basketball camp- so I ran back & forth to town with that.  We played outside some & I finally got my 2 hanging basket of flowers planted (now to find time to get the rest of them planted).  And then we all went to the races last night.  There were alot of race cars & it was late when we got home.  Nathan got 4th in his heat & 5th in main.  The track was super dusty- yes I know, that is hard to believe with all of the rain we've had lately!!

This morning we are all up early to start out another busy day!!  Nathan & Sarah both had early meetings, so their kids were here much earlier than normal.  We are getting breakfast & I'll then run the boys to basketball camp.  Their other grandpa Mark will pick them up, as Deke & I will take the other kids with us.  We have our yearly bank farm appointment this morning.  When we get home from our appointment, we'll pick up the twins, come home for a late lunch, put the little ones down for their naps, go get Brayden from basketball camp & be on the run all day!  Who knows what we'll get done or be doing tonight.  We never had a dull moment around here.....and I have LOTS of card stock I need to find time to get cut for my 4 stamp classes I have this weekend.

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!
