An apple with a worm-

Here are Brody & Drake's birthday cards!  Their BD theme was bugs........so I thought that they would like this!  It warmed my heart as I asked Brody what he thought of the card & he replied back- "I like it better than the money"- which was a $50 bill.  SO that was cool!
I just love this Apple Builder Punch!  I have used it alot already!  My mind just spins with ideas for using it!  I absolutely love that it can be used as a pumpkin too!  You'll have to look back through my blog posts the past couple of weeks- as I have several cards made with it!

Isn't it cute how this leaf has the bite out of it.  I love the smile on the worms face!  These colors are bright & cheery & make me think of a picnic.
This new plaid DSP - called Toile & Tidings, just worked perfectly with pulling this card all together.

stamp set:  'Wiggle Worm' & 'Harvest Hellos'

  • Real Red-
  • So Saffron-

Yesterday was a full day.  I got up early yesterday morning to make these cards for the twins & bake their birthday cake.  And then headed out the door.  Our day was then spent with family!!  Several in my family went to church in Gibson & listened to my nephew Ben Schmidt, do the sermon.   He did a great job & there were several people there that I hadn't seen for many years.  I use to go to that church with my Great-Grandma Fern White.  It brought back many memories.

Then we went to Lake Belva Deer & celebrated the twins birthday!!  We had yummy oreo desserts & chocolate sheet cake!!  Deke & I ran home to chore & then back out to eat supper with them & sit around the campfire last night visiting.  It was a great day!

Here is a great picture of Steve with the 3 boys camping this weekend.  They are getting so big!  Steve had his birthday on Saturday & yesterday we celebrated Brody & Drake's birthday with family & friends (which was actually on the 29th).

I hope you have a very special day on this Labor Day Holiday!
I'm off to stamp all day/night!
Later.

Yesterday I literally worked on stamping stuff & stamped all day!  I made some Halloween cards & a tutorial to go with them!  They all turned out cute!

Everyone went racing last night & Ainslee stayed home with me.  We went & got ice cream & watched a movie, read some books & colored/drew.

This morning I'm up early to get a Birthday Cake made for the twins & their birthday cards too!  I'm then going to Gibson (my home town) to church to listen to my nephew, Ben do the sermon.  I'll hurry home & we have the twins birthday party at the Lake this afternoon.

Sweet Pumpkin!

It is simple Saturday.....or that is was I trying to do when I created this card.
I am not sure that this is super simple, but I love the way it turned out!
I am such a fall lover!  And with the cooler temps we've had lately.....
it feels like fall already (which I am lovin')!

So today I'm sharing another card I made this morning using the
'Harvest Hellos' stamp set!
WOW- I used the NEW Apple Builder Punch to cut out my pumpkin!

I stamped everything here using the NEW Copper Metallic ink!
Look at this NEW little leaf punch!!
It is from the Every Seasons Punch Pack (snowflakes, heart, bat & leaf)
- pg. 50 in the NEW Holiday Catalog.

This leaf punch isn't suppose to coordinate with the leaf in this
'Harvest Hellos' stamp set......but it works great!!
It punches most of the leaf out- except a little bit on the bottom of it-
which doesn't even show.
I had a hard time trying to decide what color this Come to Gather DSP was.
I ended up using the Gray Granite with it & think it looks perfect!
(I tried Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate & Sahara Sand & none of them looked good.)
stamp set:  'Harvest Hellos'
card stock:
  • Cajun Craze-2" strip, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2'- score at 4 1/4" for card base
  • Mossy Meadow- 3/4" strip- stamp leaves onto & punch out with leaf punch
  • Early Espresso- 1/2" strip- punch out pumpkin stem
  • Gray Granite-  3" strip- cut out large Stitched Shape largest square
  • Whisper White-  2" strip- stamp words & punch out with 1 1/2" Circle Punch, 2 3/4" strip- cut out Stitched Shapes 2nd to largest square
designer paper:  Come to Gather DSP
ink:  Copper Metallic
other:  Apple Builder Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch, Every Season Punch Pack (small leaf), Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Stitched Shapes Die (squares), dimensionals, Glue Dots

So leave me a message & let me know what you think of this card.
You can also check out these other cards I have previously posted using this Apple Builder Punch!

Yesterday was a very long day.  It started out early with selling hogs!  And then it was a busy day with the kids.  The 3 big boys got of of school early, so they were here about 2:15.  We played outside most of the day.....it was another gorgeous day!

Last night we went to the races.  Deke, me & Deke's brother (Doug)- all headed to Columbus Junction, following Nathan, Sarah & the kids, who took the truck/trailer/race car.  There were 18 stock cars there.  Nathan won his heat!  He was leading the main & got hit in the back end going into turn 1 (which made him spin).   I thought he was going to roll.  Thankfully while he was sitting there during that caution, no one hit him as they were coming around the corner.  He had to go to the back of the field on the restart & they also sent the guy that hit him to the back too.  You could tell that he was mad, as he went from the tail up to 5th place.  He was flying & looked good.  Then with only 3 laps to go, on a restart (due to caution caused by someone else)- his front right tie rod broke & he had to pull in- so he didn't finish the race!  Such a bummer!!!  But thankfully no one got hurt & the car wasn't torn up.  It was late when we got home & we went right to bed.

This morning I was up early to get this card created for today's blog post.  I have LOTS of stamping I have to get done today.  Tonight the guys are racing again......but I am going to stay home & get caught up on things here.  So I pray I good mojo & I get alot done today!!

Gotta run......
I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

Harvest Hellos- sneak peek!

This cute new Holiday Catalog bundle has a coordinating punch that goes along with the stamp set!  This apple punch can also be a duo & turn into a pumpkin too!!  The stamp set is the 'Harvest Hellos', along with the Apple Builder Punch.

You can CLICK HERE TO SEE MY PUMPKIN CARD!

I used the beautiful new Toile Tidings DSP.  I love the different prints in this DSP- but what is even more special about it is that there are 6 different designs.  On one side each design is Real Red & on the other side the it is the exact same design, but it is Garden Green!  So check out how I used both sides of this plaid DSP here- with one side being the Real Red & one side being the Garden Green.
This 'Harvest Hellos' stamp set has several different words that are in it.  It makes for a great 'many occasions' stamp set!   Don't you think this is a cute get well card!

This apple also makes me think of teachers- especially with school just starting.  Plus it makes me think of the old saying- an apple a day keeps the doctor away!  And I love apples!  I eat at least one every day.  All of the kids like apples too!
stamp set:  'Harvest Hellos'
card stock:
  • Garden Green-
  • Real Red-

  • Early Espresso
designer paper:  Toile Tidings DSP

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  We made a quick trip to Osky to deposit a hog check & played outside.  The 3 big boys rode the bus here.  When the kids went home I worked on stamping stuff all night.  Other than we ran to town to meet the Seeley's to have ice cream with them- celebrating Brody & Drake's 8th birthday!

This morning we are up early to mark, sort & load a semi of hogs.  I'll hurry in & get to Manda's to take the twins to school & spend my day with the 3 younger ones.

Tonight we MIGHT be going to Columbus Junction to race!!!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  We played outside for awhile both in the morning & the afternoon.  We are definitely lovin' this great weather! The 3 big boys rode the bus here.  They all ate supper with us & then we took the twins to their FB game.  When we got home- I still had supper dishes to do, toys (inside & outside) to pick up & emails to answer.   Plus I quickly made this card, so that I could share it with you today!

This morning we are up early!  Nathan & Manda both have early meetings today- so Deke & I are headed to Nathan's.  We'll get the kids up & he'll bring Masen & Ainslee to our house.  I'll take Brayden with me & we'll go to Manda's.  I'll feed the boys breakfast & then take the 3 big boys to school.  I'll come home & spend my day with the 3 younger ones!

Today is Brody & Drake's 8th birthday!!  Can you believe it!!  I can't......where has the time gone.  I so remember this day very vividly!!  What blessings they are in our lives!  We will officially celebrate their birthday & have their party this weekend!

Tonight we'll see what time everyone leaves.  I need to run a hog check to the bank & I need groceries too.....and I was just too tired last night to do it after the FB game.  I also need to stamp.  So we'll see what how the day goes!

Yesterday was a fun day with the kids.  We played outside for quite awhile after lunch.  It was another beautiful day!!

Last night we went to the annual Farm Bureau meeting/supper.  We saw alot of people we hadn't seen for awhile, so it was great to catch up with some of them.  Some of them I just got to say a quick hi too & hope to catch up with them again sometime soon.  The supper was great!  The speaker was very good!   And it was just a very nice evening.  Brayden, Masen & Ainslee all went too & sat with us- as Nathan & Sarah are both FB (council) members & helped with the meeting/supper.  We stayed afterwards to help pick up tables/chairs & visit some.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for the morning.  I'm up early to work on book work.  I'll head to town to Manda's, take the twins to school & head home & spend my day with the 3 younger ones.   Tonight Manda & Steve are taking little kids football team pictures, so the Seeley boys will be here with us.  Sarah has a late meeting.  And the twins have their first football game.  So....we'll all go to that & cheer them on.  It will be a fun night with everyone.

Simple Saturday!!

Today is simple Saturday!!  And I'm thinking fall!  This is another sneak peek using some NEW Holiday Catalog products!

Wow it was another gorgeous day here in Iowa yesterday!!  The air is cool & crisp!  I told Deke it is kinda scary- as I love fall, but is it too soon to be having this nice of weather?  I hope not.  I hope days/nights like this last long & we have a great fall!

Check out this fall card!  I used the 'Gather Together' bundle- including the Gathered Leaves Dies.
Look at how these little leaves are embossed!!  How cool is that!  The die embosses & cuts at the same time.  Just run it through the Big Shot one time & it is done!  It is super easy & simple to do!

I did lightly sponge over the embossed leaves with the Early Espresso ink.  And then put some Wink of Stella over them!

Did you notice that the size of this card is a little different?  I made it to be 4 1/4 x 4 1/4"- as I put a little surprise in the inside of it.
As I made a gift card holder on the inside.
I used the Timeless Label Punch to make the slit for the gift card.

NOTE:  This is similar to the birthday card that I made for Nathan yesterday.  I changed up the words some, but used the leaves & these colors.

How did I do it?
  • Early Espresso- 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 4 1/4"; 5 1/2" & 6 3/4".
  • Fold it into a "W" or a "M".
  • Use Tear & Tape along the 4 1/4" edge & stick together.
  • Use the Timeless Label Punch to make the slit for the gift card.
  • Decorate your card.
stamp set:  'Gather Together'
card stock:
  • Early Espresso- 4 1/4 x 11"; 4 1/4 x 1/2"
  • Crumb Cake- 2" strip- cut out leave with die
  • Soft Suede- 2 3/4" strip- stamp leaf & cut out with die
  • Cajun Craze- 2" strip- cut out leaf with die

This card was my swap I made for my team meeting that I had last weekend.  Plus I also made 25 more (for a total of 50) of them for a swap that I did with some other demonstrator friends from our Greece trip.

So what do you think?  I don't have many pine trees outside my door (other than the 3 big Blue Spruce in our yard)- but I see deer like this every day, multiple times each day.  We have a set of twins fawns this year.  They finally have their spots gone.  They are sooo cute!  They are loving our corn in the field that is in our front yard.

++++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  It was our last day of summer!!  I just can't believe it, as time just seems to fly by!  We were outside alot in the morning & quite a bit yesterday afternoon too.  It was a gorgeous day!!  Last night Steve & Nathan came to help Deke sort outside hogs.  Sarah was still gone, so Masen, Ainslee & I watched them.  When the kids went home last night I worked on farm bookwork.

Our morning started out early today, selling a semi load of hogs.  We had a great trucker & it was a good to start the day off that way!

Today is Nathan's birthday!!  And the first day of school!!  I can't believe that summer is over & a new school year is beginning.  Brayden will be in 6th grade & Brody & Drake will be in 2nd grade.  They all love school & are super excited to start out their new year!

So I'll just have Trey, Masen & Ainslee today.  Trey & Masen want to go out to the farm- as Brayden, Brody & Drake have gone out for awhile this week to help Papa.  So we'll see how our day goes & what we end up doing.

Tonight I'll be stamping!!  I need to finish getting things from my team meeting & August monthly classes all put away- so I can start working on projects for my September classes.  I plan to stamp as much as possible this weekend!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

A Poinsettia card & some more sneak peeks!

Well.......check it out!! I mentioned to you in a post on 8/6/19 that I was going to make a Poinsettia card using the Tasteful Backgrounds Dies, as I thought that the flowers looked like they could be Poinsettia's.

So here is my card I created last night with these Tasteful Backgrounds Dies!  What do you think?  Do you think that they look look like Poinsettia's?

You can CLICK HERE TO SEE the card that I posted on 8/6/19, using these Tasteful Backgrounds Dies.

Can you tell that I shadow stamped the words, using 2 different colors of ink?  Look at them closely!
How did I do that?
  1. Stamp the words onto the Whisper White card stock using the NEW Golden Glitz Metallic ink pad.
  2. Clean the stamp.
  3. Stamp the words again, slightly being off- over the top of the gold words, using Cherry Cobbler ink.
It isn't neat how you can see the gold edge shadow on the words!  I think it makes it really pretty & elegant.

I also used some NEW Holiday Catalog products for sneak peeks!  They will be available for you to purchase when the Holiday Catalog begins on 9/4/19!

Check out these NEW sneak peek products-
  1. DSP- It is from the Wrapped in Plaid 6x6 DSP pack.
  2. Ribbon- It is Cherry Cobbler Diagonal Stripe Ribbon.
  3. Words- They are from the 'Peaceful Boughs' stamp set.
  4. Ink- It is the Golden Glitz Metallic ink pad.
*This is what the words looked like when I stamped them using the Gold Glitz Metallic ink. Before I stamped the Cherry Cobbler over the tops of it!

A CUTE pumpkin= sneak peek!!!

Yep- you know how much I LOVE fall!!  Well today I'm sharing a simple card....but isn't it cute!!  It is another sneak peek using NEW Holiday Catalog products!!!

This is one of the many cards I created as a shoe box swap for my team meeting that I hosted last Saturday.  I really like the way it turned out.   Simple is sometimes hard for me- but this is my creative juices at 3 am when I should be sleeping!

#1- stamp set- 'Harvest Hellos'

Let me tell you about this NEW stamp set.....it has a coordinating punch to go with it!!  WOO HOOO!  Plus it cam also be an apple.  And it has several coordinating images & words to go with it too!

#2- I stamped the pumpkin & everything with a NEW Gold Metallic ink pad.  OH MY GOSH!  I love it!  It dries fast & don't you thin it looks great here!  I love it on the pumpkin!

#3- DSP- it is from the NEW Come to Gather DSP!  I really like every single image in this pack.

#4- There are no framelits to coordinate with this set.  The pumpkin/apple stem is also on the Pumpkin/Apple punch & so is a standard leaf image.  But the leaf I used here I stamped & then fussy cut out with my Paper Snips.

So what do you think?  Do you like it?

Yesterday was a busy day with the 6 kids.  They all played well together & we had farms set up all over the house- in every room!  It kept them entertained for a few hours anyways.  And for the most part they all got along pretty well.  Brayden helped Papa on the farm for a few hours in the afternoon.  When the kids went home I made a quick drive to Osky to deposit a hog check & back home to get supper & work on stamping stuff!

This morning I'm up early to work on stamping stuff & then head to town to Manda's to get the boys.  I'll then get Nathan's 2 little ones & spend my day with the 5 of them.  Deke is home all day today to work on the farm & Brody wants to help him- so that will be fun!  Tonight I'll be stamping when the kids have all gone home.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

A CUTE Christmas Sneak Peek!

Check out this pile of cute Christmas cards that I made for a swap with some demonstrator friends of mine!!!

I used LOTS of products from the NEW Holiday Catalog that starts on September 4th, 2019!  Oh my gosh......my wish list is huge & I want it all!  The new things I have gotten so far I am having so much creating with!

I used the NEW 'Perfectly Plaid' stamp set & the NEW coordinating Pine Tree Punch!
You can hardly tell by the photo- but I also used a cool new embossing folder-Winter Knit 3D Embossing Folder.   I used it on the Real Red strip that is going through the card.

This DSP pack is very pretty!  It is something different than a normal 12x12 DSP package, as there are just 6 prints different patterns in it.  Each sheet is Garden Green on one side & Real Red on the other side.  It has the pretty wintery designs on 3 sheets, leaves on one sheet, stripes on one sheet & plaids on one sheet!

Yesterday was a busy day- mostly spent with family!!  We had Masen's birthday party, then I picked up Casey's pizza for our supper,  And we ate with Nathan & their 3 kids, and Manda & Steve & their 3 boys in Nathan's shop.  (Sarah left last night for a work trip, so she wasn't there for supper with us.) After supper Susie's Hair Hut was then open & I cut Brody, Drake, Trey & Deke's hair in Nathan's shop!  I did a few things when we got home & called it a night.  I had hope to get some stamping done yesterday, but I didn't get that far.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.  I'm up early to work on stamping stuff.  And then head out to Manda's to get their 3 boys.  I'll stop by Nathan's on my way back from town & pick up their 3 kids.  So I'll spend my day with all 6 of them.   We will play outside & have fun our on countdown this week to school starting.

Tonight I have LOTS of stamping stuff & bookwork to get caught up on when the kids leave, so I hope I accomplish alot.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!
