Peacock

These colors together are great!  Look at this beautiful & detailed Peacock die.  Behind it I have used the coordinating Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder.  And I've added some of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones on the Peacock!
Along the right edge  & the bottom, I used a narrow strip of the Noble Peacock (Blueberry Bushel) foil.  In person this just sparkles with the foil & the rhinestones!

Yesterday was a busy day with Masen & Ainslee.  Last night I went to the twins baseball game.  They lost, but they both played good.  So they are done with baseball games for the year. I stamped when I got home.

Deke worked on the farm all day yesterday & then his brother Doug, came up to help him work on a tractor last night.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for the morning.  I'll get up early too so I can walk & then I will spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.  Tonight I'll go to Brayden baseball game for awhile & then head to the races.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Check out the long neck dino that I stamped here!!

This is a fun card that I made for a swap that I'm in with some other demonstrator friends.
Here is the pile of cards that I made & mailed off last week!

Look at the cute little leaf embellishments from the Dinoroar Enamel Shapes, that I have added underneath the words.

I also used the NEW In Color called- Pretty Peacock for my layered piece & ink.  Plus I used the NEW coordinating reversible ribbon too!

I made another dinosaur card & posted it last week!  You can check out my other 'Dino Days' dinosaur BY CLICKING HERE!

Tonight the twins have a baseball game, so we'll go to that.  And hopefully we get home at a decent hour, as I have stamping stuff to do.

Gorgeous Pansy's!

WOW!  Look at these Pansy flowers.  They are just gorgeous.  And they are soooo easy to make!  They are actually on a roll of washi tape!  Be sure you check them out on 172 in the Annual Catalog.  They are the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape!  Just so cool!

These colors & this layout are a totally Susie card.
This is the quicky card I made with this washi tape!  Check out the coordinating DSP I used too!  It is from the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP.  Yes- both pieces of this DSP are from the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP pack.
I did this as a fun z fold card.  And I used the words from the 'Path of Petals' stamp set.
This is what the washi tape looks like & this is how I made these flower!
  1. I used the 1 1/8" Scalloped Circle Punch
  2. I used 5 of Washi Tape Petals & laid them around the punched out circle.
  3. Use your Embossing Buddy & tape onto the back side of the Washi Tape flower- so that it isn't stick any longer....ans I wanted my petals to curl some (like a real flower) & not be stuck flat.
  4. Add the Perennial Essence Floral Center.
  5. Put a couple of dimensionals on the back side of the flower.
  6. Adhere to the card front.
stamp set:  'Path of Petals'
card stock:  Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry Whisper White
designer paper:  Pressed Petals Specialty DSP
ink:  Early Espresso
other:  Perennial Essence Floral Center, 1 1/8" Scalloped Circle Punch, Embossing Buddy, Dimensionals

Yesterday was a busy day with the boys.  Susie's Hair Hut was open & I gave them all 3 hair cuts!  We played outside & were busy bees!

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.  I'm up early to walk & get ready to spend my day with Masen & Ainslee.

Brayden's team got a first round Bye in the tournament- so we don't have a baseball game now tonight.  That is good......I have LOTS of stamping I need to get done & things to get caught up on.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!
Happy Stamping!

Movie Night!

Last December for part of each kids Christmas gifts- I made these cards & we gave them to all 6 kids.  They are a FREE Movie Night gift!

Here are my piles of pieces as I was working on them.
This is what each card  looked like when I got it done!  Aren't they so cute!  I thought they turned out neat & the kids were thrilled with them too.
I made it so that the inside pieces of each card pulled up, so that I could write in each of them!  And the outside part of the card was a pocket that was secured with tear & tape (along the outside edges) & a ribbon wrapped around them.  I then printed Movie Night & FREE Popcorn onto pieces of card stock & punched them out, to add to their cards.
Here are all 6 of the finished cards/gifts!

So last night the 3 Seeley boys redeemed their movie night gifts!  Read on.......
++++++++
Yesterday I got up early to work on finishing up a swap that I needed to get mailed out.  And then I went to Williamsburg to watch the twins play in their baseball tournament.  They won the first 2 games & tied the last game 10-10.  It was windy, chilly & wet at the game!  Who would have thought we'd have to wear sweatshirts, jackets & wrap up in blankets this time of year!

The 3 Seeley boys are staying with us this yesterday & today- so last night we took the 3 of them to Ottumwa to use their Movie Night gifts.  Toy Story 4 was released yesterday, so that is what we surprised the boys with & went to see as our movie.  Our night was filled with- the movie, pop, popcorn, a box of candy & then a Walker's ice cream cone on our way home!!  It was the perfect ending to a fun & busy day!  Then thought they had to watch an old Toy Story movie when we got home, but fell asleep long before it was over with.  We were all tired.  It had been a long & busy day!

Our plans for the day are to stay home all day!  We'll see what the weather is like & what we end up doing.  At the moment we don't have any definite plans.  Manda & Steve will be home later this afternoon.

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

'All Geared Up'- for Deke's birthday card!

Check out Deke's birthday card!  It was a quicky that I hurried & made for him on Wednesday morning.

Blue is his favorite color & I couldn't wait to use this NEW Noble Peacock Foil.  Isn't it so cool how I used it to cut out this gear!!!  It is Blueberry Bushel!  Wow!
This is a z fold card.....which is always my "go to fold" when I don't want it to make a basic card fold.
So I think it turned out pretty cool & Deke liked it too- so that is what counts!

stamp set:  'Perennial Birthday' & 'Geared Up Garage'
card stock:  Blueberry Bushel, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Noble Peacock (Blueberry Bushel) Foil
ink:  Blueberry Bushel
other:  Big Shot, Garage Gear Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots, Embossing Mat- retired, dimensionals, glue dots

Yesterday was a long day!  When we got home I worked on swaps & Deke slept most of the afternoon.  He chored, we ate supper & went to bed early, as we were both beat.  Deke will work on the farm all day.   And I'm going to head to Williamburg for the twins baseball tournament they have there.  Then the 3 Seeley boys will be staying with us tonight- so guess we'll have a slumber party!

I hope you have a SUPER Saturday!!

'Celebrate with Cake'

These little stemmed flowers are from a NEW brochure!  You can CLICK HERE TO LOOK AT IT!  Or you can check it by clicking on the photo of the brochure that I have posted along the right edge of my blog home page too.  It is called the Beginners Brochure!  But it isn't just for beginners!

The stamp set is in this Beginners Brochure & is called- 'Celebrate with Cake'!  It can be found on page 11 in this brochure!  I think this stamp set is sooooo cute!  It is a totally Susie style with multiple images for many different occasions.  And the images in this stamp set are definitely not just for beginners.  Any stamper can use them!  Stampin' Up! designed this new brochure to help out new customers find products where they could purchase everything they need to make a card/or project & not be so overwhelmed by looking at the big Annual Catalog.  This brochure is good from June 4, 2019 to June 2, 2020.

So for today's card I decided to create a simple card & use the tulips!  I think it turned out super cute!

CHECK OUT this gorgeous NEW  Purple Tricolor ribbon!  WOW!  I love it!
Here are the supplies, measurements & some TIPS I'd like to share with you about my card:

stamp set:  'Celebrate with Cake'
card stock:
  • Granny Apple Green- 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 5 1/2" & fold for card base
  • Gorgeous Grape- 4 1/4 x 1 1/4"; 4 1/4 x 1 1/4"; 2 3/4" strip to cut out stitched square die
  • Purple Posy- 3 1/8 x 3 1/8"; 1/2" strip- stamp words onto- cut off & flag ends with Paper Snips
  • Whisper White- 2 1/2" strip- stamp flowers & stems onto & cut out with stitched square die
designer paper:
  • 2019-2020 In Color DSP- Purple Posy- 3/4 x 3"; 3/4 x 3"
Ink:  Gorgeous Grape & Granny Apple Green
other: Wink of Stella (over the flowers), Paper Snips (flagged the end of the banner for the words), Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Stitched Shapes Dies (Squares), 3/8" Tricolor Purple Ribbon

SOME TIPS from ME:
  1. Ink your solid image stamps (Photopolymer or Red Rubber) into VERSAMARK ink before you use them (when they are new).   SO YOU WOULD- ink your stamp into Versamark ink pad, stamp it onto a piece of scratch paper; use your Stampin' Mist & Scrub pad to clean the stamp(s).
  2. Then ink the stamp(s) into the desired color of ink you want.  (OR you could use your Stampin' Write Markers directly onto your stamp, breath onto it & stamp it onto your paper.)
  3. Why do you stamp into the Versamark ink first:  By doing this with your solid image photopolymer stamps, it coats them & gives them a better solid image when you stamp them with ink & helps with the ink in being more even, solid & bold looking.
      THEN ANOTHER TIP:
  • Those of you that stamp with me at my classes know that I often cut stamps apart if they have multiple images all connected into one stamp.   SO IF there are words & images connected- most generally I will cut them off & make them separate.  This way I can use them separately.  NOTE:  The 3 flowers in this stamp set are all one stamp & connected.  So I used my Paper Snips & cut my 3 flowers apart, so that I could stamp them all separately.  So I now have 3 separate flowers.  WHY DID I DO THIS?  Because that way I could use my ink pads & make them all 3 different colors.  OR I could stamp them all going the same direction OR I could stamp just one tulip image & stamp it 3 times, etc.  Mainly by doing this- it gives me more options in stamping the images differently than just for the one use.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  Once you cut them apart you can't put them back together- so make sure you do want them apart before you do it!
I have created another card using these same stems & flowers (in different colors)- that I'll be sharing with you sometime within the next week!  So be sure you stop back by & check out that card too!  You'll then see how I used the 3 flowers in 3 different colors & why it was easier for me to have them cut apart.
++++++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with the 5 kids here.  We played outside for most of the morning.  It was a beautiful day out!  Last night I stamped- as I'm working on swaps that I need to get done & in the mail for some groups I signed up to do.

This morning we are up early at 4:30.  Deke is off to chore & we are then headed to town, as Deke has a colonoscopy today.  Later this afternoon we'll have the 3 Seeley boys & take the twins to their baseball game tonight in Wellman.

Gotta run.......
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Happy Stamping!

I just knew when I saw this bundle that the boys would love it!  And so do I!

Check out the distinktive shadowing look in the dinosaur.  COOL!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids!  We ran errands in the morning, made Deke a BD cake, read lots of bookes, etc.  Last night the races & the baseball game were both cancelled due to the rain.  So we took our family & went out to eat supper to celebrate Deke's birthday!  It was fun!  Lots of laughs!  The boys sang "happy birthday" to Papa in the restaraunt.  It was priceless!  I loved it!  Everyone was looking at them & just smiling!

This morning we are up early at 5:00 to mark, sort & load hogs!  I'll hurry inside when we are done, as I have al 5 kids today. Tonight the boys all are suppose to have baseball games.  I'm not sure what we'll end up doing.  We will see how the day goes & what ends up happening.

I hope you have a great Thursday!!

Yesterday was a busy day.....I finally took time to squeeze in a hair cut.  And then I spent the rest of the day stamping!

Last night Deke I ran out for a quick supper.  We had hoped to get to Menards, but it was raining too hard- so we'll get there sometime this week yet.  We need to get some stuff to make a dog kennel for Cocoa.

Today is a very sad day.......not only is it my dad's 77th birthday.  It is also the 12th Anniversary of his passing.  Yep- 12 years ago today on Father's Day we found him dead.  It was a nightmare of a day that I'll never forget.  I miss him so much & not a day goes by that I don't think of him & wish he was still here with us.

This will also be the first Father's Day that we will have since the passing of my step-dad Dick.  We miss him too!  He was also a great guy!

But I have to also think of the positive & remember the great guys I still have in my life that we will be celebrating today- Deke, Nathan, Steve & Deke's step-dad & my uncles- Jerry, Joe & Larry; plus several nephews & some brother-in-laws!

We are up early this morning.....I am hoping to get some more stamping done while Deke chores.  We are then headed to Des Moines to spend the day at Adventureland with our family!  Nathan, Sarah & family; Manda, Steve & boys; our nephews- Josh (Kacie) & Matt (Cheryl) & their families; Deke's sister (Darci); & Deke's brother (Doug) & girlfriend Chris will all be there!  It should be a fun family day with this big crew from the Wood Family!!  The kids are super excited!  We'll have lots of laughs & I'm sure we'll make lots of great memories!

We had quite a thunder storm (rain) last night, but today the weather is to be beautiful!

So I hope you have a very special day!!
ENJOY!!!!
Happy Stamping!

Little Truck!

This is the little truck that Drake & I made earlier this week for Trey's birthday!  Drake is my stamper!  He loves to stamp & stamps almost every day that he is here.

Isn't this truck just so cute!!  I love 3D items & this bundle is just adorable!  There are endless possibilities when creating with it.  This truck is pretty clean & simple.....Drake cut it out, glued it together with glue dots & fussy cut the wheels, windows & balloons.  I think he did a great job!

This truck from the Ride with Me Bundle- stamp set & dies!  They are on page 55 in the Annual Catalog. Check them out!
Look how we stamped the balloons, fussy cut them out & wrote Trey's name on them!

In this bundle there are a Christmas tree & pumpkins too, that can be stamped (& die cut if you want)- to put into the back of the truck.  Or you could put candy, make boxes, gifts, or many other things in the back of the truck.

++++++++
Yesterday morning we were up early to sell hogs.  I then went to town & I ran some errands.  I then spent my day withe Brayden, Masen & Ainslee.  Brayden & I worked with his 4-H pigs & cleaned out his show box.  The Keokuk County Fair is a little over a month away.   So Brayden has been slopping his pigs.....as we want that rate of gain to be good.  His pigs were minimum weight when he weighed them in March- so hopefully then end up gaining good.

Last night we went to watch the twins play baseball.  They did good.  It was chilly!  Who would have thought we'd have been wearing sweatshirts & had blankets at baseball games in the middle of June!

This morning I'm up early to go get my hair cut!  I'll then spend the rest of my day stamping & helping Deke do some things outside on the farm.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!!
Happy Stamping!

Trey is 5 years old!

Last night we had Trey's 5th birthday party with lots of family joining us!  There were about 30 of us!  The weather was nice & we enjoyed a great evening together on the Seeley's backyard patio.  We had walking tacos, watermelon & yummy cupcakes that my friend Cherie made!

Trey's birthday theme was super hero's.  So here is Captain America's shield- which is a 'quicky' card I whipped up right before we headed out the door.  He liked it!  So that was good!  I thought it turned out cute!!
Here are the products that I used-
  • The words- from the 'Perennial Birthday' stamp set & it is still currently available!
  • The star- retired punch.
  • The circles- 1 1/2" Circle Punch & then the next 2 are from the Layering Circle Dies & then the biggest one is from a bowl out of my kitchen cupboard that I traced around & fussy cut out with my Paper Snips.
  • The DSP- is retired.

Yesterday was a busy day with 4 of the kids.  It was nice & we were outside for part of the morning & awhile in the afternoon too.  The 3 little ones took pretty good naps & Drake got to play games on the ipad, while I browned meat for our birthday party supper.  Brody spent the day with his mom, helping her pick up the cupcakes, clean & get ready for Trey's birthday party!

We sold hogs last night after Trey's party.  The semi got here 9:30 p.m.  So it is a short night for us, as we are up early at 5 this morning & headed back out to mark, sort & load hogs again.
I'll then spend my day with the 3 Wood kids.  And tonight Deke & I are going with the Wood family to Memphis, Missouri racing.  The Seeley boys have a baseball game & I hate to miss it, but we'll go to one of their games next week.
Gotta run.
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
