Susie's Annual Spring Fling!

WOO HOO!  Today is my Annual Spring Fling event!

I've got lots of cute cards using retiring, staying & NEW products from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, the Occasions Catalog & the upcoming NEW 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  Everyone will be going home with lots of cards & lots of ideas!!
Here is the box of bags I made for everyone, along with a cute little name tag too, that I added to them!  The envelopes (for all of the cards they'll be making) are inside their bag.  They can carry this bag around with them & keep all of their projects in it that they make today.
I used the Share What you Love DSP to make these.  I love the colors of this DSP, plus I thought these flowers looked like Spring!

I've spend many hours planning, creating & cutting for this event.  I have a great group joining me for a fun filled day of stamping, creating & sharing!  And I can't wait!
+++++
Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Last night Deke & I spent about 3 hours in South English- setting up tables, chairs & getting some of the things set up.  We took a whole car load over & I have another whole car load of things to take with me this morning.

When we got home from South English last night we got the food all ready for today.  I made shredded pork sandwiches, cheesy potatoes & layered lettuce salad.  I'm baking chocolate chip cookie bars right before I leave.

I burnt the midnight oil getting everything finished up, packed up & ready!!

Gotta run.....as I've still got some things to do before I head out the door.

I hope you have a very SPECIAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

'Stitched All Around'

I love it!!  I think that this card turned out super cute!  What do you think?  It is very detailed & elegant!  It would work for many different occasions.  What about Mother's Day?  A Wedding?  An Anniversary?  A Birthday?  A graduation?

This is one of the cards that everyone will be making at my Spring Fling tomorrow!!  I hope everyone making it likes it as much as I do!

Check out the cool stitched embossing that goes across the card.  It is made with one of the Framelits from the Stitched Labels Framelits.  And the Doily type frame is also from this same framelit set.  Aren't they both super cool too!

This stamp set- 'Stitched All Around' & the coordinating Framelits- Stitched Labels Framelit- can be bought as a bundle now & you save 10%.
And aren't these flowers on this DSP just gorgeous too!  They are from the photographic DSP called- Petal Promenade.

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  When they went home I burnt the midnight oil cutting card stock!  I was suppose to help Deke sort outside pigs, but Nathan helped out in my place.

Late yesterday afternoon our hog buyer called, had a couple of cancellations & could now get us in to sell hogs early this morning!  (We were suppose to sell them tomorrow (Saturday) morning.) So it is a short night here- as we are up at 4:00 a.m. & headed outside to mark, sort & load 2 semi loads of hogs!  Hopefully the truckers are both on time & all goes well.......as Manda has a meeting this morning, so I need to be at her house in time to get the boys.  I'll take the twins to school & then spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Tonight Deke & I will go to South English to set up table & chairs.  We'll take a car load of things over with us too, to carry in!  We'll then come home & get all of the food ready.  And then I'll burn the midnight oil again- finishing getting everything all done!

I have LOTS of super cute projects created for my Spring Fling & I'm looking forward to seeing everyone that is joining me.  It will be a fun day of sharing & stamping with them.  My Annual Spring Fling event is unique- as the cards are created with something old (retiring products), something staying & some NEW things too!  There are some fun folds, some fun techniques & lots of Big Shot cutting for me to get done.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

'Humming Along'

I water colored this flower!  Isn't it pretty!  You can see the sparkle on it from the Wink of Stella in this photo of it!

This is another one of my upcoming Spring Fling cards!

I used the 'Humming Along' stamp set in the Occasions Catalog- pg. 36.  It is RETIRING!  Several of the products on this cards are RETIRING.  And then check out the punch!  It is a NEW one that will be available in the NEW Annual Catalog in June (unless you purchased it in March- as one of the Sale-a-bration Coordination products).  It is called Story Label Punch.

I love the words in this stamp set.  I like the font with the larger & smaller lettering.
What is the lace?  It too is in the Occasions Catalog on pg. 48.  It is called the Beautifully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.  It too is RETIRING!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  The 3 big boys were here after school too.  And then I burnt the midnight oil cutting card stock!  I have 20 super cute cards created to share at my upcoming Spring Fling!  I can't wait for everyone to see them.  Now to just get everything all ready for it!  This is a super busy/crazy week!

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head off to Ottumwa for a meeting & then onto Fairfield for a meeting.  I'm up early to cut card stock, will pick up Brayden & then head to town to Manda's.  I'll take the twins to school & then spend my day with the 3 little ones.  The 3 big boys will be here after school.  I have to help Deke sort outside hogs for a bit tonight & will then burn the midnight oil again cutting card stock!

Floral Romance DSP!

This is an elegant card that everyone coming to my Spring Fling this weekend will be making.

These products are from the Occasions Catalog. Check out pages 10 & 11.  I didn't use the coordinating stamp set with them- but I used several of the products in this suite.  I used the Floral Romance Specialty DSP, Floral Romance Seals & the Lace Embossing folder.  What a gorgeous suite this is.

Do you see how I cut along the scallop in the Lace Embossing Folder to get this edge?

The words are from the 'Dear Doily' stamp set- pg. 47.

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Last night everyone was here for supper.  We had a Wood Family favorite- ham balls, cheesy potatoes, corn casserole, grape nut muffins & oreo dessert.  After supper we went outside for an Easter Egg hunt, played ball, played on the swing & enjoyed the evening together.  It was fun watching the kids hunt for the eggs.  They were to each find 10 of them.  That was fun too- listening to them count & then help one another to make sure everyone got their 10.

When everyone left I burnt the midnight oil stamping.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for the morning.  He is wanted to disc in the field when he gets home, so hopefully he can.  I'm up early to do some stamping before I head to town.  Manda has to leave early today, so I'll get the boys up, fed & to school.  I'll then spend my day with the 3 little ones.  There are no races tonight, so I'll be a card stock cutting fool!  I have LOTS to get done.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday the kids were on Spring Break- so I was home alone.  I literally stamped all day/night!  I am working on my big annual Spring Fling event that I have coming up this weekend.  I have lots of cute projects created- now to get everything all cut & ready for it.  So this week my. posts are going to be short & sweet- so that I can use every spare minute I have.

This morning I'm up early to get stamp stuff picked up & head out the door to get kids.  I'll take the big boys to school & spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Tonight we are having a late Easter supper here at our home.....so I've got things to get ready for that too.  When everyone is gone tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil again stamping!

'Birthday Statements'

You all know that I love black& white cards.  On this one I added some gold!!  It is clean, simple & cute!  I love the way it turned out.  It was hard to photograph & I think it is actually prettier in person.

This stamp set- 'Birthday Statements'- in the Occasions Catalog- pg. 19.  It is one of the many items that is not carrying over into the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  This would be really cute all colored in with my Stampin' Blends.....but I didn't want to take that much time in creating it.  So I went simple & elegant instead.

This stripped gold/black DSP is from the Broadway Bound Specialty DSP in the Annual Catalog on pg. 188.  It is also on the retiring list & is available while supplies last only or until June 3rd, 2019.
I even decorated the inside of the card too by adding a couple balloons & strings too!
I think that this card could be for many different occasions.  How about birthday, graduation, anniversary, retirement, etc.

This card is one of the many, that everyone attending my Annual Spring Fling this coming Saturday will be making.

Yesterday I literally stamped all day/night- other than cooking lunch & supper for Deke & giving him a hair cut last night.

Today the kids are on Spring Break- so I will be home along & literally stamping all day/night again.  We were suppose to have our Easter tonight, but Brayden now has baseball practice-so hopefully we can find a night yet this week to all get together.

Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

Circle stamping with 'Vibrant Vases'

These colors & this card makes me think of Spring!  Isn't it a pretty card!  I just love the way it turned out.

I used my Stamparatus & the 'Vibrant Vases' stamp set to make the flower wreath.

CLICK HERE to see my tutorial on how to do Circle Stamping with your Stamparatus!

I stamped the flowers and then I didn't reink them before I stamped them again.  I call this shadow stamping.  With stamping it this way I could have both light & dark shades of flowers with just one ink pad.

If you are signed up to attend my Spring Fling next weekend- you'll be making a version of this card in different colors.

Circle stamping!

I love to use my Stamparatus!!
And it is super cool to do "Circle Stamping" with it.
I've had a few of you ask me how I do it!

If you are local & have attended a class of mine- you have got to do it yourself a few times.
But here is a tutorial on how to use your Stamparatus to do Circle Stamping!
If you have any questions- don't hesitate to contact me.

#1. First you are going to cut a 5 1/2" x5 1/2" card stock template.
Fold it in half & then in half again so that you have fold lines to line up the points of your square framelit.
This way you will have it perfectly centered.

#2. Using the LARGEST square in the Layering Squares Framelits- cut it out.

#3. It will look like this when it is cut.
NOTE:  SAVE this square you just cut out- it is what you are going to stamp on later.
#4. Then turn the square framelit, line up the fold marks & cut it again like this.
#5. It will then look like this.
#6.  You will have 4 of these little triangles that you throw away.
#7.  The first Whisper White Square you cut out- you save! This is what you will stamp your images onto.

#8.  Lay your CLEAN stamp image, with image side down, directly onto your card stock where you want to stamp.

#9.  Then shut the Stamparatus lid- so that your stamp image sticks to it.
#10.  Ink your stamp, shut plate & press onto card stock to make your flower image(s).
NOTE:  I like to use spots when I'm stamping with my Stamparatus.  You can use your big ink pad, but often you get ink onto the plate, so you'll then want to use your shammy to wipe it off.
#11.  Turn your card stock clockwise & stamp another flower.

NOTE:  Your card stock will fit perfectly into all points as you turn it one 'notch' each time you stamp you flower onto it.  Do you see the pattern on how to do it?  So you aren't ever moving your stamp, but you are moving your paper.

You can SAVE this square cut out template & use it over & over again!!
12.  This is what you are trying to achieve to accomplish!!!

NOTE:  Sometimes you have to 'play' with where you want to put your stamp image to start with.  Cut multiple white squares to try until you get the stamp in the right spot so that the flowers (or image you are using) aren't over lapping.  Once you get your stamp where you want it- you don't have to move it & you can just make multiples cards. You are all set to stamp over & over again!
Here is the stamp set I used to make the card.  It is called- 'Bouquet Blooms'.
And here is my finished card.
You can CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THIS CARD!
This is another card that I did the circle stamping on too with the leaves.

Yesterday was a busy day with Masen & Ainslee.  When they went home I worked on stamping stuff & Deke worked late in the field.  I made a late supper for him when he got in & we called it a night.  We were both beat.

This morning we are up early at 5:00 a.m to mark, sort & load hogs.  So I'll be a farmer helping Deke.  Sometime today I'll have Masen & Ainslee for awhile.  I have errands to run in town too.  Tonight I'll be a stamping fool!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Happy Stamping!

To Have & To Hold

This is an anniversary card that my demonstrator friend Lynda Wilson sent to us last month!  I love the layout & the colors of it.  She used the 'To Have & To Hold' set in the Occasions Catalog (pg. 12) for the words.  I love the font in this stamp set too!

The gorgeous rose DSP is from the Petal Promenade DSP in the Annual Catalog (pg. 190).  It is a photographic floral design.  Isn't it so realistic & pretty!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  We went outside for about 1 hour- but it was awful windy.  Last night we all got to the races & it rained just as they were starting, so they were cancelled.  We ate a quick supper with Manda, Steve & the boys & came home.  I burnt the midnight oil stamping.

This morning we are up early.  Deke is off to chore & head to Mount Pleasant for a meeting.  I'm up to work on stamping stuff until Masen & Ainslee get here.  I'll just have them today, as Manda is on Spring Break with her boys.

Tonight I'll be a stamping again!!  And if it dry enough for Deke to be in the field, then he will be pumping.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!
