Mojo Monday- FALL

Good morning!

It is a Mojo Monday sketch...... and I am thinking of FALL!

This is what I came up with.
I wanted to use something new from the Holiday Catalog.
I really like this new 'Wonderfall' stamp set & haven't had a chance to play with it much yet.

So here is the weeks Mojo Monday sketch......
AND here is the card I created using this sketch!
What do you think??
 'Wonderfall' & 'Fabulous Phrases'
cs:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Natural Ivory, Island Indigo
Orchard Harvest Designer Paper
ink:  Early Espresso & Island Indigo
supplies:  Big Shot, Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die, Woodgrain Embossing folder, Autumn Accents Bigz die, 1 3/8" square punch, Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon, Jewelry Tag punch, dimensionals, glue dots

We race in Osky tonight.
Nathan is 2nd in points & only behind by 4 points,
so it would be nice to come home with a win tonight.
Especially since tomorrow (Thursday) is his birthday!
What a nice present that would be!!
I'll have my fingers crossed that we have some good luck for a change.

The twins will be here all day today & spend the night tonight.
Since we get home so late from the races, it is just as easy to have them stay here than go home.
That way they will hopefully sleep in a little &
Manda & Steven won't have to get up in the middle of the night either.

They are still sick......yesterday was a long day.
Poor little guys!
We might be headed back to the dr. today too.
Brody has a rash all over him & they are still running fevers.
Will see what today brings.

Hope you have a fabulous day!!
Happy Stamping!
ENJOY!

'Fabulous You'

Good morning.....

Here is a pretty card that my downline Dawn Klein sent to me......check out all of the BLING!!  Love this PRETTY "girly card"!!  What a perfect saying that is so fitting to go with this stamp set!  Someone at Stampin' UP! was really thinking!  I just bought this stamp set, so now to find time for me to play with it & see what I come up with!

'Fabulous You'

ink:  Black Craft pad
markers:  Calypso Coral, Pretty in Pink, Lucky Limeade
supplies:  Big Shot, Snow Burst embossing folder- retired, Basic Rhinestones, Embossing Buddy, Black Embossing powder, Heat Tool

The dr. told me yesterday that the twins just have a virus- so we'll see.  Hope their fevers are gone & they slept better last night.  Not fun to have little ones that don't feel good.  He did give them some medicine for their runny noses & was thinking maybe they have allergies- which is a good possibility since their dad & I both have really bad allergies.  They will be here soon- so we'll see how they feel.

Lovin' the nice weather!!   All of the boys & I were outside yesterday morning & afternoon for awhile.

We sell hogs tonight.....and Steven & Josh will have to help us since they are from outside lots.  Then the guys will work in the shop on the race car for awhile- as we race in Osky tomorrow night.

Have a great day!!
Happy Stamping!
ENJOY!

A bouquet of flowers......

Good morning!
As promised here is my card with my perfect flat bow that I shared with you yesterday.  I love flowers & there are very bright & cheery!

I stamped the jar onto a window sheet using the Black Stazon ink pad.  Using the Cannery Set framelits I cut out the jar & the flowers!  From the Basic Pearls assortment I added the largest pearl to the center of each of the flowers!

I got these flowers on Sunday from Karen & Michele (my hostesses) at my stampin' party I had this past Sunday!!  It was their table centerpiece & they then sent them home with me.

Tying a PERFECT FLAT BOW!!!

Good morning!
Today I'm going to show you how to tie a perfect (FLAT) bow!
So simple!
For those that stamp with me- I know you agree.

  • Start with a piece of white card board from the back of your 12x12 designer paper pkgs.
  • Cut it to 2 1/4" x 4".
  • Measure the middle- 1 1/8" inch & mark it with your paper cutter.
  • Now take the word window punch & make a slit in the center where you marked it.
  •  Cut a piece of ribbon- 8" long
  • Lay your ribbon down & put your bow helper helper over the top of it.
  •  Wrap your ribbon around the bow helper & make an X.
  • Looking at the X that you made, you will now take the TOP piece of ribbon.
  • Pull it up & put down the back side of the word window slit.
  • Now pull it up through the bottom of the word window slit.
  • Make a cross & knot the 2 ends together.
  • As you are tightening the knot you will want to pull your tails downward.
  • Using your fingers go under the knot & tighten- shaping your bow.
  • Now trim the ends of your bow.
  • Slide your bow off of the top of your bow helper.
  • Turn it over so that the knot that was on the back now becomes the front of your bow.
  • AND you have a PERFECT FLAT BOW!
LOVE THIS!!

Do you want a smaller or a bigger bow?
Then just make your cardboard bow helper to be either narrower or wider.

Do you want long tails on your bow?
Then just cut your ribbon a longer or shorter length.

REMEMBER that if you make your bow helper narrower or wider then you will have to adjust the length of your ribbon too!

Be sure to stop by back by tomorrow & I'll show you a card
I created with my Daffodil Delight bow on it!

Have a great day!
Happy Stamping!
ENJOY!

A SIMPLE MoJo Monday sketch......

Good morning!  I was playing this morning in my studio & came up with this simple MoJo Monday Sketch that is going the other direction.

I so LOVE this stamp set.  It is so cool that it has framelits that coordinate with it.  And all though I love all of the images in this set, the MUG is my favorite.  I love hot drinks- whether it be coffee, hot chocolate, apple cider, etc.....so this stamp just makes me think of me!

'Scentsational Season' & 'Petite Pairs'
cs:  Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla
Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stacks (Chocolate Chip)
ink:  Chocolate Chip
supplies:  Big Shot, Holiday Collection Framelits, Crumb Cake Seam Binding ribbon, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (circle), Basic Pearls, dimensionals, glue dots

Busy day yesterday......I am trying to make the most of my time this week while I'm on "vacation".  It really isn't a vacation, but it is time off of work for me (as the Seeley family is in Florida visiting Steven's brother & family) & I am home for the first time in several years to catch up on things for me.  As usually when I'm on vacation I am taking time off for a SU! trip of some type & I'm never home to catch up on all of the little things that pile up!

This week I'm doing my fall cleaning!!!  I did our family room the other day......Yesterday I moved everything out of our bedroom, wiped down the walls, cleaned the carpets & then decided I was going to paint before I put everything back in.....so I made a quick trip to town to get some paint.  We sold 2 loads of hogs last night- but I painted one wall when we got in & before we went to bed.  I will finish the rest of the painting today & get everything put back in our room & organized before we go to bed tonight.  I love rearranging our rooms, as it is so fun to have things in different places & it is amazing how different the entire room looks!

OK- I'm off now for a quick hair cut & then back to work painting.......just wanted to leave you with a little stamping inspiration today.

Have a fabulous day!
Happy Stamping!
ENJOY!
