Yesterday was a great day of stamping with everyone!!  My hostess Kathy had a cute table decorated with an Easter tree & bunnies, along with some great snacks.  I want to give a shout out to Teri, Laura, Dena, Brooke, Jenny, Jan & Andrea for helping us to set up & clean up too!! I appreciate them more than they know!!

Last night I headed straight home from my class to meet Deke & Manda.  We all went to a friend- Joe Snakenberg's visitation.  There was a huge crowd & we saw lots of friends we hadn't seen for awhile.  Joe was killed in a semi accident last Monday, so please keep his family in your prayers.

This morning Deke is off to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to go pick up all of my boys & spend the day with all 4 of them.  I have some projects planned for us to get done this week.....as I promised Drake we'd do them this week!

Tonight after the boys go home I hope to get caught up on bookwork & placing orders!  Deke has a meeting tonight in Fairfield, so I'll be home alone.  Hopefully we can be in bed early (for us), as we have to get up really early tomorrow morning to load hogs again.

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a LONG day!  We started out bright & early with selling hogs.  I then picked up the boys for the day & we had soccer games.  They all did a great job & they have sure progressed in their skills since last year!! Drake & Brayden both scored.  And then burning the midnight oil last night cutting card stock.

This morning I'll finish getting things packed up & loaded in my car.  I'll be headed out to N. Liberty for my monthly stamp class there.  Kathy is our hostess this month.  We have a big group coming!  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone & sharing!  I've got some super cute cards with lots of Big Shot things & fun folds for them to do.  I'll share these cards later this month- as I don't want to spoil the fun for everyone yet this early in the month- as the rest of my monthly classes are later than normal this month due to me being gone to On Stage next weekend & then Easter.

I've gotta run......
I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!

Succulent Garden Designer paper!

WOW- look at all of the different stamps that would work on this card!  There were several different ones that everyone got to choose from!  I love it when there are so many great choices!  This way everyone can personalize their card for whatever they are needing it to say!
I chose the colors of this card to coordinate with this beautiful Succulent Garden Designer paper!
And check out the back side of the flower print on this dsp.....it is little line/dots!  So it was another choice that everyone got to make too!
And you know I love embellishments.....I thought that adding this ribbon along the edge just completed the card.

Here are the supplies & the measurements for this card-
stamp set:  'Stylized Birthday'
card stock:
  • Tip Top Taupe- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2; 3 1/3 x 3 1/4

  • Whisper White- 3x3; 4 x 5 1/4 (for inside)
designer paper:

Wow- we had a busy day yesterday with 2 little boys!  And then all 5 of them were here for awhile after school to play.

The races were cancelled last night, so we went out for supper at the new Mexican place in Sigourney with all of our family!  And then Sarah got a cake & Manda got ice cream & we all went out to Nathan & Sarah's to visit & play with the kids.

It was a short night......as Deke & I are up & outside on the farm at 4:00 this morning- to mark, sort & load hogs.  I have to be at the Seeley's as soon as I'm done helping Deke with the pigs, as today is soccer picture day.  Seeley Photography is taking the photos- so their 3 boys will be with me today!  Deke & I will take the twins in for their pictures at 10 & then they have a soccer game at 10:30.  Brayden has pictures at 11 & then he has a soccer game at 11:30.  We'll be there to watch all boys play at their soccer games.

When the boys go home later this afternoon I'll be a busy bee cutting card stock!!  Tomorrow is my monthly class in N. Liberty!  I have some cute cards for this months classes!  And I can't wait to see everyone & share!

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

Happy Anniversary to us!!

Wow- today Deke & I are celebrating our 33rd Anniversary!  It doesn't seem like it has been that many years ago.  We make a great team!!  We are truly blessed!!  He is my best friend- the one I live for, laugh with & love much!  We were best friends before we were ever more than that.  I've known him since I was 5 years old!

This card is one that everyone made at my 'All Occasions' Card Classes.  I love the simple elegance of it!!!  This is a true Susie style card.  I thought it was fitting that I share it today.
Gray is a neutral color & is always a good one to use.  (It was actually one of our wedding colors!)

Did you notice how I shadow stamped the flowers onto the Smoky Slate (gray) background piece on the front of the card to give it dimension? And then I added the rhinestones, lace doily, silver foil & Silver metallic ribbon to make it elegant & give it bling!

Here are the supplies & the measurements for this card-
stamp sets:  'So In Love' & 'Falling in Love'
card stock:
  • Thick Whisper White- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2- card base

It was late last night when Masen left.  Deke, Nathan & Brayden worked in the shop on the race car.  After everyone was gone I spent the rest of my night stamping away!

We have an early morning & busy day today!  I'm off to go pick up all of the boys this morning.  I'll take Brayden, Brody & Drake to school & spend my day with Trey & Masen.

Tonight......not sure what we are doing.  We are planning to go to the races, but if they get rained out, we'll just go out for supper with all of our family & come home to cut card stock!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!

'In The Meadow'- a great guy card!

This is another one of the cards that I designed for my 'All Occasions' Card Classes.

Check out the leaves on this tree!  How did I do them?
  • I used a pencil eraser!! (Make sure you use a brand new pencil eraser so that it is perfectly round & clean.)
  • I used the pencil eraser just like it was a stamp.  I inked it up by putting it into my Garden Green ink pad.
  • And then pushed it onto the card stock/over the tree branches to make the leaves!!
  • I stamped with the inked eraser 3-4 times (shadow stamping) to get the darker to lighter shades of the Garden Green.
So what do you think?  Isn't it a great guy card!  I thought it could be used for many different occasions.

Here are the supplies & the measurements that I used to make this card-
stamp sets:  'In the Meadow' & 'Wetlands'
card stock:
  • Early Espresso- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", 2 1/2" strip, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2"
  • Garden Green- 2" strip, 4 1/4 x 3 1/4"
  • Whisper White- 2" strip, 3 1/4 x 2 1/4", 4 x 5 1/4" (for the inside of the card)
ink:  Garden Green & Chocolate Chip
other:  1 3/4" Circle Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Dimensionals,
And a NEW (never used) Pencil (to use the eraser to make the dots for the leaves)

I enjoyed my day with Trey yesterday.  I think he likes being alone with Grandma- as that doesn't happen too often.  Brayden & the twins were here for awhile after school too.  The boys played outside for awhile (even though it was chilly).  After they were all gone home, I worked on stamping stuff all evening.

This morning I am off to go pick up all of my boys!  We'll take Brayden to school, run some errands in town & then head out to our house for the day.  Deke is home to work on the farm all day today, so it will be nice to have him home to eat lunch with us.  Tonight when the boys go home I'll be a stamping fool!

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!

I  have lots of stamping stuff to get unloaded from my car & put away today!  And Susie's Hair Hut is open for business this afternoon too, as Nathan is in desperate need of a hair cut & shave.

I have some special thanks to send out......
I want to give a big shout out to Ruth for all her help setting up & cleaning up yesterday.  She is always my helper for all of my classes in Hiawatha & I couldn't do it without her!!  We got it all set up & ready with a few minutes to spare before the doors opened up.

Yesterday was a full day with all of my boys!  Drake & Brody love creating!!  I'd hate to guess how much tape & how many zip lock baggies Drake used.  But I love that they are learning to read & write.  Their creativity & skills amaze me!

Brayden was here after school too!  The boys played outside for a little while, even though it was windy & cold.  When the Seely boys left, I took Brayden out to ride in the tractor a couple of rounds with Papa.  When the boys were all gone, I burnt the midnight oil cutting card stock!!  And Deke burnt the midnight oil working in the field.

This morning Deke is off to chore & he'll work in the field until it starts raining.  I'm off to go pick up the boys.  I'll take the twins to pre-school & spend my day with Trey & Masen.  When the boys leave tonight I'll be cooking, getting things finished up & load my car- so that I'm ready to head out early tomorrow morning for Hiawatha!!!  I'm excited about my big day of stamping with everyone!!

I spent about 4 1/2 hours in SE yesterday picking up & packing up everything from Saturday's class.
When I got home I worked on getting things sorted & repacked for this coming Saturday's "All Occasions" card class in Hiawatha

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to go pick up my boys.  I'll take the twins to pre-school.  And then Trey, Masen & I will run errands- recycling center, bank, etc.

Tonight is Mexican supper for Moms at school, sponsored by the PEO.  So Manda, Brody, Drake, Sarah, Brayden & I will all be going together.  I think the guys & 2 little boys are going to get together & order a pizza from Casey's for their supper.

When I get home tonight I'm going to cut card stock!!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

I enjoyed my day with Trey yesterday.  We ran errands after we dropped the twins of at pre-school.  Trey's favorite was going to H&M to see the fish swimming in the big tank.  We did have an eventful morning to say the least.....as my fuel filters on my car started leaking when I stopped to fill it up with gas.  (And my car had just been serviced earlier this week.)  Then my car wouldn't start again.....so I had to call Deke to come back to town to get me.  And we called his friend Terry (that owns a wrecker), to come get my car & take it to the shop to get it fixed.

After Trey went home yesterday afternoon, Deke & I went to SE & set up tables, chairs & some of the projects.  We stopped to pick up my car again.  And then we came home & got all of the food stuff ready.  I burnt the midnight oil finishing up cutting everything for today's class.

I'm off to load the car soon & will be heading out early this morning, so I can finish getting everything setting up & ready for my big event!!

I can't wait to spend my day stamping with so many friends!
Gotta run....
I hope you have SUPER Saturday!
Happy Stamping!

'Make a Medallion'- Sale-a-bration stamp set!

This is a beautiful stamp set!  It is a Sale-a-bration choice, that is available only until March 31st, 2017!  AND it can be yours for free as one of the choices you get to make when you place a $50 product order!!  CONTACT ME to find out more information on how you can get this stamp set!

This pretty card is one that everyone joining me for my March monthly classes got to make!!  It is a fun door fold card!  I think that the Lace Doily behind the circle medallion just really makes it so elegant.

This 'Make a Medallion' set is a 2 step stamp set.  This is where you stamp one image first & then layer another image over the top of it.  Do you see the 2 different shades of Watermelon Wonder ink on the stamped Medallion here?

How did I do it?  This technique is called- Shadow Stamping-
  •  I stamped the pointed edge medallion image first using Watermelon Wonder ink.
  • I then inked the circle ended medallion into my Watermelon Wonder ink & stamped it off onto my grid paper
  • I then lined it up with the pointed medallion & stamped it over the top of the darker pointed edge medallion image!
See how I attached the front piece of Watermelon Wonder card stock to the left front flap only, using dimensionals.  This is what the card looks like from a top image as I'm starting to open it up.  See how both sides fold out- making a door fold card.
This is what it looks like when it is opened all the way up!
This is just such a pretty card!!

Notice how I added a 1" Circle Punch to the center of the medallion, plus ribbon & a tag made using the Classic Label punch.

Here are the measurements & the supplies that I used:

Medallion card-
'Make a Medallion'- #143274- Sale-a-bration- FREE with a $50 order
'All Things Thanks'- #143309(w)= $27.00 or #143097 (c)= $19.00- OC- pg. 35 (for inside words)

  • #100730- Whisper White N (40)= $9.00- pg. 170- 4 x 5 1/4 ; 2 3/4" strip, 1" strip
  • #140272- Thick White (24)= $7.00- pg. 175-
- This Thick White is the card base cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  You then score 2 1/8" from each end!

A clean & simple 'Beautiful You'

WOW- this is a very popular stamp set!  And it is just really neat!!  Every single stamp in the set is awesome!!

Check out my card here.....what woman wouldn't want to get this clean & simple card?

The words I used here are some of my favorites......and if you've ever been to our home, I have several plaques & wall decor in different rooms that say- Live, Laugh, Love!

This card is one of the cards I created for my upcoming 'All Occasions' card classes that I have coming up!

I did paper piecing on the dress that is shown here, using the Watermelon Wonder from the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack.  I stamped the lady onto a strip of 3 x 1 1/2" designer paper & then used my paper snips & fussy cut it out.

Did you notice the little flower I added to her dress, at her shoulder?  For it I used the small flower that is in the Tree Builder Punch.  I then added a little pearl to the center of this little flower & attached it to the dress using a Glue Dot!
And check out all of these different options that everyone gets to choose to make!

Which one is your favorite one?  I think that the polka dot one is my favorite one!

This morning I'm off to go pick up the boys.  Deke is going to follow me to town, as I have an appointment to get my oil changed in my car.  We'll take it to the shop & then head back out to our house.  Deke will go chore & be back in a noon to eat lunch with all of us.  Tonight when the boys go home I'll be burning the midnight oil again cutting card stock!

I hope you have a very special Thursday!!

'Balloon Adventures'

Here is a sneak peek!  It is a bright & cheerful card, that is one I created for my upcoming 'All Occasions' card classes.

Check out the balloons & the candle punch along the bottom!
I cut little 1x 1/4" strips of the Daffodil Delight card stock & put on the back side of the candle punch, so that my candles would have a yellow flame.

This is clean & simple, but it is so cute!

stamp set:  'Balloon Adventures'
card stock:  Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango
ink:  Black Memento
other:  Black Journaling Pen (for the balloon strings), Triple Banner Punch, Candle Border Punch, Dimensionals, Balloon Bouquet Punch
