Marbeled Elegance heart note card

This is cute little note card.

I actually made this as a project for my team cabin retreat I hosted last Fall.

Isn't it cute!

 

I used the

 #16491- Hearts of Elegance Dies= $36.00 (low inventory now)

 #16491- Marbled Elegance 12x12 Specialty DSP= $16.50

#164920- Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins= $8.50 (currently out of stock until March)

 #162563- Adoring Hearts stamp set= $20.00

#16428- Hang An Ornament stamp set= $17.00= $1530  Last Chance

 

How did I do it?

*I used these 4 heart dies

*Die cut 2 of the largest heart

*Score 1/2" along the top edge of one of the hearts.

*Add adhesive along the top 2 edges, above the scored line- as shown.

*Now put the top heart over the top of the bottom heart.

The heart that is scored, now becomes the card base.

 

*I added a die cut Basic White card to the inside to stamp my words onto.

 

*I die cut one heart of the DSP & then cut the other heart out of the center of it.

Doing this shows off both side of the DSP & saves paper!

card stock:

• Melon Mambo- 4 1/4" x 8 1/2"- die cut 2 large hearts
• Basic White- 1 3/4" strip- die cut small heart & stamp words onto for card front
• Basic White- 3 1/4" strip- die cut heart & stamp words onto for inside of card
  

designer paper:  Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP-

• 3" strip- die cut heart using the 2nd to largest die; then die cut the 3rd to largest die inside the heart you just cut & FLIP it over to use the backside.  **Die cutting the hearts this way shows off both side of the DSP & saves paper!!

This is actually the card I made for Amanda for her birthday a few months ago.

I  just love the way it turned out!

It is a totally Susie card.

 

I also created this card as a swap with some other demo friend in November.

And I totally forgot about posting it.

I've had this card sitting on my shelf in our kitchen & many of you

that have stamped with me the past few months have commented about how you like it.

So I plan to do a card using the Double Diamond Fun Fold card layout at my February class.

How did I do the Pleated Curtain Fun Fold?

*3 x 6" DSP- score at 2 3/4"; 3 1/4"; 4 1/4" & 4 3/4"

Then diagonally cut from the top right edge at 1"- downward to the bottom 

at the 2 3/4" score mark.

I maximized my DSP by cutting my 6x6" DSP into 4- 3x3" squares.

I then cut each 3" square into 1x3" strips & layered them onto card stock.
