A Stitched Season Weaved Cards

Check out these 2 cute weaved background cards!
I love the way they turned out!
 
Which do you like better?
THIS- left with Real Red card base
OR
THAT- right with Peaceful Pine card base
 
How did I do it? 
*Cut 11 designer paper strips that are 1/2 x 6"-
6 of them are the green pattern & 5 of them are red pattern
*Add Tear & Tape around the 4 edges of a 4 x 5 1/4" Basic White CS & then put 2 strips down the center as shown in the photo above.
*Put your strips onto the edges like shown in the above photo.
* Fold over & attach the 5 strips that are vertical as shown in the photo.
*Then weave the 6 strips- going over & under.
This is what the weaved background looks like.
I adhered one on a Real Red card base & one on a Peaceful Pine card base.
This card has the Real Red card base & layering.
Here are the supplies & measurements.
stamp set:  'Stitched Stocking' (words)
card stock:
  • Real Red or Peaceful Pine- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4" & fold for card base
  • Basic White- 4 x 5 1/4"- add Tear & Tape to the backside of this & adhered DSP strips to weave
  • Real Red or Peaceful Pine- 3 1/2" strip- die cut label using Beautifully Celebrated Dies
  • Basic White- 3" strip- stamp words onto & die cut label using Beautifully Celebrated Dies
  • Real Red- 3" strip- die cut Poinsettia
  • Peaceful Pine- 3" strip- die cut leaves for Poinsettia
  • Basic White- 1" strip- die cut center of Poinsettia
  • Basic White- 3 1/2 x 4 3/4"- for inside of card 
designer paper:  A Stitched Season DSP-
  • 5 strips of red DSP- each 1/2 x 6"
  • 6 strips of green DSP- each 1/2 x 6"
ink:  Real Red or Peaceful Pine
other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine; Pretty Poinsettia Dies; Beautifully Celebrated Dies; Tear & Tape; Peaceful Pine ribbon; dimensionals; glue dots
