Bloom Where You're Planted DSP- Simple Saturday

WOOHOO!
It is Simple Saturday!!
Check out today's card.
I created it with the awesome Bloom Where You're Planted DSP.

This is one of the DSP packs that are on sale right now!

There isn't much stamping on this card.
It is clean & simple & I just love it!
It is my favorite fold- a fun 'z fold'!

I fussy cut out the plant & pot with my scissors.
And the stemmed circular plants are all just a piece of DSP!
I did cut a slit in the pot top so that I could slide the plant stems down into it.

Here are the measurements & supplies.

stamp set:  'Plentiful Plants'
card stock:
  • Garden Green- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"- for z fold card base

A Fun Fold with Floral Squares

 Wow- how fun this is!
I love the way it turned out!
Check out this fun fold card I made!
I LOVE the plaid black & white DSP!
It is from the Pattern Party hostess DSP on page 171 in the Annual Catalog.
This is what it looks like when opened up!!
Neat huh!

You can CLICK below to see some other cards I have done with this similar fold.

Notice what it looks like from the front when open & standing up.
As the 2 plaid bottom corners are the pieces I diagonally cut off of the top 2 corners.

How did I do this?
I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score my DSP.

1.  DSP measures- 5 1/4 x 12"- score at 2, 4, 8 & 10"

2.  Using your Paper Trimmer diagonal cut the corner off of both ends, by putting your corner at the 2 3/4" mark in the middle of the 5 1/4" side & make a diagonal cut upward to your 2" score line.  Then you need to do the same thing on the other corner/side too! BE SURE YOU SAVE THE TRIANGLE YOU CUT OFF, as you'll use it later!

3.  This is what it looks like when you cut off the corner.

4.  Notice how both corners are cut off.  Now fold on all of the scored line
5.  The 2 pieces of diagonal cuts of the plaid DSP NOW get adhered on the bottom corners of the front of your card like this.
 6.  Check it out when it folded shut!!
Here are the measurements & supplies.

stamp set:  'All Squared Away' (words)
card stock:
  • Basic Black- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"- for card base
  • Basic Black- 2 1/2 x 2 1/2"
  • Basic White- 2 x 2"
  • Old Olive- Die cut Flowers/stems/square from 2 1/2" strip
  • Bumblebee- 1 1/4" strip- die cut 2 flowers
  • Basic White-  1/2 x 2"- stamp words for outside card front
  • Basic White- 3 3/4 x 5"- for inside of card
designer paper:  Pattern Party- DSP-  5 1/4 x 12"- score 2, 4, 8 & 10"
ink:  Memento
other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine; Floral Square Dies; dimensionals; glue dots; Matte Black Dots; Playful Pets Trim (Black & White Twine); Simply Scored Scoring Tool

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!

Seascape Bundle meets Picture This Dies!

 WOW!!!!
This is not a Susie card at all- but it is very pretty!
And I like the way it turned out.

There is a lot going on here.
I just got the 'Seascape Bundle' yesterday & made this card
last night when I got the kids to bed.
I just kept adding to it & I do like the end results.
This is not a card that you'd want to make too many of,
as it was rather time consuming.

I have been wanting to use the 5 circles in the Picture This Dies.
So that is what I started out with when I was creating!
I used a piece of 3 3/4 x 5" Expressions In Ink DSP
& cut it out with the Picture This Dies (circles).
I then cut some more circles out with this die- using Pool Party & Just Jade card stock.
Inside these various circles I stamped bubbles, words & sea grass
& then adhered these all to a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8" Just Jade card stock piece.

I cut the big fish out of some Expressions In Ink DSP &
I also cut it out of some Gold Foil too.
I punched out the fin pieces from the DSP,
but I added a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the back side of the Gold Foil
so that the fin pieces would stay all together.
I then adhered the DSP fish directly over the top of the Gold Foil fish,
carefully using Tombo Glue & a sponge.
NOTE:  I did NOT remove the back side of the Adhesive Sheet.
I left it on & put dimensionals on it, so that the fish was popped up.

And I guess I couldn't stop....I then die cut a coral of the Gold Foil too.
I cut this in sections & adhered it over 2 of the circles.
This is a fun z fold card....so the front of the card folds backward.

So what do you think of it?

NOTE:  This GORGEOUS Expressions In Ink DSP has not been orderable.
But it is now back in stock!!
WOO HOO!

Here are the supplies & measurements.
stamp set:  'Seascape' & 'Artistically Inked' (words)
card stock:
  • Evening Evergreen- 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 2 3/4" & 5 1/5" & fold to make a z fold card base
  • Gold Foil- 4 x 5 1/4"
  • Just Jade- 3 7/8 x 5 1/8"
  • Evening Evergreen- scraps- die cut 2 little fish
  • Pool Party- scraps- die cut some stitched circles from the Picture This Dies.
  • Just Jade- scraps- die cut some stitched circles from the Picture This Dies.
  • Gold Foil- 3 1/4" strip- Die cut large fish
  • Evening Evergreen- scrap I adhered to back side of big fish so that his eye & mouth were dark green
  • Gold Foil- 3" strip- die cut coral
designer paper:  Expressions In Ink-
  • 3 3/4 x 5"
  • 3 1/4" strip- die cut large fish
ink:  Just Jade & Evening Evergreen
other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine; Picture This Dies; Sea Life Dies; dimensionals; glue dots;
Metallic Pearls (Gold); Simply Elegant Trim (Gold Cord for bow); Adhesive Sheets

I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

I combined it with the Beauty of the Earth DSP & created this pretty card.

NOTE:  This DSP is on SALE NOW!
Look how I used some Beauty of the Earth DSP strips & put into
the Picture This (window) Dies.
I cut the tree out of Early Espresso card stock.
I think cut the tree top out of DSP & glued it directly over the tree die (top).
Here are the supplies & measurements.
stamp set: 'Beauty of Friendship'
card stock:
  • Old Olive- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4" for card base

This is a fun fold card.
Check out how I made it pointed on both ends!

Looks closely at this piece to see how you attach these inside flaps!
The 2 red flaps go on this top fold.

so that you have enough room to add the center one.

You then open the card all the way up & add the blue flap

Stampin' Up! Sweet Symmetry DSP

Look at this gorgeous pinwheel card!!
I LOVE IT!
This is a totally Susie card.

I used the Sweet Symmetry DSP!
This Sweet Symmetry DSP & few others, are on SALE right now.

How did I make this pinwheel?
  • Bumblebee CS- 2 pieces 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"
  • Night of Navy- 2 pieces 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"
  • DSP- Bumblebee- 4 pieces 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"
  • DSP- Night of Navy- 4 pieces 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"
  • I used the Tombo Multipurpose Glue so that I could put down my square & quickly move it so that is was straight & then pressed down into place.  As the liquid glue is very permanent & I love it.  It also gives you a second to move or slide your square to line it up.

1.  Start in the corner & add adhesive onto only a triangle back side part of the DSP, so that you can slide the last DSP piece under it to complete the pinwheel when you get to the end.

2.  I started out in one corner using the Night of Navy DSP square.  This is the one that I only added adhesive to the backside of the inside part of the triangle- so that I can slide the last square under it when I get to the end.

3.  I went all the way around adding each square- alternating colors & direction of them.  Use your grid paper & the center point of the 'triangle' for the Bumblee DSP.  Continue alternating colors & direction with every other color- going all the way around the big Night of Navy CS square.  You can see by the photo below how the first Night of Navy DSP square only had glue on a triangle half of it- so that I could slide the last Bumblebee DSP under it.

4.  Notice how the first Night of Navy DSP needs adhesive now added to it & stuck down to complete the pinwheel!

5.  It is now all done!

This is what it looks like opened up!
 So what do you think?
Are you ready to make a pinwheel?
Here are the measurements & supplies.
