WOW- the NEW 2018-2020 In Colors!!

Oh wow- here is a card I made for a class last week to show off the NEW 20180-2020 In Colors!!

This card has something old & something new both used on it!

The layout is a weave that my demonstrator friend LeeAnn shared.  When I saw the layout I knew then that I was going to use it with the New In Colors. And I sure think this card turned out so cute!

This layout is a great way to use up your 1/2" scraps!  Are you a saver or a thrower?  If you are a saver- you are set to go!  If you are a thrower, you'll just have to cut some 1/2" strips to weave!
The 'Stylized Birthday' stamp set here is RETIRING!  It is a single stamp!  And it is such a great stamp!  I have used it alot & I'll miss it!  It was my "go to stamp" when I needed a larger birthday font.

The stars came from the 'Confetti Celebration' stamp set & it is RETIRING too!  I also used the words from this stamp set in the inside of the card too.  Again- this is a favorite stamp set of mine that I'll miss.  I have sure used it alot over the years!

The stitching along the In Color strips I did was super easy!  I just used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and free handed it.

So which is your favorite NEW In Color?  I like them all!  I am honestly probably the most excited though about the Blueberry Bushel, as we really need a blue card stock like this!
  • Call Me Clover- green
  • Blueberry Bushel- blue
  • Pineapple Punch- yellow
  • Grapefruit Grove- peach
  • Lovely Lipstick-red
Here are the supplies & the measurments that I used-

stamp set:  'Stylized Birthday' & 'Confetti Celebration'- BOTH are RETIRING!
card stock:
  • Grapefruit Grove- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2- fold in half for card base- NEW
  • Grapefruit Grove- 1/2 x 5 1/2" strip- NEW
  • Call Me Clover- 1/2 x 5 1/2" strip- NEW
  • Blueberry Bushel- 1/2 x 5 1/2" strip-NEW
  • Pineapple Punch- 1/2 x 5 1/2" strip- NEW
  • Lovely Lipstick- 1/2 x 5 1/2" strip- NEW
  • Basic Black- 5 1/8 x 3 7/8"
  • Whisper White- 2 3/4" strip- cut out circle
  • Whisper White- 5 x 3 3/4"- for outside of card
  • Whisper White- 5 x 3 3/4"- for inside of card
ink:  Archival Basic Black- RETIRING!
marker:  Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
other: Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Stitched Framelits (Large Circle), Dimensionals

Yesterday was a busy day!!  It started out with all 6 kids!  We made it to school, just as the first bell was ringing.  I then came home & spent my day with the 3 little ones.  The weather was chilly, wet & windy- so we didn't get to play outside much.  We did go out for a bit in the afternoon & had my niece, Stephanie, her husband, Chris & their 2 kids- Katie & Henry, here to visit & play with the boys.  It was WONDERFUL to get to see them, as we hadn't seen them for almost a whole year, as they live in Pennsylvania.

Manda picked up her 3 boys after she got off of work.  And we had Masen & Ainslee here for the evening with us.  After we took the kids home I picked up toys, answered a few emails , did my post & called it a night.

This morning we are up early & off for a busy day!!  I'm cooking food & getting ready to head out the door to my sister Beckie's.  We are having a Mother's Day brunch with my side of the family this morning.  We are also squeezing in a couple of soccer games too.  Then tonight we will have supper with Deke's family, so we can all get to see some of our Pennsylvania family that is here visiting.

I hope you have a SPECIAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a busy day!  Ainslee has a red throat & sinus infection, so went to the dr & is on medicine.  We played outside for awhile in the morning.  The boys were having fun with the bubble machine!

Last night we picked back up Brody & Drake & took them with us to Brayden's ball game.  His team won again.  It was late & past bed times by the time we got home.

This morning we are all up early & headed out.  Deke is off to chore & head to an early meeting.  Manda & Nathan both have early meetings too- so I'll have all 6 kids- bright & early this morning.  I'll feed them all breakfast & then take the 3 big boys to school.  I'll bring the 3 little ones home with me to spend our day together.  My nieces are back in Iowa from Pennsylvania for the weekend, so they are coming down to visit this morning so that the kids can play outside.  I'm looking forward to seeing them & getting to visit.

Tonight I have Masen & Ainlee.  And I have lots of stamping to get done.  So we'll see how it all goes.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!

I love it, as it has a coordinating Vase Builder punch (for flowers, leaves & vases) that goes with the stamp set.

I used some old & new products both here!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  We played outside for quite awhile in the morning.  And then I had hoped to get them all to nap at the same time- but that sure didn't happen.

We all went to Osky to the races last night!  Nathan got 2nd in his heat & he won the main!

This morning I'm headed to town to get the boys, take them to school & then spend my day again with the 3 little ones.  The 3 big boys will be here after school.

Our nieces & family are in Iowa from Pennsylvania for a few days.  I am hoping we'll get to see them & spend time with them sometime today & tomorrow.

Tonight we are headed to Ainsworth to watch Brayden play in his ballgame.

I hope you have a special Thursday!!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  It was warm out, but super windy, so we didn't get to go out, as I thought it was too bad for Ainslee to be out in.  Then last night we went to Brayden's first baseball game of the year in Riverside.  His team looked good & won!

This morning I'm off early to town, as Manda has an early morning meeting.  I'll take the boys to school & then spend my day with the 3 little ones.

Deke is off early this morning to chore, head to the courthouse for a bit & then onto to Mt. Pleasant for a meeting there.

Tonight we are all headed to Osky to the races!!  I hope the weather cooperates with us for tonight, so that we get to race tonight.  We'll be going to cheer on Nathan & prays that he has good luck!

This is one of the Make & Takes I made last month when I went to Milwaukee to On Stage.  Of course, those of you that know me, know I changed it from the sample card.  I always use the supplies I'm suppose to, but I rearrange & change things- as I'm not good at copying a card.  I just like to make it my own style.

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Trey & I ran a few errands yesterday morning, after we dropped of the twins at school.  Sarah brought Masen & Ainslee as soon as I got home.  The 3 big boys rode the bus out after school, so it was good to see them.  After everyone left, I worked on stamping stuff all night.  And Deke worked late on the farm.

This morning we are both up early & headed out the door, as we are selling hogs.   Hopefully the semi is on time & all goes smoothly there.  I'll help Deke with the pigs & then spend my day with the 2 little ones- Masen & Ainslee.  Tonight the guys have talked about going racing.  We'll see how the weather is & how everyone's day goes.  I will be home stamping tonight- getting ready for my May classes, as I have my first one of the month on Sunday with my N. Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  I went to an old employee's visitation last night.  And was then headed to the races, but didn't make it that far.  Due to the storms we had, the races were cancelled for last night.  So I went home & waited for Deke to get back with the truck/trailer/race car.  And we went to Osky to do a night deposit & get a few things at Walmart.  I worked on sorting orders & doing bookwork for awhile when we got home.

This morning I'm up & headed out to pick up the boys.  I'll take the twins to school & spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Tonight the 3 big boys will ride the bus here.  When everyone is gone I'll be working on stamping stuff all night.

Current Update Details from Stampin' Up!

Tuesday, May 01, 2018

Old-Design Ink Pad Availability

In addition to a new lineup of colors, we've also redesigned our ink pads this year. With so much change, we wanted to make sure demonstrators and your customers are aware of some important dates and how you'll be affected.
  • Through May 7: Old-design Classic Stampin' Pads are guaranteed to be available for purchase through May 7. If an ink pad goes on backorder during this time, the order will be fulfilled.
  • After May 7: Old-design Classic Stampin' Pads (both retiring and carryover) will no longer be guaranteed and will be available while supplies last.
    • Once a retiring colors run out of stock, the old-design ink pad item numbers will be shut off.
    • To ensure ongoing availability of colors that are carrying over, we will turn on new-design ink pad item numbers when we run out of stock on old-design ink pads. (Important note: New-design ink pads are priced slightly differently than old-design ink pads; please keep the new pricing in mind when ordering new-design ink pads.)

How you will know which ink pad you're ordering?
    • For Demonstrators placing orders- If an old-design ink pad runs out of stock, you will receive a message in Order Entry Express asking if you would like to order the new-design ink pad (in the same color) instead.
    • For Customers placing an Online Ordering- If the old-design ink pad runs out of stock, you (as a customer) need to contact me (your demonstrator) asking what to do if the old-design ink pad has sold out on a carryover color- as I need to then give you the new-design ink pad item code so you can finish your order.
Don't hesitate to CONTACT ME with any questions or help you may need on this matter.

Happy Birthday to Brayden!! And a NEW Catalog Sneak Peek!

Awhhhh.......it is so much fun playing with NEW products!  Check out these awesome alphabet edgelits that will be available on June 1st in the NEW Annual Catalog.  They are called the Layering Alphabet Edgelits.

This is card that I created for my Spring Fling I had last weekend.  I had all of the letters cut for everyone & they just had to do a little stamping & then assemble it.  It was a cool thing to share!  And I think everyone liked it.

And this is also the card that Brayden got last night at his birthday party from Grandma & Papa.  Today he is actually 10 years old!!  I can't believe it.  Where does the time go?  He loved his card (& probably the money in it more).  I created this card using these colors with him in mind!
The Tempting Turquoise color I used here is retiring!  Have you stocked up on it if it is one of the colors that you want to continue to use?

stamp set:  'Confetti Celebration'-RETIRING
card stock:  Tempting Turquoise-RETIRING, Pool Party, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay
ink: Pacific Point
other:  Bit Shot, Magnetic Platform, Layering Alphabet Edgelits- NEW on June 1st, Classic Label Punch, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
Check it out!  I cut out the "Y" by itself like this.   I just had to snip the top left corner with my Paper Snips, so that we could have it separate & adhere it to the front of the word.
And this is what the framelit set itself looks like that cuts out the V shape with the alphabet connected to it.  The letters just hook into the slots.  It is pretty cool!!  They lined up perfectly when I used a 3x3 of card stock to cut it from.
I also wanted to share an old Crimpled Paper technique that I did when I first stamping over 18 years ago.  Back then we didn't have the Big Shot- so we created our background with ink.
How did I do i?
  • I just took a 3x3 piece of typing paper
  • scrunched it up
  • pushed it into my ink pad
  • & then stamped it onto my paper!
It just gives a textured look & some added depth & dimension to the card.
You'll have to give this 'old' & fun crimpled paper technique a try!
++++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with Masen & Ainslee.  Brody & Brayden were here after school.  We all then went to Nathan & Sarah's home for supper to celebrate Brayden's 10th birthday.

This morning I'm off to town to get the boys, take the twins to school & spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Deke is home work on the farm all day.  Tonight when everyone is gone home I have lots of stuff to get unpacked & put away from my Spring Fling class I had this past weekend.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
And Happy May Day!!!
I'm gonna make May Day baskets with the boys- so hope that goes well & is fun!

Happy Stamping!
