Decorated with Happiness

 This is one of my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack class cards!

Everyone joining me to stamp at my classes this month will be making this.

 

I think it is an elegant traditional holiday card.

It is just a gorgeous monochromatic card.

 

I used the 'Decorated with Happiness' Bundle, 

along with the Sweetest Christmas DSP!

Check out how I embossed the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder

onto the Garden Green cardstock!

 

 How did I stamp the pines?

• I inked the pines up with my Garden Green ink pad.
• Stamp full strength.
• Lift, slightly move & stamp again.
• Lift, slightly move & stamp again.

This is called shadow stamping & gives more dimension

& character to make the pines look more full & natural.

Snowflakes

This is the Snowflake Specialty Vellum DSP- #159832= $10.00 

pg. 40 in the Holiday Catalog.

There are 6 sheets (2 each) of 3 designs.

3 sheets are iridescent & 3 sheets are white flocking.

 

The words & the snowflakes are from the 

'Joyful Flurry' stamp set- #159804= $22.00

 These 2 cards are exactly the same card, but just different colors.

One of them is the card everyone will be making at my

Soft Seedlings

 Check it out........

Here is another baby wipe technique card using the 'Soft Seedlings' stamp set.

What a fun way to make a gorgeous fall card!

 

I added some Rustic Harvest DSP strips

and the colored some rhinestones with my Bronze Stampin' Blend.

How did I do the baby wipe technique when stamping the leaves?

• I folded a baby wipe in quarters & put inside a clear case. 
• Then add drops of ink refill onto it. 
• I used Old Olive, Crushed Curry & Cajun Craze. 
• Then press stamp into the baby wipe- using this as your ink pad. 
• Stamp leaves around edges of Basic White card stock. 
• You will have to re-ink your stamp each time you stamp to get the best leaf image.
  

NOTES:

I took this photo about 1/2 hour after I had put the ink refill drops onto the baby wipe. 

They have all ran together above.

BUT when you put them onto the baby wipe originally you'll have dots with spaces into between them.

You'll be able to make several cards out of just one baby wipe.

Since I'll be doing this at a class, I'll have to make NEW baby wipes several times.

As when the colors bleed too much it then starts to look muddy & the colors aren't as true & vibrant!

The inspiration for this card came from a swap that I got from another demonstrator, but it didn't have a name on it for me to give her credit.

Card Folio

 

I used the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack

to make these 2 cards, along with the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set!

But check out the CUTE Card Folio I made to put them in!

Isn't this such a neat holder for cards.

I have made various kinds of these over the years.

I think it just adds to make your gift special if you can put it into a card keeper!

This Card Folio is actually thick enough you could add about 

3-4 cards/envelopes on each side, depending on how thick your cards are.

These Memories & More cards measure 4 1/4 x 6 1/4"- 

so are a little bigger than our normal standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" card.

You could add ribbon to hold your Card Folio shut, but I chose not to add any closure.

Mine just closes & stays shut just like a book does.

 How did I make the Card Folio?

• card stock- 8 1/2 x 11" 
• On long side you score it at 5 1/4 & 5 3/4". 
• On short side you score it at 6 3/4"
• Fold on scored lines
• Make a "V" cut out in the bottom center as shown in the photo below.
• Add Tear & Tape to the bottom outside edges to make the pockets.

Here is a pattern!

And this is what it looks like when folded & the pocket is attached down.

 

NOTE:  

If you are making one of theses Card Folio's for our standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" cards- 

you could score the bottom at 6 1/2" instead to make it a little deeper pocket.
