card stock:  Basic Black, Real Red, Basic Gray

This morning I'm off to spend the day with Manda.  We are taking the boys to see Dr. Mary, as the twins have their 5 year old check ups & physicals for pre-school.  Tonight when I get home I 'll be burning the midnight oil stamping!  I have lots I hope to accomplish!

Gotta run......I hope you have a very special Thursday!!

Stampin' Up~ A 'Spooky Fun' Haunted House

Here is another spooky Halloween card that is one of the projects for my upcoming Halloween Treats class.  Don't you want to join me for this upcoming class & make this card too?

Look closely at all of these images on this card-
  • the haunted house
  • the little bats
  • the tree
  • the gate
  • and grave stones
All of these images are a piece of designer paper that I cut from the Halloween Night Specialty DSP.

I added these to the designer paper-
  • I stamped the bigger bat
  • I stamped & cut out the 3 little ghosts- using my Archival Basic Black ink pad & Vellum card stock!
Isn't it so cute!!  I love the way it turned out.  It is a fun Z fold card!

stamp set: 'Spooky Fun'
card stock:  Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray,Vellum
designer paper:  Halloween Night Specialty DSP

Yesterday was a busy day filled with boys!  It rained on & off- so we didn't get to go outside to play.

When the boys left I went out to help Deke on the farm- sort & load hogs.  We got soaked.  It was hot, muggy & raining- not fun!  When we got in, we quickly showered & headed to our annual Farm Bureau meeting/supper.  When we got home I answered emails from the day & called it a day.  We were both beat.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for the morning.  I'm off early to pick up the boys for the day.  Tonight we'll all be going to Brayden's football game & then head to the races for the final night of this seasons races at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Osky- to cheer Nathan on!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- Paisley Ghosts!

OH my gosh......I've been having fun creating cards for my upcoming Annual "Halloween Treats" class.  This is one of the cards that everyone joining me for my "Halloween Treats" class will get to make.  I think it is adorable & I just love it!

At my "Halloween Treats" class everyone will be making an assortment of cards & gift box/bags for Halloween!  The cards are all fun fold/techniques too!  If you love Halloween you should be sure to join me for one of these upcoming classes!  And I'll be offering my Banner Halloween Wreath too- as an add on to this class.  You can see my Banner Halloween Wreath by CLICKING HERE!!

These little ghosts are just sooooo stinkin' cute!  I just love their smiles.  They just look really ornery!  (Kind of like the little boys I have here each day!)
So what do you think of this stair step fold ghost card?  Isn't it just adorable!  Who wouldn't like getting this card!!  It also makes a cute decorative item to sit on a desk or shelf too!

stamp sets:  'Ghoulish Grunge', 'Spooky Fun' & 'Suite Seasons'
card stock:  Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie & Very Vanilla
ink:  Archival Basic Black & Whisper White CRAFT ink
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Paisley Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Sponge Dauber, Dimensionals, Decorative Label Punch

Yesterday was a fun day with the boys celebrating the twins 5th birthday!  Birthday hats, blow horns, streamers hanging in the doorways, Grandma's Crispix Cakes & all!  They were excited & had a fun day!  Brayden was here after school too- so they all enjoyed getting to play outside together.

When the boys went home last night I did a little bit of bookwork & called it a night.  I wasn't feeling very well & just really needed to go to bed.

I'm up early this morning to go pick up all of my boys & take Brayden to school.  We didn't make it to the park yesterday to play (due to the rain), so we might make it there today, depending on the weather.  Tonight we have a Farm Bureau supper/meeting that we'll be attending.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

"Happy 5th Birthday" to Brody & Drake!!

Today is Brody & Drake's 5th birthday!!  Oh my gosh......I so remember the day they were born.  It sure doesn't seem like it has been 5 years.  They are such a blessing in our lives!  It has been fun getting to spend time with them as they grow up.  In a couple of weeks they will start pre-school.  That will be a big change for all of us.  One that I think we are all ready for too.
Here is their birthday invite that Manda & I made for them.  They both picked a different theme for their birthday this year, but we got them talked in to both agreeing on Angry Birds.......so it was cute & fun!
+++++
Yesterday morning I worked on the farm helping Deke.  Nathan & Steve came & helped us for awhile too.  We were sorting & moving pigs around.  Manda & the 3 boys came too & they played on the swing & outside.....while we worked with the pigs.

Yesterday afternoon I worked on stamping stuff.  I can't see where I made a dent on my list though.  I'm just so far behind.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off early to get my walk in & head in to pick up the boys, as Manda has an early meeting before school today.

The boys have been wanting to go to What Cheer to play in the park.  If they are good & the weather is ok we might do that this morning.

I have their birthday banner & streamers up!  And I have all of the stuff out to get their crispix birthday cakes made too.  They wanted to help me make them- so we'll see how that goes.

Tonight when the boys go home I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping!  Deke has another meeting tonight in Fairfield- so he won't be home.

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- Angry Bird Spinner cards!

Oh gosh......check out the Angry Bird spinner cards that I made for the twins for their birthday!!  They spin great!!  The hardest part was probably figuring out & cutting all of the little pieces to make a tiny Angry Bird.
I think he turned out cute!  And it was so easy to make the spinner part using the new Sliding Star Framelits.

stamp set:  'Birthday Fiesta' (words)
card stock:  Real Red, Basic Black, Crushed Curry
designer paper:  Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (12x12)
ink:  Black Memento pad
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Sliding Star Framelits, Regals Enamel Dots, Foam Adhesive Strips, Dimensionals, 1 3/4" Circle Punch (for the DSP), 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Blossom Punch, Owl Punch

I used 2 penny's with a dimensional in between them to make the spinner.   I then used another dimensional to attach the little Angry Bird onto the penny.

What did I use to make the Angry Bird?
  • Face- 1 1/4" Circle Punch- Real Red
  • Bottom of Face- top half of 1 1/4" Circle Punch - Sahara Sand
  • Eyes- Large Circles from Owl Punch- Whisper White
  • Eye dots- Tiny Circles from Owl Punch- Basic Black
  • Eyebrows- Fussy cut tiny strips- Basic Blac
  • Beak-Fussy cut a little square & cut in half

Here is the placement I used for putting on the Foam Adhesive strips.
    ++++++
Yesterday was a busy day getting ready for the twins birthday party!  We all had a great time at their party last night!!
Brayden, Drake, Brody, Keifer (their cousin on their dads' side) & Trey
The birthday boys opening up their gifts.....Drake & Brody!
They are all excited!!  They got new bikes!
My mom (great-grandma Sharon), reading a book to Masen!

I am home today to work on the farm!  Nathan & Steve are going to come help us this morning, sort & move pigs before it gets too hot out.

This afternoon/evening I hope to get caught up on bookwork & maybe find time to stamp!

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
    Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- Another spooky haunted house!

Oh my......I have another upcoming Holiday Catalog sneak peek for you.  Check out this spooky haunted house Halloween card.  I think I got a little carried away with layering & cutting things out on this card.  But boy is it adorable in person!
How did I make the house?
#1.  I lightly stamped house image on the back side of the gray brick image designer paper, (which is this gray & black dsp that has these little haunted houses on it- as shown in the photo),  using the Black Memento ink pad.  I just needed the image to lightly be there so that I could cut along the outside lines of the house.
#2.  I then used my paper snips & cut out the house, along the outside edge line.
#3.  I attached the house to my card stock, stamped the roof & then started adding the other images- door, window, bats, etc.....

The stamp set I used is the 'Sweet Home' set, plus I used the coordinating thinlits that go with it called- Home Sweet Home- page 40 in the Holiday Catalog. Oh I love it when Stampin' Up! has things that coordinate together like this!
I used the new Halloween Night Pumpkin Pie Enamel Dot for the door knob.
For the layered banner- I stamped the outline stamp of the banner onto white card stock using the Black Memento ink pad.  I then stamped the Trick or Treat words in the center of that banner, using Pumpkin Pie ink.  This isn't hard to do, as the stamp set is photopolymer.  I then cut the flagged ends of the banner off with my paper snips & layered that center part of the banner onto a solid Pumpkin Pie banner that I cut out.  I wanted to give the words more dimension & make them 'pop' by layering them with 2 different colors like this.

stamp sets:  'Sweet Home' & 'Jar of Haunts' (the words)
card stock:  Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
designer paper:  Halloween Night Specialty DSP
ink:  Black Memento, Pumpkin Pie
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Home Sweet Home Thinlits, Paper Snips, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Halloween Night Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

This is how I made the tag.  I cut a piece of card stock 1 1/4" x 3" & then cut the words "to eat" off the bottom of it.

NOTE:  Usually you cut the card stock at 2" wide to fit exactly into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.....mine is narrow.  I just centered it in the middle- like shown below in the photo & it worked perfectly!
See here how I slid the card stock into the center of the punch.

++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with boys!  They went with Deke & I to Osky to the bank in the morning for an appointment we had over there.  We played outside in the afternoon & stopped to get an ice cream cone at Walkers on our way back to their house about 4:30.  I ran errands for Deke in town & then went back to Osky to get groceries & things for the boys birthday party!!  It was late when I got home, got the car unloaded & everything put away.  And then made Deke supper when he got in & finally called it a night.

This morning I have lots to do to help finish getting ready for the twins' birthday party that is tonight at the Seeley's home.  I need to make their cards, wrap their gifts.....and I'm making marinated tenderized ham steaks, cheesy potatoes & need to cut up the watermelon to take to the party too.  We are grilling out!  Hoping the rain holds off at least during the party.  I know the boys are excited!  I can't believe that they will be 5 in a few days!  Wow- where does time go?

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a busy day with the boys.  School got out early, so Brayden was here to play with the boys all afternoon too.   We spent several hours outside, enjoying the beautiful weather.

When the 3 Seeley boys went home Brayden & I went to Tom's & bought a used bike for him to ride here on the farm.  Tom has tons of bicycles & Brayden was just amazed.

The guys were all racing last night.  Nathan won his heat & finished 6th in the main at Webster City.  After Brayden went to bed, I burnt the midnight oil stamping!

This morning I'm off early to pick up the boys & we'll take Brayden to school.  Tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping......hoping to have good mojo in creating more projects for my upcoming Halloween Treats classes.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!

Oh how I had a full day of stamping yesterday!!  I enjoyed my day, but it was a full one!  I had one of my regular monthly classes in the morning & then had a team meeting in the afternoon!  When everyone left last night I worked on getting our family room/kitchen back in order (furniture moved back where it belonged & all stamp stuff picked up).
Sarah is gone with her cousin this weekend, so Nathan & their boys were here for lunch & supper last night.  Nathan is a great cook- so glad he came here to make supper & eat with us!   When they left last night I went to bed.  I was just beat!
Today I'm working on catching up on mail, bookwork, emails & such this morning.  This afternoon Deke & I are going to stain trim for the outside of our house so that Makenzy can come put that on sometime soon.  Our trim & siding along the bottom edge of our home is rotten.  We are replacing it.  What a process!  Will be glad when it will be all done.  Think we about have everything now to get it done.  I need to get the trim stained, Deke is going to remove the rotten siding & then our friends Makenzy & Ben will be helping to get the rest of it all done.
I think that Nathan & the boys are coming down again today & they can help us!

Gotta run.....
