A beautiful bunch of flowers!

This is another card that everyone joining me to stamp last week for my monthly March classes got to make.  I love it!  These stemmed flowers bunch came from the stamp set- 'Number of Years'.

Isn't the gold foil doily behind it just beautiful!!  I had a really hard time trying to design this card.  As you probably have noticed I usually add words to the front of my cards.  Why?  I don't know.....guess just an old habit.....and thanks to my daughter she finally convinced me that this card looked better without any words on the front of it.
stamp set:  'Number of Years'
card stock:  Gold Foil, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
designer paper:  2014-2016 In Color DSP
ink:  Mossy Meadow & Blackberry Bliss

I burnt the midnight oil stamping last night when I got home.  I'm working on my upcoming 'All Occasions' card classes that I'm having the next 2 weekends.  I'll be a stamping fool this week!!!  And a card cutting machine too!

Deke is off this morning to chore & head to his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to go pick up my boys & spend my day with them.  When they leave tonight I'll be stamping  fool "again"!!!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!

Yesterday I had a full house that came to stamp with me.  When everyone left I put away tables/chairs & put our house back in order.  I then placed orders & I burnt the midnight oil stamping- working on cards for my upcoming All Occasions Card Class that is the next 2 weekends.  Deke worked on the farm all day & then had a county meeting to attend last night.  So I was home alone- just me & my stamps!

A beautiful red rose!

Here is another beautiful red rose.  This is one of the cards I did at my last team meeting.  I shared with them how to do paper piecing & use Glad Press & Seal to hold all of the pieces.

Click HERE to see a purple rose card I made too!
stamp set:  'Rose Wonder' card stock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red, Cucumber Crush ink:  Basic Black Archival other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Rose Garden Thinlit, Extra Large Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Wink Of Stella Glitter Pen, Big Shot Die Brush,  2 Way Glue Pen, Paper Snips
additional:  Glad Press & Seal

1.  Cut out the Rose using the thinlit & Basic Black card stock.  Press it onto the "Glad Press & Seal" so that it holds all of the pieces in their places.  Carefully pull off the black outline of the rose.
NOTE:  I saved these black inside pieces & thought I might use to make a black & ivory rose card sometime.
2.  Cut out the Rose using the thinlit & Real Red card stock.
3.  Pull off the Rose outline & save for another project!
Click HERE to see the outlined Rose card I made with my left over pieces!
4.  I cut squares appox. 3x3 & cut the leaves out with Cucumber Crush card stock, using the thinlit.
5.  I pressed both the Rose & leaves onto the Glad Press & Seal paper.
5.  I use the 2 Way Glue Pen & started paper piecing the Real Red Rose pieces into the center of the Rose & worked my way to the outside edges.
6.  When I was all done paper piecing the rose & leaves I used my Paper Snips & cut around the outside of the rose, leaving a thin white outside edge.

What do you think?   Isn't this just beautiful!  A similar project like this will be one of the many cards everyone joining me for my Spring Fling on April 23rd will be making with me.
+++++
Last night I burned the midnight oil cutting card stock.  And the guys worked in the shop late.

This morning I'm off to go pick up my boys for the day.  Gosh....it is suppose to be another nice day- so we'll be playing outside again.  I love the Spring weather we've been having.  It is great to see & hear the boys running & having fun outside with the toys & the swing set.  I'd hate to guess how many laps they made around the driveway running & riding their bikes.

Tonight I have a house full of ladies coming to stamp with me at our home for my March Stampin' Night monthly class.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone & stamping!!!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
I've gotta run......
Happy Stamping!

They finally got Deke's ring fixed, so we made a quick trip to Fairfield last night to pick it up.  Sarah & Masen were down there setting up for today's Farm Show, so we picked up Nathan & ate a quick supper with them in Fairfield.  When we got home I burnt the midnight oil stamping.

I'm up early this morning & I will be spending my day stamping!  I still have cards to create & everything to get cut for tomorrows class.  I've had good mojo so far- so praying it continues.

Deke is home today & is hoping to get the grower all powerwashed out.

This evening our family will be headed to Osky for my step-dad Dick's 80th Birthday supper!  We are looking forward to seeing many family members & step siblings/families there.  All our kids/families will be going with us, except for Brayden, as he is at his moms this weekend.  When we get home tonight I'll be working on cutting card stock.  Hopefully Deke will help me & do some of the Big Shot cutting & embossing.

Gotta run......

designer paper:  Botancial Gardens DSP

This chick bring back lots of fond memories for me...... as years ago my grandparents had chickens.  I loved it when April rolled around & we got new baby chicks on their farm.  It was always around Easter time & it also meant that Spring was almost here!  I have pictures of me sitting in the middle of the chicken coop with baby chicks all around me.  I remember well getting those baby chicks in & getting to hold them too.  I also learned to gather & wash eggs, butcher chickens & pluck out feathers, plus we also made yummy homemade noodles too.  WOW- I learned so much on their farm & I was so blessed to live only 2 miles from them growing up.  I got to spend every Friday night at their home & go to town with them every Saturday morning.  I learned so much from them & I treasure those memories so much!
+++++
Last night was a late night working on our farm with the piggies.  By the time we got in, had showers, made supper, did dishes, etc.....it was almost time to go to bed.

This morning I'm off to pick up my boys for the day!  Tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping- creating for my upcoming March stamp classes.  I have lots of ideas & pray that I have good mojo & all just clicks!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!

A vintage card using 'First Slight'!

This is kinda of a vintage style card......usually not my normal, but I was having fun playing with this set- 'First Sight'.  I'm amazed at all of the different looks that can be achieved with this set.

So what do you think?  I really like it.....and it is clean & simple, yet elegant.  Depending on what else I end up coming up with for cards, this might be a card that I use for my upcoming 'All Occasions' card classes that I am hosting later this month.  This card could easily be a wedding, anniversary, birthday or for almost any occasion.  I think the accents with the little flowers & pearls & then the Whisper White Organza ribbon just really dress it up.

stamp set:  'First Sight' & 'Perfect Pairings' (SAB choice)
card stock:  Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black & Whisper White
ink:  Archival Basic Black
other:  Banner Triple Punch, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (small flower), Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

The boys were feeling much better yesterday!  It is amazing what an antibiotic can do.  I hope they slept good last night.  And I hope we are all on the uphill side.

Masen hung out with G'ma last night while his daddy & Papa worked in the shop & his mom was at a meeting.  When he left I burnt the midnight oil stamping!

This morning I'm off to pick up the boys for the day.  Deke is gone again today....he has 2 meetings again.  When the boys leave we'll spend our night working late on the farm together, as tonight is my farmer night helping Deke.

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!
