Brayden was here all day yesterday- which I so enjoyed!!
Deke is in the office today- so I'm home alone & to stamp!

BUT- I woke up with a terrible migraine this morning.
I took some meds, but my eyeballs feel like they could pop out- not good!
It is getting a little better- so pray the meds are working.
I haven't had a bad migraine for a long time.
I use to get them all of the time when I worked at the County Attorney's Office.

Happy New Year to you all!!

Wishing you all a healthy & happy 2013!!!  I'm looking forward to sharing my love of stamping with each of you!!

Here is a sneak peek at a NEW Sale-a-bration stamp set.  Sale-a-bration begins on 01/22/13!!  This set is called- 'Patterned Occasions'.  You know how I love my hot chocolate & coffee.....so I think this stamp is pretty cute!

We enjoyed a fun evening home with Mark & Becky (Steve's parents), Manda, Steve & our boys visiting us last night, put an ending to 2012.  AND we were celebrating all we have to look forward to in 2013!  We had a special reason to celebrate too last night- as Steve got a full-time job yesterday with the Keokuk County Secondary Road.  He has been working for them since June as their summer help & a full time position opened up, he applied & got the job!!!  YEAH!  We are so happy for the Seeley family!  

Brayden is still here today- playing with his Ertl home, barns, toys & watching an old 'Home Alone' movie now.  

We sell hogs this afternoon/evening from our outside lot.  Nathan & Steve will have to come to help us.  It is going to be COLD!

I have lots that I could do today, but just may enjoy a day off- which is something I never do!

'Sweet Threads' Simply Sent kit!

Good morning!  Happy New Years Eve!

WOW- this year just flew by.

Brayden is helping Grandma flattening Soda Pop Tops!!!

Here is what the new Soda Pop Tops look like.

Love them!!

And here Brayden is going to show you how to flatten them!

(To make them more mailable friendly!)

• All Tabs OPEN on your Big Shot Platform
• clear plate
• thick cardboard that is on the back of your specialty designer paper or Simply Sent kits, etc.
• Soda Pop Tops face down
• clear plate

Run them through your Big Shot.

Here they come.....flatten!

They will be pushed downward into your cardboard piece.

Remove the top clear plate & pull them off of your cardboard piece.

Add them to your card as an awesome embellishment!

 This is the small one flattened.

 This is the larger one flattened.

I'd like to thank our 4 year old grandson (Brayden) for helping me by flattening all of my Soda Pop Tops.

He is such a good helper!

He LOVES grandma's stamping!

What a sweetie!

He wanted to know if I'd tell Shelli that he helped me!  

I told him I sure would next time I see her. 

So I can't forget to do this.

He became good friends with Shelli when we were at Disney this past May & I don't think either one of them will ever forget the other!

We had a very nice time with Deke's family yesterday at their Christmas.
Always fun to get everyone together.
Aunt Darci took Brayden sledding in the afternoon & they had a blast!

I'm off to do farm bookwork today......going to hide until I get it done.

Yesterday afternoon Manda & I took the twins to the dr. 

They have both not been eating well, not been sleeping at all the past 3 nights & running slight temps.

Brody had an ear infection.
They wrote a prescription for Drake too to fill if needed since the boys share cups & everything. 

They guys are on a road trip today looking at a racing hauler.
They left at 6 this morning.

Brayden is here with me playing with his farm.

He is going to go sledding this afternoon with Aunt Darci & he can't wait!

 Lots of Deke's family will be here today/tonight, as we have their family Christmas tonight at his parents.

A nice perk to living right by (neighbors to) your in-laws that we get to sleep in our own beds & don't have to drive far or take too long to there!

I just have to take a big crockpot of my Cheesy Potatoes.

I have some Christmas presents I've got to get finished today!!

And need to work on farm bookwork!

Brayden is in heaven with all of these "OLD" toys!

Thankfully Grandma saved them all of these years.

Finding them in Nathan's old closet was a challenge though.

Nathan got out alot of his old Ertl toys tonight & built a huge farm for Brayden.

(Including a race shop!)

Talk about an excited little boy!

WOW- they sure don't make toys any more like they use to.

We sure enjoyed having my 2 boys here to visit, eat supper & spend the evening with us!

 Pretty cool huh!
Nathan &  Brayden spent alot of time tonight putting all of these together.

Sneak Peek Stampin UP! 'Hearts a Flutter'

Good morning!
Here is the card that I made for Manda & Steven's anniversary last week!

supplies:  Big Shot, Hearts a Flutter framelits, Jewelry Tag punch, 1 1/4" Two-Toned Basic Gray/Black ribbon, dimensionals, glue dots

Notes:  

This ribbon is really wide, so I cut it in half when I used it on their card.  

There isn't much of a two tone with it, other than the outside very edges are a little lighter. 

But it is really pretty in person & very nice to work with in tying bows! 

I love it!  

It also come in Pink Pirouette/Rose Red color too!

Yesterday I didn't get any stamping done.  My Stamp Studio was a disaster.......so I cleaned it.  All of my stamp sets are back on the shelves & in the correct spots so I can find them.  My room looked like a tornado hit it & I couldn't find anything!!  I also got all of my pre-order NEW Spring Catalog sets all put together.  So- I am ready to stamp today!!  I have 3 swaps that have to be done & in the mail.  I hope I have good mojo!

Our guys are all going out for supper tonight with the "Wood Racing" crew.

So the girls are staying home with the twins.  Jenny is coming to visit us.  I am going to make home made pizza for supper.

Deke is in Mt. Pleasant all day for meetings.  He got up super early this morning to get his chores done & is already back in to shower, shave & on road to his meeting.  Gonna be weird to be home alone.....so off to stamp I go.......weird not having the boys here either.  
(I will see them tonight though.)

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of Jesus, with your family and friends.  We had a great day- spent with family!  Then back home to work.  We sold hogs last night in the cold!

Merry Christmas from our house to yours!

Good morning!

 Yesterday afternoon/evening we had Christmas with our kids at our home.

 I'm taking bacon, home made cinnamon rolls & a hashbrown/sausage/egg casserole.

(We will have Christmas with Deke's family on Saturday evening.)

Happy Christmas Eve to you all!

Oh how I love this snowflake die.  I have used it for tons & tons of projects.  

 

I cut out the snowflakes with the Aluminum flashing using the Big Shot & the Snow Flurry die; then added one of our upcoming NEW JUMBO RHINESTONES in the middle; attached the 3 snowflakes together with glue dots & put onto the glass candle votive with a dimensional.  

This is one of the gifts I made Christmas.

Oh- I have LOTS to do in the next few hours!!  I have to finish up signing Christmas cards & get them all in the mail box within the next few hours, so that they go out in today's mail. 

THEN-

We have our Christmas with our kids tonight.  So I have cleaning, cooking & wrapping of gifts to do before they get here.  We'll eat, unwrap gifts & go to mass together.  Looking forward to seeing how excited the boys are over their gifts.  I wonder if they will like the wrapping paper more or the presents???

Deke & I are off to a family friends visitation/funeral this morning.

Ford McFarlan has been a long time family friend of both our of families.

He & his wife Juanita never missed any of our families graduations, weddings or anything!

Ford & Juanita were best friends with my grandparents.

The twins & I went to visit Ford on his 92 birthday in October.

I'm so glad we got to see him that day!

I'm so glad he got to see the twins.

When we get home I'll be spending the rest of the day/night stamping!

I stamped all night last night.

I got alot done- but tons more to do.

My Stamp Studio is a disaster!
