'Santa's Suit'

Oh....the first time I saw this Santa in the catalog I just loved it!!  I think he is so cute!! Your mind just goes 100 mph when you look at this bundle, as there are tons of different possibilities that could be done with it when creating!

This card is another one of the cards that I have created for my upcoming Holiday Extravaganza that I'm hosting this coming weekend!!

Check out the Wink of Stella that I used on Santa's hair.  I also used it along the fur & ball of his hat too!

Look closely at Santa.  How did I color him?  I colored Santa with the NEW Stampin' Blends.  I used the Light Cherry Cobbler & Ivory!!!
I used 2 strips of Tear & Tape along the back edge of the pretty 7/8" Black/White Stripped Ribbon & adhered it to the front of the card.

Notice the words- I used the 1 1/4" Circle punch them out & then slid them under the edge of the ribbon.

stamp set: 'Santa's Suit'
card stock:  Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
designer paper: Merry Little Christmas DSP

Stampin' Blends:  Light Cherry Cobbler, Ivory
ink:  Black Memento
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Santa Builder Framelits Dies, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Starburst Punch, Wink of Stella, Tear & Tape, Dimensionals

I burnt the midnight oil cutting card stock last night.  We are up early again this morning, as Deke has to chore & head to Des Moines for a meeting.  I'll work on cutting card stock for a couple of hours before I go pick up the boys.  I'll spend my day with the little ones again today & burn the midnight oil again tonight cutting card stock.

Our poor little Ainslee is still sick.  She has a terrible cough now, but is still on meds from her red throat she had last week.  Yesterday was a long day for all of us!  I hope she feels better today!

Gotta run......
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

'Count My Blessings'

This is a cute stamp set in the Holiday Catalog on page 50- called 'Count My Blessings'.  I have used it several different times on other blog posts, but I've used the acorns that are in this set.  I decided that I'd use the flowers this time, as I colored them with the NEW Stampin' Blends (alcohol markers) that will be available on November 1st, 2017 for you to purchase!!  This stamp set is perfect for coloring with them!

I am super EXCITED about these NEW Stampin' Blends.  They are awesome! I just love them!  Wait until you see them & use them!  I know you'll love them too!  They color so easy & are so smooth.  They are duo tipped, so they have a smaller tip on one end & a larger tip on the other end.  The lids stack & the barrel of the marker is square shaped, not round- so it doesn't roll off of your desk/table.
For this card I used these NEW Stampin' Blend colors-  Light Old Olive, Dark Pumpkin Pie & Light Daffodil Delight. Oh- I still think this is just so pretty!

This is one of the cards that everyone joining me for my upcoming Holiday Extravaganza this coming Saturday, Oct. 28th, 2017 will be making!  This annual event has a focus on the Holiday Catalog, with the products being Fall, Christmas & Winter (no Halloween).  This years class will also be focusing on the NEW Stampin' Blends too!  I am so excited about all of the projects I have created for this big annual event.  There are over 20 projects, so everyone will go home with a ton of new ideas & cute stamped creations!!  I have a great group joining me this day & I can't wait to share & spend my day stamping with all of them.  I have been planning for this big event for weeks.  I still have lots of cutting to get done yet this week.
This card is a fun fold card.  I shared a card a few days ago with this same fold.  You can check it out BY CLICKING HERE!

Here are the measurements on how to fold the base of the card-
Pumpkin Pie- 5 1/4 x 11"- score 1 3/4, 3 1/2, 7 1/2, 9 1/4"

stamp set:  'Count My Blessings' & 'Basket of Wishes'
card stock:  Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla

It was a fun card to make.....and it is a fun fold too.

Check out the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper that I added to the bottom.

I just stamped the lamp post onto the cardstock, using the Smoky Slate ink pad.

The weather was so nice yesterday.  The boys & I played outside for quite awhile in the morning.  When the kids went home last night I burnt the midnight oil stamping.  And Deke worked in the field late again.

It was a short night, as this morning I'm a farmer, helping Deke.  We are up early to mark, sort & load hogs.  I then have an appointment to go get my hair cut as soon as we are done with that.  And then I'll be working on wedding invitation things for one of Deke's cousins' daughter.  And hopefully get some of my own stamping stuff done too today.

Tonight our whole family is going to Des Moines.   Brody was chosen as an Iowa Wild Kid Captain through Mercy Children's Hospital. We are so excited to celebrate this with family and promote another children's hospital in the state of Iowa who has done SO much for us.  Brody's nurse Erin, nominated him for this.  Erin & her husband will also be joining us at the game tonight.

'Joy Eclipse' card

I've been working on projects for my upcoming Holiday Exravaganza event for the past few weeks.  This is one of the first card I created for this big event & so this card is the first one that I'm sharing it with you on blog!

Here is a pretty Christmas 'Eclipse' card that I made for that class!   Check out how I stamped the pines first, then used the Large Letter Framelits & cut out the words "Joy".  I then popped the letters back up when I adhered them to the card, making sure that they were off set just a little, so that the red layer underneath showed.

'The Eclipse' technique has become very popular again lately on cards & there are many of them posted on blogs & Pinterest.  They are fun, easy & give a wow affect.  I wanted this card to be just that- clean, simple & just my style with this layout.  I think it turned out pretty cute!  I hope everyone that makes it likes it too!

I made a Halloween 'Eclipse' card at my Hiawatha monthly class in September.  It was a big hit & so much fun to do.   I posted it on my blog a few weeks ago.  I loved just listening to the gals as they were making it at my class that day!  They all had fun making it.  You can see that card by CLICKING HERE!
Since this stamp set is photopolymer, notice how I cut the words- 'to you & yours' off from the Christmas Happiness.  That way I could stamp them & punch them out with the Classic Label Punch & add them to the bottom of this card.  Even though I actually cut apart this stamp set, I can easily add it back together when I stick it to the clear block!  That is another great benefit about photopolymer stamps!

stamp set:  'Christmas Happiness'
cardstock:  Garden Green, Real Red, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
designer paper:  Quilted Christmas DSp
ink:  Garden Green, Chocolate Chips
other:  Big Shot, Large Letter Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Mini Tinsel Trim (Real Red), Mini Dimensionals, Paper Snips

NOTE:  There are no framelits for this stamp set, so I had to fussy cut out the pinecone, but it wasn't hard to do at all.

+++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with kids.  The 3 big boys were here after school too.  Brayden got to ride in the tractor with Papa for awhile, so he was thrilled.  When everyone left, I made a trip to Osky to deposit our hog check that just came & picked up a few groceries.  They were repaving the road, so i had to take the scenic route- which took me about 45 minutes longer to do.  When I get home I put groceries away, took Deke's supper out to the field & road with him for a round in the tractor.  I then burnt the midnight oil stamping!

I'm off to go pick up the boys this morning, take the twins to school & spend my day with the little ones.  The 3 big boys will ride the bus here after school again.  When everyone leaves tonight I'll be a burning the midnight oil stamping again!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Those of you that stamp with me know that I love black & white cards!  You can never go wrong with them.  They are clean, crisp & elegant!

Yesterday was a busy day with kids.  Masen & Ainslee still don't feel good.....so it was a long day for all of us.  Hopefully today they feel better.  When everyone was gone last night I burnt the midnight oil stamping.   And Deke burnt the midnight oil working in the field.

I'll spend my day today with the 3 little ones.  The 3 big boys will be here after school.  And then I'll  spend my night stamping when everyone is gone home!

I hope you have a great Thursday!!

This is an pretty heat embossed card.  It is Real Red, Whisper White & Gold Foil, along with some Gold Glimmer too for some sparkle.

This is a really pretty & elegant card in person!

I cut waves out of Whisper White card stock to go along the bottom of this card- for the snow drifts!!  I then popped the trees up with dimensionals.

Masen & Ainslee both went to the dr yesterday!  They have red throats & fevers, so got medicine.  Ainslee acted better already by last night.  Masen was still not himself at all.  Hopefully today they are much better!

When the kids went home last night I helped Deke on the farm with the pigs.  Steve & Nathan helped us too.  We were working with marking & sorting the pigs in the outside lots.  When I get in I burnt the midnight oil stamping!!  And Deke burnt the midnight oil working in the field.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for awhile.  He'll then come home & work in the field the remainder of the day/night.  Manda has another early meeting, so I'm off to their house.  I'll take the twins to school & then spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Ainslee will be here late with me tomorrow night, as Sarah has to work late & the guys are going with the other boys to school for the PTO Pizza For Pops supper.  I'll be burning the midnight oil again stamping!!  OH gosh.....I've got some super cute projects created for my upcoming Holiday Extravaganza event & will be sharing them starting next week.  I just absolutely love the Holiday Catalog & I'm having so much fun creating projects with many of the products in it for my upcoming Holiday Extravaganza event.

'Coloful Seasons' Leaves & the Baby Wipe tehcnique!

You all know I love fall.  And these colors are one of the many reasons why!!  As I was driving home yesterday morning from taking the boys to school, I was noticing all of the beautiful fall colors that God has blessed us with.  It was truly breath taking & totally amazing!  I just looked down the streets in town at all of the pretty trees & then looked out over the hills in the country driving home.

So here is a pretty fall card that I made this past weekend, to send out for some Happy Mail!!  I used the baby wipe technique & the Painted Autumn designer paper, along with the 'Colorful Seasons' stamp set & coordinating Seasonal Layering Thinlits!

I made shaker card for my October monthly classes similar to this one & I'll post that in the next few days.

This card was made with some left over pieces from my class....and I think it turned out so cute, that I ended up cutting more supplies so that I could mass produce it!  Oh & these- thinking of you - words are in the 'Colorful Seasons' stamp set too!  I like the font, the length of these words & thought they worked perfectly on this strip of card stock on the front of the card.

This Painted Autumn designer paper is beautiful too!  Just such great colors, images & versatility.  It is one of the many packages of designer paper that is on sale this month too!

Check out the Designer Paper Special list HERE!
stamp set:  'Colorful Seasons'
card stock:  Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla
designer paper:  Painted Autumn
ink:  Cajun Craze
ink refills:  Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie & Cajun Craze
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Thick Twine, dimensionals, Glue Dot, baby wipes

How do you do the baby wipe technique?  Take a baby wipe, put it on a plate (something protecting your working surface under it), put drops of ink refill onto the baby wipe & that then becomes your "ink pad" to tape your stamp into for a rainbow of different colors!

Look at my pile of Happy Mail!  The postal lady just smiled when I took them to her yesterday morning at the post office.  They all required an additional 20 cent stamp, since they had twine on them, so that meant that they were non-machinable-thus she had some work to do by hand to have them proceed on!  There are 23 cards here!!  I sure hope that they make several people smile when they get them in the mail from me!!

+++++++
Yesterday Masen ended up being sick.  I sure hope everyone else doesn't get it.  Not sure what he had....it was the flu symptoms with vomiting & fever.  So keep your fingers crossed for me that Masen is better today & that everyone else stays healthy the rest of the week!

One of my best friends from high school & my college roommate, Janet & her mom, came out to visit me late yesterday afternoon.  She lives in Florida now & I hadn't seen her in almost 6 years.  She got to see Masen & Ainslee (which was fun).  And we enjoyed visiting & catching up on so many things. Gosh.....what great times we had together over the years.  I miss her, but didn't realize how much until I saw her!  We use to be together all of the time!  I look forward to her next trip back to Iowa again in a couple of months & hope we get to see each other again for a bit.

I worked on stamping stuff for awhile last night after Janet & her mom left & finally called it a night.....I was beat & I needed to get some sleep.

This morning I'm off early, as Manda has an early meeting at work.  I'll take the twins to school & spend my day with Trey, Masen & Ainslee.  Tonight when the kids go home I'll be working on the farm- helping Deke with the pigs.  When we are done & I get it from there, I'll be stamping!!

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

We are up at 6 to mark, sort & load hogs.  When I get from helping Deke on the farm this morning I've got lots of stamping to do!  We are suppose to race again tonight, but it is suppose to rain- so I am assuming they'll be cancelled & I'll stamp all night too!

'Watercolor Christmas'

Check out this card.  It is clean & simple & traditional Christmas colors!   I used the cool stamp set- 'Watercolor Christmas'.  I just love the font of these words.

I used a Metallic Enamel star on the top of the tree for some added bling!!  And check out the Emerald Envy striped ribbon.  It looks great on this Christmas card doesn't it!

Punches are one of my favorite things & this little tree worked great to punch it out with the 1 1/4" Circle punch & then layer it with the 1 1/2" Circle Punch.

After the kids were gone, I spent my night stamping last night.  My dear friend Angie came over to visit & she helped me with my stamping too!  It was great to catch up with her!  I so enjoyed it!

This morning I'm off to pick up the twins, take them to school & I will spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Tonight when everyone goes home I'll be a stamping fool!!

Gotta run...
I hope you have a very special Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!!

'Carols of Christmas'- Wintery Christmas card

Here is a pretty Wintery Christmas card.  I love the shine & glimmer of it!

I used the cool Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP, along with some Pool Party card stock.
It is clean, simple & elegant!!

Check out the Pool Party 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon.

And this designer paper is just awesome!  It is just shiny dots on the kraft colored card stock!   WOW!  And it comes in many different colors of shiny dots too!  Check out on page 189 in the Annual Catalog.

Tonight I'll be working on stamping stuff when everyone is gone home!  I need to get all of my things unpacked & put away from my classes last weekend, so I can start creating & working on things for my upcoming Holiday Extravaganza event!

Another CUTE 'Spooky Cat'

This is a fun fold card that I did for a swap with some demonstrator friends in August.  I just about forgot to post it!  I think it turned out so cute- don't you!
Check out the DSP.  It has Vanilla dots on it, so I took my Daffodil Delight marker & colored over them, so that they were yellow!  This is a fun & simple trick that you can do!

I am just so addicted to this cat punch, along with this fence & these Card Front Builder framelits together.

Again....this black cat just reminds me so much of our black house cat- Lucky.
stamp sets:
  • 'Garden Girl' (for the fence)
  • 'Spooky Cat' (for the words)
  • 'Merry Little Labels' (words for the inside of the card)
card stock:
  • Basic Black
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • So Saffron
  • Crumb Cake
designer paper:  Spooky Nights DSP
ink:  Black Memento
marker:  Daffodil Delight
other:   Paper Snips (to fussy cut out the fence), Perfect White Accent (colored with a black sharpie marker), Cat Punch, 2 1/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Card Front Builder Thinlits, dimensionals, Glue Dots, Classic Label Punch, Pretty Label Punch

The front flap opens up.
This is what it looks like on the inside.  Can you see how the front flap pulls up & then the card actually opens from the right side instead of the normal left side opening.

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Monday's are always hard, as I'm trying to get them back into my schedule.  The boys enjoyed their warm chocolate chip cookies after school.  And Brayden was so happy that he finally got his turn in riding in the tractor with Papa too.

After the kids went home I worked on placing orders & connecting with my hostesses.  I had a ton of things to catch up on from being gone all weekend to stamp classes.  I took a late supper out to the field to Deke & I rode a couple of rounds with him in the tractor too.  We saw lots of wild animals roaming around in the fields/pastures in the dark.......and there was a really big buck that was so pretty that I watched for quite awhile.

I cooked a whole roaster of meat yesterday too, so I got it all done & bagged before I went to bed also.

I'm up early this morning, as the 3 Wood kids are coming by 7.  We'll then all go to the Seeley's, eat breakfast, I'll take the 3 older boys to school & then spend my day with the 3 little ones here at our home.

Tonight I'll be working on stamping stuff when everyone is gone.  If it doesn't rain Deke will be working in the field again.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!
