Stampin' Up! -First Sight'

Here is another quick & simple card.  I think it turned out really cute though!  I needed a special card to send to a special lady & this is what I came up with.  I hope she likes it when she gets it in the mail this week.

stamp set:  'First Sight'
card stock:  Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Whisper White
designer paper:  Love Blossoms Paper Stack (6x6)
ink:  Basic Black
other:  Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (small flower), Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Yesterday was a busy day with the boys.  Their coughs were a little better, so we put off taking them to the dr.....hoping they slept good last night & are on the uphill side to getting better.  If not I'll run them to the dr today.

Tonight when the 3 boys leave we'll take Masen & run to Fairfield.  Deke's ring didn't end up being done on Saturday for us to go get, so hoping it is done today when I call about it & we can get it back.

I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping again tonight!  I've been a stampin' fool & still have lots more creating to do for all of my upcoming March classes!

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

'Timeless Textures'= I LOVE IT!

Here is a cool collage card I made for a special friend!  I just can't get enough of this 'Timeless Textures' stamp set.  The more I use it the more I love it!!  I'll be sharing several cards over the next week or so using it.

Gosh I love this card so much it just might end up being one I use for my monthly swap or maybe my upcoming All Occasions class- we'll see!
stamp set:  'Timeless Textures' & 'Perfect Pairings'
card stock:  Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
ink:  Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride
other:  Extra Large Oval Punch, Basic Pearls, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (Small Flower), Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Bradyen helped Papa on the farm & in the shop all day yesterday.  Nathan came out late morning & hung out with them in the shop too.  Masen hung out with G'ma in the morning & then went home with his mom.  He sure doesn't like me to get out of his sight....guess he is just a little spoiled huh!  Thus I don't get much done when he is here.  After he left I spent my afternoon stamping!!  I had good mojo & I got several cards created.  I still have piles & lots to get done this week.  I pray my good mojo continues & I have time to get everything done!

Last night we went to Manda's for a couple of hours to eat supper with them & visit, as Steve was gone.  Papa played the Wie with the boys & I helped her. When we got home I burnt the midnight oil stamping.

This morning I'm off to pick up the boys & spend my day with them.  They've had a bad cough & sick since last week, so I'm going to try to get them into the dr today.   Deke is off early to chore & then he has his weekly board meeting at the courthouse.

Tonight when all of my boys go home I will be burning the midnight oil stamping again.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday!!

Check this out!  Here is another fun card that everyone joining me at my monthly classes made this month.  I think it turned out cute!
It is a fun fold card too!  It is a match box card!  And don't you love the cute thinlit words too!  I colored the words using sponge daubers to add color to the white card stock.

stamp set:  'Party With Cake'
card stock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry
designer paper:  Have a Cuppa Paper Stack
ink:  Basic Black Archival, Crushed Curry & Bermuda Bay
other: Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Party Pop-Up Thinlit, Bermuda Bay ribbon, Dimesnionals, Glue Dots, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Big Shot Die Brush, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Sponge Daubers

Notice the little balloons I added to the inside of it too, using the Balloon Bouquet Punch.

See how you can flip the front down into the folded up part on the bottom of the card to hold it shut.  I didn't add any adhesive along this bottom edge.  I just used the ribbon to secure/hold it shut.  If you don't want to make it a match box fold card, then add a few glue dots along the folded up edge & you can make this into a gift card holder!
Here are the measurements I used for the white card stock.
It is a 4 x 11" piece of card stock & I then scored it at 1 1/4 & 6 1/2".
I then put a piece of Basic Black 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" layer behind it to make it a standard card size.
+++++
Yesterday morning we ran lots of errands.  The boys did good!!  We went to the bank so they got suckers!  And they got to run around in Skunks shop.  And they got to visit almost every office in the courthouse too!

Yesterday afternoon after work it was so nice, so Steve took the 3 older boys (Brayden, Brody & Drake) & they walked along the pond & in the back fields looking for the shedding of deer antlers.  Trey, Papa & I went back to check on them in the Scout.  The didn't find any antlers, but they saw lots of live deer.

Last night Deke & went to Fairfield to get his wedding ring fixed.  We ran to Walmart & bought a new TV, as ours in the kitchen died.  We also ate supper out at one of their Mexican restaurants- which was yummy!!

This morning Cindy & Theresa are coming to design wedding invitations.  I'm then off to get my hair all cut off short again.  And then Brayden & Masen will be spending the afternoon/evening with us.  We are going to make a quick trip back to Fairfield to get Deke's ring too.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!!
Happy Stamping!

"just for you"

Check out this cool card & fun technique!  Have you ever done a shadow along the edge of words before?  I used the White Chalk Marker here to do the shadowing along these words.

First I stamped the words using the Calypso Coral Ink pad.  And then I just drew along the edges of the words where I wanted it to be shadowed like.

This was one of the cards that everyone made at my monthly classes this month.  It is actually a fun fold easel card too!  Check it out below with it opened up.  Wow- this card could be for many different occasions.
stamp sets:  'Botanicals for You' (SAB), 'First Sight' & 'Timeless Treasures'
card stock:  Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White, Calypso Coral
ink:  Calypso Coral & Tip Top Taupe
other:  Tip Top Taupe Lace Trim, Basic Rhinestones, Sweetheart Punch, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, White Chalk Marker, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Hearts Border Punch

+++++
Last night after the boys went home, I was home alone, as Deke had a meeting.  So I spent my night working on stamping stuff.

Today is another fun day with my boys.....I'm off to go pick them up.  We have a bunch of errands to run this morning- so hope that all goes well.  Tonight Deke & I are going to Fairfield.  He needs his wedding ring resized & we'll get a few groceries, etc. while we are out of town.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- 'What I Love'!

Oh gosh.....these words= Stampin' Up! & What I Love- I could go on & on with this!!  You all know I love LOTS of Stampin' Up! things & things about Stampin' Up!

Here is another one of the cards that everyone joining me to stamp at my February classes got to make.

This card is created with a very pretty 2 step stamp set that is a Sale-a-bration choice.  It is called- 'What I Love'!  There is alot of detail in the the stamp images in this set.
stamp set:  'What I Love' & 'Sunburst Sayings' (for the inside words)
card stock:  Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
ink:  Wild Wasabi, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
other:  Big Shot, Elegant Dots, Wisteria Wonder ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dot, Iced Rhinestone Embellishment
I did a fun fold here......you know me- just to be different!

And the colors I used are 2 of my favorites- Wisteria Wonder & Wild Wasabi......as they remind me of my Grandma Cox.

Above is what the card looks like opened up.  And here are the measurements:
Wisteria Wonder- 4 x 5 1/4; 5 1/4 x 1 1/4 (emboss); 4 1/4 x 2 1/2
Wild Wasabi-  5 1/2 x 5 3/4- score at 4 1/4"; 4 1/2 x 2 3/4
Whisper White-  4 x 2 1/4; 4 x 2 1/4
+++++
Yesterday I spent my day with all of my boys.  Masen was here late, as Sarah had a meeting after work.  And with Nathan's cast- he still can't even pick up or do anything with Masen yet.  When Masen left I got some things done around the house- laundry, cleaning, etc.  Deke was gone most of the day, as he had 2 meetings- so we didn't see much of him.  Last night it was late when he got in from choring & working in the shop.

This morning we are both off early again.  I'm headed in town to pick up the boys for the day.  And Deke is off to chore & then he has 3 meetings today.  Two of them are this morning in Ottumwa & the other one will be tonight in Sigourney.  So it will be late again when he gets home to chore & in the house tonight.  Since I think I'll be home alone tonight, I hope to get to do some stamping when the boys are all gone.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday we had a great day of stamping!  It was a long day for me.....I was beat when I get home.  I did get to stop & visit my dear friend Judy on my way home.  It was great to see her!!!

Deke got alot done on the farm......another nursery is powerwashed & all clean!

Deke is off early to chore & then he is off to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off early to pick up Masen.  Steve will bring the other boys out to me this morning.  And Brayden will ride the bus out here after school.

Deke was suppose to have a meeting tonight, but isn't going to be able to go now, as all of our kids & grandkids will be here for supper with us for my belated birthday with everyone.  They are bringing Casey's Pizza- so no one has to cook!!  That sounds like a good plan to me.

Have a Fun Friday!!

Here is a clean & simple birthday card for me to share with you on this fun Friday!!!  I love the ice cream cones in this designer paper.  And I really like the font that goes with the wording in this stamp set too!

I would have never thought of myself as a clean & simple stamper.  I love layers & dimension (which I still do alot of)- but I don't spend hours creating a single card like I use too.  I just don't have time.  I've learned that I have to make the most of the little time I have & even though this is a simple card, it is cute too- with layers & dimension.
stamp set:  'Birthday Blooms'
card stock:  Soft Suede, Mint Macroon, Whisper White
designer paper:  Birthday Bouquet
ink: Watermelon Wonder
other:  Big Shot, Circle Thinlits,Tiny Triangles Embossing folder (on Soft Suede banner), Paper Snips, It's My Day Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Clear Wink of Stella (added some sparkle to the ice cream cones on the designer paper)

Yesterday was a full day with my boys & then a late night as a farmer, helping Deke with the pigs!  I was a hobbling by the time we got in the house last night.  Here is a long story made short- On Tuesday night I fell off the bottom step on a ladder in the garage & I thought I broke my foot.  It snapped & hurt instantly.  I kept it up & iced it all night.  Thankfully I think it is just sprained really bad.  I could hardly walk on Wednesday though.  Yesterday it was a little less painful.  It is swollen huge & I have a knot on the top of my foot.  It is black & blue from my ankle, down both sides of my foot & clear down to my toes.  Me being on it last night & walking so much selling hogs didn't help it any.  I'm hoping today I can keep it up some & it heals sooner than later.
Nathan got along ok with his surgery yesterday morning & he got home yesterday afternoon.  They had to move some tendens in order to get the plate & pins in, so he is gonna be in extra pain for a few days.  He is gonna have a long few weeks of healing!  He takes after his mom & isn't very good at sitting still doing nothing.

This morning I'm off to go pick up my boys for the day.  Deke is home again today to work on the farm, so we'll get to enjoy him being here for lunch again.  Tonight when the boys have all gone home, I hope to do no more than I have to do!  We'll see if that happens or not!  I hope there will be a good movie on & I can lay on the couch & watch it!

Have a FUN Friday!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a different day with only the 2 little guys.  We had fun!  Masen sure watched & adored Trey.  Last night when the boys went home I caught up on a few things around here.

Nathan has his surgery on his wrist this morning.  I pray that he gets along good.  They are doing it as an out patient.  The surgery is to last about 1 1/2 hours to put the plate(s) & screws in.  Masen stayed with his other Grandma last night, as he has his 6 month check up & shots this morning.  She is taking him to that & then will bring him to our home.  Brayden will be here after school.  I'll keep the boys until Nathan & Sarah get home, unless it it too late- then I'll run them to Manda & Steve's, as we sell hogs tonight & I'll be a farmer helping Deke outside.

I'm off now to pick up the 3 Seeley boys.  Manda has an early meeting today.  We'll enjoy spending our day together.

Deke is home today to work on the farm all day.  He has feed to grind, some repairs & things to catch up on, etc.  We are looking forward to him being here to eat lunch with us today.

I hope you have a a great Thursday!!
