Do you want to know how did I make the frosting?  I wanted to have a variation in color with swirls in it......

  • Add a drop of Flirty Flamingo ink refill to the inside top of lid, use your Stampin' Spritzer & spray some water in with it.
  • Spray water onto your Water Color Paper using your Stampin' Spritzer- you want to get it fairly wet, but not dripping.
  • Use a moist Baby Wipe- tap it LIGHTLY into the ink on the inside of the lid to pick up a little ink.
  • Lightly tap onto your wet Water Color Paper to add color!
  • Here is what some of them looked like after I added the color!  See how they are all different.  The outcome will depend on how much ink & water you use & also how hard you tap the ink onto the wet Water Color Paper.
  • Let the Water Color Paper DRY.
  • Then stamp onto it.  You can stamp on the front side like shown here OR you can stamp on the back side of it like I did on the card I have posted.
  • Then fussy cut out with your Paper Snips- OR you can use the NEW Sweet Treat Framelits that will be available to purchase starting March 1st!
  • Then using a tooth pick & your Shimmery White Embossing Paste- add your frosting to it!

Yesterday was a long day!  We started our early with selling hogs.  Thankfully the trucker got here safely & back out too.  Deke put alot of sand on our hog house drive & gravel road & hills- so that helped a ton.  We sell 2 loads on Thursday morning, so now need to get another dump truck of sand delivered incase we need it.

I literally stamped all day/night yesterday!  And was just beat last night.

I'm off early this morning for Hiawatha!  I'll spend my day there stamping with everyone joining me.  They have some super cute cards to make!!  I am looking forward to our day together!

Gotta run.........
If you have any questions on how to do this- please don't hesitate to contact me!

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

A Sneak Peek with 'Painted Seasons'!

On February 15th, 2019- the 2nd Release Sale-a-bration products are released.  Check out this bright & pretty card I made using the NEW 'Painted Seasons' set!
For this card I did an 'oldie, but a good' technique!!  Years ago (19) when I started stamping we didn't have the Big Shot, Embossing Folders and we had very few designer papers.  So we did a technique called- One Sheet Wonder' where you stamp a whole sheet of 8 1/2 x 11" card stock & then cut it up & use it on multiple cards.  So this is one of the cards I made when I cut up my One Sheet of card stock that I had randomly stamped!
This card is a fun Z fold card.  Here is what it looks like when it is standing up.
Are you wondering how I got the dots in the center of flower?  I used my Early Espresso ink pad & a well inked sponge dauber.  I did have to ink the center 2 times to get the circle this dark.

Check out this NEW Punch too!  It is called Story Label Punch! It will be available on March 1st to order for $18.00.

stamp set;
  • 'Dear Doily' - words
  • Painted Seasons'- available 2/15/19- Level 2 Sale-a-bration choice- free with a $100 products order.  You also get a 12x12 pg of dsp with this stamp set Level 2 choice!
card stock:
  • Call Me Clover- 4 1/4 x 11- score at 2 3/4 & 5 1/2"= to make the z fold; 2" strip to punch out the Story Label Punch
  • Early Espresso-  2" strip- to punch out circle; 5 1/4 x 1/2"; 5 1/4 x 3 3/4"
  • Whisper White- 5 x 3 3/4" for inside of the card; 4 3/4 x 3 1/4"- stamp the images onto this piece for the card front; 2" strip- stamp words on & punch out
ink:  Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Call Me Cloverother:  1 2/4" Circle Punch; 1 1/2" Circle Punch; Story Label Punch; Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots; Sponge Dauber; Dimensionals; Glue Dot

Yesterday I just had Masen & Ainslee for the day!  It was a busy one.....they are on the go all of the time.  Last night I worked on stamping stuff......getting swaps ready, happy mail made & cutting for upcoming classes.  My kitchen island was piled high with projects when I finally quit & went to bed.

We are up early at 5:00 this morning to mark, sort & load hogs.  Deke put tons of sand all over our hog house drive, road, hills, etc......as we have a thick glaze of hard ice & it is super slick!  I pray that the semi gets here fine & doesn't have any problems on our gravel road.

I was suppose to have 2 stamp classes here today at our home.  I decided for everyone safety to reschedule them for next Saturday!  Our roads, driveway, etc.....is just too slick to risk anyone being out on them- going in the ditch, or falling & getting hurt.

So I'll spend my day cutting cardstock as tomorrow is my monthly classes in CR.  I have a group joining me for the morning session & a group joining me for the afternoon session.  Becky & Cheryl are my hostesses this month!  We are suppose to get 1-3" of snow tonight & tomorrow morning.  I pray that the roads aren't slick, I make the 1 1/2 hour road trip to CR & that everyone joining me makes it to class & back home safely too!  Maybe we'll be lucky & the weather people will be wrong!!!

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

'Piece of Cake'

Oh how I love this stamp set- called 'Piece of Cake'!  It is just sooo cute!!  It has lots of words in it & such great versatility!

WOW- Look at this gorgeous lace vellum designer paper that we added to the bottom of this card.  It is from the Floral Romance Specialty DSP.  It look great with the coordinating Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8" Variegated ribbon.

And look closely- can you see how beautiful the new Lace Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder is!

To top it off & add more WOW about this stamp set- it has a coordinating punch too!   And you all know I love punches!  NOTE: but we didn't use the punch for this card.  As this punch is currently not available to order, as it was such a huge hit, SU! had to shut the number off on it.  It will be available to order around the middle of March.  This punch will also be available in the Annual Catalog that starts on June 1st too!
The cake pedestal & the flowers/leaves were colored with Stampin' Blends.

Yesterday we had freezing rain & ice and school ended up being cancelled.  So I only had the 2 little Wood kids.  And thankfully their parents made it home safely from New Orleans & they went home last night.  So I burnt the night cutting card stock!!!

Today will be a crazy day.  School is cancelled again due to the cold & ice!  So I'll have all of the kids.  We'll have to figure out things to keep us busy!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a busy day with kids.  The twins were here after school for awhile too!  When the Seeley boys were gone home, Masen, Ainslee & I made a quick trip to Osky to deposit our hog check.  We picked up a Pizza Ranch Pizza for supper & called it a night.  We were all beat!!

This morning school is delayed for 2 hours.....as of now due to the freezing rain.  So I'm not sure what the day will bring!

Nathan & Sarah are suppose to get home tonight.......so hopefully they will make it with the predicted snow coming later today too.  Tonight I have LOTS of card stock cutting to get done & things ready for my 4 stamp classes I have this weekend!

Gotta run.
I hope you have a GREAT Thursday!!

Botanical Butterflies DSP!

So one of the gorgeous Sale-a-bration choices this year is the Botanical Butterfly DSP.  You can choose it for free with a $50 product order.  It has different butterfly images on one side of 6 different sheets & then the back side it has great black & white images on it!!  This makes it so versatile!!

And what adds to the wow factor of this DSP is that the Butterfly Duet Punch coordinates with most of the butterfly images on it too!!

NOTE:  Due to the popularity of both of these products......the Botanical Butterfly DSP was on back order, but it now available again.  But the Butterfly Duet punch is not available until around April 1st!!!  This punch will also be available in the upcoming annual catalog in June!  So no worries......there is a delay in you getting it for right now, but you will be able to get it later on!  If you already have it- you are lucky!!!  And if you don't have it yet- be sure to add it to your wish list & get it when it becomes available again!

REMINDER:  Sale-a-bration items are while supplies last only as we get closer to the end of Sale-a-bration time!  If there is a Sale-a-bration item that you really want- be sure you don't wait to get it!

Yesterday was a long day!!  I'm use to kids being here many hours each day- but not day & night!  Ainslee was very clingy.  I think it is because she has 2 bottom molars coming in.  They are popped through now- so hopefully that will help!  Hopefully we all slept better last night!

This morning we are up early!  Deke is going to chore & then be back in by 7:15 to stay here with Masen & Ainslee while I go to town to the Seeleys.  I'll take the twins to school & Trey & I will head back out to our home & I'll spend my day with 3 little ones.  Deke will then head to courthouse for the morning & work on the farm this afternoon.

Tonight- humm......I have lots of card stock to get cut.  We'll see if that happens or not!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!

**Remember that they are all while supplies last- so don't wait if there is one that you really want!

Click here to see the  2nd release brochure
NOTE:  This brochure it is combined with the current Sale-a-Bration- so be sure scroll to second page to see the NEW choices!

LOOK at this NEW Embossing Folder Called Country Floral.  It is in the background of this card.  It is a Level 1 choice- FREE with a $50 product order.

This stamp set is called All Adorned.  It is a Level 1 choice- FREE with a $50 product order.

And this new Painted Seasons Bundle (stamp set & DSP) is a Level 2 choice- FREE with a $100 product order.

Oh- I pre-ordered these products yesterday (and paid expedited shipping on them) so I can have them to show & tell about at my stamp classes that I have this week!

So what do you think?  Do you like or love any of them?  I know I sure do!!  I can't wait to create & share using them!

Lasting Lily!

The bright & cheery card is another one that we made at my celebration 1 1/2 weeks ago.  Doesn't this card make you think of Spring!!  Gosh- I'm so tired of this winter & so ready for Spring!!

This stamp set is Sale-a-bration (free with a $100 order choice) called 'Lasting Lily'.  It is a distinktive stamp.  Thus it has lots of dimension with light & dark spots throughout each stamp image.  This type of an image doesn't need a super juicy ink pad or it doesn't show all of the dimension.  When I did a card using this stamp at my January classes- we used the stamparatus & an ink pad that I lightly removed some of the ink from (by taking my bone folder & moving the ink to the end of the stamp pad).  My upline Becky had us use a sponge dauber to ink the lily images here on this card.  It worked good doing it that way too.  It is all about learning to apply enough ink, but not too much!

*NOTES:
Thje Sale-a-bration Organdy ribbon on this card is not available to order right now- due to the HUGE demand of it.  SU! has shut off the item number.  HOPEFULLY it will be available again the middle of this month!  It is a very popular SAB choice.

ALSO the Gingham Gala DSP is currently on back order.  You can order it, but it won't ship until around the middle of this month.

stamp set:  'Lasting Lily'
card stock:
  • Thick Whisper White-  5 1/2 x 8 1/2- score at 4 1/4", fold in half for card base
  • Daffodil Delight- 3 3/8 x 5 1/4"
  • Whisper White- 3 1/8"x 5- stamp Lily's on this one; 1" strip to stamp words onto & cut out with framelit
designer paper:  Gingham Gala- 4 1/4 x 2"
ink:  Daffodil Delight, Old Olive
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies, Daffodil Delight SAB Organdy Ribbon, Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins, dimensionals, glue dots, Stamparatus

Yesterday was a busy day with the 5 kids.  We played games, built forts, made heart cut out Sugar Cookies, read lots of books, etc.  It was a fun & busy day!

Masen & Ainslee got here yesterday morning & they will be here with us until the mom & dad get home on Thursday night!  So last night we were all beat & went to bed shortly after Deke got home from his last meeting.

This morning I hope the kids sleep in a bit. I'll be up early to walk on the treadmill in the garage.  & It will then just be the 2 kids here with me today!  Trey will be with his mom for dentist appointments.  And the twins will be in school!  Hopefully tonight they go to bed early, as I have lots of card stock to get cut!

Gotta run....
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!

Lovely Lattice

Check out this pretty card using the 'Lovely Lattice' Sale-a-bration Stamp set!  You can get this for FREE with a $50 product order.

This is another one of the cards we made at my celebration event.   My upline Becky Hahn designed this card for a shoe box swap for us to make.
How was it done?
  1. Rub the Vellum card stock with your embossing buddy.
  2. Stamp the Lovely Lattice onto Vellum card stock, using Versamark ink pad.
  3.  Pour White Embossing Powder over it, tap it off.
  4. Then heat set the Embossing Powder- carefully so you don't get it too hot & wrinkle the Vellum- using your Heat Tool.
  5. Use your Stampin' Blends & color on the BACKSIDE of the embossed image.
  6. Add Pearls to the center of your flowers!
  7. Adhere the Vellum card stock to the front side of your Soft Sea Foam card base, using adhesive or glue dots around the outside edges.
  8. Cut out a frame to go around the outside edges, using your Stitched Rectangle Framelits & adhere this to the card front, using dimensionals to pop it up.
stamp set:  'Lovely Lattice'
card stock:
  • Soft Sea Foam- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4 & fold for card base
  • Whisper White- 5" strip- cut out rectangle with Stitched Rectangle Framelit to make frame

It was a great day of stamping yesterday with everyone that joined us for our N. Liberty monthly class!  I was beat when I got home last night.  Did some book work & finally called it a night.

Deke is off early this morning to chore & head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.  He'll then come home, work outside this afternoon/chore & head to Fairfield for 2 more meetings that he has later this afternoon/evening.

I'm off to go pick up the boys.  I'll spend my day with the 5 kids today, as there is no school today.  It is Teacher In Service Day.  Tonight when they go home I'll be a stamping- as I have 4 more classes yet this week!  So I have lots to get ready for.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

A litttle treat pouch!!

I made these little treats pouches!!  They work perfectly to add any little gift (or candy, etc) to them.

For this one I used the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies for the cut out on the front!  For the word one- that framelit just does the stitched embossing & then I used my Pretty Label Punch & punched it out.
The pouches are a 6x6" piece of DSP.  I used my Envelope Punch Board & punches score at the 3" mark on all 4 sides!  I used my Tear & Tape to hold the bottom flap up & then wrapped a belly band around it!
Looks how these Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots slide perfectly down into the pocket.

I have made several different versions of these little pouches & will post more information with photographs too so it will explain it a little better!

stamp set:  'Meant to Be'

Yesterday was a busy day that started out bright & early with selling pigs!  It was terribly cold!  The semi driver was late!  And I was froze when I got in.  I then had all 6 kids here for part of the day.  They played pretty good all together.  We played LOTS of games!  Masen is getting really good at Candy Land & knowing his colors!  Trey loves his FortNite Monopoly!  And Brayden liked playing his switch!  The twins played them all!  There highlight was having some hot chocolate with lots of mini marshmellows!  Guess we need to do that more often!

Last night when the kids went home I made a quick trip to Osky to deposit a hog check & pick up a few groceries.  Deke had a meeting & so we got home about the same time.  Got groceries put away, supper made, Deke did the dishes & I then worked on stamping stuff for awhile.  We finally called it a night about 11.  As last night was a short night & we were both just beat!

We are both up early this morning.  Nathan & Manda both have early meetings......so I'm headed to town to get kids!  I'll take the 3 big boys to school & spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Deke is up early to chore & he'll then head to Keosauqua to a meeting!

Tonight when the kids go home I'll be stamping away again!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!

It is Ground Hog day!  Do you think he will see his shadow???

It is suppose to start warming up some today.....I sure hope so.  We are all tired of frozen water lines, hard starting tractors, ice on the inside of the windows & the furnace never shutting off!
Gotta run.....
Happy Stamping!

This morning we are up at 5 & headed outside to mark, sort & load a semi of hogs.  Darn......it is going to be so cold.  The wind wasn't blowing yesterday- so that helped!  Hopefully it isn't this morning either.  I pray that the semi gets here on time, everything goes well with the pigs & the trucker makes it safely to the packing house & back home.

As of right now school is delayed for 2 hours.  So Nathan will bring their 3 kids early & then I'll go to town to get Trey & Manda will take the 3 big boys to school.  And I'll spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Brody has been fighting a temp for the past 2 1/2 days- so hopefully he is better this morning.  If not we might be making a trip to Bloomfield today to see Dr. Mary!

Wow- what a week of frigid cold temps!  Due to the -26* temps, all local schools & many businesses are closed today!  So- at the moment I think I'm home alone today with piles of things I hope to get caught up on.  Worst part about it is that it doesn't matter what the weather is like- there is always all of the chores to still do on the farm.  I don't have to help Deke today, but tomorrow morning it is only suppose to be 2* warmer (like a -24*) & we have to sell hogs!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
I pray that everyone (including all of our animals) can stays warm & safe!

'So Hoppy Together' on a Lily Pad!

This frog is from the 'So Hoppy Together' Sale-a-bration choice!!!  I just think he is so cute!!!  I have shared a few cards using him........but check out this one.  It is one of the cards we made at my celebration on Sunday.  Look at the sparkle!!!!

We stamped him onto a window sheet using Black Stazon ink.  And then colored him on the back side, using the Light & Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends!  There is a Sparkle Glimmer Paper behind the window sheet!!  That is how we got the sparkle! Then there is a oval frame around it- using the Stitched Framelits (oval) & the Layering Oval Framelits together!

Where did the lily's come from?  They are in the annual catalog on pg. 133 from the 'Lilypad Lake' stamp set.

I added some Wink of Stella over the Lily flowers, plus some ribbon & 3 of the Glitter Enamel Dots (Granny Apple Green) too to finish it.

Here are the supplies & the measurements for this card-

+++++++++
Yesterday school was delayed- so all 3 Wood kids were here for awhile.  When Manda brought Trey out she took Brayden to school too (along with the twins).  So I spent my day with the 3 little ones & then Brayden came here on the bus after school too.  When the kids left last night I worked on stampin' stuff!

This morning we'll see if school is on time or what is going to happen today!!  I'm planning on spending my day with the 3 little ones & have the 3 big ones here after school.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

A Million Dollar Celebration!

Yesterday my uplines- Becky Hahn & Shari Lackey-
had a Million Dollar celebration party for me!
Here are some of the photos!
My friend Lynda is giving me a GORGEOUS box with an AMAZING card & gift on the inside that my downline Dawn made & many of my team & adoptee's contributed to!
I'll get a photo of this gift sometime soon & post it too!
When I opened their gift- I did have some tears.
It is some gift cards for us to use when we go on our trip to Utah in March!!!
This is my daughter, Amanda- sitting beside me!!
I'm glad that they invited her & so happy she could join us for the day too!

The weather sure wasn't nice yesterday- but many of my downline & sidelines did make it!

Thank you to all that could make it to my party yesterday that Shari & Becky hostessed! It was a truly wonderful day!!! I appreciate them having this celebration for me & I am grateful to all of those of you that could join us (despite the weather)! I know we all had a great day celebrating together!! We had yummy food & delicious snacks, lots of cute projects for our Make & Takes, great displays & decor & great swaps! Thanks to everyone that brought me a congratulation card & a consumable SU! product gift! I'm honored to be a part of Stampin' Up! & I am so blessed by the many people that have been a part of my journey the past 17 1/2 years!
