Happy Mother's Day!!

Wishing all Mother's a Happy Mother's Day!!  I hope you enjoy your special day!!

Look at the lace underneath this butterfly.  Yep- I used the Bloomin' Hearts thinlit again.  I cut out the lace heart & then used the Butterflies Thinlits to cut out the little vellum butterfly to go over it.

I used the Bold Butterfly Thinlit to make the big butterfly that is on the bottom.  Isn't this a pretty card.  It was another one of the cards everyone got to make at my Spring Fling.
stamp set:  'Butterfly Basics'
card stock:  Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder, Vellum
designer paper:  Birthday Bouquet
ink:  Watermelon Wonder
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Bloomin' Hearts Thinlit, Bold Butterfly Framelits (Big Butterfly), Butterflies Thinlits (Small Butterfly), Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Yesterday was a busy day!!  I got the hog all cooked for Ginny's party & Deke helped me finish getting it ready to take to her party.  It was yummy!!  Her party was very nice!!  We enjoyed our evening visiting with many family members & friends.

It was late when we got home, as we helped Beckie & Randy clean things up.  We got our roasters  a soaking & then hit the hay!!

Woo Hoo!  I am home all day today!!  I am hoping the weather is nice, as I've asked Deke to help me work in the yard all day!  I love yard work & our poor yard has been neglected lately since we've both been so busy.  I am hoping we get alot done.

I'm not sure what we'll do tonight.  I'd like to just hang out at home.  We'll see what the day brings.

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

There are lots of flowers in the 'Garden Corner' background stamp!

I was playing when I created this card.  I wanted to think of some other ways to use the Bloomin' Hearts thinlits.  Check out the butterfly!

I did use alot of retiring products here on this card!  Read the list of supplies I posted below.

stamp set:  'Petite Pairs' (RETIRING) & 'Corner Garden' (RETIRING)
cardstock:  Blackberry Bliss (RETIRING), Whisper White, Vellum
ink:  Blackberry Bliss (RETIRING)
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Bloomin' Heart Thinlit, Bold Butterfly Thinlits, Large Oval Punch (RETIRING), Scalloped Oval Punch (RETIRING), Basic Pearls, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

This background stamp is really neat isn't it!  I like this monochromatic card.  But it would also be beautiful if you took the time to color each flower in too with your Aqua Painters, Blender Pens or our Stampin' Write Markers.

Check out the lace on the butterfly!  How did I do it?
  • I used Vellum card stock & cut out the Bloomin' Hearts Thinlit.
  • I used the big (solid) butterfly from the Bold Butterfly Thinlits & cut it out.
  • I attached the lace butterfly over the solid Blackberry Bliss butterfly using Glue Dots.

Yesterday the boys & I ran errands in the morning.  And then we got a few flowers planted & played outside too.  When they were all gone home I burnt the midnight oil working on trying to catch up with my piles of bookwork.

The guys went racing......Nathan got 5th in his heat.  In the main he got caught in a wreck & rolled his car.  THANKFULLY he is fine!  (Deke said he is sure that Nathan will be sore today though. )  The guys worked on the car under the caution & he went back out on the track for the main.  He ended up with a flat tired & did not get to finish the race.  Sarah & I got the text that he rolled & we were already in the car & headed to Columbus Junction, but thankfully didn't make it too far before we got the call from Deke that Nathan was fine.

Originally we had planned to go to Memphis & race tonight, but that isn't going to happen now.  The car is tore up pretty bad & the guys are gonna have to spend alot of time in the shop working on it before we can race again.  We'll see how today goes....Vinton races tomorrow night & we had planned to go there too.  That might happen & it might not.

I am up early this morning to cook a hog for my niece Ginny's graduation party that is tonight.  I have 5 big roasters of meat cooking & will make shredded pork sandwiches for everyone.  While the meat is cooking I hope to work on stamp stuff every spare minute I have today.

Tonight we'll be going to Ginny's party & we are looking forward to seeing many of our family members & friends there.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

'Party with Cake'

Here is a fun pop out card that was one of my Spring Fling cards.  I used the stamp set- 'Party with Cake'.  This stamp set is in the Occasions Catalog & one that will be also in the New 2016 Idea Book & Catalog on June 1st!  Yeah- I'm happy about this, as this is a great birthday stamp set.  It is one that I've used alot already & I look forward to being about to create more with it in the coming year too.
Some of the accessories I used on this card though are RETIRING-
  • Party Punch Pack (for the small candle)
  • 2 1/2" Circle Punch
  • It's My Party Designer Series Paper
  • It's My Party Enamel Dots
Hey- check out the inside of this card.  It pops out!  It is so cool!!  I used the Party Pop-Up Thinlit die to do this.  This Party Pop-Up Thinlits die coordinates with the 'Party With Cake' stamp set.  They are both in the Occasions Catalog & can be purchased together as a bundle until May 31st!

Don't you like how I added the strips of the It's My Party Designer Paper along the edges of the inside of the card too!  It sure adds alot to this card!

stamp set:  'Party With Cake'
card stock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Sahara Sand
designer paper:  It's My Party 12x12 Paper Stack (RETIRING)
ink:  Basic Black Archival, Crushed Curry (for the candle)
other:  2 1/2" Circle Punch (RETIRING), Party Punch Pack (small candle punch- RETIRING), It's My Party Enamel Dots (RETIRING), 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Party Pop-Up Thinlits Die

Yesterday morning the boys & I went to visit my mom & aunt Virginia in Keswick for a bit & then we played in the park for awhile.  It was a beautiful day out!  We sure enjoyed it.

When Manda got home from Drake's dr appointment, she took the boys home for their afternoon naps & I was home alone for a few hours to work on some farm stuff.  I then headed out to help Deke with the pigs for the evening.  It was late when we got in from there & got our supper over with.  I burnt the midnight oil working on bookwork.

This morning I'm off to go pick up the boys & spend my day with them.  We have a few errands to run this morning.  Then I'm hoping the weather is nice again & I bought some flowers the other night to get potted for my mom & Deke's mom for part of their Mother's Day gifts.  I am thinking the boys will love getting to help plant the flowers with me.

Tonight the guys are off to the races in Columbus Junction!  I am gonna stay home alone & work on getting piles of stamp stuff put away that is all over my dinning room.  I sure hope I get alot done.  I've just gotten buried & behind lately & I sure would like get everything all caught up on.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Here is a sneak peek!

Here are the NEW 2016-2018 In Colors!!

They are available to purchase on June 1st!!

I just love them!!
They are all beautiful!

Another beautiful ROSE!

Check out this pretty sponged rose! I love it!!

How did I do it?
  • I cut the Rose/Leaves thinlit from the Rose Garden Thinlit die, using Whisper White card stock, creating a rose stencil.
  • I laid the rose stencil onto a piece of Whisper White card stock that measured 3 3/4 x 5".
  • Using our sponge daubers I started in the center of the Rose & worked my way to the outside edges- sponging onto the whole rose- inside & a little outside the edges of it.  (Be careful to not let the rose stencil move, as you want to keep it in place, so that when you are finished sponging you have the white outline of the rose stencil- as shown above.)
  1. I started with the Daffodil Delight ink- all over the whole rose.
  2. Then used the Pumpkin Pie ink in the center of the rose.
  3. Then used the Pear Pizzazz on the leaves.
stamp set:  'Rose Wonder'
card stock:  Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White
ink:  Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Archival Basic Black
other: Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Extra-Large Oval Punch, Sponge Daubers, Dimesionals

You can CLICK HERE to read about the Rose framelit stencil that I used above.  It sure didn't go to waste!  I got 2 cards & 2 different roses, with different techniques out of using just one stencil.

Here is the beautiful rose card I made using the rose stencil I had left over from the above card!  You can check out the details about this card that are posted on my blog HERE!
This Rose was what I used for the template for the top rose card at the beginning of this post.
  • I put Versamark Ink all over the Rose thinlit cut out.
  • I put Clear Embossing Powder all over it.
  • I heated it with the Heating Tool.  (It is shiny & very pretty in person!)
  • I attached it directly to the Whisper White card stock using a 2 Way Glue Pen (RETIRING).
If you have any questions about either of these cards- don't hesitate to comment below or you can email me HERE!

QUESTION:
What stamp set did the words I used come from?
  • WOO HOO!!  They are also out of the 'coordinating Rose Wonder' stamp set.
  • I LOVE it when Stampin' Up! coordinates products like this!
Both of these rose card were projects everyone at my Spring Fling got to make!

We went to Brayden's last soccer game last night before we headed to the races.  Brayden's team won!  He started baseball practice this week too- so we'll be going to those games soon.

Nathan won his heat & came in 2nd in the main at the races.  It was a good night for him!  He looked really good!  Now for him to keep it up!  They are going racing again tonight in Donnellson.  I hope he has good luck down there.  Mark, Sarah & the boys will be going with him.  Deke & I will be home to work on the farm.

It was a late when the races were over & then I went & got groceries afterwards too......so it was after midnight when I pulled into our driveway.  I had a whole car load to carry into the house & get everything put away.  It was a short night for me on Tuesday night (as Mr. Trey didn't want to sleep)- so I was beat & need to get some sleep.  I put the cold things away & emptied the sacks, so I still have alot of groceries I need to get put away this morning.

I'm off to pick up my boys for the day- all except for Drake.  He has an allergy appointment with Dr. Ron today.  I am hoping that all goes well.

Then tonight when the boys are all gone I'll be headed out the farm & help Deke mark, sort & sell hogs.  So it will be a late night being gone again.

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a very special Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

A 'Grateful Bunch' flowers

Check out these pretty daisy flowers!  This is a really cool stamp set & I love that it has a coordinating punch to go with it.  Yellow flowers are probably my favorite!
***Notice the doily here behind the flowers.....it is one of our Metallic Doilies turned over.  This is actually the back side of it- but it is white- so worked perfect there for a neat added accent on this card.

Usually I put words on the outside of my cards & the inside of them too.  But here I didn't add any words.  I just couldn't find a spot to put them that I liked.  Everything that I tried I thought took away from the flowers.

This card is actually one I originally created for my Spring Fling.  BUT- I didn't end up using it.  I used one like it, but it was Melon Mambo colored & I'll share that one sometime here on my blog so that you can see it too.

stamp set:  'Grateful Bunch'
card stock:  Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Vellum
ink:  Crushed Curry, Old Olive
other:  Blossom Bunch Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch (retiring), Whisper White Satin ribbon (retiring), Basic Rhinestones, Iced Rhinestones (retiring), Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Metallic Doilies (used the back side of it)

Yesterday was a busy day with the boys.  They played yesterday morning outside & I pulled a few weeds.  It was late last night when the boys were all gone.  I then burnt the midnight oil working on stamping stuff!  And I still have piles to catch up on yet.

I'm off this morning to pick up the boys for the day.  Tonight we have the 3 Seeley boys all night long, as Manda & Steve has tickets to go see Garth Brooks in concert.  LUCKY them!!  Garth is a great entertainer & we love his songs.  The boys are happy they get to have a slumber party at Grandma & Papa's.  Drake asks almost weekly for a slumber party!!

Gotta run....
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!

A cute Bear!

Check out this cute bear!!  He is so stinkin' cute!  This card was one of my Spring Fling projects.  I wasn't sure what to do with this set so I found a couple of cute cards on Pinterest & combined them with my own little add on's, thus I came up with this card.  I can't wait to find time to play with this set & coordinating framelits some more.
Papa Bear is perfect for any special guy in your life!  And I have many visions for the little bear!

Check out the Pine Trees & coordinating punch.  These are both on the retiring list.

Yesterday was a full day of stamping!!  We had a great time!  I enjoyed my day & I think everyone else did too.   I'm glad that so many could join us.  The weather was cold, cloudy & rainy- so it was the perfect day for us to be inside & stamp together!!

I stopped to see my dear friend Judy on my way home last night.  I took her a bag of cards to finish assembling.  She was thrilled!!  I hope she feels like working on them this week.

It was late when I got home last night......I was beat.  I got supper & ending up falling asleep on the couch.

I'm up early this morning to get my car unloaded from yesterday's party & then I'll go pick up my boys for the day.

Deke is off early to chore & then he'll head to meetings.  He has his weekly board meeting this morning, another meeting this afternoon & another meeting tonight.  Hopefully he will have time to run home between meetings to chore & feed the pigs this afternoon.

Tonight when the boys go home I'll spend my night catching up on stamp stuff & entering orders from yesterdays party!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

Here is another beautiful rose card.  This was another one of my Spring Fling projects.

Last night we went to watch the boys play soccer.  Brayden's game ended up getting rescheduled so we went for an ice cream cone at Walkers & then back to watch the twins play their soccer game.

Afterwards Nathan & Sarah had us over for supper to celebrate Bradyen's birthday a couple of days early.  We had pizza & cupcakes!  And the boys ended up talking Uncle Nathan into a slumber party!  They were all headed to bed when we left.  I hope they ended up all going to sleep & sleeping all night long.

We have a full day in store for us.  This morning I'm up early & I will be a stamping fool.  I have my monthly class tomorrow & Ila is our hostess.  I can't wait to see everyone & share!

I have the 3 Seeley boys for a few hours this afternoon as Steven & Manda are taking prom photos for Sigourney.  Tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping & I'm hoping Deke will help me do some big shot cutting & embossing.

Another lovely rose!

This is another card everyone made at my Spring Fling!  It is a recessed rose.  We cut it out with the framelit & then I had them pop out the rectangle with dimensionals & then recess the rose by applying it directly to the Basic Black card stock.

Isn't it pretty!!  It is just really stunning in person.  And this lace ribbon was just the perfect accent to add to it.

stamp set:  'Rose Wonder'
card stock:  Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Whisper White
ink:  Basic Black Archival
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Extra-Large Oval Punch, Sahara Sand Lace Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, 2 Way Glue Pen, Silicone Craft Sheet

The boys & I ran errands yesterday morning.  And then home for them to pick what they were having for lunch since Papa wasn't going to be here again today.  Drake wanted pancakes....so that is what they had.  Pancakes, Bacon (of course) & tangerines.

Brayden & Masen were here in the afternoon & it was nice enough that the boys all played outside for awhile.  It was good to see them running off their energy.  When they were all gone home I headed out to work on the farm with Deke all night- marking, sorting & loading hogs.  When we got in I made a late supper & did farm bookwork the rest of the night.

This morning Deke is off early to chore again & head out to another meeting in Ottumwa today.  I'm off to pick up the boys.  We'll see what mother nature has in store for us.  Hopefully it will be nice enough we can play outside some.  Then tonight all 3 boys- Brayden, Brody & Drake all have soccer games.  Hopefully we have no rain!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!

A Blushing Bride Rose!

Here is a quick & cute card using the set- 'Rose Wonder'!  This card was one that everyone at my Spring Fling got to make.

What a nasty day outside it was  yesterday.....chilly, wet & windy.  The boys were bummed that they didn't get to play outside.....so we played with big leggo's!  When the boys left last night I worked on getting caught up on laundry & some bookwork.   I also have been working on cutting a friends wedding invites for her son/daugher-in-law & got them all cut, scored & folded.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & he is off to Ottumwa for 2 meetings.  I'm off to pick up the boys.  We have a few errands to run this morning if all works out.  I think today is going to be another nasty day outside- with crappy weather.  Tonight when the boys are all gone I'll be a farmer, helping Deke mark, sort & sell hogs.

I hope you have a very special Thursday!!

I created this card for an upcoming birthday- but it could be adapted for many different occasions.
Looks how I have the flaps fold inward & they cross each other.  Neat huh!!  And isn't the little balloon bouquet cool too!

Yesterday was a full day with the boys.  It was so nice out.  We are loving this spring weather & being able to play outside.  They got to play in the sand box, swing & ride their trikes.

Last night we all went to Brayden's school music program, then picked up Casey's Pizza & had supper together in the new city park/playground.  The boys had fun playing.  And we then went to Walkers Drive Thru for ice cream!  I worked on catching up on emails & bookwork a little when we got home.

This morning I'm off early to pick up the boys for the day.  We have to make a quick run to Osky to the bank & our CPA's this morning.  Tonight when the boys leave I'm going to get my hair cut & I will then come home & burn the midnight oil cutting card stock.
