More 'First Sight'

This is an anniversary card I made for a special upcoming anniversary!  Isn't is pretty?  I used the 'First Sight' stamp set again!  It is clean & simple- yet I love it!  This might end up being a card for my upcoming All Occasions Card Class.....we'll see!  If we changed the words on this card it could be very versatile & for almost any occasion couldn't it?
The words are from the set- 'Timeless Love'.

stamp sets:  'First Sight' & 'Timeless Love'
card stock:  Basic Gray, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
ink:  Archival Basic Gray

When the boys went home I placed orders & worked on Stampin' stuff all night last night burning the midnight oil.

This morning I'm off to go pick them all up & we'll take Brayden to school.  Hopefully it is another nice day out- as yesterday we got to play outside some.  We are all so excited to have some fresh air & burn off some energy running outside!

Tonight I plan to be home & will be burning the midnight oil again stamping!  I have lots of creating & cutting to do for my upcoming classes this week.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

They finally got Deke's ring fixed, so we made a quick trip to Fairfield last night to pick it up.  Sarah & Masen were down there setting up for today's Farm Show, so we picked up Nathan & ate a quick supper with them in Fairfield.  When we got home I burnt the midnight oil stamping.

I'm up early this morning & I will be spending my day stamping!  I still have cards to create & everything to get cut for tomorrows class.  I've had good mojo so far- so praying it continues.

Deke is home today & is hoping to get the grower all powerwashed out.

This evening our family will be headed to Osky for my step-dad Dick's 80th Birthday supper!  We are looking forward to seeing many family members & step siblings/families there.  All our kids/families will be going with us, except for Brayden, as he is at his moms this weekend.  When we get home tonight I'll be working on cutting card stock.  Hopefully Deke will help me & do some of the Big Shot cutting & embossing.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!
Happy Stamping!

He's a cute CHICK!

Here is a cute little chick!  He is from the Sale-a-bration stamp set- 'Honeycomb Hello'.  I think that he just pump & adorable!!

stamp sets:  'Honeycomb Happiness' & 'Botanicals for You'
Both of these are Sale-a-bration stamp sets & you can earn them until 3/31/16 with a qualifying $50 order.
card stock:  Crushed Curry, Basic Black & Whisper White
designer paper:  Botancial Gardens DSP
ink:  Basic Black Archival
marker:  Crushed Curry
other:  2 1/2" Circle Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Paper Snips

This chick bring back lots of fond memories for me...... as years ago my grandparents had chickens.  I loved it when April rolled around & we got new baby chicks on their farm.  It was always around Easter time & it also meant that Spring was almost here!  I have pictures of me sitting in the middle of the chicken coop with baby chicks all around me.  I remember well getting those baby chicks in & getting to hold them too.  I also learned to gather & wash eggs, butcher chickens & pluck out feathers, plus we also made yummy homemade noodles too.  WOW- I learned so much on their farm & I was so blessed to live only 2 miles from them growing up.  I got to spend every Friday night at their home & go to town with them every Saturday morning.  I learned so much from them & I treasure those memories so much!
+++++
Last night was a late night working on our farm with the piggies.  By the time we got in, had showers, made supper, did dishes, etc.....it was almost time to go to bed.

This morning I'm off to pick up my boys for the day!  Tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping- creating for my upcoming March stamp classes.  I have lots of ideas & pray that I have good mojo & all just clicks!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Happy Stamping!

A vintage card using 'First Slight'!

This is kinda of a vintage style card......usually not my normal, but I was having fun playing with this set- 'First Sight'.  I'm amazed at all of the different looks that can be achieved with this set.

So what do you think?  I really like it.....and it is clean & simple, yet elegant.  Depending on what else I end up coming up with for cards, this might be a card that I use for my upcoming 'All Occasions' card classes that I am hosting later this month.  This card could easily be a wedding, anniversary, birthday or for almost any occasion.  I think the accents with the little flowers & pearls & then the Whisper White Organza ribbon just really dress it up.

stamp set:  'First Sight' & 'Perfect Pairings' (SAB choice)
card stock:  Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black & Whisper White
ink:  Archival Basic Black
other:  Banner Triple Punch, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (small flower), Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

The boys were feeling much better yesterday!  It is amazing what an antibiotic can do.  I hope they slept good last night.  And I hope we are all on the uphill side.

Masen hung out with G'ma last night while his daddy & Papa worked in the shop & his mom was at a meeting.  When he left I burnt the midnight oil stamping!

This morning I'm off to pick up the boys for the day.  Deke is gone again today....he has 2 meetings again.  When the boys leave we'll spend our night working late on the farm together, as tonight is my farmer night helping Deke.

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!

My 'Flowering Fields' 12x12 Framed Sampler!

Here is my 12x12 Framed Sampler I made using the Sale-a-bration set- 'Flowering Fields'.  The colors match the decor in my living room/dinning room, so if I choose to do so, I can leave it out all year round.  Look closely at the images I stamped from the set- 'Timeless Textures' on the background of the Whisper White squares.   I wanted to add more dimension to it.
stamp sets:  'Flowering Fields' (SAB) & 'Timeless Textures'
card stock:  Kraft- 12x12; Whisper White- 8 1/2 x 8 1/2; Basic Black- 8 x 8; Crumb Cake- 9 squares= 2 1/4 x 2 1/4; Whisper White-9 squares= 2x2
ink:  Crumb Cake, Archival Basic Black
markers:  Hello Honey, Old Olive
other:  Clear Wink of Stella & Burlap Ribbon (3 strings)- 8" for ribbon, dimensionals

How did I do that?
  • Using the Crumb Cake ink pad & 'Timeless Textures' stamp sets- I used different stamps from this set & stamped over the top of each of the 2x2 Whisper White squares
  • Using the faint line image stamp from 'Timeless Textures' & the Crumb Cake ink pad, I went around the entire outside edge of the 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White Square.
  • Using the different  flower/leaf images from 'Flowering Fields', I stamped them using Archival Basic Black ink
  • Using Hello Honey & Old Olive markers I colored in the flower & leaves.
  • I used the Clear Wink of Stella over the Hello Honey flowers.

Yesterday was another long day with the boys being sick.  I took the 3 Seeley boys to the dr.  They all got medicine for ear infections & coughs & hopefully they are all better soon.  Thankfully Deke was home to work on the farm all day today (his only day he is here all week), so he stayed with Masen for the 2 hours I was gone to the dr with the other boys.   Last night when Masen went home I burnt the midnight oil stamping!

This morning I'm off to go pick up the boys for the day.  I hope they slept good last night & we have a good day today.  When everyone leaves tonight I'll be spending my night burning the midnight oil stamping again.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a busy day with the boys.  Their coughs were a little better, so we put off taking them to the dr.....hoping they slept good last night & are on the uphill side to getting better.  If not I'll run them to the dr today.

Tonight when the 3 boys leave we'll take Masen & run to Fairfield.  Deke's ring didn't end up being done on Saturday for us to go get, so hoping it is done today when I call about it & we can get it back.

I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping again tonight!  I've been a stampin' fool & still have lots more creating to do for all of my upcoming March classes!

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!

Bradyen helped Papa on the farm & in the shop all day yesterday.  Nathan came out late morning & hung out with them in the shop too.  Masen hung out with G'ma in the morning & then went home with his mom.  He sure doesn't like me to get out of his sight....guess he is just a little spoiled huh!  Thus I don't get much done when he is here.  After he left I spent my afternoon stamping!!  I had good mojo & I got several cards created.  I still have piles & lots to get done this week.  I pray my good mojo continues & I have time to get everything done!

Last night we went to Manda's for a couple of hours to eat supper with them & visit, as Steve was gone.  Papa played the Wie with the boys & I helped her. When we got home I burnt the midnight oil stamping.

This morning I'm off to pick up the boys & spend my day with them.  They've had a bad cough & sick since last week, so I'm going to try to get them into the dr today.   Deke is off early to chore & then he has his weekly board meeting at the courthouse.

Tonight when all of my boys go home I will be burning the midnight oil stamping again.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!

Happy Birthday!!

Check this out!  Here is another fun card that everyone joining me at my monthly classes made this month.  I think it turned out cute!
It is a fun fold card too!  It is a match box card!  And don't you love the cute thinlit words too!  I colored the words using sponge daubers to add color to the white card stock.

stamp set:  'Party With Cake'
card stock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry
designer paper:  Have a Cuppa Paper Stack
ink:  Basic Black Archival, Crushed Curry & Bermuda Bay
other: Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Party Pop-Up Thinlit, Bermuda Bay ribbon, Dimesnionals, Glue Dots, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Big Shot Die Brush, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Sponge Daubers

Notice the little balloons I added to the inside of it too, using the Balloon Bouquet Punch.

See how you can flip the front down into the folded up part on the bottom of the card to hold it shut.  I didn't add any adhesive along this bottom edge.  I just used the ribbon to secure/hold it shut.  If you don't want to make it a match box fold card, then add a few glue dots along the folded up edge & you can make this into a gift card holder!
Here are the measurements I used for the white card stock.
It is a 4 x 11" piece of card stock & I then scored it at 1 1/4 & 6 1/2".
I then put a piece of Basic Black 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" layer behind it to make it a standard card size.
+++++
Yesterday morning we ran lots of errands.  The boys did good!!  We went to the bank so they got suckers!  And they got to run around in Skunks shop.  And they got to visit almost every office in the courthouse too!

Yesterday afternoon after work it was so nice, so Steve took the 3 older boys (Brayden, Brody & Drake) & they walked along the pond & in the back fields looking for the shedding of deer antlers.  Trey, Papa & I went back to check on them in the Scout.  The didn't find any antlers, but they saw lots of live deer.

Last night Deke & went to Fairfield to get his wedding ring fixed.  We ran to Walmart & bought a new TV, as ours in the kitchen died.  We also ate supper out at one of their Mexican restaurants- which was yummy!!

This morning Cindy & Theresa are coming to design wedding invitations.  I'm then off to get my hair all cut off short again.  And then Brayden & Masen will be spending the afternoon/evening with us.  We are going to make a quick trip back to Fairfield to get Deke's ring too.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!!
Happy Stamping!

"just for you"

Check out this cool card & fun technique!  Have you ever done a shadow along the edge of words before?  I used the White Chalk Marker here to do the shadowing along these words.

First I stamped the words using the Calypso Coral Ink pad.  And then I just drew along the edges of the words where I wanted it to be shadowed like.

This was one of the cards that everyone made at my monthly classes this month.  It is actually a fun fold easel card too!  Check it out below with it opened up.  Wow- this card could be for many different occasions.
stamp sets:  'Botanicals for You' (SAB), 'First Sight' & 'Timeless Treasures'
card stock:  Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White, Calypso Coral
ink:  Calypso Coral & Tip Top Taupe
other:  Tip Top Taupe Lace Trim, Basic Rhinestones, Sweetheart Punch, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, White Chalk Marker, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Hearts Border Punch

+++++
Last night after the boys went home, I was home alone, as Deke had a meeting.  So I spent my night working on stamping stuff.

Today is another fun day with my boys.....I'm off to go pick them up.  We have a bunch of errands to run this morning- so hope that all goes well.  Tonight Deke & I are going to Fairfield.  He needs his wedding ring resized & we'll get a few groceries, etc. while we are out of town.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- 'What I Love'!

Oh gosh.....these words= Stampin' Up! & What I Love- I could go on & on with this!!  You all know I love LOTS of Stampin' Up! things & things about Stampin' Up!

Here is another one of the cards that everyone joining me to stamp at my February classes got to make.

This card is created with a very pretty 2 step stamp set that is a Sale-a-bration choice.  It is called- 'What I Love'!  There is alot of detail in the the stamp images in this set.
stamp set:  'What I Love' & 'Sunburst Sayings' (for the inside words)
card stock:  Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
ink:  Wild Wasabi, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
other:  Big Shot, Elegant Dots, Wisteria Wonder ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dot, Iced Rhinestone Embellishment
I did a fun fold here......you know me- just to be different!

And the colors I used are 2 of my favorites- Wisteria Wonder & Wild Wasabi......as they remind me of my Grandma Cox.

Above is what the card looks like opened up.  And here are the measurements:
Wisteria Wonder- 4 x 5 1/4; 5 1/4 x 1 1/4 (emboss); 4 1/4 x 2 1/2
Wild Wasabi-  5 1/2 x 5 3/4- score at 4 1/4"; 4 1/2 x 2 3/4
Whisper White-  4 x 2 1/4; 4 x 2 1/4
+++++
Yesterday I spent my day with all of my boys.  Masen was here late, as Sarah had a meeting after work.  And with Nathan's cast- he still can't even pick up or do anything with Masen yet.  When Masen left I got some things done around the house- laundry, cleaning, etc.  Deke was gone most of the day, as he had 2 meetings- so we didn't see much of him.  Last night it was late when he got in from choring & working in the shop.

This morning we are both off early again.  I'm headed in town to pick up the boys for the day.  And Deke is off to chore & then he has 3 meetings today.  Two of them are this morning in Ottumwa & the other one will be tonight in Sigourney.  So it will be late again when he gets home to chore & in the house tonight.  Since I think I'll be home alone tonight, I hope to get to do some stamping when the boys are all gone.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!
