A snowman!

Isn't this a cute snowman card?  Check out his "white snowballs".  He was stamped onto vellum card stock with a black stazon pad & then the back side of the vellum was rubbed with a stylus.

I did this technique earlier this year on a flower card.  You can see that card HERE!

This snowman card was shared by someone at Founders in our hospitality room.  I have no clue whose it was- so can't give them credit for it.  If it is your card or you know whose it was- let me know!

I burnt the midnight oil working on stamping stuff.  Poor Deke was late getting home from his last meeting last night too.  We were both beat when we finally hit the hay.

Deke is home to work on the farm today.  His friend Bill is bringing his backhoe & they will hopefully get a pulled tile fixed.  He'll then be working on disinfecting the nurseries & get them put back together, as we are about ready for our new baby piggies to arrive next week.

I'm off to pick up all of my boys.  We may have an interesting day.  Our electricity it going to be shut off for about 4 hours this morning.....so.....I'll try to keep the boys entertained playing games & working on their flash cards.  Hopefully the sun is shinning so it isn't dark in the house.

Tonight I have the boys late, as Manda has to work late & Steve it out of town for a few days/nights for work.  When the boys go home after supper I will be switching to one of my other jobs- working on farm books.  We have a pre-tax appointment coming up & I have TONS to do for it.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

I've had a crazy busy past 4 days with 5 stamp classes during that time.  At all of my December classes we make 2016 calendars.  They turned out super cute & I hope to get photos of them & will be posting them this week so that you can see them.

Lori was my hostess at my class yesterday & we all had a fun time together stamping!  After my class my friend (& downline) Laura & went to visit our friend (& downline) Judy in the hospital.  It was GREAT to see Judy!  I talk to her daily- but haven't seen her for a few weeks.  I am so glad I got to see her.  I took her a Christmas card kit & hope she feels like getting the all put together this week.  I will stop again & see her next Sunday night & hope to take her calendars at that time to put together.  I know she missed stamping......so I'm trying to keep her busy!

This morning I'm off to pick up my boys.  School gets out early today & Manda will come get them.  I'll be attending Judy's sister (Lora Helm's) funeral this afternoon.  It is going to be a very SAD day.....as Lora was so young (only 49) & had so much life yet to live.  She was definitely an angel on earth & she touched many hearts.  She'll be missed greatly by many people.  I've known her all of her life.  And her passing has just been heartbreaking for so many.

Deke will be gone all day to meetings.  He has 2 this morning, one this afternoon & one tonight....so he'll not be home until late tomorrow night & still have to chore somewhere in between or late tomorrow night.

I plan to work on calendars for my upcoming classes that I have next weekend, since I'll be home alone.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

This week has been crazy with sick boys, pigs, lots of hours cutting card stock & having 5 stamps classes this week/weekend too.  I sure had a fun group that came to stamp with me again yesterday here at our home.

I burnt the midnight oil again last night preparing for today's calendar class.  I need to finish packing up & am headed out the door soon for my monthly N. Liberty group.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone & stamping again!

I'm going to stop & visit my dear friend Judy tonight at the hospital on my way home & I'm so looking forward to getting to see her.

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy stamping!

Another Sneak Peek!

Here is another sneak peek using the new set called- 'Birthday Blooms' from the upcoming Occasions Catalog.  This is a cool new set & I've already shared a few samples using it & have some more yet to share.

Oh my....yesterday was a long day.  Drake is sick..... (so Steve is taking him to the dr this morning).  I pray that no one else gets whatever he has.  He is running a high temp & sick to his stomach.  Poor little guy!

Last night I had several come to make calendars with me & have a house full coming tonight to make them too.

Gotta run to pick up the other 4 boys & take Brayden to school.  Deke is gone all day today for a meeting in Ottumwa.

I helped Deke move pigs last night for a few hours.  And then I cut card stock all night long.  I've been a card stock cutting fool into the wee hours of the morning lately getting all of the calendar pieces ready for everyone to come make with me at my upcoming classes I'm having the next 10 days.

I off this morning to pick up all of my boys for the day.  Then tonight I have a group coming to our home to make their 2016 calendars with me.  Deke is home to work on the farm all day today.  He's gonna have a long day/night.  As he'll load 2 semi's of hogs alone tonight since we got them all sorted last night.  And then he'll move little piggies (50 #'s) from the nursery into the finishing building before he quits tonight.

I've gotta run......
I hope you have a very special Thursday!

Yesterday I spent my day doing bookwork for the farm & made a quick trip to the bank to deposit our hog check.  I did pick up a few groceries too while I was in Osky.  Last night Deke & I watched a movie & went to bed early.  We've both been burning the candle at both ends & just beat.  And we both have another super busy week we are trying to get geared up for.

We were both up early this morning, as Deke is trying to get ready for our new baby piggies that come in a couple of weeks.  I'm trying to get caught up on my things so that I can get my 4x4 calendars all created for this weeks upcoming classes.

Gotta run......

card stock:  Pool Party, Whisper White
ink:  Pool Party, Smokey Slate

Measurements:
  • 8 1/2 x 11" card stock
  • score in the middle at 5 1/2"
  • score 2 1/4" along bottom
  • fold up the 2 1/4" to form a pocket
  • I did "V" the center bottom 2 1/4" a little so that it wasn't as bulky when folded.
  • I did not use any adhesive.
  • I used a ribbon belly band that will slide on & off to hold it shut.
Here is is opened up with cards & envelopes in it.
I've posted all of these cards previously over the past 2-6 weeks.  This set was one of my Holiday Extravaganza projects from my class last month.

We had a fun day with our family yesterday for Thanksgiving!  It is always fun to see big & little cousins together.  Everyone was there yesterday but one niece & one nephew.

Last night was a cold & wet night on the farm.  I can honestly say we've loaded hogs in lots of bad weather before- but the rain & cold combo last night was awful!  We were both soaked clear through & freezing by the time we got in the house.  I made a cup of hot chocolate for us & then had a hot shower to try to warm up.

Today I have the day off of work from my normal daytime job.  I actually think I'll be home alone for a change.  I will be catching up on farm bookwork & piles of things that I'm behind on.  I need to run to the bank & stop to get a few groceries too.  I hope to get alot accomplished today as I have lots of stamping I need to get done this weekend too.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Happy Stamping!

Last night I spend my evening cooking food to take for our Thanksgiving Dinner.  I made 2 batches of homemade noodles (that was requested last weekend by 3 of my nephews).  I use my Grandma Coxes  recipe & they are yummy!

Today we are going to my sister Beckie & Dan's for lunch with all of our familes.  Then we'll head home to work on the farm.  I'll be a farmer helping Deke this afternoon/evening.  We sell 2 semi loads of hogs tonight- so it will be a late night outside.....and in the rain to top it off!

Wishing you all a very special day this Thanksgiving Day!!

May we all count our blessings!  I know I have alot to be very thankful for.  And my many friends that I stamp with are definitely on my thankful list!  I treasure each of you!!
