Another Stampin' UP! Sneak Peek

Good morning!

Here is another NEW Sneak Peek from the Spring Catalog.

WOW- yesterday was a snow day & I spent my day stamping in my studio.  I now have 4 swaps done that I'm in.  So- I'm half way done!  And have to have them all done & in the mail by Monday.  If school is cancelled again today I'll be a busy stamper again.

I'm going to Manda's today to keep the boys.  If the roads aren't too bad we'll come out here later.  I just hate having to take them out early in the morning in the dark & cold with crappy weather on top of it.

Pekin Schools already cancelled  for today due to the terrible roads.
Sure wish Sigourney Schools would at least do a 2 hour late start!

Isn't this a simple & pretty card?
It is one that I did with my girls at my downline meeting last Saturday.
Alot of items on this card are created with a NEW "KIT"!
Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit (Crumb Cake die, flower, brad & stamp set) used on this card
cs:  Pool Party & Daffodil Delight
Sale-a-bration- Sycamore Street Designer Paper
ink:  Pool Party
other:  1" circle punch, dimensionals, glue dots
Sale-a-bartion- Sycamore Street Pool Party ribbon

I hope you have a great day!
Drive careful!
Stay warm!
Happy Stamping!

Another Stampin' UP! Sneak Peek from the Sping Catalog

Good morning!
Here is another "Sneak Peek" of the new little butterfly punch that is in the NEW Spring Catalog.

'Wishes Your Way'
cs:  Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango
ink:  Black Stazon
supplies:  Bitty Butterfly punch, Postage Stamp punch, 1 3/8" Square punch, Basic Rhinestones, dimensionals, glue dots

This is such a cute & simple card that I did for the girls at my downline Christmas Get-to-Gather last Saturday as one of their shoe box swaps.  I am also doing this card for a swap that I'm in with my demonstrator friend Kelly.

I love this little butterfly punch!

Note:  Can you tell I punched out the butterfly from a Very Vanilla strip; then used the Post Stamp punch & punched out the butterfly image; then punched out a square of colored card stock using the 1 3/8" square punch & put behind it; finally punched out a butterfly with the coordinating card stock to make the butterfly pop up & attached with a glue dot.

School is cancelled here today.  So I'm home!  I have TONS of stamping to do.  Will be in my studio all day.  I started soaking beans yesterday & got a big cured ham roast at the locker yesterday, so will be making ham & beans & cornbread for us in the crock pot.

We don't have much snow.....just a dusting, but got lots of sleet & slush.  The wind is blowing terrible though.  If we would have gotten the snow we were suppose to have had- the drifts would be awful!

TODAY is Manda & Steve's 4th anniversary!  They were married on 12/20/08.  It was a beautiful wedding that turned into a snowstorm.  Lots of family & friends still joined us for the celebration.  They are an amazing couple!!  They have been together for 14 years (since they started dating).  Wishing them a special day & many more to come!

Hope you have a safe day!
Be careful, stay warm & dry.
Happy Stamping!

My June calendar page!

Good morning!

Here is my June calendar page.

'Everything Eleanor', 'Itty Bitty Banners' & 'Papillon Potpourri'
cs:  Rose Red, River Rock, Whisper White
ink:  Rose Red
marker:  Rose Red
supplies:  Elegant Butterfly, 1 3/8" circle punch, dimensional, glue dot

WOW- today is the calm before the storm!  We are going to get lots of snow & blowing snow!  Winter is here!

I am so glad we sold hogs last night & didn't have to deal with the snow storm tonight!

The boys & I have several errands to get done today.  I have to go to the recycling center & the locker.

Tonight we were going to have a few friends over for supper for Manda & Steven's anniversary (which is tomorrow), but afraid the storm coming may postpone that until next week.  I don't want anyone to be on the roads if they are bad.

Wonder if school will be postponed or cancelled for tomorrow?  If they have it I won't be home.....I'll go into Manda's & stay there with the twins so that we don't have to take them out & she doesn't have to drive on our gravel road.  Guess we'll see what happens & decide in the morning.

I hope you have a good day!
Safe travels!
Happy Stamping!

A Stampin' UP! Sneak Peek.....from the NEW Spring Catalog!

Good morning!
WOW.....I had my downline Christmas Get-to-Gather on Saturday & this is one of the cute cards that I made as a shoe box swap for my gals.  You are getting the chance to see a sneak peek at some of the new products coming up in the Spring Catalog & Sale-a-bration Flyer.

First of all......do you notice the silver center piece?  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!!  This is one of our new Soda Pop Tops.  They come in 2 different sizes in the pkg (8 each).  The one shown is the smaller one.  But they are raised & I felt it would be very hard to use on a mailable card.......so I smashed it with my Big Shot!  Yes I did!  It was easy.....and Brayden did them for me!  (I will post for you how to do this sometime after Christmas!)
'A Little Greeting' (NEW)
cs:  Night of Navy, Very Vanilla
Sycamore Street Designer Paper (NEW- Sale-a-bration)
flower:  created with the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit (NEW)
supplies:  Big Shot, Soda Pop Top (NEW),Vintage Trinkets, In Color Dahlias, Jewelry Tag punch, Victoria Crochet Trim, Denim Jean Ribbon, dimensionals, glue dots

Yesterday we had lots of company!!  My mom & Aunt Virginia came to visit us in the morning.  Then Aunt Kathy came to visit us in the afternoon.  Deke's parents (Betsy & David) came to visit us in the evening & ate supper with us.  Deke's family has a tradition of eating wilted lettuce & dumplings as a family favorite meal.  Thus Deke made them for us for supper last night.  It was nice getting to visit with everyone.

Tonight we sell hogs.  Glad that we are doing them tonight instead of tomorrow night- as it sounds like Iowa will be getting some snow!

Our nephew Caleb is such a lucky young man.  Please continue prayers for him.  They put a halo on him early yesterday morning & the drs are happy with the results.

Have a great day!!
Happy Stamping!

My May calendar page......

Good morning!

Here is my May calendar page.  Doesn't it look springy?    I did the direct to paper image on the background of the Pink Pirourette- which you can see if you look closely- to give it a little texture look.

'Lacy & Lovely' & 'Easy Events'
cs:  Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
ink:  Black Stazon
markers:  So Saffron, Certainly Celery & Wisteria Wonder
other:  Basic Pearls, 1 3/8" square punch, dimensional

Yesterday my little man- Brayden spent the better part of the day with me.  (As he was in the shop with his dad, but you know- it is more fun to come visit grandma!)  I had tons to do in my Stamp Studio so he joined me out there.  I put him to work running the Big Shot for me.  Sometime in the next week or so I'll post pictures of him helping me & share with you a new thing he was doing with it!!!  In our NEW Spring catalog there are metal soda pop caps (2 different sizes in pkg) that you can purchase!  Oh there are so many possibilities to do with them!!  I can't wait for you to see what we did!!  I shared this at my downline meeting on Saturday & the girls thought it was so cool!  I agree- it is!

Our nephew Caleb Wood was in a very serious automobile accident early yesterday morning.  He is in intensive care in Iowa City with a fractured 3C vertebra & several cuts & lacerations.  Please keep him in your prayers.  He is only 25 years old & a VERY LUCKY young man.  The drs are very positive & we are hoping for the best.

My mom & Aunt Virginia are coming down this morning to visit the twins & me.   We are looking forward to that!

I hope you have a great week!!!!
Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for another stamping project.
Happy Stamping!

My April calendar page!

Good morning!

WOW- yesterday I had my group Christmas Get-to-Gather downline meeting at our home!  What fun it was!!  It was a day of great company & cute projects that were created with new products from our upcoming NEW Spring Catalog & Sale-a-bration flyer too!  I know it is a busy time of the year so I'm thankful so many joined me.   We sure missed the gals that couldn't make it.  But we will all be getting together in January again for another group meeting & we'll have a huge crowd then with all of my adoptee's too!

Manda & Steve had a wedding yesterday so we kept the twins all day.  They were really good!  Thankfully Papa stayed in the house for a few hours yesterday afternoon & helped with them.  They sure had fun in my Stamp Studio with my downline gals when Papa went out to chore.  I think they are going to be good stampers some day!

I was just wiped out last night.......as I didn't get but a couple of hours of sleep as I spent Friday night stamping away in my Studio.  I slept like a rock when I finally got to bed.  Today I'm home all day!!  I have tons of paperwork to catch up on & things to do.  I have several Sympathy cards I need to make & get sent out too.  I hope I get alot done today!!

Here is my April calendar page.  I love the clouds!

'Up, Up & Away'
cs:  Marina Mist, Yo Yo Yellow & Whisper White
ink:  Marina Mist
marker:  Yo Yo Yellow
other:  sponge, Fancy Flower punch (connected 3 of them together to make a cloud image & sponged around the top side of it), dimensional

Drake was pouting.
Notice the beautiful snowman too that is sitting by them.
He is a gift from Devonee & Lynda & I think he is adorable!

Last night Deke went with me on my stamp delivery run.  We ate supper at Olive Garden & then went to Paul's to buy Christmas gifts for the boys.  They are getting tractors & so got most of what we needed to get.  I need to run to Osky & Williamsburg next week sometime to finish up a couple little things.  Time has gotten away from me again this year & I can't believe I don't have anything done for Christmas yet.

Today I'm hoping the boys play well together as I need to catch up on things here.  I need to get things from my calendar classes all put away in my stamp studio & it cleaned up.  Then tonight I will be stamping the night away!!  I get to play with all of my new Spring Catalog products that came last Thursday & Friday!  I haven't even opened the boxes yet.  :(  But tomorrow I have my downline Christmas Get-to-Gather- so have to get everything ready to share with my team!  I can't wait to see all of them that are joining me & spend our time together stamping!

Hope you have a great day!
Happy Stamping!

12/13/12
1:25 p.m.
Here is an update on Brody.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts & prayers. Brody did great with the MRI & sedation today!! Lonnie (Dr. Menezes assistant) thinks he is doing great! Dr. Menezes is on vacation right now though so we are unsure if another surgery will be needed until he gets back & reads the results. It could be awhile before we hear from him & know anything. Please continue keeping Brody in our prayers. Thank you!
Love & Blessings-
SUSIE & DEKE

A snowman for January.......

Good morning!

In December each year I don't do cards at my workshops..... we make calendars!  They are 4x4 in size & are connected with jump rings & stand up nicely on your desk or counter, etc.  I have many customers that join me for this annual event & make one calendar for themselves, while many customers make multiple calendars & give them as Christmas gifts!

Here is my January 2013 calendar!

'Button Buddies'- snowman
'Winter Memories'- words
'Jolly Bingo Bits'- snowflake
cs:  Real Red, Whisper White, Bashful Blue
ink:  Black Stazon, Bashful Blue
marker:  Real Red
supplies:  1 3/4" circle punch, Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta ribbon, glue dot, dimensional

Today Brody goes to Iowa City for a brain MRI.  It was a year ago on Sunday, (12/9) that he had his surgery.  WOW- how fast the past year has gone & how blessed we all are.  What a special little boy Brody is.  He is a true blessing!  You'd never know from looking at him, nor by his actions can you tell that anything was every wrong with him- other than the helmet he now wears to protect his skull/brain until his bones close in.  We will see what path we will be going down next.  I pray that all is well.  I am hoping that he doesn't need another surgery, but if he does I hope that he can get it done sooner than later & onward we will go!  Brody has an amazing Dr. Menezes, for which we are all so very thankful for him & his awesome team!  Please keep Brody in your prayers.  Prayer is so powerful!

It is just Drake & me today!  He stayed over night with us last night since Brody had to be in Iowa City early this morning.  Papa is home today for a change- so he'll come in from the farm to eat lunch with us.

Tonight I will be meeting my gals from my IC group to deliver their stamps.  Deke is going to go with me & we are going to do some Christmas shopping.  I haven't bought anything yet.  And time is nearing that I must get alot done!

I hope you have a blessed day!
Happy Stamping!

Our Boys!

Grandma tried to take a picture of the boys today to put into my New Years card......what a task! Brayden was great! He was so much help! The twins on the other hand were going in different directions- literally. It was quite comical! I did get one picture of them that wasn't too bad....I'll use it if I don't get a chance to take another one. We had a FUN day all together! Here is one of the cute pictures I got of them!

Our day together!

Photo: 100_5830.jpg
Drake, Jordan, Barbie, Brody, me, Beckie, Jackie & Julie

My mom takes us 4 girls to Pella every year to the tour of Christmas homes.
It is one day a year we are all together.
As our girls have gotten older- some of them join us from time to time.
And this year the twins got to come along too!
It was a great time last Friday!
Thanks Mom!
Love ya,
SUSIE

What a pretty package!!

Good morning!

Here is a pretty package!  I love the BOW!  And check out the tag.....it is created with one of the hostess stamp sets- 'Christmas Wishes' from the Holiday Catalog.  Wouldn't you like to get a package from someone that looked like this!

'Christmas Wishes'
cs:  Naturals White, Real Red, Polka Dot Parade designer paper
ink:  Old Olive
supplies:  Linen Thread, Merry Minis punch pack (star), Basic Rhinestones, Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta ribbon, glue dots, dimensionals, paper piercing tool & mat pack

(This package was on our display board at convention last July!  Someone is pretty creative!)

I am looking forward to today.......Brayden is coming to spend the day with the twins & me.  He hasn't been here for almost 2 weeks & told his mom last night that he missed us & needed to come spend the day with us- so we are looking forward to our day together!  Papa has meetings all day, so won't be around.  It will just be my boys & me!  I am hoping to get a picture of the 3 of them for our New Years card......we'll see how that goes!  Wish me luck!

Hope you have a great day!!
