Stampin' Up! Rainbow Glimmer Paper

WOW!  Look at this!

I needed a birthday card last night & decided to play with some
products that I hadn't used yet!

Check out these COOL Bravo Dies.
Where did they come from?
They are the French version of our Happy Dies.
Bravo Dies- #152740= $30.00
on page 178 in the Annual Catalog.
I used the Stitched Stars dies for the top swirly stars
& cut them out the Rainbow Glimmer Paper!
NOTE:  The center of the stars did cut out- but I stuck them back inside
the stars to make them solid.

Underneath the BRAVO words I added some Artistry Blooms DSP.
Isn't this a bright & cheery card that could be used for many different occasions-
birthday, congratulations, retirement, graduation, etc.

Here are the measurements & supplies.
stamp set:  none
card stock:
  • Thick Basic White- 4 1/4 x 11"
  • Melon Mambo- 4 x 5 1/4"
  • Mango Melody- 3 3/4 x 5"-die cut BRAVO
  • Melon Mambo- 1 3/8 x 5" strip- die cut BRAVO & layer over the Mango Melody words
designer paper:
  • Rainbow Glimmer Paper- 1/4 x 5"; 1 3/4" strip- die cut stars
  • Artistry Blooms DSP- 1 1/2 x 5"- put behind the BRAVO letters
ink:  none
other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine; Bravo Dies; Stitched Star Dies
Check it out.....
This is what the card looked like before I added the strip of
Melon Mambo BRAVO over the top of these Mango Melody ones.

So which do you like better?
The Mango Melody words?
OR the Melon Mambo words?
I like the Melon Mambo layered over the top, as I think it makes the card pop more!

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch

Oh wow-it is SIMPLE SATURDAY!!!
Look at today's simple card I have to share with you!

Can you believe that I used the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch
to make these cut little Jelly Fish!

Check out this super simple, yet adorable card!!

A SU! demonstrator from the UK- Sara Sayers
had a jelly fish card posted in one of our demonstrator groups.
I just thought it was so cute-
so this is my version of Jelly Fish!

I used the Whale of A Time DSP in the Annual Catalog on page 150.
The Jelly Fish are the top of the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch,
punched out of Rich Razzleberry card stock!
And I used the Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon
& heated it with my Heat Tool to curl it- for their tentacles.
NOTE:  DO NOT HEAT TOO MUCH- as it will completely melt the ribbon.
I just love it when you can think outside of the box
& create something totally different with a product!
Here are the supplies & the measurements-
stamp set:  'Waterfront' (words); 'Sweet Ice Cream'- dots on the Jelly Fish
card stock:
  • Shaded Spruce- 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 5 1/2"- fold in half for card base
  • Rich Razzleberry- 1 3/4" strip- punch out 2 ice cream pieces & stamp dots onto them for the Jelly Fish
  • Basic White- 4 x 5 1/4"- for inside of card
designer paper:  Whale Of A Time DSP- 4 x 5 1/4"
ink:  Memento (for words); Blackberry Bliss (for dots on Jelly Fish)

Stampin' Up! Simply Succulent

Oh my......I am sure lovin' this Simply Succulents stamp set.
I finally got a chance last night to use it!
And I love the simple elegance of it!
This is a totally Susie card that is clean & simple with layers!

I used the NEW Blending Brushes to add these colors
onto the Shimmery White card stock.
NOTE:  The NEW Blending Brushes are not available
until the week of March 29th.
And you will want to add these to your Wish List!
They are awesome!
Check out the colors & order I used them in-
1.  Granny Apple Green
2.  Pretty Peacock
3.  Rococo Rose
When you are adding the color onto the card stock, you want to lightly
tap/rub onto your scratch paper & then rub onto the card stock.
Look how I added some Pretty Peacock ink to the
Natural Touch Specialty Paper (birch looking)
#156825= $5.00
This specialty paper resisted the ink.....so I let is dry awhile
& thentook a kleenex & rubbed off the access ink.
Notice how the 'green' stayed in the wood grain lines!
I think it looks neat!
Look how I stamped the succulents onto the Mint Macaron card stock.
Notice how it is stamped over each other slightly in the center.
But that didn't matter, as I will be layering over the top of it when it is finished.
WHOOPS!
Look at the lower left corner.
I got a little heavy on my sponging-
when I thought "I just had to add a little more".
But no worries- I'll just change up my layout & cover that spot up!
So see how I fixed it!
And if I hadn't told you & showed you that I messed up-
you would never know it now by looking at the finished card.

I stamped the words onto a little scrap of Basic White card stock
& then fussy cut out around the words with my Paper Snips.
I popped the words up with dimensionals & add them directly
over the top of my really dark spot that I sponged too heavily on.

I took 24" of Linen Thread & folded in half 4 times & tied it into a bow.
And I just added it with a Glue Dot!
And yup- I made this into a fun 'z' fold card,
which is my favorite fold ever!

I just love the way this card turned out & I hope you do too!

Here are the supplies & measurements-
stamp set:  'Simply Succulents'
card stock:
  • Thick Basic White- 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 2 3/4 & 5 1/2"- fold into a "z" for card base
  • Crumb Cake-  4 x 5 1/4"
  • Mint Macaron- 3 3/4 x 5"
  • Crumb Cake- 3 1/4 x 4"
  • Shimmery White- 3 x 3 3/4"
  • Basic White- 3/4" strip- stamp words onto & fussy cut out
dsp:  Natural Touch Specialty Paper- 3/4 x 5"
ink:  Memento, Granny Apple Green, Pretty Peacock, Rococo Rose

Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Garden

I have a fun "window" card using the 'Dragonfly Garden' Bundle!
I think this turned out clean, simple & cute!!
This is how I made the window....
I slide a 2 1/4" Circle Punch down from the top/card front,
centered it & then punched it out!

When making this card I did something 'old' I did years ago.
As I use to layer my white cards the way I did this one-
so that it had a colored base.
The Basic White card is 5 1/4 x 8"- score at 4" & fold in half.
Then layer this onto a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" Misty Moonlight piece of card stock
for the back of the card base.
I stamped the flowers/stems on the inside of the card like this.
Notice how I added the Flowers for Every Season DSP to the bottom part of the
Basic White card front and then wrapped the ribbon around the entire part.
I cut a little slit, directly over the fold line
(by placing the fold line in the cutting part of my Paper Trimmer)-
making it just big enough to slide the end of the 12" piece of
Misty Moonlight ribbon into it.
I then tied a knot in it on the front side.
How did I get the words like this?
I actually just stamped them onto a little piece of
Basic White card stock & fussy cut out around them with my scissors.

Look closely at the little dragonfly.....
I punched it out of Misty Moonlight card stock & then punched it
out again with Vellum and layered them on top of each other!
I decided to add some Wink of Stella over the top of the vellum dragonfly
to give it some added sparkle!
So what do you think?
I think that this is a totally Susie card!

Here are the supplies & measurements:
stamp set:  'Dragonfly Garden' (flowers/stems/words)
card stock:
  • Misty Moonlight- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" for card base
  • Basic White- 5 1/4 x 8"- score at 4" & fold in half for card
  • Misty Moonlight- 4 x 1/2"
  • Misty Moonlight- 1" strip- punch out little dragonfly
  • Vellum- 1" strip- punch out little dragonfly
  • Basic White- 1" strip- stamp words onto & fussy cut out around them with Paper Snips (scissors)
designer paper:  Flowers for Every Season- 4 x 2"
ink:  Misty Moonlight
other:  2 1/4" Circle Punch; Paper Snips; Misty Moonlight Ribbon; Dragonfly Punch; Lady Bug Trinkets; dimensionals; glue dots; Wink of Stella (over the vellum Dragonfly)

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Isn't this DSP so pretty!
 I used a 3 x 5" piece of DSP.
Notice how it is wider than the card.
So I decide to angle it like this!
