Yesterday was a long day since we started out so early on the farm.  Thankfully Deke got the driveways all cleared off good with the tractor & blade & the semi didn't have any problems getting in or out!  It was just COLD!

We had fun with the 3 Wood kids last night playing games, building Lincoln Log buildings & reading lots of books.

Today when the kids go home I hope I feel like getting some stamping done.  Deke plans to catch up on things on the farm all day.  

I am not sure what we are doing tonight......it is going to be really cold.  And my back still hurts.  So we might just stay home & go to bed early.  We have had a few friends ask us to do things.  But honestly- New Years Eve is our least favorite day of the year.  Deke's little brother (Daryn) passed away 32 years ago tonight.  So this is just never a holiday we don't care to celebrate.

• And check out the 1/4" White Organza Ribbon!  It is totally yummy!!!  I LOVE IT!

I punched the little flowers out for this card using the Tree Builder Punch!  They worked perfectly here.  And I love the added color & dimension that they added to the card!

I would say that clean, simple & elegant kind of sums up this card don't you think!  I love the way it turned out!  What do you think?

Well- I hurt my back, so I made a trip to the chiropractor yesterday.  It might feel a little better....but not much.  It has been hurting bad all week & I have hardly slept.  I hope it is better soon.  I have another appointment again on Tuesday morning.  So yesterday I didn't end up doing too much.  I got caught up on some paper work & laundry.  

Last night we went to watch Drake wrestle at the Little Savage Wrestling Tournament.  Oh my gosh......he won all 3 of his matches & he got 1st place!  He was a very happy little boy!!   And we were all very proud of him!  I was amazed at how much he has improved this year! 

It was a short night for Deke & me, as we are up early this morning at 4:00 a.m., to push snow & put sand on the hog house driveway, so that the semi can get it.  We are selling hogs early this morning.....so have to mark, sort & load the hogs too!  The semi is to be here about 6:00 to load.  I pray that we get along good with everything this morning, as it is going to be really cold & slick out.  We sure didn't need the freezing sleet & additional snow we got last night. 

Then I will be stamping all day today I hope!!  I have tons to get ready for, for my upcoming January classes.  Tonight the 3 Wood kids (Brayden, Masen & Ainslee) are spending the night with us.  The boys have already picked out the games & things they want to do!  Hopefully we find a good movie to watch too.  I'm sure we'll have alot of fun!

I've gotta run......

Drake is beaming!!  He won all 3 matches tonight at his Little Savage Wrestling Meet!

LOVE his smile!  

 

Drake was the champion of his bracket tonight!! It took him 3 years of practice and experience, but he’s beaming with pride (& so are we)! Brody’s reaction was just as exciting as Drake’s, and Trey keeps saying, “Drake, I’m so proud of you!”

A Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek!

I've been a busy bee!!  Everyone spare minute I have found the past week I've been stamping- creating projects using NEW Sale-a-bration & Occasions Catalog products.  I am having so much fun & am lovin' all of the new things.  I feel kind of like a kid in a candy store!  

This is one of those cards that reminds me of my Grandma Cox.  The colors & the flowers, combined with the doily- just remind me of her!  I just love the simplicity of this elegant card.   

Sale-a-bration time is one of my favorite times of the year!!  Who doesn't like free things!!  I know I do!!  And this years Sale-a-braiton product choices are awesome!!!  

I've used a lot of NEW products on this card.......

This is a beautiful NEW Sale-a-bration stamp set called- 'Lots of Lavender'.  It is one of the Level 1 options that you can get for free with a $50 order beginning January 3rd, 2018!!  

The words- "Thank You" are from a NEW Occasions Catalog stamp set called- 'Southern Serenade'.  It too will be available on January 3rd, 2018 for you to purchase.

How did I do it?

1. I stamped the bouquet image using my Black Memento Ink pad.
2. I stamped the flowers using my Berry Burst ink pad.
3. I colored the leaves & stems with my Light Old Olive Stampin' Blend.
4. I colored the bow on the stemmed flowers using my Berry Burst Stampin' Write Marker.
5. I colored the White Accent Dot using my Light Old Old Olive Stampin' Blend.
6. I added the Wink of Stella over the top of the Berry Burst flowers.....be careful to stay inside the lines- as the color will pick up a little & onto the top of your Wink of Stella.
7. I cut a Delicate White Doilie into 4th & put 1 of them under my layers.

My December calendar page!

Oh my......this little deer is just so adorable!!!  He is from the 'Seasonal Chums' Bundle- stamp set & coordinating Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies.

I stamped the deer onto Crumb Cake card stock using the Archival Basic Black ink pad.  Using the Markers- I colored his hoofs with the Black, his bow & nose with the Real Red, the bell with the Crushed Curry & went over it using the Wink of Stella.  I used the White Chalk Marker on his antlers, tail & fawn dots on his back!

Check out the Quilt Top Embossing Folder on the background of the Real Red 4x4 base.

Yesterday I worked on farm bookwork all day/night long!  Today we have our annual pre-tax appointment.....and I'm almost all ready for it.

Tonight we have our Wood Family Christmas at Deke's parents with part of his family!   We will sure miss the ones that aren't going to be there with us!

I hope you had a wonder Christmas!  I know we had a great Christmas!!  The kids were so much fun this year & so excited about every little detail of the happenings!  It was also great to see & spend time with so many of our family members!!  

We had lunch at my sisters home yesterday for my side of the family, then stopped late in the afternoon to visit Deke's parent (we will have his family Christmas later this week yet) & then we went to the Seeley's for supper & got to see some of the gifts that the boys god.  We came home & headed outside  to sell hogs.  It was a late night working on the farm.  The semi driver was late, as it was so cold that his truck wouldn't start.  I was beat & froze by the time we got in!!  

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm up early to walk & then I'll be spending the next 2 days/nights at one of my other jobs!  I will be at the computer- working on farm things for our end of year tax appointment that we have on Thursday.  There is no school this week, so the kids will be home with their parents.  So guess it all worked out for me to switch 'job' hats for a few days.

Yesterday was a great Christmas with our kids!!  I love hearing the excitement of things through a child's voice & seeing it through their eyes.  We had lunch, opened gifts & then went to church together.   We heard an awesome sermon, some beautiful singing & there was an adorable children's pageant too.  We then all went to Nathan & Sarah's for supper & visiting. 

This morning we are off to chore & then head to my sister Beckie's for Christmas on my side of the family!  Tonight we are going to Manda & Steve's for supper.  Then home to mark, sort & load hogs!  The semi is to be here at 8 pm to load.  So when we get in tonight I'm sure we'll be beat!

Our Countdown to Christmas!

The boys & I made a Countdown to Christmas chain at the beginning of the month.  It was fun watching them glue the strips together.  And we worked on alternating colors of white, red & then green.  

We used the 'Wishes All Aglow' (Holiday Catalog- pg. 22) stamp set for the 'ho ho ho' lights,  The December words come from the stamp set- 'The Little Things' (Holiday Catalog- pg. 44).  Both of these stamp sets are retiring on January 2nd!  

I used the Classic Label punch for the slit to hold the rings. 

I added dimensionals to the back side of the holder & stuck it onto our wall!

Yesterday I spent my day working on stamping!  I've been having fun creating projects using some of my new Occasions & Sale-a-braiton products for my display basket, upcoming classes & swaps!  Then I spend my evening working on wrapping gifts & getting ready for our Christmas!  Our kids all come today at noon for our family Christmas.  We'll eat lunch, open gifts & then all go to church together at 4:30.  After church we'll come home to chore & then we are all going to Nathan & Sarah's for supper.  The boys are all big enough this year that it will be fun watching them open their gifts.  Listening to the laughs & joy this time of year is just heart warming!

Yesterday was a busy day with Ainslee having her 6 month check up.  So I went to Walmart with the 3 little ones & got a grocery cart full of groceries too.  (You should have seen the looks I was getting from people.  One older man told me I had a very nice family & they were very well behaved.  That was so nice to hear!) We then came home to put groceries away & cook & get things ready for supper & visit we had from Santa.  It was very fun night!!!  

 Today I just have the 3 Seeley boys!  We have sugar cookies to bake & some thing to do here to get ready for Christmas yet!

Tonight I'll be stamping- working on projects using new Occasions & Sale-a-bration products.
