Yesterday afternoon I was cleaning up my stamping counter & made this with left over pieces from one of my June monthly class cards.  You can see that card BY CLICKING HERE!

WOW- it sure has been hot!  I'm not a hot weather lover to begin with.  I'm so ready for fall!  That is my favorite time of the year.....I love the crisp air & wearing a sweatshirt.  And I love the fall colors & holidays that come during that time too!

Yesterday was a busy day running kids around, going to pick up some farm parts & get our meat picked up at the locker.  I also got a little done in the house, as I've been working on getting ready for this weekends stamping classes!
Last night Deke & I picked up Casey's Pizza & we all ate supper at Nathan & Sarah's.  The Seeley family joined us too.  This is the first time we'd all been together since before we left for Thailand.  It was great to all be together!

Today Deke is off early to chore & then has a farm related meeting.  He hopes to mow around all of the buildings & the lagoons today too.  The air conditioner in his old John Deere tractor that he mows with has been broke, but he just got it fixed.  So he is hoping it works today!

I think I'm home alone today, so I will getting the house set up & all of the little things ready for tonight's stampin' class that is here at our home.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone that is joining me!  And I can't wait to stamp & share with them.

Gotta run.......
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

This new In Color- Powder Pink- is just very fitting too for this ribbon card.

OH- and I love all of the words in this stamp set too!
Check out this card from the side- it is a fun flip up card!!  I added the Fresh Florals DSP along the outside edges to dress it up!  I then repeatedly stamped the stamp- courage, randomly along the front piece.  I think it turned out really pretty!

Wow- Deke & I are both still having a hard time adjusting to the time changes & getting back on schedule.  Our LONG travel home was a killer & we haven't adapted back to normal yet from it.  We are both beat trying to get caught up on everything that piled high while we were gone.  It is just amazing how much stuff happens in a week around here.
  • Our laundry is all caught up on & put away.
  • I finished working on farm bookwork last night when I got home from the races.
  • My emails are all finally all answered.....as we had over 500 of them to go through.
  • I've gone through all of our mail.
  • Plus we got the yard mowed & now need to find time to work in the yard & catch up on pulling weeds, etc.- but that isn't going to happen until after this weekend.
We got a little bit of rain late yesterday afternoon....which we really needed & could still use more.  But we are sure thankful for the little we got!

I have stamp classes this coming weekend & I have swaps to get done too......so I need to be working on stamping stuff every spare minute I have.   I still have lots to get done!

Yesterday was a busy day with our grandkids here.  It was good to get to see them all!  As the Seeley's are now home from their vacation too.   And it was fun getting to hear the boys talk about their trip to South Dakota & all that they saw.  We sure missed all of our family while we were gone.  How blessed we are that they live close by & we get to see them almost every day!

Last night we went to the races in Osky.  It was hot!  Nathan got 4th in his heat & 2nd in the main.  The track was terribly rough.  Deke & I went & picked up a few groceries afterwards- as we needed milk, bread, fruit & veggies.  As our frig was pretty bare from us being gone.

This morning Deke is off early to chore, go to a meeting about our pig group & then head to the courthouse for another meeting there.  He'll be home to work on the farm all afternoon, hopefully.

I have some of the kids again today here to keep me busy.  And then we have races again tonight in Osky.  I'm sure hoping that the track is in better shape & that we have good luck!

Gotta run........

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

'Daisy Delight'

This is my favorite new In Color!  I love this Lemon Lime Twist color!!  And it is just stunning when added with the black & white!

At my team meeting last month, Luetta brought a card layout similar to this one for us to do as a shoe box swap.  I loved it so much I did my own version of it making this card.
I used a sponge dauber & the Lemon Lime Twist ink to make the circles on the background.

stamp set:  'Sheltering Tree' (words)
card stock:  Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White
ink:  Black Memento, Lemon Lime Twist
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Layering Circles Framelits, 1" Circle Punch, Daisy Punch, Lemon Lime Twist ribbon, Dimensionals

Yesterday I had the 3 Wood kids.  It was great to get to see them.  Today the Seeley's will be out, as they just got home from their family vacation last night.

Tonnight we are all going to the races to cheer Nathan on.  It is a special night of racing at the Southern Iowa Speedway (Osky), as it is their fair week.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

A 'Heartland' barn!

This is clean, simple & sooooo cute!!  I love the way this card turned out!!  It is totally a Susie card.

This barn is so cool & is from the stamp set called- 'Heartland'.  The heart & the words are from the stamp set called- 'Wood Words'.
The barn is so detailed......and even very neat here when I didn't even color it in.
I did sponge around the edges of the stamped images to give it an older or aged look.

With me being a farm girl, this stamp set was one of my favorites the first time I looked at the new Annual Catalog.

You can see another card that I made using this stamp set by CLICKING HERE!
I used the tractor stamp & made this card for Deke's birthday last month!  Be sure to check it out!  It is super cute too!  And I colored it with the Watercolor Pencils & ink pads!
Did you notice the Wood Textures DSP (6x6 stack), as it coordinates perfectly along the edge here.

Check out how the card opens up!

card stock:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
designer paper:  Wood Textures DSP (6x6 stack)

We had all of the 5 boys here last night to play outside, eat supper, go to the park, have ice cream, watch a movie & then we had a sleep over on our family room floor!  I know I was beat last night.......think they were too once they finally gave in.

Today Deke is off early to chore, as he has an early meeting in Des Moines to attend with our County Engineer.  He'll then come home & work on the farm the rest of the afternoon/evening.

I'll spend my morning with the boys, take Brayden to Open Gym & then take the boys home.  The rest of my day I'll be getting all of my bookwork (farm & stamping) caught up on, running errands & packing!  I have LOTS to do!!!  My list is huge!

Tomorrow (Saturday) morning early Deke & I leave for our Stampin Up! trip & we are heading to Thailand!  YIKES!  We are dreading the super LONG flight & the hot weather there.  But we are looking forward to seeing many of our friends, spending the time with each other & learning the many new things that Stampin' Up! has to share with us!  So I'll have lots to share with you when we get back home!

I have tons to get done in the next few hours & we probably won't even go to bed tonight.  We'll just catch up on our sleep on the long plane ride! We don't get to Thailand until early Monday morning.  So we have many upcoming hours to spend in different airports & on planes in the next couple of days!

I will post on my blog again tomorrow morning before we leave, but I will not be posting anything until we return home again.  I am not going to be taking my lap top with me on this trip.  We won't have any cell phones (no calls or texting) & no email either.  So there will be alot for both of us to catch up with when we get home.   We'll be hitting the ground running!

Gotta run now too......
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Until tomorrow......
Happy Stamping!

Check out the cool DSP that has the coffee rings on it that I used on this card.  I LOVE IT!

And look at the cute corrugates heart!  This is one of the new elements that go with this bundle too.  There is also a little tag & some ovals too in this elements set.
This is a fun fold that I haven't done for awhile.  I thought it would be the perfect layout for this cute new stamp set!

Everyone joining me for my monthly July stamp classes get to make a card similar to this one.....doing this same fold & using this 'Coffee Cafe' Bundle.

'Lovely Inside & Out'!

This is a fun stamp set!!!  And when I first saw it I thought of my friend Tamara, that has a birthday on July 1st.  Every year I send her a birthday card that is some type of fireworks!  So this is the card that I made for her this year! I think it turned out super cute!
I used the little flower (stamen) center from the 'Colorful Seasons' stamp set- for the little sparkly fireworks on this card.

And then check out the cool Navy& White Gingham ribbon!  It is just so yummy......it folds/ties super easy!  It is wonderful to work with!  It comes in the Smoky Slate & Night of Navy colors.  I wish it came in more colors!

Don't you think this looks like the grand finale of fireworks display!!  It does to me!  And we saw an awesome fireworks display on Monday night (after the races) at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Osky.

I hope you all had a great 4th of July yesterday!!  We had a busy day with our family.....it started out with a short night, as we got home late from the races on Monday night.  We were up early & I went to town to meet Nathan & Brayden- as Brayden did the annual run (and in record time too), while Deke chored!  I came home to get Deke & we went back to town for the Annual Sigourney Parade.  Then we went back home to eat lunch & wash out pens in the finisher & then back to town to watch the 3 older boys in the greased pig contest (which was so cute).  We went back home to chore after it & then last night we all went to the races together again!!   Nathan got 3rd Monday night & 4th last night........there were alot of cars, so he did good!

This is a clean & simple card using the little stemmed daisy stamps from the 'Daisy Delight' stamp set.
How many times have you heard me say that I love this 'Daisy Delight' stamp set & the coordinating punch & DSP that go with it?

Here I just used the stamp set though, combing the Birthday Memories DSP with it!

I like it when I can just use circle punches to layer stamped images with.

Here I just turned my square, so that it is a diamond shape!  And then I added some DSP & ribbon, along with a little banner flag for the words!

'A Little Wild'

Check out this adorable little elephant.  It is from the set- 'A Little Wild'!

I just love the way this card turned out!

This new gingham ribbon is super cute!!  And check out the dotted paper.  What is it?  It is the reverse side of the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate on page 194.  Be sure you look it up in your annual catalog!
I also used the new Starburst Punch that is layered behind the elephant here.

Note:   I adhered the acetate to the Whisper White card stock using Glue Dots.  I pressed the back side of the acetate directly to onto the Glue Dot roll, putting them on, so that they were behind the dots on the acetate.  And you can barely see them.  I put one Glue Dot on all 4 corners.
