Stampin' Up!- Some little pumpkins!

This is a quick & fun Halloween card!

I think this little spider is just adorable!  And how can you go wrong using the Banner Triple Punch, as it is one of my favorite punches ever!
I stamped the pumpkins in Black Stazon directly onto the white banner.  I then stamped the pumpkins again onto a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock & cut it out with the framelit.

stamp set:  'Spooky Fun'
card stock:  Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
designer paper: Halloween Night Specialty Designer Paper (12x12)

Yesterday was a busy day with the boys.  We were outside for a couple of hours in the morning.  We picked corn from the field & the boys had a blast playing in the field.  I loved hearing them squeal & have play!  We got the corn all tied together & hung on our fence.

When the boys went home I worked on stamping stuff until Deke got in.  We then made a quick trip to pick pumpkins & cut down cornstalks in the field.  Our yard is all decked out for fall now!  Now I just wish the porch was painted & the landscaping was all finished.  Somehow, someday we'll get that done.  We worked in the yard until it was too dark to do any more & came in for a late supper.  I then burnt the midnight oil cutting card stock.

This morning I'm off to go pick up the boys.  I'll take the twins to pre-school & Trey will spend the day with me here.   I'll be cutting card stock every spare minute I have all day & all night, getting everything ready for my weekends Halloween Treats classes.

Deke is home to work on the farm all day.  He'll take hogs to the locker & work on powerwashing.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- 'Halloween Treat'

Here is a fun & quick card showcasing several different designs from the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Paper.

Yep- I fussy cut out the little haunted house!  It fit perfectly down in the corner!

And check out the background of the tag.  I used the striped designer paper & stamped the words/tag directly onto it.  I did have to fussy cut the tag out too.

The front of this card flips upwards.
stamp set:  'Halloween Treat'- pg. 54 in the Holiday Catalog
card stock:  Basic Black, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie
designer paper:  Halloween Night DSP (12x12)

Last night was a hot, late night on the farm.  We didn't make it to Brayden's game with the rest of the family, as the semi was here earlier than normal.  When we got in I made supper & then spent my night stamping!!

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to Ottumwa for 2 meetings he has there today.  I'm off early to go pick up the boys for the day.  Tonight when they all go home I'll be burning the midnight oil cutting card stock for my upcoming Halloween Treats classes.

Gotta run......I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- 'Acorny Thank You'

Look at these acorns!  What a fun fall card this is!

This card was one from my September monthly card classes!  I love it when there is a punch that goes with a stamp set!  If you look closely at the Delightful Dijon Acorn, I did the faux suede technique on it.

How do you do that?
  • I punch out the acorn.
  • I wadded it up into a ball like I was throwing it away....the more you wad it the better.
  • I then opened it up & smoothed it all out.  It works best if you use a bone folder to do this or your finger nail.
  • The more you stress the card stock, the better it is.  You are just trying to break the fibers down.
  • Then I find a spot along the edge of the cardstock acorn that I've stressed & I carefully pull it apart- making 2 acorns.  The inside of this stressed card stock is rough & gives you a faux suede feel & look.
stamp set:  'Acorny Thank You'
card stock:  Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
designer paper: Maraccan Designer Paper (12x12)
ink:  Early Espresso
other:  Classic Label Punch, Acorn Builder Punch, Layering Circles Framelits, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Last night when the boys all went home Deke & I worked in the yard again until about 9 & then came in for a late supper.  I then worked on bookwork until about midnight.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for a meeting.  I'm off to go pick up the boys.  We'll take the twins to school & then the other boys & I will head out home for the day.  We have tons more to get done in the yard....we'll see if I can get anything done while they play.

Tonight we will hopefully get to go to Brayden's football game (depending on what time the semi gets here).  And then head home to spend the night outside on the farm with the piggies, as tonight is my farmer night!

I hope I have some energy when I get in tonight from the farm, as I need to cut card stock!  This weekend I'm having my 2 Halloween Treats classes & I have alot I need to get done for them!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday morning Trey & I ran errands after we took the twins to school.  We came home & helped Deke outside the rest of the morning.  After school Brayden was here & I got his hair cut!  He then helped me & we worked in the yard.  Plus we went to the corn field & picked/shucked corn.....so that we can hang it on our fence along our driveway!

After the boys were all gone home I worked in the yard until almost dark.  I then placed orders & burnt the midnight oil working on stamping stuff.

This morning I'm off early to go pick up the boys.  Deke is home to work on the farm all day.  If the weather cooperates & the boys join forces to cooperate too- we are going to spend the morning outside- as we have plants & things to get replanted that we had to move so that the brick layers could get to the house etc.  I also am wanting Deke to help me cut some corn stalks & get our corn stalk decor in the yard for me.  So we'll see how our day goes.  When the boys leave tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil working on cutting supplies for my upcoming Halloween Treats classes that I am having this weekend.  I have several friends joining me for them & I can't wait!!  But I have LOTS of cutting to do this week.....

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- 'Paisley & Posies'

Here is a pretty fall card.  This was one of my cards for this months classes.  I love this designer paper & the coordinating of it!  The patterns in the designer paper are great for fall, but also would work well for masculine cards & many other occasions too!

Stampin' Up!- "Vintage Leaves' recessed panel card!

Here is a pretty fall card.  This is one of my September monthly cards.  it is a recessed panel card.  Don't you love the colors of the leaves!  It is just a stunning card in person!  I love it!!
I stuck with some of the traditional fall colors & then added in the Bermuda Bay to give it a pop & be different.

Check out the Woodland Embossing Folder!  I embossed the Soft Suede card stock & cut it into 2 strips- 1- 5 1/5 x 3/4" & 1- 5 1/4 x 1 1/2" & then embossed them with the Woodland Embossing Folder.  I used a sponge & rubbed over the top of the embossing to make the color & the embossed images 'pop out' a little more.  And did you notice the cool new Kraft Rope Trim that I used here for the bow?

stamp set:  'Vintage Leaves' & 'Sunburst Sayings'
card stock:  Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White

Here is a cute picture of all of the little cousins together last night at G'ma & G'pa Axmear's home.

It was a busy day with the boys yesterday.  Ben's little girl (Acea) was here for awhile too.  Laughing- we aren't quite sure what to do with little girls around here!  She is adorable & was really good though.  Acea & Masen are only a few days apart in age.  It was fun to what them plan together.

Brayden did good at his game last night.  The weather was great!

We worked on things outside when we got home last night.  I'm hoping Ben gets the brick all done tomorrow.  We'll then just have the mess to clean up & all of the 'little' things to finish up on it then next week.

After we had supper last night & I got dishes done- I burnt the midnight oil working on stamping stuff.

This morning I'm off to pick up all of the boys for the day.  We have some errands to run this morning & I'm hoping we can play outside.  Tonight when they go home I'll be burning the midnight oil cutting card stock.

I hope you have a very special Thursday!!

Check out my Pop-Up Panel card!

WOW- check out my Pop-Up Panel card!  It is super cute!!!  And sooooo much fun to make!  It took me several times to get it all figured out & adapted to be simple enough for me to mass produce when cutting to use for a stamp class.  And I got it figured out!!!  This layout will be one that I'll be sharing at my Holiday Extravaganza Class the end of October with everyone joining me then- although it will be created with a different stamp set......so stay tuned for when I post that card next month!

The front of this card is just clean & simple......but when you open it up- it is AWESOME!
Isn't it just totally adorable!!!  I know I just love it!

This is what it looks like when the card is all of the way opened up!
And this is how it looks as you are starting to shut (or open) it.  It all just folds down flat!

stamp set:  'Halloween Treat', 'Ghoulish Grunge', 'Spooky Fun', 'Cookie Cutter Halloween
card stock:  Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
designer paper:  Halloween Night Specialty DSP (12x12)

I had a fun day with my boys yesterday!  The weather wasn't nice enough though- so we were stuck inside.  That just made us be creative in our play!

Last night when the boys went home I got caught up on my farm bookwork.  Then I placed orders from Teri's party & burnt the midnight oil on stamping stuff!!

This morning Deke is off early to chore.  He'll be in the office for a little while this morning & then head to Mt. Pleasant for a meeting he has the rest of the late morning/afternoon.

I'm off this morning to go get the boys ready & take them to school.  Trey & Masen will be here to hang out with G'ma all day!  Maybe the weather will be nice & we can play outside some.

Due to the weather Ben didn't make it yesterday to work on laying any brick.....hopefully he'll make it today!  I am so anxious to get it all done & the mess cleaned up!

Tonight we were suppose to sell hogs, but our buyer couldn't get them in.....so they are all sorted & ready to go next week I guess.  What a bummer!!

We will all be going to Brayden's football game tonight.....so the boys are excited about that!!!  When we get home from the game I'll burn the midnight oil cutting card stock!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Oh my.....we had a long & wild day yesterday!!  We were on the go the whole day!  It was about 9:00 pm when we got home last night, as after Bradyen's game we ran to Osky to deposit a hog check & pick up some groceries & things too.  And then I burnt the midnight oil working on stamping stuff!

This morning I'm off early to go pick up the boys for the day!  I am hoping the weather is nice & we can play outside some.
