Sweet Sorbet Petite Petal flowers.....

Hello!
This is a quick & simple sympathy card I made for a friend.
I used the Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper as my main focus.
I just love this bright & springy designer paper.
Don't these colors go so together!
Check out the flower using scraps of the designer paper & the Petite Petals punch.

'So Sorry'
cs:  Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Pool Party, Pistachio Pudding
dp:  Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper
ink:  Black Stazon
supplies:  Petite Petals Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (small flower), Paper Snips,
Paper Piercing Tool & Mat, dimensionals, glue dot, White Gel Pen,
Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, Scallop Edge Border punch

Woo Hoo!
We got alot of rain the past 36 hours, but only a dusting of snow!
Almost all of the snow that we had on the ground previously is now gone from yesterday's rain.
Thank goodness we didn't get tons of snow.

I'm meeting with my sister-in-law Pattie after work to figure out
my niece Maddie's graduation invites.
Then Susie's Hair Hut is open for business, as Deke needs a hair cut!
AND hopefully Brody & Drake cooperate to get theirs cut tonight too!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Happy Stamping!

Sweet Baby!

Good morning!
Here is a sweet baby card that I made last night for some very dear friends of ours
that just had another baby boy last week.
He looks precious in the photos I've seen of him & can't wait to meet him in person.

As many of you know, Crumb Cake is one of my favorite colors
& as hard as I tried to not use it- I just couldn't resist.
And of course I used one of my favorite stamp sets too- 'Gorgeous Grunge'!
That is a stamp set that is so versatile & works for all kinds of styles of cards!
'Baby, We've Grown', 'Simply Stars' & 'Gorgeous Grunge'
cs:  Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Whisper White
ink:  Crumb Cake, Marina Mist
marker:  Marina Mist
supplies:  Paper Snips & Dimensionals

It looks like we are in for another snow storm today that is heading our way.
I pray that it doesn't hit us hard.
There are lots of unconfirmed reports on how much snow we'll be getting this round.
It is already raining/sleeting now as I'm posting this.
What oh what will it be like in a few hours?
And Spring is how many days away?????

I'm planning to enjoy my day with the boys today.
Papa will be home to eat lunch with us for a change!
They both really need hair cuts- so maybe we'll get that accomplished too.

(weather permitting)
Deke has another meeting tonight.
So while he is there I am going to go to town to some friends home for abit to
use their shop & clean out my car.
Then hopefully I will be home in time to do some more stamping.
Oh my- I have LOTS to do!

I hope you have a great Thursday!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

Clean & simple........

Good morning!
Here is a clean & simple card.
(This is the Valentines card that I made for Nathan.)
There isn't much stamping on it.
I didn't want it to be too frilly.

But I think that this layout would be great for any card.
And you could leave it just as it is & change the wording to make this a pretty wedding card!

Check out this cool bow made with the Envelope Punch Board!

Good morning!!
Yesterday I shared with you this cute card.
And today I'm going to share with you how I made the cool bow!
It is made with the Envelope Punch Board!
Demonstrator friend- Deb Valder made a u tube video on how to make a bow similar to this one.
Her bow was smaller, so I played with different lengths of card stock
& came up with liking my bow to look like this.

NOTE:
I will be making a card at all of my March classes with this type of bow on it,
so if you are coming to stamp with me you'll get to make one for yourself!
Here are the measurements I used for this bow:
  • CS- 8 1/2" x 1"
  • Punch at 4 1/4" (the middle of the card stock) on both sides of the piece of CS.
  • Then punch at 2" from each end, on each side of the piece of CS.
  • I also flagged the ends with the Punch Board too!
8 1/2" x 1"
Punch in center on both sides of CS @ 4 1/4".
This is what it looks like.
Punch at 2" on both sides of CS.
Punch at 2" on the other end of the CS strip.
 Punch on both sides.
This is what it looks like.
Make the flag on the ends of the bow like this.
This is what it will look like.
 Add 2 glue dots.
 Fold the strip like this.
Fold in both sides & stick to the glue dots.
(the left side is stuck down to the glue dot here)
This is the back side of the bow with both sides stuck down to the glue dots.
Flip it over & this is what it looks like from the front side.
I added a Neutrals button in the center of the bow to complete it.
COOL HUH!!!
++++++++++++++++
I'm off on my monthly run to deliver stamps tonight.
I think that Deke gets to come along,
so maybe we'll get to go out for supper too while we are out.

Last night Deke & I made a quick trip to Osky to deposit a hog check at the bank
& get some groceries.
When we got home he had to go out & help with a City Sewer issue in a town near by.
Bless him for going above & beyond in his position as a Keokuk County Board of Supervisor.

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
Happy Stamping!!

These negative temps are just awful!

Sigourney Schools are delayed for 2 hours again this morning due to the cold temps.

I hope they like it....as this will be a new experience for us all!

Thankfully we are loading inside today.
The boys are SO excited!
We then load another semi again this afternoon at 4:30.
Brayden gets to be a farmer after school & help us this time.
So it is going to be a busy day on the farm with all of our piggies & my farm boys!
