'Pleasant Poppies'

HI!
Yesterday I enjoyed my day stamping with Linda & her friends!
Thank you for asking me to share my love of stamping with all of you!!
I am excited to have more parties for you ladies in the next couple of months.

Today I'm off to have a workshop with my Iowa City gals.
We have a big group coming & a couple new ladies will be joining their friends to
stamp with us today.
I've got some cute cards to share!!
I can't wait to see everyone.
Here is a peek at a card everyone coming to my August workshops will be doing!
(Yes- this is one of the cards everyone will be making today too!)
I don't want to show the whole card yet & spoil all of the fun for everyone-
but isn't what you can see cute!!

I used the set- 'Pleasant Poppies'.
I colored them using the watercolor crayons & blender pens.

Well- I had the twins last night so didn't get everything done for today's workshop.
But we had fun together!  They are so sweet!
I am off to my stamp studio now to finish cutting card stock.
And then finish my supply list, pack up, load the car & be on my way.

We were blessed with some much needed rain yesterday!!
It was so good to hear, see & smell the rain.....
hopefully we will be blessed with some more,
but we will take whatever we get & not complain.

I hope you all have a blessed Sunday.
Be sure to check back again tomorrow.
Happy Stamping!
ENJOY!

'Perfectly Preserved'

HI!

Wow- I got my cards created for my August workshops yesterday.  They all turned out SO CUTE!!  I can't wait for you to come stamp with me & make them.

This stamp set- 'Perfectly Preserved' reminds me of my grandmas.  They all canned.  This set is so darn versatile.  I just love it!!!

'Perfectly Preserved' & 'Itty Bitty Banners'
cs:  Early Espresso, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade
Orchard Harvest Designer Paper
ink:  Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, More Mustard, Cajun Craze
supplies:  Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots folder, Window Framelits, Cannery Set Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, White Twins, dimensionals

My card today was inspired by a demonstrator friend Renee Watson.  We are in a monthly swap together & I just love her style!!  I'm always thrilled to get her creations.  This card is similar to hers with a few things added.  I love these fall colors together!!  And the new framelits that go with this stamp set are so COOL!!!  You don't have to cut anything out by hand.  Yipee!!

I am off to Linda's workshop in a couple of hours.  We are doing a luncheon with her stamp party today.  She has several ladies joining us & I have only met a couple of them before, so looking forward to sharing my love of stamping with all of them!!  I am excited about the 4 cute cards they will be making!  This new Holiday Catalog is just amazing!!!  It has so many cool new things in it to create with.  My head just spins with ideas every time I look at it.

I sill have one more card project to cut, then pack & load up.  I also have to shower, feed my animals & water all of my outside plants.  So gotta run.

I have the twins tonight- so will be a busy & tired grandma when I hit the hay tonight!!  I still have lots of stuff yet to get ready for my stamp party I have tomorrow too!

Have a great day!!
Happy Stamping!

Happy Friday!

Good morning!
Today I'm posting a picture of a card that I took when I was in Riverton, Utah at our Stampin' UP! distribution center.  Thus I cannot share with you whom the creator of this cute card is.  It uses alot of new products.  Think it is very striking!

'Pleasant Poppies', 'Papillon Potpourri' & 'Curly Cute'
cs:  Gumball Green, Whisper White
First Edition Designer Paper
ink:  Basic Black
markers:  Tangerine Tango, Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight
supplies:  dimensionals & Elegant Butterfly punch

I am planning to create a card for my workshops this weekend using this 'Pleasant Poppies' stamp set!  It has so many possibilities since it is so versatile.

Yesterday I enjoyed the boys......Brody is taking more & more steps each day.  He will be off & running soon.  He is also learning some new words- like "No No"!  They are eating some new foods- like watermelon (Drake loves it).

Last night we attended our annual Farm Bureau supper & meeting.  It was very nice.  My sister Beckie is running for Keokuk County Auditor, so she & Dan joined Deke & I & was introduced there.  We saw some friends we don't see often & got to visit a bit......just a very nice evening out.

I'm off to hide in my stamp studio all day.  Pray I have good Mojo!!  Lord knows I have tons of stamping to do!!  I have a workshop tomorrow at Linda's house & one on Sunday for my Iowa City group & I have nothing stamped- just all of my ideas in my head & on paper!  But promise I will have some cute cards to share & can't wait to do so!!

The guys will race tonight in Columbus Junction.  Hope that Nathan has good luck!  Wish I could go, but not going to be possible tonight.  I'll still be hiding in my stamp studio creating.

Tomorrow after my workshop I have the twins.......so I have to be organized today & make the most of my time.

My little cookie monsters!

We love oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies at our house.  I have made them for years!!  Not too many times can you be at our house & there aren't some in a tupperware container on the counter.  On Wednesday afternoon while the boys were napping I made some to send with the guys to the races.  So the twins got to eat them when they got up from the nap when they were warm!!

As you can tell by the picture.....I have created new little cookies monsters!!
We already have one big cookie monster around here- Brayden....and now more.
Years ago when I did daycare my kids would wake up to warm cookies almost every day.
Many of them still comment about eating cookies at our house.
The twins sure loved them!
Here Brody is helping Drake eat his cookie too.
When Brody was finished there wasn't a crumb left on his tray!

The boys are so sweet!!  Such a joy!!  We are so blessed!
They turned 11 months old this week.
Where does time go?

Happy Friday!!
Have a great weekend!!
Happy Stamping!

Sweet Baby "PINKS"

HI!

'Baby Boutique' & 'Itty Bitty Banners'
cs:  Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
ink:  Pink Pirouette
supplies:  Big Shot, Bitty Banners Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots folder, Scallop Circle Bigz, 3 1/2" circle die, 1 3/4" circle punch, 2 3/8" scallop circle punch, basic pearls, dimensionals, glue dots, 3/8" Pink Pirouette taffeta ribbon

Sorry I'm a little late in posting this morning.  We didn't get home until late from the races last night & so I had tons of emails this morning to catch up on & then had to make my card.

I am really behind in finding time to get personal cards made that I need to get sent out.  I have a mile long list.  (Heck- I don't even have July BD cards done yet & it is August already!)  I had a dear customer that had a baby girl while I was at convention & I need to get something sent to her, so decided this morning to play a bit with creating a baby card.  Do you like the bib?

Nathan had a really good night of racing last night.  One more lap & he would have won- but came in a close 2nd.  Think that after restubbing the whole rear end of the car a couple of weeks ago has made a world of a difference.  The car was really good earlier in the season & then he was in that terrible wreck on Memorial Day & the car was bent so bad it just couldn't be set up.  It has been a frustrating season- but glad things are finally looking up again.  :)  It was a nice night at the races with April, Manda, the twins, Brayden, his papa Mark.

I enjoyed my day with the boys yesterday.  I have created little cookie monsters!  And Brody can repeat back to you "No, No"!  Grandma must say it more than mom does!  I will post pictures of them tomorrow.

Ok.....gotta run.......the boys will be here any minute!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for another card idea!
Have a great day!
Happy Stamping!

Some convention photos of me....

Here is a picture taken of me with some demonstrator friends as we walked
across the stage at convention, being recognized for an award.
Here I am with my dear friends Tiffany Bauer & Robin Merriman.
We all met at Founders several years ago & keep in touch!
We are all in the Go Divi's stamp group below
(along with several other great stamping friends)!

Here I am with my dear friend Sharon Cline.
We met at Founders a few years ago too & hit it off.
I have to laugh as she has the same name as my mom, born the same month, same year & reminds me so much of my mom.
Whenever there is a SU! event we try to connect for lunch or something each time.
It is always great to see her!
This is me with Angie Juda at Awards night.
We met at Founders a few years ago & the past 2 years have been on the same 'team'!
A picture of me walking off the stage being recognized for my 2012 Founders Award.

Rodizio grill dinner
Here is a picture of me eating supper with some friends on Saturday night- saying our good-byes.
We were eating at the Rodizio Grill.

Googly Ghouls sneak peek.........

HI!

Here is a card that I made for my upcoming downline meeting that I have on Saturday.  This is one of my swaps!  I have asked several adoptee downline gals to join my 'Iowa Inkers' group for  fun day of stamping!!  I am looking forward to seeing everyone & sharing things from our Stampin' UP! convention with them.

This card is a sneak peek!!  This was created with one of the NEW Halloween sets in the Holiday Mini.  You can start ordering from the Holiday Mini beginning August 1st!  This mini is amazing!!  I want everything in it!!!!!

'Googly Ghouls' & 'Border Banter'
cs:  Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Howlstooth & Scaringbone designer paper (Holiday Mini)
ink:  Black Stazon, Tangerine Tango
supplies:  Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Googlies (Holiday Mini), Extra Large Oval punch, dimensionals

We were blessed with about 1/4" of rain.  We need more, but not complaining.

I have a terrible sore throat.  I went to bed early last night & slept in a little this morning.  I am hoping I am not getting strep throat!   I don't have time for that.

I am still sorting though orders & trying to get things caught up on from being gone last week.  I still can't believe how behind I am on things.  I have some back ordered stamp sets ('Reason' to Smile' in clear) that come today & can then get done with orders so I can connect with everyone.

Still have lots of stamping to do with July birthday cards & downline meeting things too!!  Hope I get alot done today.

Have a great day!!
Happy Stamping!

Cute BANNER......

 HI!
Here is a cute banner that was one of our make & take projects at convention.
There is TONS of NEW PRODUCTS in the project!
'Gossamer Lace'
ink:  Versamark
cs:  More Mustard, Primerose Petals, Early Espresso
Natural Composition Specialty Designer Paper
First Edition Specialty Designer Paper
supplies:  Big Shot, Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch, NEW 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Elegant Butterfly punch, Linen Thread, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon, Paper Snips, dimensionals, glue dots, wooden dowl

Do you see the glossy raised print on the Natural paper in the
Natural Composition Specialty Designer Paper??
There are 2 each of 6 different glossy raised prints on each sheet in this pacakge.
It is beautiful!!
What do you think of the flower?
We will be making one of those at our upcoming monthly classes.

So what do you think about the new Delicate Doilies Sizzlit?
I love it!!
AND the NEW 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch is in the
New Holiday Mini on pg. 7 for  $15.95.

We sold a semi load of hogs last night in this dreadful heat!
Pray they all made it safely on their journey.
We were just drenched when we got in.
Deke also got over 1200 baby (weaner) piggies in last week when I was gone, so I went through the buildings last night & saw all of them too......they are SO CUTE!
I hated not being here to help with them.

Deke is in the office this morning.
I have alot of stamping to do.
I have a swap I have to make & get in the mail by noon.
Plus July is almost over with & I don't have my July birthday cards even started yet.....have to get that done too!
Then plan to finish working on sorting & cutting boxes of orders so that I can get them delivered.

Southern Iowa Speedway races for tonight are rescheduled due to heat!
Too dangerous for the guys to put all of the safety equipment on & race in this kind of heat.
So we are home tonight to catch up on things here.

I have gotten through the hundreds of emails that came while I was gone & sorted through the pile of mail that came too & paid the bills.
It is amazing how many things you have to catch up on after being gone for 6 1/2 days.

We have a chance for some rain today!!
It hasn't rained in weeks & everything is brown & dying.
I PRAY that we get some rain today and tomorrow.
Plus temperatures are suppose to be close to 100* again today, but cooling down some tomorrow again.
What a tough summer 2012 has been!
Not good for anything or anyone, but especially tough on our animals & crops.
We need a good corn & bean crop so we have the food to feed our pigs.

I am off to my stamp studio now!!!
Excited to get to stamp!
I've missed it.

Have a great day!
Happy Stamping!
ENJOY!
