More- 'Blended Season'

Here is another Christmas card made using the 'Color Your Season' BUNDLE!
I used the #2 Water Color Pencils & Blender Pens to color it.

Look at the bow!  How did I do it?
  • I used my Embossing Mats with the Garden Green card stock & Bow framelit.  I had to fussy cut out around the bow.
  • I used the bow frameit & Cherry Cobbler card stock & cut out another bow.
  • Using the Fine Tip Glue I layered & attached the 2 bows
This is clean, simple & so pretty!  I just love the way it turned out!

More- Blended Season

This is a fun Christmas card using the 'Blended Season' stamp set & coordinating Stitched Seasons framleits.  This stamp set & framelits are available in a BUNDLE!

I used the #2 Assortment Watercolor Pencils to color the Holly & the Leaves.

How did I do the bow?
  • I used the bow framelit & the Embossing Mats to do the bow.
  • I had to use my Paper Snips & fussy cut around the outside edge of it.
How did I do the holly berries?
  • I used the framelits & cut the leaves out of the Garden Green.
  • I then used the same framelit & cut just the berries out the Cherry Cobbler & snipped them off (so I just had the tiny berry part) using my Paper Snips.
  • I used my Fine Tipped Glue to attach the berries to the leaves.
I also used my Fine Tip Glue over the top of the colored berries to make them shinny!  Just be sure you let them dry for about 30 mins before you touch them or anything so that it doesn't get smeared.

Look at the ends of the strip in the center of the card that has the holly & berries on it.  Check out the Garden Green ends.  I used the REVERSE piece of the framelit to make these.

Yesterday was a busy day with kids.  We went up to my mom's home to visit her, my step-dad Dick,  Aunt Virginia, Uncle Larry & cousin Le.  Uncle Larry & Le came down from McGregor to visit & bring LOTS of quilts that my Aunt Anita had made.  She passed away earlier this year & he is cleaning closets.  Oh my gosh......I am blessed!!  I got several of them.....so finished & some not finished...I will treasure them forsure.

Last night the guys went racing.  I wanted to go, but knew I had too much I had to get caught up on her at home.  Nathan won his heat & he won the main too!!!  Yeah!!

Today I'm home (alone I think) & will be stamping all day!  I hope I have good mojo!

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!
Happy Stamping!

More- Color Your Season Bundle!

It is FABULOUS Friday & I have a pretty card for you!

Those of you that know me, know that I LOVE fall!!

This is a clean & simple card, but I love the way it turned out!  It is a totally Susie card.

How did I do it?
  • I stamped the leaves onto the Whisper White card stock using my Black Stazon pad.
  • Then using Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze & Old Olive & a separate sponge for all 3 colors- I lightly sponged the colors in various places to add color.  I tapped, tapped, tapped- LIGHTLY!
TIP:  Notice how the ink almost has little dots like......so it is important to make sure you lightly tap, tap, tap & don't push or rub or your color will turn out alot darker.
HERE IS ANOTHER TIP:
I didn't want my leaf to be all the way cut out.  So I CAREFULLY added a few dimensionals on the backside of the leave BEFORE I removed it from the framelit!  That way it would keep all of the pieces inside the leaf instead of them being cut out.

stamp set: 'Blended Season'
card stock:  Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Whisper White
ink:  Black Stazon, Old Olive, Cajun Craze & Crushed Curry
other:  Big Shot, Standard Platform, Stitched Seasons Framelits, Old Olive ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dot, Sponge

Yesterday was a busy day with kids.  In the morning, Brayden spent several hours outside helping Deke move feeder pigs out the nurseries & into the outside lot building.  Brayden was excited & Deke was happy to have the help.  So Ainslee & Masen went with me & we ran errands in town.  Then yesterday afternoon we enjoyed the nice weather again outside.  And when the kids went home I spent my night working on stamping stuff.

This morning I'm up early to walk & will then spend my day with the kids.  My uncle Larry is coming to visit all of us at my mom's later this morning.  He lives in McGregor & we only get to see him a few times a year.  So the kids & I run up there to visit for awhile.

I'm not sure what we will end up doing tonight.  I need to stay home & stamp.  But Nathan wants to go to Columbus Junction & race.......so we'll see how our day goes & if Deke gets done moving pigs in time I might end up going with everyone.  We haven't raced there all yet & I really don't want to miss it.

Gotta run.......
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Graceful Glass- a stained glass window easel card!

Good morning!!  Can you believe that it is the last day of July already?  Wow- this month just flew by.

Don't forget that today is the last day to take advantage of the Buy 3 Designer Papers & get one for FREE!  You can see that special by CLICKING HERE!

Check out this cool card!  I think it turned out really pretty!

I was playing with coloring some of the images in this Graceful Glass (6x6) Vellum pack.  This square worked out perfect to do this fun fold with.

Isn't this vellum just beautiful!  It really does look like a stained glass window.

The front side of the vellum has a black embossed image on it.

If you want it to be more subtle- like a true stained glass window- then color it on the back side of the vellum/image.  If you want it to be more bold & vibrant- then color it on the front side.
Look at it when it opened up!  It is a fun fold easel card.

stamp set: ' Painted Glass'
card stock:  Gorgeous Grape, Basic Black, Vellum
designer paper:  Graceful Glass 6x6 vellum
ink:  Black Stazon
Stampin' Blends combo packs:  Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Pineapple Punch
other:  Glitter Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Yesterday was a busy day with 6 kids!  Manda & I got the twins birthday invites created & ended up making 19 of them. Their party is going to be at the park.....so I'll share their card sometime soon.  It turned out really cute!

The kids had fun playing together.  Weather wise it was a beautiful day out for July!  So I'm glad they got to be out in it & enjoy it!

Last night when the kids went home I was a farmer.  I headed outside to work on the farm & help Deke.  Steve came out to help us awhile too, as we had lots of pigs to sort.

When I got in I made supper & worked on getting more things that were in our wet bathroom put away.  And I did a little stamping stuff before we finally called it a night.  Deke had a terrible day, as the hopper on one of the bins broke & he had almost 5 tons of feed all over the finisher.  He had to scoop it up with a shovel, cart out & reload it in the mixer.  It was a huge mess!  I felt so bad for him.  Brayden went out to help him for awhile when he got home from his board meeting.  And our feed guy, Dustin helped him for about an hour too.  And on top of everything else, Deke picked up a bad cold too (probably on the plane).  I sure hope that none of the rest of us end up getting it.

This morning I'm up early to walk & spend my day with the 3 Wood kids.  I have my yearly allergy dr appointment later this afternoon in Bloomfield.  I have to pick up Manda on my way home (as they are getting their van worked on).  And then tonight I'm gonna work on stamping stuff!

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

I LOVE 'Wonderful Moments'!

WOW!!!
Talk about awesome!!
Talk about easy!
Talk about a great stamp set & words combined together.......this set 'Wonderful Moments'-has it all!

This is a quick card I made for a bridal shower (for my nephews fiance) last week- right before we left for the cruise.  I made it using scraps that were in my scrap box sitting on my table.  It literally took me 10 minutes or less.  And I just love how it turned out!

What did I do?
  • I colored the flowers, her hair & her skin using my Stampin' Blends.
  • I put the Wink of Stella all over her dress & on her flowers too!
  • I added a some Artisan pearls.
  • I tucked in a Pearlized Doily along the bottom edge.
  • And check out the Powder Pink 3/8" Mini Ruffled Ribbon!  I thought it was a great final touch!
I sent a text picture of this card to both of my girls- Manda & Sarah, to see what they thought!  They both loved it too!

stamp set:  'Wonderful Moments'
card stock:  Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Very Vanilla
ink:  Black Memento pad
Stampin' Blends:  Ivory, Petal Pink, Bronze
other:  1 1/4" Circle Punch, Artisan Pearls, Wink of Stella, Powder Pink Ruffled Ribbon, Pearlized Doily, Dimensionals, Glue Dot

Yesterday was a busy day!!  I started it off walking, then I worked on getting the dirty laundry washed (literally all day).  Sarah & the kids came down after lunch & we made 33 birthday invites for Masen's upcoming birthday party!  And then last night right after supper we had a disaster!!  Our hot water line under the sink cabinet in our bathroom blew a huge hole.  We literally had inches of standing water in minutes- all over!  Thankfully Deke was home & he got the water shut off & then helped me clean up the mess!  It was in & under the cabinet, all over the floor, in the closet floor, in all of the drawers in the cabinet.......just a total disaster!!  We used every towel in our closets & drawers to get it soaked up.  So I then had 4 more loads of dirty laundry to get washed last night!  We left everything opened up, with fans blowing on it all night!  And this morning I'm up early to get everything all put back where it belongs before all of the kids get here for the day!

Deke is off early to chore & head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.  He'll go get parts to repair the hot water line afterwards & fix it for me this afternoon.

Manda & the boys are coming out this morning too.  We are going to make the twins birthday invites.  And then she has an appointment this afternoon, so the boys will be here with me.  So I'll have all 6 kids today!  Tonight when they go home I have piles of mail & things to catch up on!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

Here is my cruise swap, using 'Pop of Petals'!

Check out my piles........I was working on my cruise swap!!
I just got this new flower stamp set & coordinating punch!
I couldn't wait to use it!!
I chose Calypso Coral & Petal Pink colors of card stock, so that it would
coordinated with the pretty Tea Room Specialty DSP!
So what do you think?
My swap ended up having alot more pieces than I had planned
& took me longer than I had hoped it would,
but I love the way it turned out!!

I finished theses swaps early in the morning,
sitting on a pillow, in the hallway of our hotel room in Seattle-
using the bathroom light to see
& trying to be quite, as Deke was still sleeping!
And I finished them just in time to catch the bus to go get on the ship!

stamp set:  'Pop of Petals' & 'Detailed with Love'
card stock:  Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Old Olive, Petal Pink
designer paper:  Tea Room Specialty DSP
ink:  Calypso Coral
other:  1/4" Ombre Calypso Coral ribbon, Four Petal Flower Punch, Blossom Builder Punch (for the leaves), Paper Snips (to fussy cut out the center of the flowers), Share What you Love Artisan Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
+++++++++
OH gosh......Deke & I both have sea legs.......after being on a ship for that many days you just feel like you are still moving with the water.  It is just a really weird & blah feeling.  I hope we both feel better today & it goes away soon.

My mom sent me a message- welcome home!  And I replied back to her that I felt like Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz- "There is no place like HOME!"

Deke worked on the farm all day yesterday.  And I worked on unpacking, doing laundry & catching up on our piles of mail & tons of emails!  I feel like I just spun my wheels all day!  As I still have soooo much to do to try to catch up.  Nathan, Sarah & the kids stopped by a few minutes to say hi & check in with us.  The kids were excited to see us!  And we were excited to see them too! We'll be seeing the Seeley family soon- probably tomorrow, as Manda & I have some stamping to do together (to make the twins birthday invites).  We can't wait to see them too!

Today Deke will be working on the farm all day!!  I'll going to continue trying to get caught up on our mounds of laundry.  And I have lots of stamping to get done.  As I have Masen's BD invites to get created & done before I can go to bed tonight!  So hope I have some creative mojo!

Have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

Our Alaska cruise- Day #3

Here are some photos of our Day #3 in Juneau, Alaska on Sunday, July 22nd, 2018!
Deke is standing by a big stuffed bear here, as we are getting ready to
take the Mt. Roberts Tramway to the top.

Here are some of the beautiful views from the top!
And then we (Deke, me, Amy & Jimmie) all hiked 2 1/2 miles up to
the top through the rain forest.
This cross was at the top.  It was sooo cool!!
And Jimmie is a minister.  So that made it even more special!
 The view was just amazing!
We are headed back down the mountain.
Here is a photo of Deke, Amy & Jimmie on the little bridge we crossed.
And here is a picture of downtown Juneau, as we are walking back to the ship.
We walked over 8 miles this day!!
It was a beautiful day weather wise & we had a great time with friends!

Our Alaska cruise- Day #2 (Holiday Catalog sneak peeks)!

On Saturday, July 21st we sailed all day.
