'In Every Season' (& more) Sneak Peeks!

Wow- I love it!!  This flower stamp set is a new set in the upcoming annual catalog called- 'In Every Season'!  I also used the new 'Detailed with Love' stamp set for the words.  Isn't this just a beautiful card.  I made it for a dear friend for her birthday!!  And also made another one like it (without words) to send to a downline of mine that had surgery a couple of weeks ago.  It is just sooo much fun stamping with new products & sharing new ideas!

There is alot of NEW products that I used here.

Check out this NEW In Color called- Pineapple Punch!  It is a bright yellow!!
And yes- there is coordinating DSP too to match all of the NEW In Colors!  It is strips & polka dots!  Check them out!

And look at this gorgeous NEW Polka Dot Tulle ribbon!  It is soooo cool!!
I made this a window card by punching out a circle on the front layer of the card.  And then added punched out layers to it to add dimension & more color!
These are the circle layers I made to add to the front of the card.

I was on the go all day again yesterday!!  I was up early to get things cleaned up from Friday nights class & ready for yesterday mornings group to come stamp.  It was a fun morning of stamping with all that joined me.  Yesterday afternoon I went to our (nephew Jordan Woods' fiancee), Shannon's bridal shower with Amanda, Sarah (& kids) & my sister-in-law Pam.  When I got home I burnt the midnight oil cutting card stock!

This morning I'm up early to finish getting everything all packed up & ready to head out.  I'm off to Hiawatha today to join many that are coming to stamp with me today.  I have a morning & an afternoon class there.  Ruth & Denise are my hostesses.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone  & spend our time stamping together!

Tonight we are going to Nathan & Sarah's, along with Manda, Steve & all of the kids- to have supper & a belated Mother's Day supper!

A Brusho "Butterfly"!

Look at the sparkles on this butterfly!!  It is just beautiful in person!!  I love it!  And so did lots of the ladies that have made it so far at my May monthly classes.
NOTES:
-On the solid piece of Glimmer I have shown here- I used the Yellow & the Gamboge Brusho colors.  -On the Glimmer piece above that I have the butterfly cut out of, I used the Red & Yellow Brusho colors.

Check out the Glimmer Butterfly on my card.
Here is how you make the butterfly-
  • Cut a 3x3" piece of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.
  • Sprinkle the Brilliant Red Brusho onto it.
  • Take a Spritzer with alcohol & sprayed onto the Glimmer Paper/Brusho combination.
  • Let it dry for about 1 hour.
  • Then with the Glimmer side down on your Big shot & the butterfly framelit (cutting side down) onto the slick back side of the Glimmer paper- run it through the Big Shot.
In my opinions I found:
-That the Red Brusho with the Alcohol spritzed on it alone, did not blend well & leave a vibrant color on the Glimmer paper.  I did re-wet/spray it several times with the alcohol & I took a sponge duaber & worked in the Red Brusho, so that it wasn't in a cluster.  When I added the Yellow Brusho with it-it  blended a little better & added some more color to the Glimmer.  But my favorite was when I combined the Yellow & the Camboge Brusho colors, as the blended well & showed more vibrant colors. But those colors didn't go with this card- but it sure would work well for another color combination of So Saffron & Pumpkin Pie or even Calypso Coral!  (hint! hint!)

No matter how many times you do this technique- it will NEVER turn out to be the exact same look!  Each piece has it's own/individual look!
So everyone joining me at my 4 stamp classes this weekend will be making this butterfly card with me!

stamp sets:  'Perennial Birthday' & 'Touches of Texture'
card stock:
  • Basic Black-- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"; 2 3/4" strip; 4 1/4 x 3 1/4"; 1/2 x 4 1/4"

  • Whisper White- 4 x 5 1/4"

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  It was a hot & muggy afternoon, but we played outside anyways.  Deke got the yard mowed before he left for his night meeting, so when the kids went home I worked in the yard for about 2 hours- pulling weeds.  I still have LOTS to do in it, but it looks better than it did.  I then came in & burnt the midnight oil stamping!

This morning I'm up early & gonna work on stamping stuff before the kids get here.  I'll spend my day with the 3 little ones.  And then we have a ballgame to go tonight.   I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping when we get home.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

'A Little Wild' treats!

Look at these adorable little treats made with the 'A Little Wild' stamp set!  I am not sure which is cuter- the bear or the elephant.  They are both adorable!

My dear demonstrator friend Sharon McNeely made these for everyone that attended my Spring Fling last month.  Wow- such a great treat & nice surprise for me & all of my customers that attended too!
They all hard little rolo candies in them!

She cute them out with the coordinating Little Loves Framelits!

Yesterday I spent the day at home, except for going up to Deke's parents for a few minutes yesterday morning to say 'good-bye' to our Pennsylvania family that was here & headed back to their home.

I worked on stamping stuff all day/night.  In the afternoon, Manda came out to bring my Mother' day gift & we stamped for a couple of hours- creating & cutting invitations for Trey's birthday party!  Nathan stopped down last night & brought my Mother's Day card & flowers.

Deke is off early to chore this morning & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to walk & then head to town.  I'll take the twins to school & then spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Deke has another meeting tonight- so when the kids go home I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!
Happy Stamping!

WOW- the NEW 2018-2020 In Colors!!

Oh wow- here is a card I made for a class last week to show off the NEW 20180-2020 In Colors!!

This card has something old & something new both used on it!

The layout is a weave that my demonstrator friend LeeAnn shared.  When I saw the layout I knew then that I was going to use it with the New In Colors. And I sure think this card turned out so cute!

This layout is a great way to use up your 1/2" scraps!  Are you a saver or a thrower?  If you are a saver- you are set to go!  If you are a thrower, you'll just have to cut some 1/2" strips to weave!
The 'Stylized Birthday' stamp set here is RETIRING!  It is a single stamp!  And it is such a great stamp!  I have used it alot & I'll miss it!  It was my "go to stamp" when I needed a larger birthday font.

The stars came from the 'Confetti Celebration' stamp set & it is RETIRING too!  I also used the words from this stamp set in the inside of the card too.  Again- this is a favorite stamp set of mine that I'll miss.  I have sure used it alot over the years!

The stitching along the In Color strips I did was super easy!  I just used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and free handed it.

So which is your favorite NEW In Color?  I like them all!  I am honestly probably the most excited though about the Blueberry Bushel, as we really need a blue card stock like this!
  • Call Me Clover- green
  • Blueberry Bushel- blue
  • Pineapple Punch- yellow
  • Grapefruit Grove- peach
  • Lovely Lipstick-red
Here are the supplies & the measurments that I used-

stamp set:  'Stylized Birthday' & 'Confetti Celebration'- BOTH are RETIRING!

  • Grapefruit Grove- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2- fold in half for card base- NEW

Yesterday was a busy day!!  It started out with all 6 kids!  We made it to school, just as the first bell was ringing.  I then came home & spent my day with the 3 little ones.  The weather was chilly, wet & windy- so we didn't get to play outside much.  We did go out for a bit in the afternoon & had my niece, Stephanie, her husband, Chris & their 2 kids- Katie & Henry, here to visit & play with the boys.  It was WONDERFUL to get to see them, as we hadn't seen them for almost a whole year, as they live in Pennsylvania.

Manda picked up her 3 boys after she got off of work.  And we had Masen & Ainslee here for the evening with us.  After we took the kids home I picked up toys, answered a few emails , did my post & called it a night.

This morning we are up early & off for a busy day!!  I'm cooking food & getting ready to head out the door to my sister Beckie's.  We are having a Mother's Day brunch with my side of the family this morning.  We are also squeezing in a couple of soccer games too.  Then tonight we will have supper with Deke's family, so we can all get to see some of our Pennsylvania family that is here visiting.

I hope you have a SPECIAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

This morning I'm headed to town to get the boys, take them to school & then spend my day again with the 3 little ones.  The 3 big boys will be here after school.
