Day 1 at Founders

We are having a fun time.
Stampin' UP! had a meet & greet for us. We are listening to Shelli welcome us.

We were divided into groups so that we could meet new friends.
Here is my 'team' for this year.
Our 'team' is called the "Ocean View Beach".
We had a great time getting to know each other.

Here is a picture of our supper table.
Our place setting name tags were so cute!
Check out our little gift- a monogram personalized stamp.  Love it!
The packaging of it is cool too!

And I can't forget to share this.....
Here is the picture of Brody, Papa & Drake that I took on Tuesday morning.

I am headed to Founders!!!

HI!
I'll soon be walking out the door & driving to the airport.  I am headed to St. George, Utah, for Stampin' UP!'s Founders Circle.  So if you are reading this post at the normal time I post I'll be in an airplane & on my way!

I am so looking forward to seeing so many of my friends today in St. George.  I am sad though too, as one of my dear friends- LeeAnn is sick & thus she will not be joining us this year.  I am bummed!  But I hope she is feeling better soon!!  I will sure miss her!

I am just about all packed & ready to go.  I wanted to get a little sleep before I left, but I'm so pumped I don't think I can sleep.  I need to be back up by 2:15 to shower & leave by 3:00, so is it worth even trying to sleep?

I will try to post daily from Founders, but it probably won't be on in the mornings.  It will all depend on when I get back to my room & have time to do it.  Promise you'll hear from me though!!

Today's post is another cute project that I took a picture of at a SU! event- thus I assume someone at SU! created it.  I think it is adorable though & it would make an awesome gift box for a special person.

ink:  Baja Breeze
supplies:  Big Shot, Fancy Favor Bigz XL die, paper snip

I love to fly (my dad use to have a single engine pilots license when we were young & we flew often on Sunday afternoons).....I just hate to be delayed & spend so much wasted time in airports when traveling.  Thus I pray I have a good trip out & back home.  Looks like there will be storms & rain when landing in Denver this morning, so hope that goes ok.  Then flying to Vegas where I'll get on a SU! bus with other demonstrators & ride for 2 hours to St. George, Utah.  Our journey has begun!!  The scenery along the way is amazing!!  Mother Nature has done wondrous works & the view is breathtaking.  All of the rocks, dessert & colors are so different than the fields & green grass we have here in Iowa.  When we get to our St. George Hotel SU! will have a light lunch buffet waiting on us.  I will then go to the SU! hospitality room & visit.  It is fun to wait for everyone to walk into the hotel & greet them.  There will be lots of hugs, lots of laughing & lots of catching up to do.  It is like a big family reunion!!  Tonight we will all have a big supper together in our hotel!!  I am looking forward to seeing old friends & meeting some new ones too.  SU! is an amazing company & we will be spoiled this week.  Pillow gifts & all!  So be sure to stop back by & I'll share my week with you!  I always come home from here with lots of ideas to share with my downline & customers & can't wait for that either.   When demonstrators all get together we share our ideas & have an awesome time!

I am a huge homebody though- so know by tomorrow I'll already be getting home sick & missing all of my boys.  I took some cute pictures of Deke & the twins yesterday morning, but they are still on my camera- so will post them sometime soon too.  I am thankful for my family & Steven's family too, as they are helping out with the twins while I'm gone this week.  I know my mom & nieces are thrilled about spending Friday with the twins.  Aunt Kathy is helping out with Brayden & Steven's dad actually took off work today & tomorrow to keep the twins too.  Bless them all!!!

Ok- I've gotta run......still lots to do.  I'm so EXCITED for the amazing day/week I have ahead of me & look forward to it all!

I hope you have a great day!!
Happy Stamping!

A Christmas Tree

Good morning!  A quick post......trying to get my swaps for Founders finished.  They are all done except putting the (already tied) bows on about 60 of them!!  Then put them into clear envelopes. The other 60 are completely done.  YIPEE!

I think that this tree is so cute.  It is a framed item that was on our display table at a SU! event, so someone that works at SU! created it.  It is just so pretty!!  And it would be beautiful as a card too.

'Chock-Full of Cheer'
'Cheerful Christmas' standard size wheel

I leave here by 3:00 in the morning for the airport to go to SU! Founders in St. George, Utah.
I don't quite have my swaps done, I haven't started packing, I need to do laundry & pay bills, etc....
LOTS to do before I head out.
I hope to get a couple of hours of sleep tonight too. Ha!ha!
But the twins will be here today & I will enjoy them & be a busy bee tonight when they go home.
I'll sure miss all of my little guys (& Deke) when I'm gone.
I'm very much a home body & as excited & honored I am about going to Utah I will also be home sick by Thursday!

I shared pictures yesterday of my mom's birthday party & today is her special day!
So- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MOM!  I love you Mom!

Founders Swap PEEK!

Good morning!

Here is a PEEK at my Founders Swap!!  I love it!  Hope the ones that get it at Founders like it too!  BUT- I only have ONE of my Founders swaps done so far.  I only have 119 more to go!!! YIKES!!!  I have the main base & layer all cut, stamped & attached to each other.  Now to get the Oval Accent die piece cut & stamped, the pearls on & the ribbons tied & put it all together.  Then they will be done.....so I have a long ways yet to go!  I plan to work on them tomorrow night after work.  I want to have them all completely done before I leave.  Pray that that plan happens.  I will post my Founders Swap & details here on my blog on Friday morning, as our swap is Thursday night.

Yesterday was a BUSY & FUN day!!!  We had all 3 grandsons all day.  We walked in the Delta Days Parade with my sister Beckie Appleget- as she is running for Keokuk County Auditor on the November ballet.  We will be attending as many events as we can campaigning with her in the next 2 months!  She would do a great job as auditor, as she is a wiz at numbers & very organized.  Hopefully she will get the position.  The tax payers of Keokuk County need her to be there!

Here is a picture of Drake, Brayden & Brody that I took yesterday afternoon when we got home from the parade.  ( I forgot to take my camera to the parade- as I was just doing good to get all of the boys ready & out the door in time.)
I posted this photo on Face Book, along with this comment:
We went to the Delta Days Parade this morning!!  Look at the cool shirts we wore!  We LOVE our Aunt Beckie Appleget!!!  Be sure to VOTE for her for KEOKUK COUNTY AUDITOR in November!!  Drake, Brayden & Brody
Here is another picture of the boys......I had a hard time getting the twins to sit still.  It was pretty comical trying to get a decent picture of all 3 of them together!  Aren't they precious though!

Another BUSY day here today.  I'm off to finish typing up my supply list, cut a few last minute Big Shot pieces for one of today's cards, pack up everything & head to Iowa City for a workshop today with Lori being the hostess.  She has several friends coming & I'm super EXCITED to share 6 amazing card creations with them to create!

THEN tonight we have a big family picnic to celebrate my mom's upcoming 70th Birthday- which is  later this week.  So yesterday I cooked a half a hog, so we'll have shredded pork sandwiches, cheesy potatoes & a pot luck supper for tonight.  It will be topped off with a yummy Donna Vail cake too!  All of my sisters & their families will be there.  We all haven't been together since last Thanksgiving- so it will be exciting to get to see each other.  My aunt Virginia from Keswick & my aunt Anita & uncle Larry from McGregor & many of their family are going to join us too!  Plus a few of my step siblings.  Can't wait!!

Ok.......I've got to run.  Lots to do.......

I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Good morning!

Today I'm sharing a beautiful card that my very talented downline Judy Hopping made.

'Perfectly Preserved'- LOVE this jar!

Good morning!!

I stamped almost all day yesterday!!  I now have all of my cards created for my 2 stamp classes  that I have this week.  Yipee!!  They are all cute!!  I can't wait to share.  But first have to get everything cut.  Crystal came & helped me for a couple of hours in the afternoon.  She got some things cut with the Big Shot.  That was so sweet of her!  I enjoyed her company too, as we never get to see much of each other or visit any more since I don't work with her now.

Brayden was in the shop with his dad all day, so he was back & forth from there to the house & ate lunch with us.  He talked me into making a batch of Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies for him to help with & take them to the shop for the guys too.  They were yummy!
I have been playing with this 'Perfectly Preserved' stamp set some more.  I am doing a cute card (with a fun fold) with it at my classes this week- so will show you that card in the next week or so.  I got a swap with a doily under the jar & a tag hanging from the lid that I thought was cute- so recreated her card & came up with this card.

Scallop Oval punch Doily under it.

I am finally feeling a little better.  I still have a little cough & sore throat.  I hope the boys & I are all on the uphill side to being better.  I don't have time to be sick!

Today the twins will be here.  (Brayden has pre-school.)  And tonight we sell hogs.  I am hoping to get to cut some card stock if I can get the boys to nap at the same time.
Wish me luck!!

Have a great day!
