Be Dazzling Specialty Paper Fun Fold Pumpkin Card

Here is a fun fold fall card using the 'Pretty Pumpkin' bundle.
Check out the SPARKLY pumpkin!!

I used the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper that is a
Sale-a-bration choice you can get for FREE with a $50 product order.
NOTE:  Be Dazzling Specialty Paper is champagne color,
but I colored it with my Cajun Craze Stampin' Blend!!
So doing this coloring was the whole emphasis for me in making this card.
Notice how I just colored a square section of it.
Be sure you use the Brush tip (fat) end of the Stampin' Blend
& LIGHTLY color it with the edge of the blend.
Don't push hard or use the tip, so that you don't ruin your tip!
I did cut the pumpkin from the back side.
As per the message on page 3 in the Sale-a-bration Mini-
"Cutting glittered paper leads to accelerated dulling of dies or blades."
This is what it looks like when it is cut out!

Check out how I did the stem......yup,
the type A person in me had to have a colored stem.
So I stamped the stem onto a Crumb Cake strip & then fussy cut it out with scissors
& glued it over the top of the glittery pumpkin stem.
Here is the pattern I used in making this fold.

  • 5 1/2 x 11"- score at 3 3/8" & 7 5/8"
  • measure at 1 1/2" & diagonally cut off top corner as shown.
  • measure at 1" & diagonally cut off bottom corner as shown.
Below is the pattern for the DSP.
It measures 3 1/8 x 5 1/4".
Used the same markings as you did for the card front.
  • measure at 1 1/2" & diagonally cut off top corner at shown.
  • measure at 1" & diagonally cut off bottom corner as shown.

This is what it will look like when you have cut the DSP layer!

See how easy it is to make this DSP layering!
I embossed the front left part of the card using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
I layered a piece of DSP to the right side.
This is what the card looks like opened up!
Notice how I added a 1/4" strip of Cajun Craze colored
Be Dazzling Specialty Paper along the bottom.
Yup- I did fussy cut the words too,
as there are no dies for them.
But it was easy to do & not perfect- but I thought it gave a special
added part to finalize the card!

And yes- I colored some Basic Rhinestones using my
Dark Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends too, so that they matched the card stock!

So what do you think?
Leave me a comment below & let me know!

So what do you think?
When I first saw this DSP I actually thought that
the flowers were stamped onto a linen type paper.

I used the words from the 'Pretty Pumpkin' stamp set.

I did fussy cut them out with my scissors!
*I stamped the words onto a scrap strip piece of the dsp that I cut off.

Peaceful Deer Bundle with Peaceful Prints DSP

 I LOVE this card!
It is a totally Susie card.

What a great guy card it is!
Or it could be a Christmas card.
And depending on the words you put on it,
this could be a card for many different occasions!

I used the 'Peaceful Deer' Bundle on page 26 in the Holiday Catalog.
This deer is from the Deer Builder Punch!
It is awesome!
As you know I'm a punch girl!
I added a row of trees along the bottom of the card,
using the Evergreen Border Punch found on page 147 in the Annual Catalog.
How did I do it?
1.  I used a 1 1/4 x 4" strip of Garden Green card stock.
2.  I lined it up along the left edge of the punch & punched!
3.  I slid the card stock over to the right &
LINED UP THE PUNCHED TREES like shown above & punched again!
4.  I then got a whole row of perfectly lined up trees!
It is so easy to do!
COOL HUH!
To make the WINDOW that is in the card front I used the
Label Me Lovely Punch on page 150 in the Annual Catalog.
I slide the punch into the TOP part of the card front as far as it would go.
I made sure that there was even spacing on both the right & sides.
And I then punched to make the WINDOW!
I embossed the card front using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder,
on page 37 in the Holiday Catalog.

This is what the card looks like opened up!
Notice how I stamped the trees on the card inside.
This way the trees show thru to the front of the card when the card it shut.
Here are the supplies & measurements.
stamp set:  'Peaceful Deer'
card stock:
  • Garden Green- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"- for back of card
  • Crumb Cake- 5 1/4 x 8"- score at 4", fold in half for card base, emboss the front part using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder & then attach to the Garden Green base
  • Garden Green- 1 1/4 x 4"- punch out trees
  • Garden Green- 1 1/4 x 4"- layer behind the dotted DSP
  • Crumb Cake- 2" strip- stamp deer & punch out
  • Basic White- 1/2" strip- stamp words onto & cut to desired length with scissors

Counting Sheep and Sheep Dies

How can a farm girl not make a card with this sheep being in a pasture?

This sheep is from the 'Counting Sheep' stamp set that is a
Sale-a-bration choice!
You can get it for FREE with a $50 product order.
And it also has coordinating Sheep Dies.
The dies are also a Sale-a-bration choice
that you can get for FREE with a $50 product order!
Aren't the clouds cool!
I made with by making a cloud strip using the Basic Borders Dies.
I used the Balmy Blue ink pad & a Blending Brush.
It is easy to do & I think it looks so neat!
I started at the top, angling my clouds & rubbing on ink,
moving downward onto the Basic White card stock.
This is how I made the grass.
I cut a piece of Old Olive card stock into a 1 1/4 x 3 3/4" strip.
I tore the strip in 1/2 like this!
I taped the first strip on like this.
And then adhered the second strip over the top of it.
I rubbed my fingernail along the grass edges to make it fluff up.
I then adhered the gate like this.
If you want you can add color to the sheep with Stampin' Blends.
OR just leave him as a black & white one.
Both are sooo cute!
This is what it looks like opened up.
It is a center gate fold card.
Look how I made the strip for the words.
I cut a 3/4" strip of Balmy Blue card stock, stamped the words onto it.
And then used the Tailored Tag Punch to punch it out!
This is the card that made for Masen.
Today is his 6th birthday!
Wow- I can't believe it!
He is growing up too fast!
I hope he likes this card.

I made a pop up center for Masen's card & will put some money into it!
We will celebrate his birthday tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Delicate Dahlia Masking Technique

I love the big 'Delicate Dahlia' stamp set.
It is a dis'ink'tive stamp set.
That means it has natural shading directly made into the stamp,
to make the light & dark spots!

This 'Delicate Dahlia' stamp set is a Sale-a-bration choice.
This mean that you can get this stamp set for FREE with a
$100 product order.
WOO HOO!!

Isn't it just gorgeous!
This is what the card looks like when standing up.
It is a fun Z fold.
Z fold cards are my favorite go to card layout.
They are easy to do & give the card a little different flare.
 +++++++++
How did I make the Dahlia flower stamp?
I did the MASKING TECHNIQUE!

I used my Stamparatus.
Look how easy the Stamparatus helps to make this flower so easy to stamp!
NOTE:  If you look closely at my flower stamps- I do have a little Black Sharpie
mark on the thin pointed petal at the bottom middle on BOTH flower stamps.
This helps me to know how to line it up too!

1.  Stamp the outline image of the flower.
 2.  This is what it looks like!
3.  Now stamp the solid image flower stamp- lining it up into the outline flower.
SOME NOTES:  My photopolymer stamps are stained a pinkish red color.
The stamp is cleaned & is now inked into my Highland Heather ink pad.
The staining does not affect the stamp at all, other than the color of it.
If you use your stamps they will not stay completely clear & this is ok!

VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW-
DO NOT CLEAN PHOTOPOLYMER STAMPS WITH STAZON CLEANER
as it will damage your photopolymer stamps!

 4.  I inked the flower & shut the Stamparatus top lid with the solid image flower on it.
I used my PRESS to put pressure all over the stamp, so that I got a good solid image.

What is a PRESS?
Deke made this for me.
(YES I have a wonderful & talented husband that it totally supportive of my stamping!)
The PRESS is an old Stampin' Up! Wood block that he painted, put a knob onto &
glued on a felt coaster.
It is AWESOME!
And I got this idea for the PRESS from my wonderful downline Von,
whom made one similar to this & gave it to me.
So BLESS HER for this awesome idea!
This is what the PRESS looks like!
5.  And this is what the stamped Dahlia looks like!
WOW- isn't it sooo pretty!
6. Now I made a MASK out of a Post-It-Note.
I stamped the outline flower onto the Post-It-Note & then with my scissors I
fussy cut out around the flower image where I wanted the leaves to go.
NOTE:  I left some of the TOP sticky part of the Post-It-Note so
that it would stick to my card stock.
I put this MASK directly over my purple stamped flower.

7.  I now stamped my leaves onto the corners of my flower like this,
stamping onto the edges of the Post-it-Note MASK.
8.  This is what it looks like when the leaves are stamped &
you remove the Post-It-Note MASK.
Neat huh!
I just LOVE how these turned out!
Here are the supplies & measurements.
