My gnome!

Last Friday on Valentines Day I shared this cute Valentines Gnome that I made for the kids.

On my post that day I said that I'd share measurements
& details about this fun fold flat box card.
So read on to find out HOW I DID IT!
And then I hope you try to make one too!
  • Start with card stock- 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 5 1/2", 6 1/2", 9" & 10"
  • Add  Tear & Tape to the end- like shown.
  • Use your Bone Folder & fold "good" on all of the scored lines.
  • Remove the Tear & Tape.
  • Fold it like down like this.  Notice that the Tear & Tape score line, PLUS the next score line are folded under here.
  • Now press down to stick it shut.
  • THIS now forms the box.
  •  This is what it looks like when it is now opened up.

  • Now adhere your DSP onto it.  The heart image piece is- 4 x 2 1/4".  The striped image piece is- 4 x 2 3/4".

  • You can now add the next piece.  It measures- 5 1/4 x 2 3/4"- score at 3 7/8" & 4 7/8".
  • Add Tear & Tape to the end.
  • Use your Bone Folder & fold good on all of the scored lines.

  • Flip this over & add 2 strips of Tear & Tape as shown in this photo, to the other side.
  • Fold it likes this & remove the 3 strips of Tear & Tape.
  • Push your base card all down so that is it laying flat.
  • Be sure that you have the little card stock piece you are adding on, so that it is folded like shown above.
  • The 3 strips of Tear & Tape are all facing down.
  • It is important that you line up the right end so that you have it aligned to match up with the edge of the striped designer paper.
  • BE SURE you have it centered straight onto your flat card base.
  • PRESS DOWN.
  • It is now time to add your decorated part.  I used the 2 largest stitched rectangles from the So Sweetly Stitched Dies.
  • I used all punches to make my gnome-
  1. Pine Tree Punch (hat)
  2. Large Ornament Punch (beard)
  3. Perennial Flower Punch- (feet)
  4. 1/2" Circle Punch- (nose)
  5. Dog Builder Punch- (small heart)
  • I cut the bottom of the tree off like this for his hat.
  •  I cut the tip off of the Large Ornament, like this- for his beard.
  •  I cut the top off of one petal on the Perennial Flower Punch, like this- for his feet.
  •  It is now finished!
  • And this is how adorable it is when it is assembled & standing up!!
I hope my tutorial has been helpful & you can now make your own
flat fold box card & a cute little gnome too!

Have a FABULOUS Friday!!

Dressed to Impress

WOW- what a fun girl card!!!  This whole 'Dressed to Impress' SUITE is just adorable!!!

This is a card that I created for my team meeting in December.   And I totally forgot to post it.

Look at the shoes!  I colored them with some Blackberry Bliss ink refill & my Wink of Stella.  They are nice & sparkly!

How did I do that?
I just put a couple drops of Blackberry Bliss ink refill onto a Clear block & then picked up the ink with the Wink of Stella & colored the shoes!
Check out how I colored the White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon!  I added the little dotted images in this stamp set, along with my Blackberry Bliss ink pad!  It was so easy & so fun to do!
Look at how I stamped the one shoe image, to make a reverse image.  I used my Stamparatus & the Silicone Craft Sheet to transfer the shoe!  This way I had a shoe for the right foot & one for the left foot too!

A Valentines Gnome!

Happy Valentines Day to you!!!!

I LOVE this cute Valentines card that I made for all of the kids!  It turned out super cute & is totally me!  I can't wait to see what the boys think of it when I give it to them.  I know that Drake will love it!  He is my stamper!

I used the 'Heartfelt' Bundle- stamp set & Heart Punches, along with the coordinating From My Heart Specialty DSP.   Plus the awesome So Sweetly Stitched Dies!

Gnomes are just super popular right now & I've seen several of them in various styles.  I made mine a little different.  This is a fun fold flat box card.  I made it differently too, as usually this box is to stand up- but I laid mine on the side.

You can CLICK on this link to see another flat fold card that I did a few years ago!

I used all punches to make my gnome-
  • Pine Tree Punch (hat)
  • Large Ornament Punch (beard)
  • Perennial Flower Punch- (feet)
  • 1/2" Circle Punch- (nose)
  • Dog Builder Punch- (small heart)
Can you see how the left side forms a "box"!  I actually put a Rice Crispie treat in it for the kids.

NOTE:  You could slide some cash into the box too & then it would fit into a regular stampin' up envelope (A-2).  Since I added the Rice Crispie treat, I put my card into a 6 x 8" bag & tied it shut with some red ribbon.
I have lots of photos taken & I will type up a step-by-step tutorial for you on how to make this flat box card sometime soon!

Wishing you a very special Valentines Day today!  And I hope you can enjoy it with a special loved one!
Happy Stamping!

A sour cream container= Monster Valentine!

Do you need a quick & cute little treat holder?  Make one of these sour cream containers!  Be sure you keep reading to the end of this post, as I have a tutorial- including step-by-step instructions & photos, so you can make it!

This Monster just makes me smile!!!  This is the Monster that Brody choose for his Valentine treat.  Check out the tag.....isn't it just stinkin' cute!!

This Monster too, is from the 'Boo to You' Halloween stamp set in the 2019 Holiday Catalog.  I used this same stamp set yesterday on my post, for Drakes Monster Valentine!

Brody's Valentines have Ring Pops inside of the little sour cream container we made!
I used several retired products for this Monster treat.  BUT HERE are the CURRENT Stampin' Up! products- Lovely Lipstick card stock, Memento Pad, Dark Real Red Stampin' Blend, Light Night of Navy Stampin' Blend, Light & Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend, Dimensionals, Glue Dots.

How did we make the Sour Cream container?
  • 6x6" DSP
  • Add Tear & Tape along 2 sides
  • Roll the DSP & make into a tube.
  • Press down good, using a bone folder.
  • Press shut the one end you have the Tear & Tape onto, using a bone folder.
  • Twist the container so that the sides on the other end of the container are opposite from the adhered end.
  • Use a hole punch & go through both layers on the open end.
  • PUT YOUR RING POP or other treat into the container NOW.
  • Put ribbon through the hole, slip on your tag & tie it all shut!
NOTE:  Be sure you use a bone folder to press the edge seams down good- so that the Tear & Tape is stuck & it doesn't pop open.

Here I used the current From My Heart Specialty DSP.
1.  6x6" DSP- add Tear & Tape to 2 sides.
NOTE:  This is the inside of the sour cream container I'm making.
  2.  Roll the container into a tube like this, sticking it together.
3.  Stick the end together like this.
4.  Twist the container & have the opposite edges of the other end meet.
5.  Punch a hole all the way through both layers on the end.
6.  Use approx. 6" of ribbon, put it through thew hole & tie it.  This is to hold your sour cream container shut.

I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

A Monster Valentine!!!

Check out Drake's cute valentine treat!!  He choose the monster from the 'Boo To You' stamp set that was in the 2019 Holiday Catalog!

This 'Boo To You' stamp set was actually one of the Halloween choices & it is now retired.  Usually I don't make nor share projects using retired items.....but this one was too cute to not share!

Plus- keep reading, as I wanted to give you the dimensions on how to make this sucker treat cover!

This is super cute & super easy to make!
Dimensions:
  • 3 x 7"
  • Score at 1/2", 3 1/2" & 6 1/2"
Fold in half & make a small punch through the center to slide your sucker into.
Put Tear & Tape along the top edge.
Add your sucker (we put a glue dot on ours to hold it in).
Fold in half & attach the 2 top folds together.

NOTE:  Be sure you stamp & decorate your sucker cover before you fold it & add your sucker to it.
This is what we did to the back of it.

We stamped the monster in Memento ink & colored it with Stampin' Blends.

**The stamp set, ribbon & the heart punch are also both retired too.

I will be making another little treat like this & post it using all current products so that you can see that!!  So stay tuned & be sure you check back.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!
