We were on the go all day yesterday!  Bank, errands, Walmart, races- that got cancelled due to rain.  They only got the hot laps in before the storm hit.  Thankfully the kids were good troopers all day long!  When we finally got home last night I put away groceries & things & then burnt the midnight working on stamping stuff.

This morning we are up early & headed out to work on the farm all day.  We get baby piggies again today.  And we have some fat hogs we need to sort & move too.  Tonight I'll be cutting card stock!

I hope you have a very special Thursday!
Happy Stamping!

'Animal Outing'

Here is another z fold card using the 'Animal Outing' rhino.

I made this card for a Stampin' Up! Leaders swap that I was in a couple of weeks ago.  It is the same layout & same stamp set as I used for a card that I did at my Spring Fling event.  I changed the DSP to be a new one though that is now available in the NEW Annual Catalog!  Doesn't this DSP look like it could be in a jungle with the big fern leaves?  It is from the Nature's Poem DSP.
This is what it looks like when it is standing up.
And here it is when it is laying down & opened up.
Don't you think it is cute!

Here are the supplies & the measurements for this card-
stamp set:  'Animal Outing'
card stock:
  • Tranquil Tide- 4 1/4 x 11"; 3 x 3 1/2"; 2" strip (for leafs); 2" strip (for label punch)
  • Smoky Slate- 4 x 5 1/4"; 2" strip; 2 3/4 x 3 1/4"
  • Thick Whisper White- 3 x 2 1/2"
designer paper:
  • Nature's Poem DSP- 4 x 2 1/2"; 4 x 1"
ink: Basic Gray
other:  Leaf Punch, Pretty Label Punch, Basic Pearl, Dimensionals, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch

Yesterday was a busy day with kids.  Manda & the boys were here in the morning & I got Brody & Drake's hair cut.  All 6 kids played outside & we enjoyed the beautiful day.  Deke took Brayden to basketball camp & picked him up too.  We all then went to the boys ball games.  Manda, Deke & I worked in the pop house.  Brayden had a great game with a big hit & a good job pitching again.  The twins did a good job too & they are learning alot.  We then went to vote, stopped for some ice cream & came home.  I worked on stamping stuff & Deke went outside to do a few things on the farm.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to his office at the courthouse for awhile.  I'll have the 3 Wood kids again.  Deke & I have our yearly bank appointment for our farm things- so we'll take Brayden to Manda's home so she can take him to basketball camp & we'll take the 2 little ones with us.  Tonight we are all going to the races to cheer Nathan on!  I hope he has good luck.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy stamping!

Yesterday was a crazy day!  We were on the go 100 mph all day/night.  Kids, pigs, bookwork.....and then burning the midnight oil stamping!

This morning I'm up early to get some stamping done before the kids get here at 8.  I'll run Brayden to basketball camp again & pick him up too.  Then tonight the 3 boys all have baseball games.  And I'm helping Manda work in the pop house at the ball field.  Sometime today/tonight I've got to find to make it to the voting polls to vote for my favorite Keokuk County Board of Supervisor too!  When we get home tonight I hope I still have some energy, as I have lots of stamping to do & need to burn the midnight oil again.

I'm off.......I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

'Enjoy Life'

Well......I used the new Shaded Spruce again!  Check it out here.  It is a great color!  The more I use it, the more I love it!  It is a great NEW green color that was just added to our Core Family of colors!

I used the 'Enjoy Life' stamp set again too.  This is a card that I made for a swap that I was in with some demonstrator friends.

I choose this DSP pattern to go with these colors. I think they all look really good together (even though they are not the colors that are listed in the catalog, that are suppose to go together).
I used a circle punch for the words & like the way it looks here.

Check out the Soft Sea Foam green color.  It is really pretty!  It just looks so different in person.  It is not what I thought it would look like at all when I saw the sample of it in the catalog.  And I think it will coordinate great with so many other colors!

stamp set:  'Enjoy Life'
card stock:  Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White
designer paper:  Tranquil Textures
ink:  Shaded Spruce & Soft Seafoam
other:  Pearlized Doily, White Twine, Big Shot, Layering Circles Framelits, Basic Pearls, Dimesionals, Glue Dots, 1 1/2" Circle Punch

Yesterday was a great day of stamping with everyone that joined me.  We all had a fun time time together creating & visiting.  Yesterday's class was my first class with the NEW Catalog!!! And  I have 4 more stamp classes this week to look forward to too!  I can't wait!

This morning  Deke is off early to chore & head to his weekly board meeting.  I'm up early & ready for the kids to get here.  Nathan & Sarah both have early meetings, so the 3 Wood kids will be here to spend the day with me.  Brayden has basketball camp all week, so I'll take him to that & pick him back up later too.

Tonight Deke will be gone, as he has another meeting to go to.  When the kids go home I'll be placing orders, connecting with my hostess & working on stamping stuff!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!
Happy Stamping!

'Rooted in Nature' Trees- a great guy card!

This is a new stamp set called- 'Rooted in Nature'!  It has lots of possibilities for many different occasions.  This one would be a great guy card for Father's Day wouldn't it!
I used the NEW Shaded Spruce color here for the trees & the card base.
For the trees I started in the top left of the card.
I did stamp off for the first tree & then stamped it multiple times without re-inking it so
that I had light & dark trees all over the card front.
I repeated this for all of the rows of trees.
Do you see the little flecks of ink above the trees here?
I used my Shaded Spruce Stampin' Write Marker to make them.
I used the wide tip side of the marker & flick it, using the inside of the marker
lid so that it would come out & onto the card front, leaving the specks.
Along the right edge of the card & all around the edges of the Crumb Cake card stock pieces I stamped the leaves in the Shaded Spruce ink.
This turned out to be a clean & simple card, but very striking!

Did you notice that I used the coordinating framelits- Nature's Roots Framelits Dies.
I cut out 2 of the trees & popped them up, at at the bottom of the tree line!
stamp set:  'Rooted in Nature'
card stock:  Shaded Spruce, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
ink:  Shaded Spruce
other:  Banner Triple Punch, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Nature's Roots Framelits Dies

Yesterday I didn't have any kids, as I worked on the farm, helping Deke most of the day.  We got new baby piggies delivered.  It was soooo hot!!  I felt sorry for us & for the baby piggies too.  When we got in last I burnt the midnight oil stamping.  And was thankful we have air-conditioning to cool us off.

Today it is suppose to be 10* cooler outside, which will seem like alot!  I plan to be going inside most of my day though, going 100 mph hour & spend my day stamping!  Woo Hoo!!  I'm gear up for all of my June classes!  And having so much fun playing with new products from the NEW Annual Catalog!

I've gotta run.........
I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

A 'Brusho' beautiful butterfly!

Oh wow- here is a beautiful butterfly using the NEW Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies!   Isn't it gorgeous!

And check out the new colors that I used here too!  I used the NEW Pineapple Punch & Mango Melody card stock.  I thought that they looked great with the Brusho (yellow & Gamboge).

What is really cool here is that I used the NEW Big Shot Embossing Mats with the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies.  Instead of cutting the butterfly out- look how it embossed it!

Can you believe how cool this is!!  I am sooo excited about it!  And it was sooo easy to do!

NOTE:  When I used the framelits to do this embossing I did have to fussy cut out around the outside of the butterfly, using my Paper Snips.
And then I used the framelits in the regular way to cut out the black butterfly.

So what do you think?
stamp sets:  'Abstract Impressions' & 'Marbled Background'

  • Basic Black-  5 1/2 x 8 1/2"; 4 1/4 x 1"; 2 3/4" strip

  • Shimmery White-  2 3/4" Strip

Yesterday I spent my day with Masen & Ainslee.  It was nice outside in the morning & I got some flowers planted & we played.   Last night we all went to the boys ballgames- Brayden, Brody & Drake's.  It was hot!  I burnt the midnight oil stamping when we got home & Deke worked for awhile in the shop.

Today I'm a farmer.  We get baby piggies in today, so I'll spend the majority of my day helping Deke on the farm.  I don't have any kids today, which is good since it will be another hot day out.  Tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping again.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!

WOO HOO!!! It is 'Big Wishes'!!

WOO HOO!!!

I love the name of this stamp set!!  And I think all of the images in it are super cute!!!

This stamp set- 'Big Wishes' is a new stamp set in the annual catalog that starts tomorrow- June 1st, 2018!

Do you need to create a fun fold birthday card to send to someone special?  This would be a great card to send them.

I sure had fun creating this card.......keep reading & check out how I did it!
  1. Stamp the words onto Watercolor Paper, using Black Memento ink.
  2. Using a clear block & your Stampin' Write Markers- color onto your clear block, so that is looks like this picture. (I used my Call Me Clover & Blueberry Bushel Stampin' Write Markers.)
  3. Using your Stampin' Spritzer with water in it- lightly spray the Watercolor Paper.
  4. Then lightly spray the clear block too- so that you make the colors run together a little.
  5. Turn the inked side of the clear block over & press it down over the stamped words- see the photo below.
And this is what it looks like!  Neat huh!!

         6. I let the Watercolor Paper/stamped image dry a little.
         7. I then took my Pineapple Stampin' Write Marker & colored the candle all in.
         8.  I tired my Call Me Clover ribbon over it & finished assembling my card.
It turned out cool!!

The top flap flips up!  And the inside has a greeting that pulls up & it has room for you to add some cash or a gift card in to the little pocket too!
Here are the supplies & measurements that I used to create this card-
stamp set:  'Big Wishes'
card stock:
  • Call Me Clover-   4 1/4 x 11- score at 2" & 7 1/2"; 3 x 3 1/2"
  • Blueberry Bushel-4 x 1 3/4"; 4 x 3 1/2"
  • Watercolor Paper-3 1/4 x 2 3/4"
  • THICK Whisper White- 5 1/4" x 3 1/4"- score at 1/2" & use tear & tape to adhere to the inside top flap
designer paper:  Garden Impression 6x6 stack- 4 x 3/4"
ink:  Black Memento, Blueberry Bushel
Stampin' Write Markers:  Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch
other:  Call me Clover Ribbon, Wink of Stella, Clear Block. Stampin' Spritzer, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Tear & Tape

Check out the RIBBON-
Call Me Clover ribbon- 3 1/4"- wrap around bottom of words & adhere with tear & tape to stick it to each edge on the back side.  Then I used a 5" piece of ribbon, folded it in half & tied it in a knot- clipping the ends.  I then stuck it over the ribbon strip using a Glue Dot.

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  We went outside to play for awhile in the morning  & enjoyed it before it got too hot out.

Then last night we all went to the races to cheer on Nathan.  The guys worked late hours in the shop getting things ready to go!  He ended up winning his heat & got 4th in the main.  Not bad for driving his old car, as the good one was the one that was wrecked bad last week.

It was kids night at the races.  Nathan & Sarah donated 2 bikes for the kids drawing.  Ainslee stayed home with her other grandma & Masen & I rode in the truck/trailer with Deke.  We meet Manda & her boys there.  Manda & I helped Sarah get the kids all signed up & things lined up for the bike drawings before the races started.   There were a total of 38 total kids bikes/trikes that were donated.  It was a huge success!!  Sarah did a great job in making it all run super smoothly.  Masen & Brody were both lucky bike winners too!

I will have kids today, but not sure how many or when yet they are coming.  Then tonight all 3 big boys have ball games again, so we'll be going to them & I think I have to help out in the pop house.

I hope you have a very special Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

'Enjoy Life'- a NEW Catalog sneak peek!

I love this stamp set!  I can't wait to create with it some more.  It has endless possibilities!

And I think that this stamp set could be used for many different occasions too!

I've used some new products here to make this card.  You can get these on June 1st when the NEW Annual Catalog starts!
  • 'Enjoy Life' stamp set
  • Pearlized Doilies
  • Tranquil Textures DSP
This card is clean, simple & elegant!  It is just perfect in these neutral colors.  And I think this DSP pattern has a bohek look with the dots that are just so cool!

Notice the punched out words.  I actually stamped them onto a 1" strip of Whisper White card stock & then used the center of the Everyday Label punch, to punch them out.  Punching it this way gives you a totally different look with this punch doesn't it!

This card is similar to one that I did last month for my Spring Fling.  You can check it out BY CLICKING HERE!

stamp set:  'Enjoy Life'
card stock:  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Whisper White

Yesterday was a busy & long day.  I am feeling better, but not great yet.  And Masen & Ainslee have been sick too.   Masen went to the dr on Saturday & Ainslee went to the dr yesterday.  We've had the sinus crud, matted eyes, sore throats, etc.  I think mine is just allergies with the tight chest, cough, crud.....and I'm really allergic to spring grasses & pollen- especially the hay that all of our neighbors have been mowing the past week.  Masen is feeling better.  And poor Ainslee is just really plugged up.  I hope she slept ok last night & took her milk a little better & feels better today.  I hope we all are on the mends!  And I hope that the other boys don't end up sick.

We all went to the boys baseball games last night.  They did good.  It was fun to watch the twins play in their first game of the year.  Brayden got to pitch again & he scored a couple of runs.  His team was way ahead & won again.  When we got home I burnt the midnight oil stamping & the guys burnt the midnight oil working in the shop on the race car.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to his office at the courthouse & then home to work on the farm this afternoon.  I'm headed to town to get the Seeley boys.  I'll then come home & spend my day all 5 of the kids here.  If all goes ok & the guys get the race car done- we are all headed to the races tonight.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

A Brusho Butterfly!

Look at this beautiful butterfly card!!  I love everything about it!  It is so bright, cheerful & spring like!

This card is one that everyone made at my Spring Fling last month! It was a favorite of many that made it with me.
I used one of the NEW Metallic Pearls in the center of the butterfly!  These are available in the NEW Annual Catalog on June 1st!

I used Brusho to add color to the Shimmery White card stock to the get the colored added to the butterfly!!  Is it sooo cool!

Check out the step-by-step details on how I did it below!
How did I do it?
  1. Cut a piece of 3x3" Shimmery White card stock.
  2. Tapped on the these 3 Brusho colors- Brilliant Red, Gamboge & Yellow
  3. Using the Spritzer- spritzed water onto it.
  4. As it dried the colors combined& bled together too look like this!
  5. It is beautiful huh!
  6. And then I choose the colors of card stock that coordinated with it, so I could make my card!
Now check out all of these.......I shared a comparison, so that everyone could see how different this same technique looks like when done on different papers.

Look closely at all of these 3 different pieces of paper here.
#1- Is the Shimmery White card stock
#2- Is the Watercolor Paper
#3- is the Glossy White card stock
On all 3 of them I added the Brusho & spritzed the water on them- exactly the same.
But look how differently they all turned out!
I liked the vibrant colors of the Shimmery White card stock for my card, so chose that for this project.
All 3 of them are cool & different & have different possibilities for different projects.
stamp sets:  'You Move Me'- RETIRING; 'Marbled' background; 'Petal Palette' (words)
card stock:
  • So Saffron- 5 1/4 x 2"; 4 x 5 1/4" (for inside of card)
  • Calypso Coral- 4 1/4 x 3"; 11 x 2 3/4"" (to stamp butterflies on for the inside butterfly accordion)
  • Shimmery White- 3x3"(use Brusho on this & then cut out butterfly base)
  • Basic Black- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"; 2 3/4" strip (to cut butterfly out of); 4 1/4 x 1"; 2 3/4" strip (to cut circle out of)
ink:  Black Memento & Calypso Coral
other:  Layering Circle Framelits (2 1/2"), Magnetic Platform, Big Shot, Move Me Thinlits- RETIRING, Calypso Coral 1/8" ribbon, Metallic Pearls- NEW available June 1st, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Brusho, Stampin' Sprizter

Check out the INSIDE of this card!
I cut out 5 of these stamped butterflies, folded them in half, glued them together at the wing tips & made an accordion out of them.  I then adhered them to the center of my card & they popped out when I opened it up!

I worked on stamping stuff all day yesterday!  Last night we went to the lake to visit our kids that are camping there for the weekend.  It was fun, but hot.  Gosh- how can it be this hot when it is only the end of May.

I'm home today to stamp & finish planting flowers!  Hope to get alot accomplished.  Deke is home all day to powerwash!

Wishing you a very special Memorial Day today!

The 'Graceful Glass' Suite- sneak peek!

This is a beautiful NEW Suite in the upcoming catalog that starts on June 1st!

Check out the cool stained glass looking vellum called- Graceful Glass!!  And there is a coordinating stamp set- 'Painted Glass'.

This is a card that everyone at my Spring Fling made last month.  Don't you just love it!
I vellum looks & feels like it has been embossed with black embossing powder.  There are several different designs in the 6x6 stack.  They are all so pretty!!

I turned the vellum over & colored on the back side of it using my Stampin' Blends.
NOTE:  You could color the front side.  It would be more vibrant.  I wanted it to be more subtle & look more than a true stained glass window.

To adhere the vellum to the white card stock I used a little bit of our Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the out edge of the vellum.  It worked great!  That way you couldn't see any adhesive showing through the vellum.

Here are the supplies & the measurements I used to create this card.
stamp set:  'Painted Glass'
card stock:

I had yesterday off & was on the go almost all day!!  I rarely ever get a day off, so I tried to get as much done as I could.  I got my hair cut, ran errands, bought flowers, planted some of the flowers & went to the cemeteries.  When Deke got in we went to Osky for supper & made a quick stop at Walmart to get him a new chore watch & some chore jeans.  And then headed home.

Today I'm going to finish planting flowers & then work on trying to get stamping stuff from my last 3 classes all unpacked & put away, as right now they are all over my living room & dinning room.

Tonight we plan to go to visit the kids camping!

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs-
