A clean & simple 'Avant Garden'!

Oh I have just been a busy stamping bee, every spare minute I have had lately.  This is a card that I designed last night.  And I so like the way this card turned out!!  What do you think?  Isn't it pretty!

I used the Sale-a-bration sets- 'Avant Garden' & 'Delicate Details' on it.  Both of these stamp sets are only available until 3/31 & you can only get them as a FREE choice!  For every $50 you spend until 3/31, you get to choose one free Sale-a-bration product!

This card is sneak peek!  It is one of the cards everyone joining me the end of this month for my 'All Occasions' card classes will be making!  I hope everyone coming to my classes like it as much as I do!  This card just makes me thing of SPRING!

How did I do the flowers?  I shadow stamped them.
  • I stamped the darkest flower at full strength, directly onto the cardstock.
  • I then did NOT reink the stamp, but stamped it again, right beside the other flower- thus it is a lighter shade of the exact same color!
This is a great way to get 2 different colors & just use one ink pad!

Do you notice the dots along the top & bottom corner?  I used the dotted stamp in the 'Avant Garden' stamp set & used the Mint Macron ink onto the Mint Macron card stock.
stamp sets:  'Avant Garden' & 'Delicate Details'
card stock:  Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo & Whisper White
ink:  Mint Macron & Flirty Flamingo
other:  Paper Snips (to flag the Mint Macron strip), Big Shot, Layering Oval Framelits, Dimensionals, Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon, Clear Wink of Stella

Yesterday was a fun day with all of my boys!!  After Manda & Steven got off of work- Susie's Hair Hut was open for business & we got Trey's hair cut!  It wasn't an easy task.....but he looks so much better.  We should have taken before & after photos.

When the boys were all gone home, I stamped!!!  And Deke worked late on the farm.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for the morning for a little bit.  He'll then head to Mount Pleasant for the rest of day for a RUSS meeting.

I'm off this morning to go pick up the boys.  I'll take the twins to pre-school & spend my day with Trey & Masen.  The twins will be riding the bus here after school.  When the boys are all gone home I'll be a stamping fool again!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Oh.....another Chocolate Bunny!

Oh.......here is another Chocolate Bunny card!  This set is just sooo cute!!  It was easy to use & has so many cute images in it.  What a perfect Easter stamp set it is!  And it is awesome that it has coordinating framelits to go with it!

This cute card is one I created for my March monthly card classes!  Everyone joining me at my classes this week will be making this card.  I hope everyone likes it as much as I do!  I did a fun fold here too!

I am not sure what this fold is called.  What if I call it a fun fold flap card!  That sounds good to me!

I'm rockin' & rollin' with 'Reverse Words'!

This is one of the cards that everyone stamping with me at my monthly classes today & this coming week/week-end will be making!

I did the rock & roll technique here!  Gosh...I haven't done this technique for quite some time, but it is the first thing I thought of when I saw this stamp set for the first time!

This 'Reverse Words' stamp set is a new Sale-a-bration stamp & it is only available for FREE with a $50 order until 3/31!

How did I do the rock & roll technique?
  • I inked the whole stamp in So Saffron ink pad.
  • Then I light rolled the outside edges of the already inked stamp into the Bermuda Bay ink, being careful to not touch anything except the outside edges!
  • I then stamped into onto the Very Vanilla card stock.
Isn't it a cool look!!

I combined the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack with this stamp here on this card too!
Oh yeah.....and this card is a fun fold card too!  I like the way the top flips up.  I thought that adding the designer paper here was the perfect way to showcase it!

stamp set:  'Reverse Words'
card stock:  Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, Very Vanilla
designer paper:  Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack (6x6)
ink:  Bermuda Bay, So Saffron
other:  Thick Bermuda Bay Twine, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Confetti Star Punch, Fine Tip Glue

Check out this........
I wanted to share this stamped image with you too!  I was just playing to see how different adding the exact same colors to the stamp would look doing it this way.

How did I get this 2 color look?
  • I inked the whole stamp with So Saffron ink.
  • I then used a sponge dauber, inked it into the Bermuda Bay ink & tapped it onto the top 1/2 of the stamp.
  • I then breathed onto the inked stamp, so moisten the ink & stamped it onto the Very Vanilla card stock.
+++++
I spent my whole day & night stamping yesterday.   And bless Deke, as he helped me do some of the Big Shot cutting last night!

Woo hoo!!!!  I'm off to finish getting everything all cut, packed up & loaded into my car....and head out the door after bit.  Andrea is my hostess for today's class in N. Liberty!  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone & spending my time stamping with them!  I can't wait for them to see the rest of the cards that they get to make!

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a busy day with all of my boys!  Last night when they went home, Deke worked late on the farm & I tried to get caught up on laundry, cleaning & things around the house!  It was late when we ate supper.  I was just beat last night.

This morning we are up early & on the go!  Deke is headed out to chore & I'm off to go pick up the boys for the day.  We'll be heading right for the hog house this morning too.  We get baby piggies in, so we will be working on the farm helping Deke today!  The boys are excited!  And I think that the weather is going to be really nice too- thankfully!

I have no clue what the rest of the afternoon/evening will bring.  We need to pick up our taxes & I'm patiently waiting to have them call us to go get them- as farmers have to have their filed by March 1st.  When we go to do that I have some stamps to deliver along the way & some other errands to run too!

It's a Step Block BABY CARD!

Oh......it is a fun fold pink baby card!!  I just LOVE IT!

It is a Step Block fun fold!  I made one of these years ago.  But wow- making it into a baby block card with this stamp set is just the perfect combination!

I started playing with this 'Bookcase Builder' stamp set the other night.  You see my other 'Bookcase Builder' baby card HERE!

I think this card just turned out so cute!  It will be one of the fun fold cards that I have everyone make that comes to my Spring Fling Stamp Camp in April!  They will get to make 2 of them.  I'll have everyone make a pink one & a blue one too!
Check it out......this is what it looks like from the top side!   Isn't it neat that it is actual blocks!
And it even lays flat to put into an envelope & mail!

I put the "Congratulations" words on the bottom & thought that would be a good place to sign it too!

Wouldn't you love to get OR give a cute baby card like this one?

Yesterday was a long day!  We started out really early yesterday morning selling hogs.  And then I spent my day with the 2 little boys.  After school the twins came too & we kept the 3 Seeley boys for the evening.  We played games & watched a movie together.  And then played more games!  I think playing checkers was probably the most exciting part of the night!  Drake & Papa are both very competitive!  We took the boys to their home & put them to bed in their own beds & stayed with them until Manda & Steve got home.  This way everyone got to sleep in their own beds.

Today I'm home for the day & will spend it STAMPING!  I have tons to get done!!  I have lots of stamping classes coming up in the next 2 weeks to plan & get ready for.

Deke will chore & then spend the whole day helping Nathan in the shop, working on the race car.

Oh my.....what a difference 48 hours makes in the weather!  We went from 70* & no coats, to snow boots & winter coats again!  Our grass is covered with a white dusting of snow!  So I guess today is a great day to be home & stay inside to stamp!

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!

Monster from 'Yummy in My Tummy'!

So......I knew when I saw this 'Yummy in My Tummy' stamp set in the Occasions Catalog I was going to have to have it!  I knew that the boys would love it!  And of course they did- especially Drake!
I made this little monster card for all 5 of the boys for Valentines.  It is a stand up easel card.  And they all have their cards standing up in their rooms!

You can see other cards I made using this same easel card layout by-
**CLICKING HERE- 'Special Reason'
AND CLICKING HERE- 'So Very Much'
I thought it was fitting to punch out the word HUGS, using the Sweetheart Punch.

And the words that I punched out with the Classic Label punch say-"love you lots" on it & they are from the 'Sealed With Love' stamp set!

Notice his horns & the pads on his hands.....I colored them using the White Chalk Marker!

Yesterday was a busy day with all of the boys!  We didn't get to play outside.  It wasn't very warm.   So we did lots of coloring, cutting & reading!

When the boys went home last night I helped Deke outside with the pigs.  He then had a late meeting last night  in town & I worked on stamping stuff.

We are both up early this morning to mark, sort & load hogs, as the semi is to be here at 5:00 a.m.  Deke will be home all day to work on the farm.  Yeah- he doesn't have any meetings today!  He'll be here to eat lunch with the boys & me.

I'll be heading in to pick up the boys & take the twins to preschool.  I'll then spend the rest of my day with Trey & Masen.  Tonight the 3 Seeley boys will be here.  We'll take them home at their bedtime & stay with them there, until Manda & Steve get home tonight.

Another 'Special Reason' easel card!

Here is one of the cards that everyone joining me at my February monthly classes got to make this month!  It is a fun easel card!

Check out the glittery big flower!  And check out the Blushing Bride sequins I added to the center of the flower too, to add sparkle to them!
I used the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper in the annual catalog.

I chose the colors of this card, to coordinate with the Falling in Love Designer Paper.

NOTE:  I used Blushing Bride card stock.  When I first designed this card I used the Blushing Bride ink pad & stamped the flowers onto the card stock.  The next morning the Blushing Bride stamped flowers had faded tons & you could hardly see them!  So I stamped over the top of them using the Sweet Sugarplum ink onto the Blushing Bride card stock & Iloved the look!

The boys & I ran errands in the morning & played outside!  We came in to eat lunch & went back outside to play a little again before their naps!  When Masen went home last night I worked on entering orders & working on things in my pile of things to get caught up on.  The guys worked late in the shop.

This morning I'm off to go pick up the boys for the day!  Deke is off early to chore & then he'll be headed to Ottumwa for 2 meetings.  Tonight when the boys go home I'll go out to help Deke sort hogs in our outside lots. Deke then has a meeting later tonight in Sigourney for our Belva Deer Hotel committee.  And while he is there I'll work on unpacking stamp boxes from this months classes.  Hopefully I get alot done.

'Special Reason' flowers!!

Here is an other fun easel fold card!

I love these colors together!!!  I used Old Olive & Sweet Sugarplum!  I shadow stamped the 2 little flowers here.  How did I do that?  I inked the stamp, stamped it off onto my grid paper before I stamped it onto my Whisper White card stock- so that theses 2 little flowers are a shade lighter in color than the big flower.

This is a card that I created a couple of weeks ago for a monthly swap that I'm in with some demonstrator friends.  The should have gotten their cards in the mail last weekend.  I hope they all liked it!
I wanted to make the center of the flowers have some type of "pop out" look to them.  The center is a little different shaped, so I couldn't add our White Accents or Pearls to the centers of them.  So I decided to try adding our Fine Tip Glue to the center of the flowers.  I know I'd heard that our Fine Tip Glue is similar to our retired Crystal Effects that we use to have.  YEP- it worked great!  I am glad I tried it!  I just made sure that I let them dry for a few hours before putting the finished cards into my clear envelopes.  I will be forsure be using our Fine Tip Glue on other things I stamp in the future to add a glossy shine to them!
This is what the card looks like when it is standing up, as an easel!

So what do you think?  Didn't it turn out pretty!  I just love it!  It is a totally 'Susie' card.

You can see another card that earlier this month, where I used this same fold!

Yesterday was a fun day with the boys.  The weather was beautiful & we played outside!  This weather is amazing for February!  Hopefully Mother Nature isn't just teasing us.  I pray that we don't get any more snow or ice until next winter!

Susie's Hair Hut was open to give Deke a quick hair cut (as it was long over due).  And then Masen hung out with G'ma all evening.  As Sarah & Deke both had meetings & Nathan & Josh were in the shop.   I worked on sorting boxes of stamps that came & placed a few orders too after Masen went home.

This morning Deke is off to chore early & head to the office for the morning.  I'm off to go pick up the boys.  I'll take the twins to pre-school & then spend my day with Trey & Masen.

Tonight I hope to start working on putting away things that are in boxes from my classes that I had this month.  I guess we'll see how late I have boys & how much I get accomplished!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!
