Check out this cool bow made with the Envelope Punch Board!

Good morning!!
Yesterday I shared with you this cute card.
And today I'm going to share with you how I made the cool bow!
It is made with the Envelope Punch Board!
Demonstrator friend- Deb Valder made a u tube video on how to make a bow similar to this one.
Her bow was smaller, so I played with different lengths of card stock
& came up with liking my bow to look like this.

NOTE:
I will be making a card at all of my March classes with this type of bow on it,
so if you are coming to stamp with me you'll get to make one for yourself!
Here are the measurements I used for this bow:
  • CS- 8 1/2" x 1"
  • Punch at 4 1/4" (the middle of the card stock) on both sides of the piece of CS.
  • Then punch at 2" from each end, on each side of the piece of CS.
  • I also flagged the ends with the Punch Board too!
8 1/2" x 1"
Punch in center on both sides of CS @ 4 1/4".
This is what it looks like.
Punch at 2" on both sides of CS.
Punch at 2" on the other end of the CS strip.
 Punch on both sides.
This is what it looks like.
Make the flag on the ends of the bow like this.
This is what it will look like.
 Add 2 glue dots.
 Fold the strip like this.
Fold in both sides & stick to the glue dots.
(the left side is stuck down to the glue dot here)
This is the back side of the bow with both sides stuck down to the glue dots.
Flip it over & this is what it looks like from the front side.
I added a Neutrals button in the center of the bow to complete it.
COOL HUH!!!
++++++++++++++++
I'm off on my monthly run to deliver stamps tonight.
I think that Deke gets to come along,
so maybe we'll get to go out for supper too while we are out.

Last night Deke & I made a quick trip to Osky to deposit a hog check at the bank
& get some groceries.
When we got home he had to go out & help with a City Sewer issue in a town near by.
Bless him for going above & beyond in his position as a Keokuk County Board of Supervisor.

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
Happy Stamping!!
Hugs!

plus I have to get our farm tax stuff all done.

AND Brayden is home!

It was great to see them!

 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
We had a late night on the farm last night.
I was soooo cold & tired when we got in.
Hoping our truckers made it to the packing house ok with the piggies.

Sigourney Schools just cancelled for today.
We have drifts of snow everywhere.
Assume we got about 6" of new snow.
Manda is on an interviewing committee though & they have a meeting at 2:00 today-
so I'll just run in there to watch the boys at their home.
So this morning I'm off to my Stampin' Studio with my coffee in hand,
as I have LOTS of card stock to cut for my 3 workshops I have this week yet.

Deke is suppose to be headed to a meeting in Mt. Pleasant.
And he'll have to take my car since our Equinox in broke down & in the shop.

How many days is it until Spring?
40 something!??
I need to start counting them down!
I am so ready for Spring!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!

Manda & Steve had an ultra sound yesterday!! Both baby & mom are doing great!! And yes- we are adding another grandson to our tribe! Can't wait! He will be arriving in June!

Woo Hoo!!! This weeks "Weekly Deals"- February 4-10, 2014

Here is another Envelope Punch Board card......

I made a Rose card at Cathy's workshop last week &
liked the fold of it so well that I made another one.

So-
Here is another card I made with the Envelope Punch Board.
For this card I used the SAB set- 'See Ya Later'
with the 'Create a Cupcake' set & coordinating Cupcake Builder Punch.
Isn't it just so cute!

This is one of my February class cards-
so if you are stamping with me this week this will be one of the cards you'll get to make!
I should call this the one sheet wonder card- as with these measurements
you use almost one entire sheet of Chocolate Chip card stock.

I've had many people ask me how I did it!
Well- it wasn't a planned creation.....
and I'm not very good at being able to take & post pictures of things.....
but I'm going to give it a try.
 Base of card- 6 7/8 x 6 7/8- punch at 3 3/8".
Cut off 2 of the flaps & it will look like this.
NOTE:
You will be adding an inside base piece as shown below that is 5 1/2 x 4 1/8",
over the top of this- so be sure to check the size firs
& cut off the 2 tabs that are larger-
as this is not a true square base.
You want your finished card to be 5 1/2 x 4 1/4".
 Inside base piece= 5 1/2 x 4 1/8"
 This piece measures= 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 & punch on the Envelope Punch Board at 3 3/8".
You will flip this square & punch 4 times in order to punch off the square points,
making them a little rounded at the edges as shown here.
(These will be the layered pieces that goes on the front tabs.)
I then folded this in half & cut it on the fold mark- making 2 pieces.
Here are your 2 separate pieces.
Then attach them as shown to the front tabs.
Also notice where I added the 2 dimensionals,
as the tags will be attached to the card front here.
Notice the attachment of the tags as shown from the back side.
You can then slide the bottom tab as shown here to secure your card to stay shut!
This is it opened completely up.

'See Ya Later' (SAB) & 'Create a Cupcake'
card stock measurements:
  Chocolate Chip- 6 7/8 x 6 7/8- punch at 3 3/8"; 5 1/2 x 4 1/8; 4 1/8 x 2; 1" strip
Melon Mambo- 5 1/4 x 3 7/8; 4 1/8 x 2; 1" strip
 Pink Pirouette- 3 1/2 x 3 1/2- cut in half, 1" strip
 Whisper White- 4 1/8 x 2
ink:  Chocolate Chip
supplies:  Big Shot, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (SAB), Envelope Punch Board, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Crystal Effects, Cupcake Builder Punch, White Organza Ribbon, Pink Pirouette 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch

We have another snow storm headed our way!
(Oh the joys of living in Iowa!)
It is going to be a long next 24-48 hours.
We have to sell 2 semi loads of hogs tonight- so praying we an get the trucks in &
out & they get to the packing house safely.
Deke is suppose to be in Mt. Pleasant all day today for a meeting,
but don't know if he is going to risk going because of the weather.
There is no way he can get stranded & not make it home to do all of the chores, etc.

I did take Drake to see Dr. Mary yesterday.
He had strep throat & got some meds, so hopefully will be better soon.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Be sure to stay warm & safe!
Happy Stamping!
