The 'Graceful Glass' Suite- sneak peek!

This is a beautiful NEW Suite in the upcoming catalog that starts on June 1st!

Check out the cool stained glass looking vellum called- Graceful Glass!!  And there is a coordinating stamp set- 'Painted Glass'.

This is a card that everyone at my Spring Fling made last month.  Don't you just love it!
I vellum looks & feels like it has been embossed with black embossing powder.  There are several different designs in the 6x6 stack.  They are all so pretty!!

I turned the vellum over & colored on the back side of it using my Stampin' Blends.
NOTE:  You could color the front side.  It would be more vibrant.  I wanted it to be more subtle & look more than a true stained glass window.

To adhere the vellum to the white card stock I used a little bit of our Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the out edge of the vellum.  It worked great!  That way you couldn't see any adhesive showing through the vellum.

Here are the supplies & the measurements I used to create this card.
stamp set:  'Painted Glass'
card stock:
  • Smoky Slate- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"
  • Basic Black- 5 1/2 x 2", 2 3/8 x 1 1/2"
  • Whisper White- 5 1/4 x 1 3/4"; 4 x 5 1/4"; 2 3/4 x 1 1/4"
designer paper:

ink:  Black Memento
Stampin' Blends:  Light Rich Razzleberry & Light Old Oliveother:  3/8" Black Shimmery Ribbon- 4", Dimensionals, Glue Dots

I had yesterday off & was on the go almost all day!!  I rarely ever get a day off, so I tried to get as much done as I could.  I got my hair cut, ran errands, bought flowers, planted some of the flowers & went to the cemeteries.  When Deke got in we went to Osky for supper & made a quick stop at Walmart to get him a new chore watch & some chore jeans.  And then headed home.

Today I'm going to finish planting flowers & then work on trying to get stamping stuff from my last 3 classes all unpacked & put away, as right now they are all over my living room & dinning room.

Tonight we plan to go to visit the kids camping!

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a kind of a quite day.  The Seeley's weren't here & I didn't have to go to town to take them to school.  I just had Masen & Ainslee & we didn't do much.  I've been fighting bad allergies all week, a cough & tightening check.  I woke up this morning though feeling worse, like I had an elephant on my chest.  I had called my dr on Wednesday & he is on vacation until next week, so I couldn't go see him.  I am pretty sure I have the start of walking pneumonia.  It was January 2017 the last time I had it & thankfully I had refilled my prescription, so I started back on prednisone.  I hope I feel better soon.  If not I'll be going to the dr when he gets back next week.

So last night we didn't do much.  I laid on the couch & we watched a couple of movies & went to bed early.
This morning I'm up early to go get my hair cut.  This is the first Saturday I've had off in weeks & I have a huge list of things I need to get done.  Hopefully I feel better & can get alot done.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!!

Yesterday was a crazy day with all of the kids, but it was fun!  It is always great to have them all here together.  We played outside, visited Grandma Betsy, Grandpa Dave visited us, checked out the pigs, etc... we were very busy!  Last night we all went to Brayden's baseball game.  They lost.......he was bummed.  And then I burnt the midnight oil stamping when we got home.

This morning Deke is up early to chore, head to another meeting & then home to powerwash.  We are getting ready to get new baby piggies next week.  And I'm up early to stamp before the kids get here.  Then today I only have Masen & Ainslee.  Tonight when they go home I'll work on my piles of things to catch up on.  I have the whole weekend off, so hope to get caught up on things around here & tons accomplished.

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  And then last night we all went to the races.  It was a bad night.  Thankfully Nathan is ok, but we have a totaled race car.   It is now a pile that will go in the bone yard.  It wouldn't even fit in the enclosed trailer, so Deke road home with the wrecker guy & he brought it home to our shop.
Image may contain: car and outdoor
It was a short night.  I burnt the midnight oil stamping when we got home.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to Ottumwa.  He has 2 different meeting down there today.  I'm up early to stamp!  And then I'll spend my morning with the 3 little ones.  The 3 big boys will be here about 11:30- as today is the last day of school & they are done early.  So I'll have lunch ready almost ready when they get here.  And I'll spend the rest of my day with all 6 of them.  Tonight we are all going to Brayden's baseball game.

NEW Catalog Sneak Peeks & I used the Stamparatus!

Last week I burnt the midnight oil almost every night stamping!  I was working on swaps that I am doing with some of my demonstrator friends.  Plus I was getting ready for my 4 stamp classes I had last week/weekend too.  This week I still have some more swaps I've got to get done & mailed out too!  At my June classes I'll have LOTS of cards from these swaps, in my baskets & on my display board- with NEW products.

So check out this adorable card!!  It is one that I created for one of my swaps.  And I used LOTS of NEW products when creating it!
Here is my pile of giraffe's!  I stamped them, punched them out & then had to color them with my Stampin' Blends.
Don't they look cute all colored & layered!
Look at this!  I used the Stamparatus with the Alphabet set to make the card front background.  Check out this photo to see how I lined them all up onto both plates & then stamped each of them.
I had the 1st & 3rd lines on one plate & the 2nd & 4th lines on another plate.
And this is how they turned out!  Neat huh!  The type A person I am- just had to have the alphabet all in the correct order!  Even though the DSP strip through the center of the card doesn't allow you to see it all.
stamp sets:  'Animal Outing' & 'Lined Alphabet'
card stock:  Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Whisper White
designer paper: Garden Impressions (6x6 stack)
ink:  Black Memento
Stampin' Blends:  Dark Daffodil, Light Old Olive, Bronze
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Layering Circles Framelits, 2 1/4" Circle Punch, Starburst Circle Punch, Dimensionals, 1/4" Copper Trim

A Brusho "Butterfly"!

Look at the sparkles on this butterfly!!  It is just beautiful in person!!  I love it!  And so did lots of the ladies that have made it so far at my May monthly classes.
NOTES:
-On the solid piece of Glimmer I have shown here- I used the Yellow & the Gamboge Brusho colors.  -On the Glimmer piece above that I have the butterfly cut out of, I used the Red & Yellow Brusho colors.

Check out the Glimmer Butterfly on my card.
Here is how you make the butterfly-
  • Cut a 3x3" piece of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.
  • Sprinkle the Brilliant Red Brusho onto it.
  • Take a Spritzer with alcohol & sprayed onto the Glimmer Paper/Brusho combination.
  • Let it dry for about 1 hour.
  • Then with the Glimmer side down on your Big shot & the butterfly framelit (cutting side down) onto the slick back side of the Glimmer paper- run it through the Big Shot.
In my opinions I found:
-That the Red Brusho with the Alcohol spritzed on it alone, did not blend well & leave a vibrant color on the Glimmer paper.  I did re-wet/spray it several times with the alcohol & I took a sponge duaber & worked in the Red Brusho, so that it wasn't in a cluster.  When I added the Yellow Brusho with it-it  blended a little better & added some more color to the Glimmer.  But my favorite was when I combined the Yellow & the Camboge Brusho colors, as the blended well & showed more vibrant colors. But those colors didn't go with this card- but it sure would work well for another color combination of So Saffron & Pumpkin Pie or even Calypso Coral!  (hint! hint!)

No matter how many times you do this technique- it will NEVER turn out to be the exact same look!  Each piece has it's own/individual look!
So everyone joining me at my 4 stamp classes this weekend will be making this butterfly card with me!

stamp sets:  'Perennial Birthday' & 'Touches of Texture'
card stock:
  • Basic Black-- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"; 2 3/4" strip; 4 1/4 x 3 1/4"; 1/2 x 4 1/4"
  • Rose Red- 4 x 5 1/4"; 2 1/2 x 1"; 4x3"- RETIRING
  • Whisper White- 4 x 5 1/4"
  • Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer- 3x3"
ink:  Archival Basic Black- RETIRING
other:  1 3/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, You Move Me Thinlits (for the butterfly), Dimensionals

This morning I'm up early & gonna work on stamping stuff before the kids get here.  I'll spend my day with the 3 little ones.  And then we have a ballgame to go tonight.   I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping when we get home.

'A Little Wild' treats!

Look at these adorable little treats made with the 'A Little Wild' stamp set!  I am not sure which is cuter- the bear or the elephant.  They are both adorable!

My dear demonstrator friend Sharon McNeely made these for everyone that attended my Spring Fling last month.  Wow- such a great treat & nice surprise for me & all of my customers that attended too!
They all hard little rolo candies in them!

She cute them out with the coordinating Little Loves Framelits!

Yesterday I spent the day at home, except for going up to Deke's parents for a few minutes yesterday morning to say 'good-bye' to our Pennsylvania family that was here & headed back to their home.

I worked on stamping stuff all day/night.  In the afternoon, Manda came out to bring my Mother' day gift & we stamped for a couple of hours- creating & cutting invitations for Trey's birthday party!  Nathan stopped down last night & brought my Mother's Day card & flowers.

Deke is off early to chore this morning & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to walk & then head to town.  I'll take the twins to school & then spend my day with the 3 little ones.  Deke has another meeting tonight- so when the kids go home I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!

Yesterday was a busy day with family!  We were on the go the whole day!!  The boys soccer games got cancelled due to the rain.  We had an early Mother's day brunch at my sister Beckie & Dan's home.  It was fun getting to see everyone.  We then went to Deke's parents home last night & had supper with his family for our Mother's day there.

Today I'll be stamping- working on upcoming class projects.  Manda & the boys are coming out for awhile this afternoon & we are going to work on Trey's birthday invites.  Tonight we are going to Nathan & Sarah's for supper.

I hope you have a SUPER day!!
Wishing all mother's- a very special Mother's Day!
Happy Stamping!
