It is clean, simple & elegant!!

Check out the Pool Party 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon.

And this designer paper is just awesome!  It is just shiny dots on the kraft colored card stock!   WOW!  And it comes in many different colors of shiny dots too!  Check out on page 189 in the Annual Catalog.

Another CUTE 'Spooky Cat'

This is a fun fold card that I did for a swap with some demonstrator friends in August.  I just about forgot to post it!  I think it turned out so cute- don't you!
Check out the DSP.  It has Vanilla dots on it, so I took my Daffodil Delight marker & colored over them, so that they were yellow!  This is a fun & simple trick that you can do!

I am just so addicted to this cat punch, along with this fence & these Card Front Builder framelits together.

Again....this black cat just reminds me so much of our black house cat- Lucky.
stamp sets:
  • 'Garden Girl' (for the fence)
  • 'Spooky Cat' (for the words)
  • 'Merry Little Labels' (words for the inside of the card)
card stock:
  • Basic Black
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • So Saffron
  • Crumb Cake
designer paper:  Spooky Nights DSP
ink:  Black Memento
marker:  Daffodil Delight
other:   Paper Snips (to fussy cut out the fence), Perfect White Accent (colored with a black sharpie marker), Cat Punch, 2 1/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Card Front Builder Thinlits, dimensionals, Glue Dots, Classic Label Punch, Pretty Label Punch

The front flap opens up.
This is what it looks like on the inside.  Can you see how the front flap pulls up & then the card actually opens from the right side instead of the normal left side opening.
+++++++
Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Monday's are always hard, as I'm trying to get them back into my schedule.  The boys enjoyed their warm chocolate chip cookies after school.  And Brayden was so happy that he finally got his turn in riding in the tractor with Papa too.

After the kids went home I worked on placing orders & connecting with my hostesses.  I had a ton of things to catch up on from being gone all weekend to stamp classes.  I took a late supper out to the field to Deke & I rode a couple of rounds with him in the tractor too.  We saw lots of wild animals roaming around in the fields/pastures in the dark.......and there was a really big buck that was so pretty that I watched for quite awhile.

I cooked a whole roaster of meat yesterday too, so I got it all done & bagged before I went to bed also.

I'm up early this morning, as the 3 Wood kids are coming by 7.  We'll then all go to the Seeley's, eat breakfast, I'll take the 3 older boys to school & then spend my day with the 3 little ones here at our home.

Tonight I'll be working on stamping stuff when everyone is gone.  If it doesn't rain Deke will be working in the field again.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

'Merry Little Labels'

So today we can start counting down the next 12 weeks until Christmas!!  YIKES......can you believe it?  Christmas will be here before we know it!

So to start off our 12 week countdown, I'm sharing a pretty card that I just love!

Oh how I love this stamp set- 'Merry Little Labels' & coordinating punch- Everyday Label Punch !

I am so totally a punch girl.  So when I first got these 2 new products in July on our Stampin' Up! trip, I was just beyond thrilled to get them!!!

This is a card that I created for a swap I was in with some other demonstrators quite awhile ago.  I think it turned out cute!  And you can never go wrong with Navy & White for a Christmas card- can you?  This color combination is probably my 2 favorite color combinations for traditional Christmas cards!

I added a rhinestone to one of the snowflakes here on this card front, for the added bling!

And check out the cool gingham ribbon.  I love it.....it is pretty & just so easy to work with when tying a bow.
I used the Softly Falling Embossing folder, to go along with the snow/winter theme of this card.

And I used the Everyday Label Punch & layered a 2 1/2" Layering Circles Framelit behind it!
stamp set:  'Merry Little Labels'
card stock:  Night of Navy, Whisper White
ink:  Night of Navy
other:  Big Shot, Layering Circles Framelits, Navy Gingham Ribbon, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Everyday Label Punch, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Yesterday was a great day of stamping with everyone that joined me.  Katie & Norma were great hostesses!!!  We all had a fun day together making cards, visiting & enjoying the yummy snacks!!!

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to go pick up the boys, take them to school & spend my day with the 3 little ones.  The 3 big boys will be here after school for awhile, so I hope to get cookies made for them this afternoon.

Spooky Nights Owl Pizza Box

Check out this cute Halloween Treat!!!  I used one of the the Pizza Box's that are in the Holiday Catalog & decorated it with the Spooky Nights DSP & the Owl Stamp!

Check out the owls eyes, as I added some Black Rhinestones to them.

I fussy cut out the witches hat with my paper snips!

I added 3 1/4 x 3/4" DSP strips to all 4 sides of the pizza box to coordinate it all.

stamp set:  'Spooky Cat' (owl stamp  & words)
card stock:  Basic Black, Very Vanilla
designer paper:  Spooky Night DSP

That tree image & circle image is all DSP!  It is 3x3 sized, so you can get 12 of that image out of one sheet of the DSP.  That is pretty cool!  Stampin' Up! did an amazing job with coordinating this to work out that way!

Yesterday was a busy day with kids.  When they left last night I cut Nathan's hair & then worked for about 1 1/2 hours on the farm helping Deke sort pigs.  Steven & Nathan came to help us too......so that was nice.

'Half Full'

Check it out......didn't this card turn out cute!  This is one of the cards everyone joining me for one of my October monthly classes will be making!!

And it is a fun fold card too!

My dear demonstrator friend, Linda Bauwin designed this stamp set for her Million Dollar Achiever set.  She did an awesome presentation, using her (this) stamp set, when we were in Thailand in July.  For years, Deke & I have always spent time with Linda & her husband (Jay) when we go on Stampin' Up! trips.  And we both think so much of both of them.  Jay passed away about 1 1/2 years ago (right after we had just seen him at convention).  So be sure you look closely at the stamp set, the wine bottle has the year 1975 on it.  That is the year that Linda & Jay were married.  Isn't that just pretty darn special !!!  I know it brought tears to my eyes when Linda told us this.

This 'Half Full' stamp set is in the Holiday Catalog on page 42.  Be sure you check it out!  I knew when I first saw it that I just had to have it! It is a great stamp set!
The middle is the actual card that flips up.  Check it out when it opened up!
My inspiration for creating this card actually came from Linda too.  She gave me a White, Wisteria Wonder & Black card with the grapes stamped on it & the wine glasses.....so I totally changed the layout & things, added some Old Olive.......and I just love the way it turned out- don't you!

stamp sets:  'Half Full' & 'Tuscan Vineyard'
card stock:  Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black, Old Olive, Whisper White
ink:  Archival Basic Black
marker:  Wisteria Wonder
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Stitched Framelits (oval), Watercolor Pencils (Old Olive), Blender Pen, Everyday Label Punch, Black Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Fine Tip Glue
++++++
Yesterday was a busy & fun day with the kids.  The twins didn't have school, so they got to spend the day with us.  I enjoyed them & we did craft things most of the morning.  They were so excited when Papa got home from the courthouse at noon, so they could take turns riding with him in the tractor.

When the kids left last night, Manda & I ran to pick up pumpkins.  And I went to the grocery store & Dollar General.  I came home & worked on stamping stuff for awhile & finally called it a night.

This morning I'm off to take the boys to school & then spend my day with Trey, Masen & Ainslee.  Tonight Susie's Hair Hut is open to give Nathan a quick hair cut.  Then Nathan & I are working on the farm helping Deke sort hogs in the outside lot.  When I get in from the farm, I'll be working on stamping stuff!

Gotta run.......
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!

Another Halloween Treat- 'The Little Things'

I love this little Halloween Treats box......it is a triangle!

  • I took a 4 x8" piece of card stock

  • marked it at the 2" in the middle of the short side
  • then diagonally scored from the 2" mark to the center fold
  • punched a couple of holes along the top edge on both short sides
  • added an 8" piece of ribbon to tie it shut
  • then decorated it.
4 x 8"- score as shown & listed above
Punch holes

Here is a side view-
It has quite abit of space doesn't it!
Here is a top view.

Today I'll spend my day with the 3 littler ones & the 3 bigger ones will ride the bus here & be here tonight for awhile. Tonight when everyone is gone I'll be a stamping fool!  :)

Gotta run....
I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!
