Another card created with 'Look Up to Father'.

Good morning!
Last week I needed a sympathy card & a thinking of you card.
So here is the card that I did.

The sympathy card was for a dear friend Judy's (Steve's) father-in-law.
And then the other one was for my brother-in-law, Daryn, 
who passed away on New Year's Day 28 years ago.
 I still send a card to my in-laws each year on the anniversary of his passing 
& on his birthday!
Daryn is gone, but will never be forgotten- even after all of these years.

Cindy had an AWESOME Stampin' Party yesterday!
I love it that so many of them braved the cold to come stamp with me.
We had a fabulous day & I loved sharing my creations with them!

Thankfully with the electric heater & LP gas wall heater on each end of the house- 
we are keeping warm!
Gosh- I can't believe that it is a -15* out this morning.
I am wondering if we'll get a new furnace today?
Praying that they just have to move out the water heater to get the furnace out & that they do NOT have to remove the whole wall like our furnace guy mentioned to us on Saturday!  

I'm headed to Manda's house for the day to keep the boys there.
Sigourney has no school today, but she has a Dr. appointment in Iowa City.

New Occasions Catalog products!

Good morning!
Here is a quick post.

This is a card that I made at Founders last fall using new Occasions Catalog products.

It has been a crazy past 24 hours....our furnace in our home broke.

We aren't freezing- as have a LP wall heater in my Stampin' Studio that we turned up on high to help heat our home & then my brother-in-law brought us a big electric heater to help keep the other end of our home warm.

We'll hopefully be getting a new furnace installed by Monday night.

I'm off today to Cindy's workshop!

Good morning!

Here is a sweet tag card using the New Occasions Catalog set- 'Sweet Stems'.

And of course- one of my new favorite things- the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

It is amazing how I just grabbed some left over pieces laying on my Stampin' Studio table

Yesterday I stamped every spare minute I could all day!

Then last night we enjoyed Nathan & Brayden being here for supper.

Susie's Hair Hut was open for business-& I got both Nathan & Brayden's hair cut. 

Today I'm a stamp fool!

I pray I have good Mojo!

Here is a card that I created last nigh with some left over pieces of card stock 

laying on my stampin' table. 

I worked on swaps all day yesterday, getting ready for Leadership next week.

I will post photos of those cards next week- as don't want to spoil anything before the event.

But I have some cute new things to share! 

I love the new Starburst framelits!

And I'm SO EXCITED.....

Look how great they work with the 2 1/2" Circle punch!

Here is a side view of it.

If you look closely you can see it.....I stamped the new 'Hardwood' background stamp using Chocolate Chip onto the Chocolate Chip card stock.

This morning I have a few errands to run & then home to stamp!

 The cut out bird inspiration came from a swap that I got from Mary Warning.

I loved the way she cut out the bird & popped it up.

What a cold day yesterday!

It wasn't a fun time selling hogs in the cold & snow.

I did enjoy Brayden being here though.

Deke & Nathan are going to the Iowa Game tonight.

I'll be staying home alone & hope to get lots of stamping done!

Tonight is the 28th Anniversary of the passing of Deke's little brother Daryn- 

so we don't ever do much celebrating on New Years Eve.

Daryn was such a neat young man & we sure miss him!

A Sneak Peek using 'Vivid Vases'

Good morning!

Here is a sneak peek at another awesome Occasions Catalog new stamp set, 

along with some Sale-a-bration Designer Paper & embossing folder too!

Humm......I think all of these will be on many of your 'have to have' lists- huh???

This was a set that I really contemplated about cutting completely apart so I could use each of the vases & the words all separately.

(For those of you that know me well- know I usually do cut sets apart!)

So as of this moment I haven't cut it apart yet except for cutting off the words & mounting them on the end of the block.

Maybe I'll order another 'Vivid Vases' stamp set so I can have one cut apart 

& leave one with all of the vases together!

This idea came from a swap that I got from Raedean Shibata.

The rest of the week I pray I have good mojo & will be stamping away!

Tonight I'm a farmer, as we'll be selling hogs a day earlier than normal due to New Years Day.

I'm dreading having to work out in the cold, as I use to do it daily & didn't think anything about it- but now am not use to it.

Nathan will be here to help us though, as we will be sorting & loading them all from our outside lots.

I hope they were surprised when they got it in the mail.

My mom's cousin Debbie Mason passed away & her visitation is this afternoon.
Deke & I are planning to go.
She was only 58 & got sick 2 weeks ago.
She got pneumonia & then they found that she was full of cancer.
It is so sad.
Our hearts are heavy for her immediate family, as she will be greatly.
She was a very special lady.

Sledding fun at our home today!

 

Wow.....what fun the boys (big & little) had today in the snow.

Papa hooked up an old car trunk to the back of the Scout & they went sledding.

Look at them go!

Oh Mr. Snowman....

He even had a Pumpkin Pie cardstock nose....since we only had baby carrots.

And he started out pretty fat this morning & was pretty skinny by the end of the day.

It was so fun to watch them all playing together.

I took a bunch of photos on my camera, but need to get them downloaded sometime & share.

Manda took these photos with her phone & posted them on facebook.

I have LOTS of stamping to do in the next 7 days with New Year cards, Swaps & upcoming classes.
I need to clear off my Holiday Catalog shelf of stamps & put together & put my New Occasions Catalog sets & new products on my shelves.
