Susie's upcoming 'Halloween Treats' class

Good morning!
Here is a quick post to give you a sneak peek of the projects that I've created for my
upcoming 'Halloween Treats' class.
This class is all about treats!
There are several different boxes, bags, a 5x7 framed project & 2 cards- plus we'll be making matching envelopes with the NEW Envelope Punch Board to go with the 2 cards.

I LOVE Halloween & decided that there were so many awesome Halloween products in the Holiday Catalog that I just had to do a separate class just for Halloween!

I'm EXCITED about these projects & I'm looking forward to sharing with
everyone at this fun "special" class!!

The twins had good reports at their 2 year check up yesterday.
Dr. Mary was thrilled with them!
How blessed we are!

I'm dreading tonight.....we sell hogs.
So I'm a farmer again tonight.
Thankfully Nathan & Josh are coming out to help us sort & load them.
I pray that it cools off & rains soon!

Wishing you a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

'Gently Falling' with the masking tape technique......

Good morning!
I'm running behind....I still have stuff to cut & pack up for my workshop today.
So I'm sharing one of the cards we'll be making.
The girls on Thursday night made this & all thought it was cool!
It is the masking tape technique.
Tomorrow I'll post & share more information about it!
These are my colors!!
And my favorite season too!
I love FALL!
I sure enjoyed having Brayden with me this week.
I guess I should say we all did- Papa, me & the twins!
I was sad to see him go home with his mom & Mike last night.
He is such a sweetie!
We have had alot of fun this past week.
And made lots of great memories!

I got my hair cut yesterday morning.
Then spent my whole day/night stamping!
Brayden even stamped with me & picked out what he wants to take to
school for his Halloween Treats this year!
He LOVED the heat & stick powder & the Black Glitter!
(Imagine that!)
It was so cute when he saw how it was done.
So I finally got all 10 projects created for my upcoming Halloween Treats class!
Oh my GOSH is all I can say!
They are SO cute!!!
I will be taking them with me to my workshop today to show everyone there.
I can't wait until they see them.
My Halloween Treats class is on 09/29 in North Liberty & I'd love to have you join me!

Ok.....gotta run......
I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Sunday!
Happy Stamping!

Here is a beatuiful Circle Flip Thinlit card!

Good morning!
Happy Hump Day!
Here is a peek at a card that everyone joining me for my September workshops will be making!
(I'll show the whole card & the supply list later this week.)
It is created with the new Circle Flip Thinlit that I LOVE!
Aren't black & ivory cards just so elegant!

Check out the pretty butterfly created with 'Papillon Potpourri'-pg. 90.
It is a SU! special this month at a 15% discount when you purchase it as a
bundle with the set & the Bitty Butterfly punch.

Don't you love the big flower?
It is created with the single stamp-  'Five-way Flower'- pg. 85.
And I LOVE that it coordinates with many of our scallop circle punches!
This makes for easy layering.

We had a late night selling hogs last night.
But at least it was cooler out.
I'll have a busy day today with the boys!
Deke will be gone again all day for meetings.
Brayden is staying with Papa & G'ma tonight.
Aunt Manda will pick him up after school.
And I have LOTS & LOTS of cardstock to get cut within the next 24 hours.
As tomorrow night is my monthly Stampin' Night here & I have several ladies
joining me for a fun evening to create 6 awesome cards!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!

'Truly Grateful'

Good morning!
I have been having fun making cards with one of the Holiday Catalog sets- 'Truly Grateful'.
Here is one of them.
 'Truly Grateful'
cs:  Soft Suede & Whisper White
ink:  Crushed Curry, Soft Suede
marker:  Soft Suede
dp:  Sweater Weather
supplies:  1 1/4" Burlap ribbon, sponge, dimensionals, Neutrals Candy Dots (Soft Suede)

I cleaned & stamped in my studio most of the day/night yesterday.
Although-
I enjoyed my walk with Sheryl (my sister-in-law) yesterday morning.
Then ran up to Deke's parents (next door) to visit for about 1 hour & eat lunch with everyone.
It was nice to see Deke's family....as they don't get together very often.
It was especially nice to get to see & visit with Sheryl the past 2 days.

I have 5 of the 6 cards for my workshops this week created.
Now to get the last one created & all of my card stock cut.
They are all super cute!!!
I can't wait to see everyone in the next couple of weeks & stamp with you!

I have a busy day today with the twins.
Then I have rehearsal for my upcoming Stampin' Up! webinar late this afternoon
(when the boys leave) & then we sell hogs tonight, so I'll be a farmer.

A 'Gorgeous Grunge' birthday card......for Steve!

Good morning!
Here is Steve's birthday card......another 'Gorgeous Grunge' one.
You might call this a quickie.
It is clean & simple.
'Gorgeous Grunge' & 'Bring on the Cake'
cs:  Whisper White, Smoky Slate & Basic Gray
ink:  Basic Gray
supplies:  2 1/2" Circle punch, Label Bracket punch, Extra Large Oval punch, dimensionals

NOTES:
* I rounded the top corner of the card using the 1 3/4" circle punch.
* I used 4 of the Label Bracket punch outs to create the layer behind the works- Birthday Wishes.

We had a nice, but busy day yesterday!
The twins went home about 9:00 & I did laundry & cooked meat.
I then worked in my stamp studio a couple of hours, cleaning off my table some
& I made Steve's birthday card.
My sister-in-law & brother-in-law (Sheryl & Dan) stopped to visit a bit.
(which was awesome!)
Then we went to the Seeley's home for the twins birthday supper/party!
It was a nice time had  by the Seeley & Wood combined families!
 The boys opening their gifts.
The twins got a bubble machine (you can't see the bubbles).
Too bad you couldn't hear all of the laughs & have seen them trying to
catch the bubbles....it was super cute!

I'm off to my studio with my coffee to continue to clean up.
Then heading to town in a bit to go on a walk & visit with my sister-in-law Sheryl.
Then I'll be back home to spend the rest of the day/night in my studio cleaning & stamping!
I have LOTS to get done today for my upcoming workshops this week!
So that means I'll be drinking lots of coffee too.

I hope you enjoy a wonderful Labor Day- whatever you may be doing!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

To the new Mr. & Mrs.....

Good morning!!
Wow- what a busy weekend!!

This is the wedding card that I made for Kimi & Mike yesterday.
When creating this I was inspired by a card that I saw at convention that Debbie Peters made.
I added some more layers & dimensionals- but the center piece is pretty much just like hers was.
I think that this is very elegant!
And I love the printed window sheet.
 'Label Love'
cs:  Whisper White, Basic Gray, Smoky Gray, Brushed Silver
dp:  Quatrefancy Specialty (printed window sheet)
ink:  Versamark
supplies:  Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Jumbo Rhinestones, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, Artisan Label punch, 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Big Shot, Modern Mosaic embossing folder, dimensionals, glue dot

I think this card is really cool.
I just might have to make this be one of my 'All Occasions' cards for my class next March.
What do you think?
Should I?

The twins were here yesterday as Steve took pictures for a weddng.
I got their hair cut.
(Which wasn't an easy task, but ended up turning out ok in the end!)
Then they went to Kimi & Mikes' wedding with us.
They were thrilled to get to see Brayden.
It was a beautiful celebration!
And we wish them much happiness!
The twins stayed over night & will be heading home soon.
We have another busy day today!
We will be celebrating the twins 2nd birthday!
Manda & Steve are having family come to their home for supper tonight for the boys' party.
I'm cooking a hog now so that we can take pork with us for sandwiches.

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

"Congratulations" to Nathan on his WIN at Columbus Junction last night & for being the 2013 Stock Car Champion there!

Photo: Starting on the pole at CJ Speedway tonight.

Here is Drake's M&M 'flip' birthday card!

Good morning!
This is Drake's M&M 'flip' birthday card.
It is the same as Brody's except that I made the base of his Real Red
instead of Pacific Point.

cs:  Pacific Point, Real Red, Gumball Green, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight
supplies:  Big Shot, Circle Flip framelit, Pacific Point Stitched ribbon, 2 1/2" Circle punch, 3/4" circle punch, Stripes embossing folder
retired:  Alphabet sets
I think that this card turned out really cute!
Here are both of the cards together!
Did you notice how I made the circle on one of these at the top &
the other one is at the bottom?
It is so easy to just fold it differently to either of these.

Today is our son-in-law Steve's birthday!
I hope he has a special day!
Tomorrow I'll hopefully share his card with you!

Today is also a busy day with weddings for our family.
Manda & Steve have a wedding that Steve is taking pictures at,
so the twins will be spending the day with us.
Plus,
Brayden's mom (Kimi) & Mike are getting married this afternoon too-
so we'll be attending their wedding & taking the twins along.

I hope you have a SUPER Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

The twins & their "Wood" birthday cake!

Some of you already know our "Wood" family tradition with this cake.
And some of you have even had it before!
For those of you that haven't- you should try it!
It is yummy!
 Here is Brody!
And here is Drake.
They both LOVE crispix cake & they especially LOVE the M&Ms on the top!
The cake worked perfectly this year for their M&M birthday theme.
Isn't this precious!

Crispix Bars/Cake

Melt:
1 stick margarine
1/4 c. white karo sryup
16 oz. pkg of marshmellows
(I use small ones as they melt faster)

Remove from heat:
Add 1 c. Peanutbutter
Stir in good.
Then add a 12 oz. box of Crispix.
Stirring carefully so that you don't crumble the hexagon cereal squares.
Press into a greased angel food cake pan or cookie sheet.

(They don't cut very well- we just pull them apart!)

ENJOY!!!

I have taken this cake to work with me at the courthouse for several birthdays.
I've made this cake/bars for downline meetings.
I've made this cake for friends birthdays.
and
I've made this as bars for my stamp camps!
But everyone in our family on their birthday gets a cake like this.
Deke's mom started this tradition & it is been a fun one to continue!
We all love it!
