A fun criss cross card

Here is another criss cross card using some strips of DSP!

 

 I used several products from the Bee Mine Suite!

They can be found in the Spring Mini on page 9.

#162554- Bee My Valentine Bundle= $38.50

(stamp set & punch)

#162546- Bee Mine DSP= $12.50

#162557- Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers= $8.00

 

How did I do it?

*4x4" Basic White CS

*Make diagonal lines from corner to corner

*2 DSP strips that measure 1/2 x 6" each.

*Adhere them to the Basic White cardstock about 1" in on each corner.

DO NOT add adhesive in the center.

 

*Now weave 2 more strips thru each other & adhere them

on each end at the points.

*Flip over & cut off the points on each corner using scissors.

 

*It now looks like this.

*Adhere a 3/4" square to each of the 4 corners.

*Emboss with an embossing folder.

*Adhere to card front.

*Finish decorating as desired.

Notice the words?

I stamped them onto a 1/2" strip of Basic White CS

and then flagged the ends like this- using the 

#161167- Inked & Tiled Punch Pack- AC pg. 147 = $40.00.

 

NOTE:  Where did these words come from?

I cut apart the word stamp in the 'Bee My Valentine' stamp set.

Isn't this a cool quilt pattern!

 

Notice how I embossed the whole image once I had it adhered together.

Adorning Hearts criss cross lattice card

Check out this cool heart card!

This is a fun criss cross lattice layout.

 

This is one of the cards that everyone stamping with me

at my January classes got to make.

 

I used the 

#162570- Adoring Hearts Bundle- Spring Mini pg. 18= $53.00

#162947- Softly Sophisticated Bundle (Embossing Folder)- free SAB choice

#162864- Everyday Details Dies- Spring Mini pg. 28= $34.00

Here is how I did the criss cross lattice-

I cut 6 DSP strips that measure 1/4 x 4"- 3 each of 2 different patterns.

Notice how I added them to the 2 x 5" piece of Basic White card stock.

I laid the 2 end ones on the bottom first & then the middle one.

Then I adhered the 2 end ones on the top & then the center one last.

I turned the card stock over & used my scissors to trim the excess off of the edges.

 

 Isn't this so pretty!

And just think of the many different ways you could use this

any DSP with this layout & make a criss cross lattice card!

Check out the bee wings.

I added Wink of Stella over the top of Vellum to make them sparkle.

This is what it looks like when opened up!

The 'window' in the front of it is neat huh!

Here are the supplies & measurements.

• Sweet Sorbet- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"- for card base
  
• Sweet Sorbet- 3/4" strip- punch out 3 small hearts
  
• Petal Pink- 5 1/4 x 8"- emboss the front side & punch out 'window' with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch
  
• Daffodil Delight- 1 1/2" strip- stamp bee onto & punch out
  
• Vellum- 1 1/2" strip- punch out wings & add Wink of Stella
  
• Basic White- 1 1/2" strip- stamp wings onto & punch out
  
• Basic White- 2 1/4" strip- stamp words onto & punch out
