Cottage Wreath Bundle

So which do you like better?
THIS OR THAT????

THIS- the card
OR
THAT- the framed decor?

These are exactly the same project except the
Brick & Mortar Crumb Cake Piece is 4 x 5 1/4' on the card.
AND on the framed it is 4 x 6".

CHECK OUT the Catalog sample on page 70 in the Holiday Catalog.
I was inspired by the sample there to make these projects!

Here is my card......
I added Wink of Stella over the holly berries on the wreath here.
NOTE:  Be careful to stay in the lines of the berries, as the ink will bleed outside the image
if you go outside the image when using the Wink of Stella on the Classic Ink.
And here is my framed decor.......
NOTE that on the berries on the door in this framed decor piece
I added the Red Pearlized Enamel Effects to make them pop out (3D look).
I bought this 4x6" (window size) frame years ago
& honestly can't remember where.
It was raw wood that was unstained so I used my
Blending Brush & Crumb Cake ink to add some brown to it.
I let this DRY for a bit AND
then added some WHITE CRAFT INK on it by
LIGHTLY DRAGGING my ink pad across the frame.
*NOTE that the White Craft Ink does take awhile to dry.
(like approx 2 hours or so)

Here are the supplies & measurements.
stamp sets:  'Cottage Wreath' & 'Leaves of Holly' (words)
card stock:
  •  Thick Basic White- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4"- for card base
  • Crumb Cake- 4 x 6"(decor) or 4 x 5 1/4" (card)-emboss this with Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder
  • Crumb Cake- 2 1/4 x 4 1/2"
  • Basic White- 3 x 5"
  • Basic White- 2 pieces- 1 x 2" & emboss with Timber 3D Embossing Folder (for upper part of the door
  • Basic White- 2 pieces- 1 x 2 1/4"- emboss with Timber 3D Embossing Folder (for lower part of the door)

Storybook Gnomes

Look at this cute swinging legged gnome!
He is just stinkin' adorable!

How did I make the gnome?
Here are all of the pieces I used to make the gnome.
Hat, nose, beard, 2 hands, 2 arms & feet.
I cut the swing hole piece out of a 3/4 x 1" piece.

NOTE:  I did trim the swing hole piece down though after taking this photo
& made it 3/8 x 1" & I diagonally snipped of the top corners too a little,
as it was hitting on the arms when it was wider.
This is the gnome all assembled.
Add dimensionals as shown- be sure to not put them too low.
AND put the arms UP a little higher than shown,
so that they don't hit on the legs when they swing.
Add the swing piece & legs like this with 2 mini dimensionals on top of each other.
Theses stacked dimensionals will be stuck to the back side of the beard.
NOTE:  I did snip the top corners off of this just alittle from the swinging mechanism
so it wouldn't hit the arms when it was swinging.
Now add the gnome to the embossed snowflake piece.
This is what the card looks like when it is opened up.
Notice how I added the DSP over the top right side of the white inside piece.

I made this gnome card a birthday card!
As I think he looks happy & like he is celebrating!
Here are the supplies & measurements.

Notice how I only used the top part of this box (right at the fold).
This is also the piece that you'll use the center part to die
cut out of the Rustic Harvest DSP!

How did I make it?
Here is the pattern on how to make the box part!
  • 5 1/4 x 7 1/4" & score at 2" on all sides of this rectangle.
  • Cut on the scored lines as shown.
  • Cut off 1/2 of the 4 flaps on the outside edges as shown above.
  • Add Tear & Tape as shown.
  • Now fold & stick it together!
AND this is what the box looks like when put together!
NOTE:  I did attach the DSP to both sides & emboss them using the
Stripes Embossing Folder BEFORE I attached them to the sides of the box.
I used the Layering Circle Dies to make the holes in top of the pumpkin box handle.

Awash in Beauty DSP latch card

Here is a fun fold latch card!

I used the gorgeous Awash in Beauty DSP!
Here is what the card looks like as you are starting to open it up.
The flower is popped up with dimensionals.
The flower is what holds the card shut by sliding the latch under the flower.
This is what the card looks like when opened up!
Check out the latch!
I always like to find "other" ways to use punches.
And I love the look when using this punch like this latch!

How did I make the latch?
I cut a 1 1/4" strip of Polished Pink card stock
& punched it out using the Label Me Lovely Punch.
Just slide the strip of card stock into the punch as shown
& line it up so that there is just little notches on all 4 corners.
Cool huh!
Now the latch just needs to be tucked in under the flower again to hold the card shut.
I think this is such a pretty card!
Here are the supplies & measurements.
stamp set:  'Peaceful Moments' (words)
card stock:
  • Polished Pink- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 3" & 7 1/4"- fold for card base
