Sale-a-bration 'Avant Garden' with 'Delicate Details'!

Wow......I LOVE the way this card turned out!  It is just very stunning in person!  This is totally a "Susie card".  And if you know me- you know whenever I use this Wisteria Wonder color & green together, it reminds me of my dear grandma!!! 

I shadow stamped this flower.....which means I inked it up, stamped it onto the Whisper White card stock, barely lifted it & moved it slightly & stamped it again!  I then stamped the flower stamen in the flower center using the Black Memento pad. And the stem of the flower is stamped in Wild Wasabi.

This is also a fun fold card!  Check it out when it is opened up!  CUTE huh!  

I did some cards last fall with a fold similar to this one, but they were going the other direction.  (horizontal, not vertical)

Woo Hoo!  This card is one that everyone joining me to stamp this week for my monthly card classes will be making!  I hope they like it as well as I do!!

Yesterday was a busy day with all of the boys.  When they left last night I worked on stamping stuff all night!

Today is going to be a crazy day........This morning Deke is off early to chore.  And I'm off early to go get Brody.  I'll bring him back to our home, get his breakfast ready & leave him here with Deke to take him to school.  Deke will then go to the courthouse for awhile & then he'll be heading to Mt. Pleasant for a meeting that he has there today.  I'm going to go with Manda to take Drake to Bloomfield to see his doctor & he has an early appointment.  He is still sick and we've just got to get him better.  He is super bummed that he is gonna miss pre-school again. 

Tonight is my farmer night helping Deke with the hogs!  Thankfully it isn't going to be super cold out for a change!  We'll see what time I get in.  I need to cut card stock- so I hope I get to work on that too tonight.  Plus I still have our Christmas tree up & it needs to come down......so I have room to set up tables & chairs for stamp classes that will be here this weekend.

Yesterday was a long day!!  I was beat last night when the boys went home.  Brayden & Masen were here late, as Nathan referred a game & Sarah had a late meeting.  We had fun though playing games & doing things together.  I worked on stamping stuff  after they left for awhile. 

This morning I'm off early to go pick up Brayden & then head to the Seeley's.  I'll get him his breakfast & then take him to school.  Then I'll head home & spend my day with the 4 other boys here.  

Tonight when the boys go home I have tons of stamping stuff to get done.

Jeannie was a great hostess yesterday!  We all had a great day of stamping together!!  What a way to kick off the New Year with new stamp sets & accessories from the Occasions & Sale-a-bration Catalogs!

Last night I was beat when I got home.  I unloaded the car, made soup & sandwiches for supper, replied to emails & fell asleep on the couch.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to go pick up all of my boys.  I'll feed the 3 bigger ones & take them to school.  Then the 2 little boys & I will head back out to our home for the day.  Brayden & Masen will be here late tonight, as Nathan is referring a ball game & Sarah has a late meeting.  I'm looking forward to catching up with Brayden as I haven't seen him since last Sunday, other then for the 45 mins this morning that we were eating breakfast & getting ready for school.

More hearts!!

Here is another cute heart card.  I used the 'Happy Valentine's Day' words on it from the 'Sealed with Love' stamp set.

If you look closely at the Red Circle layer- I used the new Stitched Framelit for that.

The hearts were all cut out with the Love Note Framelits Dies.

And this new Sending Love Designer Paper (6x6) Stack is very cool! I love all of the different patterns in it.  The whole stack is red & white....with awesome prints in it!

Another Ballon card!

I love these colors together!  This designer paper is really pretty!!  The first time I looked at it in the Occasions Catalog, I can honestly say that it wasn't one of the things that I had to have.  Then I saw it in person & I just knew I had to have it!  The color combinations in the whole package, along with the prints, are awesome!  

I made a card similar to this card using the same designer paper, just different colors & patterns in it.  You can see that card HERE!

Yesterday was a busy day running errands.  Trey & I didn't get home until 1:00, so had to eat a late lunch.  When he was gone last night, I burnt the midnight oil working on figuring out the rest of my card projects for this months stamp classes!

Today I don't plan to leave the house other than feed my outside animals & go to the mail box.  I will be a stamping fool!!  And I'm praying I have good mojo & that my ideas just click like I want them to.

I didn't do much yesterday.  I felt better, but still not the best.  That darn flu is totally wicked!!  I didn't have any boys.  We are all just passing it around, as Sarah has it now.  

I did get Christmas thank you cards made last night & ready to go out though.  

Dick had a pretty good day yesterday.  Maybe things are on the uphill side for him.  

This morning I'm off to pick up the boys.  The twins have school & Trey will spend his day with Grandma.  We'll run LOTS of errands this morning & then head home for the rest of the day.  

Tonight I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping!!  I hope I have good mojo!  There are sooo many new products in the Occasions & Sale-a-bration catalogs that I'm having a hard time trying to narrow it down to which ones I'm using for my monthly classes.

OH yesterday was a rotten day!!  Nathan & I both got the flu from Drake, Steve & Masen.  Thankfully I only had Masen & Trey here for the day...and they were both gone by 4:30.  I can't remember having the stomach flu that bad for years.  It was terribly wicked!  I am praying now that the other boys don't end up getting it, plus Deke & Manda- don't end up getting it.

Last night Deke ended up having to sell hogs & move them by himself, since I was sick.  I felt terrible about that too, but there was no way I could go out & help him.  

Dick had an ok day yesterday....he had a couple more bad spells.  Not sure whether it is his brain bleeding or a stroke.  My heart breaks for him, my mom & all of our family.  It is just so sad to see him in so much pain.  I honestly don't think he'll ever get to leave the hospital.  They haven't even started to do anything with is dislocated shoulder- that is also broken in 2 spots, since he can't make it through a surgery.  Please keep Dick in your prayers!

I did nothing last night!  I was just too sick.  I feel better today......but not good.  My stomach is very sore, I ache everywhere & have a terrible headache.  I'm not sure what today will bring....we'll play it by ear.

Yesterday was a busy day with the boys.  They are thankfully all feeling better!!  When they went home last night I worked on Stampin' stuff.  

Thank you to so many of you for the emails, texts & messages- sending your thoughts & prayers for my step-dad Dick & our family.  Several of you have asked for updates & it is easiest to just post it here than contact everyone.  I will try to not write a whole book for you about it.......

Yesterday Dick had some good moments & some bad ones.  They think that he is having strokes & have done several more CT's.  All 3 of my step-sisters, my mom & my sister Julie were at the hospital all day with him.  My step-sister (Brenda) called us last night about 6:30 & said that he was was doing worse.....so I got some things finished up & as soon as Deke was in from choring, we were heading out for Iowa City to see him & be there with everyone at the hospital.   Brenda called again, just as we were driving out our driveway & said he was doing a little better, so we decided to stay home.  My mom & sister Julie went back up & my step- sisters Brenda, Pam & Debbie were all still already there.   Our oldest step-sister (Rhonda) lives in Texas & she will hopefully be home today.  Thankfully all of the rest of us live between Oskaloosa & Iowa City- so we are pretty close.   I hope that Dick had a peaceful night & is doing better much better today.  I know that he is in alot of pain.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for the morning.  I'm off early to go pick up the boys.  I'll take the twins to school & head back out to our house for the day with Trey & Masen.  

Tonight when the boys are all gone home, I'm a farmer- helping Deke with the pigs.  We sell hogs & then need to get some moved afterwards too.  It is gonna be a cold night!

When it rains it pours.......wow how those words are so true around our house right now.  What a bad start we've had for 2017!

Our weather has been wet, (rainy) & super foggy......  The temps have been right around 32-36*.  Today is suppose to be falling temps all day!  YIKES!

Yesterday morning my step dad was in a really bad automobile accident.  He rolled his pick-up.  He was rushed to the local hospital & then transferred to the University Hospital in Iowa City.  He has a broken shoulder, LOTS of bruises & 2 brain bleeds.  They did multiple CT scans & he was finally moved from the ER to an intensive care room late yesterday afternoon.  The last CT showed that the brain bleeds were stable.  So we are praying for his healing.   We are not sure what is actually going to be in store for him.  The dr said he was not strong enough for any surgeries.  I am glad we were able to get to the hospital to see him. 

Plus-

Yesterday morning Drake & Masen both woke up with the flu & sick to their stomaches, Steve had a fever & Sarah had a fever & went to the urgent care- as she had strep throat & ear infection.  

Our whole day yesterday was crazy!!!  I spent my morning getting things ready for lunch & we enjoyed a last meal with the Wood Family from New Jersey at Deke's parents.  We took them to the airport.  On our way home we went to the hospital to see Dick.  When we got home from there Deke chored & I went into the Seeley's to help Manda do touch-up painting in their new toy room, as they are getting carpet laid in it today.  It was a long day & I was literally beat last night.

This morning Deke is off to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off to go to the Seeley's & I might end up spending my day with them there.  We are playing it by ear to see how the boys all feel.  Hoping they are all better & we don't have to go to the dr.  And I'm praying that no one else gets sick. 

Tonight I have piles of things from the past 5 days to catch up on!!!  I hope I get alot done!

We had a great day with the Wood Family yesterday!!  Almost everyone was there except for Stephanie, Chris, Katie & Henry-which we greatly missed.  It was late when we got home again last night.

This morning I'll get getting a few things done around the house & then head back up to Deke's parents.  I'm making breaded tenderloins for our New Jersey family to have before we head out to take them back to the airport, as they'll be going back to their home.  It has been great to spend a few days with them & see them.  We're so thankful they came to visit us.  And it has been a blessing too that the weather has been good for safer traveling too!

When we get back from the airport this afternoon we are going to go to the Seeley's & help them paint, move furniture & work on things in their home.

I love this clean & simple layout!!  And of course I love the red bling I added to it too.  I just used a Red Sharpie marker & colored on some of our basic rhinestones to make them red!

We enjoyed our evening at Deke's parents with some of our family last night.  Our supper of wilted lettuce & dumplings was yummy!!  And the company was great!!!!  

Last night some of them had fun playing card games for awhile.  And my sister-in-law Sheryl & I spent our night visiting & stamping together!!!  We brought in the New Year of 2017 together!  

Today we'll be with Deke's family again.  Almost everyone will be here, as we have our Wood Family Christmas!!  I can't wait to see everyone!
